Start of Ride we have Jasmine here start of day two how are you feeling good you ready for 80 mil today I am yes okay so she looks really strong she's riding and we're heading onwards towards Lindon it started day two with the course being 82 miles with 2500 ft it is both not as long and shorter in elevation and starting out uh leaving here in Bellingham as we're heading into Lyon it is nice and flat so our group coming working together along with the Tailwinds that we're still having is sort of a uh match made in heaven as we are just rolling fast and rolling cool and that's really when time flies by the most as uh we left around 7 and then we got right here to the steps of Lyon as the first real Hill here uh right around 8 and then the crowds were definitely very very full as yeah lots of people around and the Lyon stop is fun cuz I think they gave out these yogurt parfait uh but yeah we're going to stop around here make sure we get a good breakfast before heading out to the Border all Lynden right we're here in Lyon what do you have in your hand I have coffee from Dutch Dutch Bakery and how what do you think it's it's amazing nice how do you feel we're about like 20 something miles in really good cuz hanok said I crushed it yesterday it's like that Asian parent or the like really strict teacher that's like good job you're like wow acknowledge so yeah we're going to do well we're going really fast today so far so we'll see what go next props to alen who uh sent me that recommendation for the Dutch Bakery I really love all the comments you leave below so if you have memories of this ride or things that are your favorite in these passing towns just feel free to leave them there as yeah we took a good nice breakfast break as uh we're headed to the border now not far just another 10 miles but uh I figured since we probably going to be waiting there in line right well have our stomachs filled all right Jasmine what do you think of the views right now beautiful get move move move move noon my excitement as I think I just got a tiny bit of response from one of the cows but we made it here to Boundary Road it's always fun cuz right across here you'll see the 50 km sign and you do not want to pass by this ditch it's right Beyond this Canada and uh another cool thing to point out is on the right you'll notice like these Stones markers and that's the actual border uh that's laid out right there in front of us so uh just in a little bit we'll make it there to the port of Alder Grove where uh my friend trong actually set up a bit of a surprise for everybody can I get an Apple you can have an apple come this way yeah I have an apple also absolutely yeah yeah yeah look at him Rock apples tiny apples here have a you buy them at Safeway what else any need tell them uh they're the best apple uh fully ripe miniature apples sweet and crispy on every single bite hey sorry this video is not sponsored by rocket Apple so moving on to the Border uh this is what it looks like it is a special Crossing organized by casky Bicycle Club and with four border guards and less people here than expected due to the Rain the line was moving super fast how Canadian Border do you feel about going back to Canada oh really happy showing off her Canadian passport or going back to the Homeland and we made it into Canada and with 25 mies of a ride done it feels like we just barely started so it's a really great day and everyone's having a great time right now without a single raindrop the weather was nice and cool and Tailwind still in the right direction uh this was probably the best weather you can ask for in the Pacific North West and yeah now we're in the Langley Township where the next thing that we encounter uh is the wall it's this segment here of 10% is grade for a good little bit and it doesn't look steep on camera and I'm with these hard hitters right now but I am desperately trying on my heavy commuter bike and I am getting passed and dropped but yeah this is this is a tough one and uh many people need to stop back in 2018 when I did it there was a huge group of people just walking up uh I sh got share this photo that Jim shared into the Facebook group it shows really great aspect of what this Beast looks like so after we get on this top of this hill let's wait for the others J take you on the wall go climb climb climb all right good work good work go Michael go checking in back with Jasmine she's having a fantastic time taking off her snap on fenders and uh rolling strong it's uh this is when I really regret not bringing my bromton uh I knew this was a calculated choice I need to make but it's amazing how good weather can change the mood of a ride so now we come back together with the group and uh we basically have a part of five uh me and Jasmine Mary right in front of me Michael and Victor and they are working hard to pull me along Michael is sort of uh definitely been the Workhorse of the group but the other two super strong Riders as well as we make keep riding the straight line all the way through getting over to our next rest stop at the North otter elementary school for this second day of RSVP there's only three official stops so you just sort of North Otter Elementary cherish each one