pled to be positive about on the Ravens side although here in a loss likely nine receptions a buck 11 one receiving touchdown almost had one more Lamar A Buck 22 on the ground to go with 273 through the air as Jackson becomes the first player in NFL history with 250 yards passing and 100 yds rushing in a season opener but it amounts to a loss in game one against the Chiefs so Lamar your perspective on that uh on on a z touchdown you said it James I thought it was a touchdown I thought it was a touchdown but I still think it's a touchdown are also 12 targets for Isaiah just what what goes into that connection and how did you kind of see him beside from the last play really U man he was just open you I saying um U um I don't want to Get It Wrong by it looked like 32 and 20 was like turning to like pursue him when he realized where the ball was going so I thought I thre it so he can like make a play on it just so I don't thow it like a line job to hit him in the face mask and they turn around and pick the ball so I gave him gave him the ball so he can jump a little bit but I thought he did a great job acrobatic catch and I believe it was two feet in I'm going to stand on that Lamar The Press Box is in the cloud so it's hard to see what's going on there the play before to flowers did that ball get tipped out of your hand or was that just just miss no um actually it was uh I went scr I see Chris Jones was on uh justice Hill Justice Hill was blocking Chris Jones so I was trying to help Justice out and I tried to get out of pocket and I seen baitman like flying across so I'm thinking bit gonna stop and as I'm throwing the ball I see Z flying across I'm like can't I was I wasn't attended for uh uh Z flowers so yeah I was I was I was teed off that cuz I'm like if I would have held on to a little bit more I would have just fighted the for the touchdown you didn't see it until the very end yeah like when I threw the ball I seen him I'm like like I want to say something else but I'm like damn like happens Lamar is did you guys as an offense go in to expect the crack down on illegal formations or was there a confusion with how that was being called oh man we definitely we in practice we we didn't have that you know we had rest that practice you know throughout camp and stuff like that we didn't I feel like we really had a call like that you know so for that to go down at in a game like this first game of the season things happening you called Kansas City you're Crypton night in the past it ain't my CP night it's not my cpon night what's that it's not my CP night okay so does that last Drive give you encouragement or does it leave you frustrated that you were two Ines short the whole game give me encouragement you know cuz I believe our guys were fighting you know unfortunately we had penalties every time we had almost an explosive every time we had an explosive we had a penalty right after that so it was like it's hard to get in the groove you know our offense battled and we battled third and fourth quarter fortunately we don't these ugly games we got to overcome them and I I felt like we did a great job at that you know uh just coming down in the Red Zone 10 yard line wherever it was to the last play conversations with the offensive line as you were trying to adjust these new legal form let's go you know we we know what type of game it'll be you know it's the guys just won the Super Bowl you know is at their house things like that going to happen crowd noise we have to fight through it you guys going long Tempo there in the fourth quarter to the offense really seemed to click there what was what was kind of working there was you guys got into the Rhythm that that hadn't been there or um no um actually we do that a lot through our practice you know just start just go a two minute drill um just go fast you know uh keep our win and just go we we do that sometimes through our practices we work on that Lamar um how much did your your completion at Isaiah the 49 yd touchdown how much that really Infuse you guys with energy change the game a little bit of I'm just glad it was a touchdown and nothing happened we didn't it didn't call it didn't get called back or anything like that cuz he made a spectacular run and catch you know uh he did his thing and I like the the step back at the end you know right before the touchdown that was amazing you know like high school yeah that L that L crazy now his was his was I say his was dope because it's in NFL M was in M was in high school hey hey Lamar you say the Chiefs are not to Crypt Tonite but seeing how last season ended and this season yeah has begun um what does it say about your team and measuring up against the two-time champs yeah we I believe our offense got a lot of we got no additions and we just getting adjusted you know um I don't want to say preseason is the reason cuz it wasn't cuz we battled you know you can see we put points on the board and you just got to do what we got to do to win those games simple talk about the fight the fight you show today for how do you describe kind of that thought around the optimism and the Outlook of this team moving forward yeah um I believe everyone in our our locker room hate losing Point Blank period coaches trainers uh equipment guys cafeteria women and men um and definitely the players you know cuz we out there put it on the line Blood Sweat and Tears and for us to lose to those guys and the way we lost even though I don't want to lose but I I can't be mad at my guys cuz they battle know it's a long season so what do you guys you are constantly evolving what do you focus on evolving to get to the point where you do clean up penalties clean up clean up completions and and things like that you know we go scramble drill we work on that scramble drills complete those catch those we just got to do what we got to do to win those games Lamar uh how frustrated won't call him his Kryptonite but something's got to give when two came out with um with ourselves in pretty good shape um everybody that got ding their a little bit uh finished uh McDuffy hering um Mike Dana and Leo so they all uh were able to return and and play thank uh thank you to the fans they were they were great today as they always are but um what a what a wild environment down there it was uh two heavy weights in a fight right down to the end and when they say it's a game of inches it might be shorter than that so um again uh defensively I I love the way that guys reach down and push themselves through uh the game Justin Reed coming up with nine tackles um between Felix and our 95 he um they were able to cover the fumble some of these guys didn't have a lot of practice reps so they they had to push themselves as they went here so um 95 being one of them um McDuffy again big fourth down stop Leo was all over the place we had him spying on the quarterback and that's a challenge in itself um he's he's really good football player um and moves around quite a little bit Watson again um had eight tackles and a pass break up there uh offensively you know I love when we can uh mention Lyn Dawson um uh what a great player he was and Pat was able to pass him up for the alltime yardage Mark but um that's not taking anything away from Lynn he spectacular football player uh our number four Rashid was um had a big night so no sophomore slump there and then um Pacho I mean this thing goes on and on here Pacho had 45 tough yards that's a physical football team and and he battled uh through that and he ended up with a touchdown there and then Xavier coming out as a rookie and having a touchdown a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown um that that was that was beautiful so and then finally arza our punter had a good night so welcome to Kansas City and he sure did a nice job anyways with that pretty much went through the roster there Andy Andy happy Baltimore game of benches although Lamar city thought it was a touchdown wasn't touchdown his foot was out of bounds right Isaiah likely's got some comments apparently we're going to bring you in a little bit we're waiting to
