his name and number on the back of their jerseys and also gave him an emotional tribute but nobody did something more iconic than one of Jose's teammates and best friends D Gordon as the heartbreaking game began he was first up to bat since the tragedy and knowing this was one of the biggest moments of his life he stepped up to bat pretending he was Jose by standing at the other side of the plate to represent where Jose would have hit from but after representing his boy he switched back to his normal batting stance to guarantee do something even more [Music] special right it's it's gone D has
