Michigan's facing one of its largest power outages in years let's break it down severe weather hit Michigan hard yesterday bringing extreme heat thunderstorms and even tornado warnings by Tuesday night nearly 143,000 Consumers Energy customers in northern Michigan and Grand Rapids were without power and it didn't stop there over 224,000 DTE Energy customers in southeast Michigan were also affected but there's hope utility companies like Consumers Energy and DTE Energy are working around the clock to restore power DT e energy is even bringing in extra Crews from outside their service areas to speed things up as of this morning over 335,000 customers are still in the dark Oakland County and Wayne County are among the hardest hit with nearly 79,000 and over 66,000 outages respectively stay strong Michigan crews are on it and power will be back soon keep following for updates stay safe out there
