LIVE STORM CHASER: Minnesota Tornado Threat

expected today but as you can see right in front of us if you are tuning in we have a monster supercell here in West kind of like West Central Minnesota kind of on the back side of the line right now but it's already packing a punch so um if you're tuning in just now yeah this this is a monster storm we have to go northeast to get back um get in front of it here we see another like last night I doubt it um but you can still see some pretty gnarly storms today um let me get radar pulled up here location update here shortly um yeah we already got monster storm right here in front of us it's about 55,000 ft um as we approach it from the West U we're heading Northeast right now this is a messy line storms at the moment but you can definitely see an uptick and stuff here as we go on today um so we're going to go northeast we're going to get out in front of this line um there is a little bit of rotation in there so um last night was awesome um I wish the cell service was better but I I have my cell booster on today um we are we are rocking and rolling rocking and rolling here already so we're actually on the west side of this um this line of storms right now so um we're going to go get we're going to get East we're going to get right on this stuff now um hopefully it should be it should be a good day maybe we we could see a tornado there is a 5% chance of um 5% chance of 25 Mi of a given point right now so um it's pretty good hopes right now not going to lie but yeah this thing's a look at that it's just a vault it's a freaking beast on the backside I'm currently heading Northeast on MInnesota Highway 23 haven't been in Minnesota in a good bit it seems like so hopefully it uh does how it should but yeah this is a very very angry storm here in West Central Minnesota um you're going to have some of these head up towards the Minneapolis area I mean Minneapolis is under the gun today quite a quite a lot so U we'll see how far this takes us away from home I was going to you know initially head home but I was like oh these storms are actually looking pretty good so um that's why I kind of waited a little bit longer here to actually get going on today's Chase uh regardless um though looks like we're going to have a good time especially with how angry these storms look so I'm glad you guys are here if you are here today um we have a few severe thunderstorm warnings out here at the moment um I won't be surprised if this one ends up getting a severe thundor morning at some point but we have to punch through that um the the storms here at least a little bit as we head to the Northeast I don't know how long we'll be chasing today though yeah this one's 56 th000 ft velocity yeah velocity is kind of mad right now I think you definitely need some more organizing on that front but we'll be patient about about that could go east from rain potentially I don't know if there's I don't think there's any roads so for and if I do end up sneezing on I apologize my allergies are killing excuse me killing me from yesterday after a whole bunch of tornado intercepts um so that's why sound like I'm dying today but I'm not actually dying thank goodness it's could get interesting pretty quick here as we roll in from the from the backside currently routed to Wilmer and then we can head east from there um as we need this should be a pretty potent line as it kind of heads to the Minneapolis area tonight definitely get to end up in Minneapolis which whatever doesn't really matter to me um everything should be up and rolling today though as as normal pretend hopefully you know it's got the sub it's working so I think we're rolling on 5G right now that'll probably change at some point but thank you guys so much for tuning in today uh we are a wind bag but definitely Big Time severe risk right now and it's ramping up rapidly here it's only 224 I think we can't get a tornado today absolutely stuff does have to go right but we could Wisconsin again that it's till 900 p.m. Central Daylight Time so okay so8 miles we have to take oh no we don't go through down we stay on this road specifically no going off of this road yeah storm you're stupid you're a piece of crap worthless the storm's so worthless man I'm telling you I'm kidding but yeah it's worthless finally got uh faster speed limits here so can get um catch out and get in front of the slide it only took a million years for us to do that but we're doing it I can just turn off my directions now I don't need them lmer is a really big city I didn't even even realize how big Homer was What pekos Hank says you have to insult the storm for it to do something right that's what I've heard Peto Hank say a lot of the time or's last YouTube video got to insult the storm for to do something I don't think we insulted the storm yesterday though and it went absolutely nuts so I don't know yeah we got to go around this town um we are currently near Wilmer uh Minnesota we're going to keep heading east um I'm actually targeting the Minneapolis metro area later on tonight potentially it could get really nasty there today I'm not sure though we looking at some very nasty storms though this evening oh yeah I wouldn't twist the paper back at all can't decide what it wants to do e e e e e okay there we go I don't know what happened it just would not connect I didn't have to restart my computer or anything it just wouldn't connect we're good we're good still heading east right now um what high I don't even know what highway this is I haven't even been looking at the the highway numbers but stream is back so it's pretty dang important that's the case as soon as we get out in front of the storms here I'll be able to get you guys a view hopefully it's impressive welcome in currently heading East on I think it's actually is it Highway 8 no it's not Highway 8 once in a lifetime L I mean yeah it would be actually on you get out of my way I got to storm this is I think it a highway a or something radar um radar scope doesn't give me my my highways anymore so we don't get highways any to you know look at we have to slow down a filled up with gas we're ready to go though we're we're we're in for a long day of chasing here anything's possible anything's possible we just got to get through some of these towns get get ahead of this line of storms shouldn't take too long and then we are in business then an absolute incredible business we are cooking it up today once we get out of this of course I think this Main Line further south is going to definitely kind of get itself together here soon I kind of want to keep myself further south today if possible are there some gnarly storms near there I have not been able to look actually hold on let me let me let me go back that direction here for just oh yeah there is what the heck there's a severe storm near her heading her way is just a l of thunderstorm um one inail 60 M hour went heading from my mom's house that's funny that's that's actually quite funny it's nothing much it's just a strong line of thunderstorms you're not going to see tornadoes down there or anything up here is where you're going to see the tornadoes if they happen pretty good back in the rain yeah she's stuck at work too that would make sense yeah we're currently heading east still right now [Music] I yeah main main threats down there is just some damaging winds and maybe some um isolated large hail but up here is where you going see your tornado threat [Music] mainly in theory yeah I like our line of storms that's our new line of storms that's forming further to our South do like that so