your thoughts um my thoughts tough match um really happy that I was able to to finish in two sets yeah really tough battle really nice atmosphere I didn't play these matches uh for a bit so um just just really happy with with the win today okay congratulations once again thank you uh questions if we can keep them the one and I'll get to as many people as I can because again we have limited time re hi Carolina National congrats it seemed that you were very clutch and like when you needed to do something you you did it so even like she had the first break point you save it then you break I'm just wondering how easily does that come back to you when you've had gaps and injuries and things like that and and how much weight do you put on your ability to do that um I just Tred to not even get to those points honestly but [Music] um yeah I mean it's for sure more complicated for me than it was before I would say it's it's the matches that the Rhythm and then all of that to go through these matches and go through these um how do you say it through these balls you know like if you if I already played 20 matches and had this break break points down you you have you have different um confidence in it that I have now but I was just trying to be fully focused and and do uh all I could in those moments and and um yeah today today it worked pretty pretty good and it it will help me for for next matches for sure great conat Carina thank you um in terms of your confidence you said the other day that you know you kind of don't really know physically kind of and game-wise what shows up on any given day so when you step onto that Court ahead of playing Naomi big circumstance where does the where does your confidence come from in for this match to know that you can beat her uh just again I was just really trying to be focused I know she's really she's amazing player and that I have to bring the aame to to have a chance so I was just trying to be really focused on uh on myself I knew I have to serve good because her serve is uh really good so um I was just trying to be kind of locked in myself and and um and focused out there and uh yeah then then the energy and the big cord and all that it for sure helps me I I I like that so um yeah I guess that's that's it really how would you describe your journey from last year here until today the journey well it's a long journey it's a year um uh I'm for sure in a different position than I was last year um I was uh it's tough to I don't even want to compare myself to last year honestly but but yeah it was kind of bumpy road I had the surgery and I didn't know if I will play or not and and I'm just I'm just really grateful honestly that I'm here that I can play that I'm pain free and and that that I have a chance to play these matches from magazine congrat seems like you are able to read her and you return very well so can you talk a little bit about that your return today uh return well I was actually I here and there I was just guessing guessing the sides and uh and uh I was good at it today with the guest so I didn't really I couldn't really read it her service really uh really good powerful and and um you can't really read it from the toss so um I know if she's going to hit a good angle I'm not going to reach it if I'm just going to stand there so I was trying to change position and again here and there guess as side and and go for it and um yeah worked okay toone hi kolina from the guardian congrats during the match I felt you used your slice both sides really well and more as the match went on I'm curious how much of that was the plan when you went into it and and how much of it was seeing kind of how she reacted to it uh it was a plan uh I wanted to change the Rhythm that was that was one of the things that I uh wanted to wanted to play today and I I tried it I felt like it was working so I just stick to that plan and I was uh yeah trying to play it through a whole match and I think most of the time it worked so I was just keep on going okay two more Char in the back and then re you can have a final question the athletic congrats I just wondered how you found the experience of playing Nami on on this court and also just really how much she adds to the tool when she's uh playing and feels like you know getting closer to her bets um yeah the court and the atmosphere is amazing uh I mean they were mostly cheering for Naomi but that's um natural uh but I just think yeah so many people coming out and and the show and and um everything about that is just uh I'd say that's why I played tennis and what I like about it the atmosphere and the energy so it was really um really good today I'd say and yeah she's an amazing player I mean she wanted here and then I'm really happy to to see her back and uh and I think she is playing really great and and getting uh back to the top shape as she was before so yeah congrats and good luck to her final question in
