Was Eugenia Cooney's childhood a sign of things to come?

Intro there's this girl on YouTube her named like euga Cooney Eugenia Cooney Eugenia Cooney this is Eugenia Cooney and she's arguably the most controversial YouTuber on the platform since she first went viral in 2013 she's captured the attention of with her unique content style and bubbly personality but believe me beneath this bubbly surface there lies a Darkness from her struggle with an apparent Ed do I eat breakfast her tumultous personal relationship give that stupid thing to the Relentless scrutiny of online trolls I don't know why I'm so annoyed with you guys but you guys are so annoying I've decided to explore it all in a series of YouTube videos starting with today's video about her childhood and school years join me as I try and untangle this web of controversy and we ultimately seek to understand why Eugenia is the way she is my name is Jared I named my channel tall soldier because I'm tall and I was in the Army the reason I've chosen to cover this topic is to educate and to spread awareness EDS are very prevalent with up to one in 10 people having suffered with one at some point I myself am actually included in that number I suffered with Bia when I was a vibrant and bustling and home to millions of people Jurassic Park is on the big screen and Whitney Houston is on the radio it was here when eia's parents Deborah and Kev first met each other and have now started dating Deb was originally from Boston and Kevin worked in finance which he still does to this day each it mes a billion and half dollar they were apparently part of the same friend group and eugia described it like this well actually no I think they were like kind of in like the same friend group and eventually like they kind of started just kind of like seeing each other and you know hanging out and I guess they just ended up like really connecting both of eugenia's parents were aged around 35 when she was conceived now we know when eug Junia was born I was born on July 27th 1994 on on a Wednesday we also know her birth was difficult I was a C-section so yeah my mom had some trouble getting me out like you know she had some trouble pushing me out so then I had to end up getting cut up in her stomach and now I'm out of it so yeah I was a C-section at first eugia was given the name Colleen but 2 weeks later her parents changed their mind my full name is Eugenia Sullivan Cooney actually when I was born my name was colen Cooney but my parents decided I didn't really like it according to Wikipedia Eugene's full name is Eugenia Sullivan Cooney according to a couple of Records I found Sullivan is actually her mother's maiden name in the past Eugenia has discussed her Heritage I'm mostly Irish and Italian descent also a little bit English and a little bit French Early childhood despite being born in Boston she was pretty much raised from birth in Greenwich Connecticut now Greenwich Connecticut by all accounts is an extremely affluent area a very rich area Investment Company answered all these questions stars and there's a challenge in it so make no mistake that Eugenia was born into a life of wealth and privilege by eugenia's own Reckoning she was a difficult baby I was put into a crib I hated the crib so my mom kept me in a car seat which she called a bucket I never slept much I don't know if it's accurate to say that eugenia's father Kevin was but he was in New York working the majority of the time eugenia's grandmother Jean would come down and help as eugia put it and basically help raise her as a child Eugenia developed an obsession with brat stall at school my teachers told my mom that I was too obsessed with Bratz dolls they suggested I take writing lessons but my mom bought me more Bratz dolls instead so what stood out in these early years and was anything a sign of things to come firstly there's a documented relationship between difficult temperament as a baby and poor mental health as an adult I'm just going to end stream like literally I'm done there were numerous studies that I could find that documented this relationship secondly since Eugene's parents were both aged around 35 when she was born Advanced maternal age has also been linked to poor mental health as an adult these two things may play a part in why she went on to develop an ed right so get I also think it's interesting that eugenia's school had expressed concern about these Bratz dolls and her mother Deb was defiant in the face of helpful authoritative advice as you'll come to find out Deb's thinking she knows best is something that pops up more than once my mom's not concerned about my weight no that was their question I've known her my whole life I know her blood work and her doctor's appointments and everything check out good I'm not concerned there's your answer Middle school Eugenia went to middle school in a small town outside of Boston she's never really publicly stated which middle school she attended and I didn't really try and find out either by her own account her Middle School experience was not a good one the school I went to though was just really not the best I just really did not have the best experience there like at all really experience Relentless bullying by her peers who called her ugly and much worse people would bully me over a lot of different things things people would not be very nice to me and I don't really know why a few people online have stated they went to school with Eugenia and they corroborate her claims hey eugia we went to middle school together outside of Boston I'm sure you know the one we were not nice to you at all I went to middle school with her she told the truth about the severe bullying she experienced I blame the teachers principal and her mom for doing nothing when she was horribly bullied and everyone knew Eugenia had