let's get to um litfield here as we keep going east right now litfield our destination [Music] right and of course it's Minnesota lovely trees telling you there's absolutely lovely trees on here trying to rotate a little bit the one toward flank can I get out of this rain though this rain's actually like stupid annoying so stupid annoying right now should be out of here eventually I would think it's Highway takes us out in front of the storm so I don't know why we' have a problem I want I see um the main goal later tonight is kind of get into the Minneapolis metro area and catch an insane storm that goes through there if it happens because I I think U if we kind of sit maybe on like somewhere like kind of in town like outside of town and we watch a storm roll in that's like really really cool you know and you know a very populated area like that I think it'd be pretty sick to watch you know a cool like shelf cloud or even some crazy lightning that rolls through the Minneapolis metro area tonight so kind of my goal here if we can do that exactly I agree I agree a lot Line's not moving terribly fast right now though thank goodness you um you're going to see a lot of embedded tornadoes today as well that's why you have a 5% tornado risk right now it's not too crazy not too crazy yet definitely got to pick it up later on this afternoon it's only 2:40 p.m. we got like six more hours of streaming to go come on people why can we not go like the actual speed limit today I'm going to be angry very angry at the people who don't go the speed limit cuz I never do out here I swear oh yeah this line of storm is going to be so nasty already tell BL of storms is going to be nasty as it rolls into where I had this uh Mothership supercell back in um July here in this town I had um had a Mothership supercell roll through um just to the south of this town actually I I remember this very vividly where we are at um last time we chased Minnesota um this where we were it got dark had a tornado warning it didn't produce but it had a it was a crazy um crazy storm when we were here uh if you were to Ted in for that you um you were in for a treat that day um we're not going to get the save today I can tell you that but we're definitely going to get some pretty incredible storm today regardless I think and we're just rolling through town because one a my phone fell I dropped my phone no my phone come on I can't be dropping my things today there has been lightning with this thing actually now if we would like to see more of an uptick though haven't seen that quite yet um that it should happen here I don't think we're in the right spot for like though we're kind of facing part of the storm where it's really not doing anything so um again once we get out in front of this thing you you'll definitely be able to tell this like we had a big lightning bolt earlier though on stream so definitely we had a big this um L storms definitely has been producing a good amount of lightning keep her going people keep her going feel like I'm just nagging on people all day here to drive like normal human beings but just because it's raining they're going to freak out huge severe thunderstorm warning for St Cloud war in trail at 60 mph winds holy cow big war my goodness big time Big Time right now we're on the we just keep driving to get front it seems like it's taking a mechanical freaking hour and a half storm is insan early this morning I live in going through storm as scary as this one I don't think it's going to be like terribly SC I don't think this whole Storm's going to be entirely scary but you never know um for for right now it's been uh relatively tame um for the thing still sever warn by the way a why is there a detour why is there our detour coming south as the day goes on yeah I'm just kind of picking off these storms kind of along the line here um they're moving really really quick so stupid detours man oh is it because of a road closure I don't think you get around it can you it's down to dael oh okay that makes sense okay so looks like we can keep going for now at least well we'll we'll turn when we need to according to um detour signs I guess that might that might throw us for a loop this whole line sever warned right now all I want to do is get the Minneapolis it's literally all I want to do right now this whole Line's warn this is a very eerie sky as well pretty darn Eerie if you if I say [Music] it's not a long one okay because my directions hasn't being a very very long detour I mean like add onto your I don't had an extra freaking 20 minutes onto my route it's an interesting view right there b detour can't be that bad that's pretty unfortunate though that kind of throws a wrinkle in some things chasing wise we're literally sitting right on the cusp of all the literal edge of these storms here and now we got the detour in to be impossible to get around we're literally trailing right behind these storms right now just literally right behind and there there there's a good potential we can get in front of them and beat them to Minneapolis and we can watch him roll into Minneapolis so we're we're we I am determined to get to it I I am determined to get to Minneapolis here at least the detour isn't like awful like it's it's a doable detour in sorts but oh I I haven't I haven't chased in Minnesota in I haven't been through this area ever so I don't know what's going to be closed I wish my phone would just tell me wherever I'm going you know like oh this Road's going to be closed you might want to plant ahead oh no no no no why why would I make you plant ahead for a Chase I want to point you guys that way look at that nice little structure back on the back side of that storm actually might be a wall cloud forming out there that's actually kind of kind of nice interesting interesting little feature back there oh there's some lightning too there's a nice little interesting feature back there it's definitely going to be like 55 1.7 miles we turn back south so it's not the worst detour in the world not the worst actually service the service we're going to the e okay so that's our last spot of our detour and hopefully that might be it go back south and then we just go immediately [Music] East so let's try to do that hopefully it's possible but I don't know anymore I just want to meet up with this line you know near the Minneapolis metro area that's all I want to do right now there's really not many other options all these cars where are they running they're not running the safety there's so many cars on this road holy cow okay so if we keep going south yeah we should be Min Appo should be like an hour but Line's not there just every single thing severe for one H CH and 60 mph winds is what it is nothing more than that though oh now my chat stopped loading fun times there we go H don't worry about it Mom I'm not you see it you see it you see theore I I'd figure is there any like shelf cloud to it or anything by chance as I'm I'm trying to catch up to it at this moment that was next should be through this town we can go east all the way to Minneapolis here so um we'll we'll try and do that 1.1 miles we can turn right back on the road so see storing I'm I don't know where you're at but I probably agree with you there's probably some storming happening somewhere I don't know where though we're going to get in front of this L storms we're going to watch it all way rolling roll through Minneapolis here we're trying we're we're trying our hardness here that road work really killed us today like by Clear Water I I still don't know where clear water is I'm out from
