Ryan uh not the performance the team was looking for overall you guys got the two goals yourself your thoughts on the game and and some positives you guys can take from it yeah it definitely wasn't the performance we were looking for um it was flat and we didn't um play with any intensity which is the frustrating part and we feel like um you know we feel like we on our day we could have beaten them so it's frustrating to Come Away with nothing um and yeah I don't think there's too many positives we can take from that it was a pretty per performance overall and we'll uh have to try and put it behind us was it the long travel day was it having that International break why was the performance not where the team needed it to be uh it's it's hard to say I mean you could look at a few different things I'm not going to blame the the travel or the the tank and anything like that just on the pitch um we we didn't get close enough to them and uh you know there's just there's a lot of things we can do better and we're going to have to work hard this week to to put things right offensively you're you're on fire uh you're scoring tons of goals you're picking up assists what's been the key for you to continue your hot streak to carry the offensive load right now for the team um I don't really know just trying to get in the in the right positions at the right time and um you know just trying to do do what I can to to try and help the team but um I mean I've said this before I would trade any goals I score for for three points so um while it's nice to score you know I'd much rather have no no goals and three points can you take us through those two goals because you seem to catch the goalie sleeping on both of the goals yeah I've not seen him again but the the first one uh I'm guessing he's been surprised that I've managed to to sneak it in at the at the first post and then the the second one it had a the ball had to be a bit of movement on it but it was kind of straight down the middle as well so I was a bit surprised he never got a hand to it or anything so um yeah well we'll take there weren't you know um goals that you score every week but uh we take them and move on last one for me we at the 17 game Mark of the Season halfway through um what do you think as a captain as leader on the team the team can kind of improve on or enhance going forward to get more consistent results each win we can out yeah I think consistent performances is what is what we need um some weeks we're we're looking like a really good team other weeks we're looking um way off the level so it's just being trying to be you know the the best version of oursel every week and not just show it once every two or 3 weeks we need to uh make sure we're at it from from the start in every game and play with play with a high intensity every match and you exchanged jerseys with Ian tell us about that no obviously he he played at dundy United in Scotland where I um where I grew up so um obviously we we know who each other are and it was nice to to chat to them at the end of the game and you just swap jerseys thank you har we go to fipe next please he uh commiserations on on the loss there I wanted to ask you a bit about what you saw from on the pitch went wrong in terms of the goals you can seeed cuz some of them well a little lucky with the deflections were not the kind of goals that we typically see this side concede yeah obviously we we didn't like the goals we gave up um what was the first one again you scored the first one no buck the SC yeah as just fell to the guy at the edge of the box and um you know that one's on me I the POS the way we're playing today in the position I was supposed to be in I should have been in front of them um so that one's you know frustrating for me and then the second one we get we get cut open too easily um and the third one yeah they get a little bit of a break you know Hitting off a saba and just looping over Yohi but um you know we can't give up the game in the first half the way we did um we made it really really hard for us you know we we did get back into the game at 1-1 and then to give up those two goals before the end of the first half you know it made they gave us a mountain to climb second half and well I thought we we started the second half better uh we you know we we lost control of it again and then the last 10 you know we were just kind of looking for anything to to try and get us back into the game but yeah FR straighten goals to give up and um plenty that we can do better and looking towards the future from this you have a obviously another Cascadia cup Derby against Portland next weekend what are some things that you're looking to to improve upon as a team and training ahead of that important match in Portland yeah there a going from tonight there's a lot we can we can do to improve on uh being more aggressive uh I actually think you know first half we done some we've done some things pretty well with the ball we moved it quite all right we got into their final third a few times but um I would say the the biggest improvements we need there are without the ball um we were too easy to play against tonight and if if we're like that you know against Portland with guys like Evander and Moreno and uh Rodriguez you know will be in trouble cuz well they've got some some decent players tonight um like Gil destroyed us tonight um I think he was the best player on the park by mile um and you know when we allow players like that the amount of space that that we gave them they'll they'll really punish us and um he just controlled the game tonight so we're going to have to work hard and training to make sure that the the front guys for Portland don't don't do the same and last one for me obviously you have special connection with Brian and we haven't been able to see too much of that this season Brian has been a little bit snake bitten in front of goal the last few weeks what have you seen from him in the last couple of weeks and training trying to work hard to be able to beat this streak uh or this drought and what do you think that might be plaguing him a little bit in front of net in the games it's definitely not a lack of hard work that he's he's not scoring um every day you know he's he's by himself after training putting in extra work on on finishing in that way we just need to do a better job of getting them the ball in those areas um I can't think of many opportunities that that we've given them in the last uh the last few games and you know me especially I'm I'm playing there behind them to to get him chances to get him goals and I've not been doing that so um it doesn't it doesn't fall on him it falls on um you know mainly me and and the other boys behind them getting uh getting them in a good positions all right thank you so much cheers thank you phip Ryan all for okay cheers mate