really begun to develop her Unique Style at this point and I guess it didn't not sit well with these bullies the teachers principal and her own mom didn't really step in like they should have she was often left to deal with these confrontations on her own also I never really would like to like stick up for myself very much or really do anything about it because I'm kind of someone who never wants to be mean back eventually things got bad enough that eugia switched to home school I don't know I went through like a ton of bullying like that year and pretty much in almost every year of school I was in so at that point yeah I just kind of started homeschooling she attended Connections Academy from 2009 until her graduation in 2012 did you graduate from Connections Academy your friend is going to the online school and she likes it better than regular school yes that's actually the school I went to too that's awesome Connections Academy is pretty much like homeschooling but you interact with the teachers and the students online she says herself that she wouldn't have been able to become an online personality if she was still under the scrutiny of these bullies that's kind of also how I started like doing YouTube and doing all that like from being homeschooled cuz I wasn't like as afraid to like put myself out Modeling there now eia's Family seems to be pretty big on taking holidays they followed the Jon Brothers around the country they saw Miley Cyrus they went to Disney World they went to more Disney World so I'm in Disney World right now the coonies would also often holiday in New York one of their favorite destinations I should also clarify at this point that it was normal place for the coonies to stay in hotels for extended periods and I mean weeks or perhaps even months at $700 a night hotels so when I say they holidayed in New York it pretty much means they lived [Music] there because she was spending a lot of time in New York she decided to get into modeling a few of these agents told her that she was too short but it was a hairdresser that ultimately introduced her to an agent that would ultimately sign her she participated in a lot of photo shoots and has a lot of photos to show for it she describes the experience with this female agent she had as sketchy for a few different reasons that was like a modeling agent and um honestly things just kind of got a little weird with her firstly this agent tried to get her to cease her early online activities like YouTube and YouNow which of course Eugenia was very reluctant to do starting to make like YouTube videos and I was streaming you know at the time and stuff like that and she was like weird about it like she literally wanted me to like be like not on Google secondly this agent would schedule photo shoots for Eugenia with photographers that were also sketchy she would like set me up with like some kind of strange photographers I suppose the intention was to send these photos out and get paid real actual work but things never got that far at some point during her time in New York Virginia had her first kiss eugia has described This Kiss herself publicly at least three times and this is one of them my first kiss was like in a hotel it was by a pool it was like with two guys and I didn't want it to happen as you can see the kiss was awkward and the earlier than I did but my first kiss was actually when I was 16 it was actually the most awkward kiss in the world I think her first kiss experience demonstrates that she has a difficult time dealing with confrontation I don't know I'll kind of try to like back away but I'm very like I don't know like I don't want to be like get away from me a few other things in these school years stood out to me as very strange and possibly a sign of things to come firstly eugia described one of her Middle School teachers as being creepy and inappropriate I used to have a teacher who I think was a pet and she would always hug me like really sexually and she had like babies all around her office and it would really creep me out and it just happens that a guidance counselor that she had was also very strange and made her uncomfortable I also had a guidance counselor tell tell me he wants to be a father to me so weird and creepy in an environment which is already being bullied these experiences just add to the trauma it makes me kind of angry really it seems like the school system really failed Eugenia eugia says that as a teenager she was also regularly asked out by middle-aged and old men I have had middle-aged and elderly men ask me out and I always say no cuz it's really really creepy this raises a lot of questions I mean how are these men getting the opportunity to do this is she running around unsupervised as a teenager is it the school is it her parents I couldn't find much detail to know for sure but it's certainly very strange also a lot of other creators described this dream that she had about a dog that was trying to assault her I had a dream once that a dog was trying to me he kept like running back and forth trying to get in my private area so I kind of kept like jumping up trying to like avoid him getting in there and it was really really weird they say that a dream like that is a Hallmark of trauma but I'm really not sure what to think about that I also noticed that in her Draw My Life video she made this [Music] joke to me it's a little strange that her mind went there really a lot of strange things happened in these school years and the scariest part is this is just what she's let slip in videos I mean what happened that we don't know about are going back to school soon does that mean it's just the tip of the iceberg I mean no wonder she still struggles with her mental health to this day so that is it for the first episode of this series the next video is going to cover the
