of it with the paddle does a great job with some great pushes to get to the top of his grease and make the save from a high danger area inching closer to the Midway Mark of the period one nothing is where we sit at this point offense is don't face off and he wins the draw Denise him he got all of it Rodriguez carries the puck in his own Zone to the front and that's off Target as it hits a body the Kings take it across the Blue Line Los Angeles has possession to the puck in the offensive end huge steal at his own end gains The Zone through Center oh love the defensive stick workor there to poke that one away Aron's taking it from his own end moves it to Mo quick shot that one's off the blocker forsing lugging the pock here's a chance by the goer the Panthers get a hold of the puck along the boards good heads up defensive play as he extends the stick there's the whistle let's see what the referee saw well it's kind of hard to protect a one goal lead when you're sitting in the box and your team shorthanded James the PK units going to have to find a way to save off the power play here and get the job done it's the first penalty kill for this team tonight guys and we know their the drop the puck here and it's a quick pass to Anderson and that slides right out to Center Ice taken by Anderson and he slides it quickly to Moore drives to The Sweet Spot Great defensive effort there Rodriguez moves the puck the Panthers looking against the half [Applause] on the back hand stopped by the goal tender well that shot came quick and it was right out front he had to be sharp he' be right on it and show His Brilliant reflexes pass the Midway Mark in this period you can feel the energy In This Crowd it's a tie game and they win the offensive zone face off and here we go the Panthers gain control of the puck against the wall Florida's across the Blue Line shot B stop picked up along the boards by EAD into the corner of the attacking area delayed penalty coming up here right up Main Street and on the attack moves it to the middle and he shuts down a great scoring chance there whistle blow stopping the play when you El to cross check you're sending a message to your opponent but if the official is there guess what you're going to March your way to the Box they scored earlier on the power play James and it was simple but it was effective why because they know the personnel and they know the strengths of their team and guess what it's all on the blue line and the way they shoot the puck and it is hard and it is heavy but it's about getting the screen in front whether it's a flash screen whether it's a double stack doesn't matter they just got to get there and take away the eyes of the goenda quickly over to fella God oh goes up the GL and he keeps it out in the game of hockey you know that your opponent is so to attack and drive the net and really get in the eyes of the tender and for the go tender it's really important when there's a lot of traffic in front to make sure they have their eyes so it's out battling outworking your opponent for those sight lines he does an impressive job of making that save the Kings with a five on three and they' got loads of time to work with here five on three you know your opponent has big bodies with long sticks in the middle of the ice you have to find a way to move him how do you do that you either shoot the puck or you move it takes the puck as the clock ticks down on the penalty kill the Panthers will play it from the defensive Zone Los Angeles gains a hold of possession gaining momentum along the wing pass to the front I really like to save James because he challenges the shooter who's all alone in the SL area he turns aside a real dangerous opportunity takes the pass the more to the middle here's the pass thr oh comes up on a stop grabbed along the board by dear and look at this they really ring it up the intensity here tremendous cycle work going to the corner C into the paint scooped up against the wall look at the pass got now and the tendy's going to hang on and get a whistle here in a reset much needed one at that oh yeah I mean they have just been taken control of In Their Own Zone James and they needed this reset they needed the go tender to pounce on that puck they can all collect themselves and get a line change forsing got on the boards Florida's on the attack from the slot slot and that cars off a body in the lane C to the paint denies him with the pad this is a really nice save James I mean the shooters in the middle of the ice is in the slot area and he's got to get to the top of the crease Square to the puck to be able to make that save great job special team so important can they capitalize on this power play here with a face off nice job tying up his opponent oh what a save on the pl a such an athletic save James I mean that's just all about compe and finding a way to get to the pock such an impressive save love looking at this one again James you know that this goenda [Applause] Bay just here in the late stages of this Frame we are all tied up in this one the Panthers win it in the defensive Zone oh it Surs up a little too sweet with that save looking to make something happen along the boards the is up and ready to go picking up momentum across the Zone here on the right side the kings run out of time on the man Advantage both sides back to even strength I really like what this PK unit has done and James in my experience I know what it's like to be out there in a tie game you want to execute Your Role to the best of your ability you know what it's like to go down by one and it's really deflating when it happens on a PK so finding how to do it getting it done just did it slides it diagonally to Reinhardt fires it on neet and not much on that one there's the whistle as the goalie hangs on play set to resume with the face off ready to go Florida's won The Face Off CL save and he made it look simple cat's going to hang on to the puck for a whistle and they take possession here in the offensive zone and time to go on the attack