and the ride definitely goes by pretty quick and all there the stops look sort of like this pretty full full of people as we yeah going to take a good rest here 30 m in how do you guys feel wo not bad not bad not bad all right really good drafting is great just kidding I'll help okay all right we'll see about that all right let's keep going yeah we'll see with our ABC Squad together we are making a beine towards the Golden Ears Bridge just passing by Batman back over there and this is honestly a bit of the Calm before the storm you'll see what I mean later as things get pretty spicy but uh we make it here underneath the bridge and then I'm given the honor of leading the group up right over it say hi woo this best spiral cycling best spiral cycling best Circle cycling getting dizzy get dizzy and yeah after riding on this really nice spiral you get a steady climb heading over the bridge and then to your right will be the Fraser River it is a really nice one this is where I think it splits off a little bit but yeah growing up in Vancouver and Richmond uh it's definitely one of the more notable uh rivers and bodies of water that we run into but yeah it's just a nice day today we're still overcast right now so not too hot quite yet but that's due to change later as we then head into the area of Pit Meadows and this area is very fast and very interesting cuz there's a lot of turns uh so the wind is constantly changing but this is also where our group just started ping very fast as yeah my GoPro Brad basically runs out soon and I can't use my freehand to use the other one so this whole area just flies by as we go by this whole Pit Meadows past the pit River uh we're just basically flying through and we were going to make it to Port Moody in no time all right so now we're entering Port Moody on these bike Lanes here that we've been using for a while [Music] Port Moody look okay we're at the last rest stop for Moody J how are you doing wonderful I actually feel really good I feel a lot better than I thought I would how do you feel about today versus yesterday surprisingly really good I thought I'd be dead you thought you'd be dead I thought it'd be close to dead okay and how do you feel both the rest rest of the ride alive all right although Han said there's Rolling Hills yes we'll see how you do on those but now our [Laughter] ABC so after that long picnic if you've been enjoying this video so far please remember to roll over that like button and subscribe it goes a long way to motivate me to make more of these ride Vlogs uh to continue on my mission to get as many people on bikes here in the the Puget Sound but that being said we now head on to the Barnett Highway which is basically this big very fast three lane road uh with a bike lane and shoulder sort of thing where you just sort of go along and then near the end here there's going to be a pretty consistent climb as you then go into the residential area so here I am just working along and compared to last year U my prompton uh solo Adventure my knee was sort of completely off at this point my dad was at his limit so uh this year is a total 180 from that uh we're just cruising here and then we make it here to the Francis Union Bikeway and now we're just sort of a straight shot West towards the Vancouver downtown uh where it sort of ends today's ride so at this point we're just vibing the sky has definitely cleared up it is now proper warm I'm sort of overheating a bit in these long sleeves a far departure from what the weather was like just a day before and yeah just having a good time uh really just enjoying this part as there is a lot of stop and go through this whole area as it's sort of like equivalent of our own neighborhood Greenways with a lot of M modal filters and a lot of random sort of up and down Hills but yeah we're just taking it all in uh just rolling as a group as uh we really get really close to finishing our epic adventure as a matter of no time you'll see BC Place back there and you are really close as uh we then turn onto the seaside Trail and an area that everyone should try if they ever come out to Vancouver it's sort of like the Burk Gilman much tended towards tourists and people hanging out by false Creek but yeah after a short distance here uh you'll be greeted by the finish line here at David Lamb Park David Lam Park [Applause] right you did it you made it how do you feel I feel really good actually nice what was the biggest highlight of the ride um probably like the like good energy from the group like the ABC group riding with bests side cycling seeing him hand out stickers oh and my parents surpris visited me on the second rest stop on the second day so just really good vibes everywhere yeah what what do you want people looking into this ride to know about the ride it's actually a lot of fun like a lot of fun and I think like typically I wouldn't be able to do it on my own but it's just because like there's so many people here so much support that it just feels really good last question will you do it again next year yeah maybe so yeah comment below congrats Jasmine I had a fantastic weekend and now it's time for the party so hope you enjoyed the video and I'll see you all in the next one
