hey everyone here's a couple space science updates for Monday August 26th just after midnight tonight Pacific Time SpaceX will launch the Polaris Dawn Mission from launch complex 39a at Kennedy Space Center the four private astronauts will have several Mission goals but perhaps the most widely publicized is the first commercial space walk where the astronauts will test out spacex's new space suits the mission is a project of billionaire Jared isaacman who will also be one of the astronauts the pilot will be retired USAF Lieutenant Colonel Scott potite and the first two SpaceX employees in space Sarah Gillis and Anna man in addition to the Space Walk on the third day of the mission the Dragon capsule will reach a maximum altitude of, 1400 km allowing the crew to perform various experiment in the lower parts of Earth's radiation belts this is the first of three missions planned by ISAC for the polara series and in addition to pushing private human space light the flights will be fundraising for St Jude's Children's Research Hospital if one launch isn't enough for you you can also catch a falcon 9 with a payload of sty links go from vandenbberg in California tonight at 11:33 p.m. Pacific that's our 60 seconds I'll see you back here tomorrow