scor there it is the goahead goal and how good does that feel you can see the S the energy is certainly there and now it's about dictating the pace going forward next shift critically important this play could have as easily died James I mean you wouldn't have thought anything about it neither would I but guess what he stayed on it he knew that he still had a chance with a valiant effort and guess what for that effort a goal ensues the Panthers have broken on through and have taken a one goal lead here late in Period number two well timing is everything and this has been a scrappy game James you have to fight for every inch of ice that you get so you know heading into this third period they're going to have to come out on fire and willing to go to battle in the corners and a nice save there as play continues what a fantastic save from a high D of scoring here stop just as time expires in take it along the wall oh he makes another save what a great job of tracking the puck not one but two consecutive saves quick pass across to Anderson scor and we are back to even yeah tie game now James I really like the energy that they showed throughout the game but now it's about channeling the energy they've just created and doing something with it now the key to passing is also knowing the receiver and he has an uncan ability to know exactly who he's passing to in the Wheelhouse where they blade and how they're going to get it off l i mean he's incredible when it comes to distribution Los Angeles has tied things up in the third I really like the way they've played tonight Cheryl yeah they've been really strong on the puck they weren't rewarded early for their efforts but they're finding a way to play loose and this is critical especially in a third period when you're sticking get tight especially when the score is even just got to continue to press on and create some more chances dy's been lighting the L with this point streak playing so confident he knows where he is on the ice and it just seems makes it way towards the net the Puck's going in oh and he takes possession of the puck from off the wing with the centers all locked up there off the draw here's a shot and that goes off course off body K time hit against the wall there a that was a tough one man that was thunderous and it even broke a pain in the glass there's going to be a stoage in play here getting closer to the halfway point of this Frame we got a tie game Los Angeles is taking possession off the draw on their own end knocked off the puck tries to feed it over to mgee oh they Telegraph the pass and he kicks it off fires it and just got a piece of it to keep it out big save by the you're in that high slot area you know that you're going to be closed upon quickly so you got to have a quick release that's the first thing and the second thing is the accuracy if it's quick and it's on you're going to score the Panthers perseverance pays off as we are tied here in the back half of the third perseverance you said it just finding a way to get it done and stick with it that's what they've done and they found themselves here they've got The Equalizer now it's a matter of now attacking and finding a way to get on top put it on net and he makes the easy save Bender covers it up we get a whistle to slow things down a big draw looming here in the offensive zone Florida's got it and they're on the attack takes the shot oh oh you'll win respect for your teammates doing that what a block well the game certainly isn't predictable is it James as it's going back and forth gos from all areas as players shoot from all angles and attack the Zone Quick Pass to copar the Panthers have dangerous as they move along the boards and skill used to the stick to poke the puck [Applause] away and there's the horn overtime solves nothing so we decide in a shootout next are well nothing settled in the overtime frame so we go to the shootout it's hockey's equivalent of High Noon the shootout is set to go and he com up clut here in the shootout this is why they practice it a lot of the time post practice James go one work on this too Shooters he does a great job of anticipating to make that save stops it this might me turning into a save out instead of a shootout yeah I mean this is one one against the Bender and's challenging at the top ofet but most importantly my goodness there was some hot sauce on that shot that's called a snipe in the game James just recognizing that the [Applause] ke set to go here in the back half of the second round and his team makes a save look good to that one yeah the body language everything about him is telling you that he's confident and composed right now reinhardt's the first skater up as he looks to break this deadlock oh he had it on his stick but couldn't finish well sometimes simple is the most effective in these situations and he just gets in too tight and just runs scores and it finds it way back in the and this is why your skilled players are paid the big bucks James you have to be able to embrace the pressure like he does there and he just buries it to keep his team alive for he up first in this next round can he be the one to break this deadline and he stops that attempt I think he just does a great job of making himself as big as possible and took away all the shooting angles [Applause] and makes the save love that he doesn't sit back in his crease but he gets out and challenges and takes away as much of the net as possible scores what a goal well I like that he came in with a little bit of speed on this shootout James and he didn't give anything away until the last minute he has that quick release he was accurate and he buried [Applause] it well if there was ever a time to score one this is it here we go and he says uhuh on that play yeah on the shootout he's confident and composed you don't see him moving around in his crease just makes himself as big as possible looks really efficient we crammed in as much hockey as we could here tonight got the shootout and we finally found ourselves a winner
