and then they've held on to them without any sort of problem but coming to vas just it just makes me uncomfortable because we're always doing this we always get the same feeling with with Bas and or just Brio in general we always seem to struggle I remember our first show two years ago when it was the opening game and you were like calm down everybody it's a draw but they won the title the last time they drew against Rio to start the season but I don't know man this is going to be tough Alex your thoughts on uh the lineup uh flick fairly conservative in the sense that he's not moving things all that much with the limited options he's got at the moment yeah I mean I don't think he has a reason to either way you know we've seen the last few matches and it's gone well it's gone on our favor you know we've been able to hang on to those leads and again limited options on that you're not going to put Daniel more potentially right in you know the thck of it especially against AR that again you know spenc has has summed it up quite well for some reason we've struggled against them especially in the last couple Seasons um I think it's it's working why change it um obviously fake is coming he's been trusted in both games uh that we've played so far in La Liga and today gets his first starting note yeah definitely I think you know flick was the main thing that a lot of people had you know kind of questions about coming from shavei to fake was how he's going to use young players because obviously shavei you know gave a lot of opportunities to what we've seen to Gabi um you know to go see so how flick has been handling these young players I think has been exceptional so far um you know his amander that's come outside of you know the Barcelona system sort of say um but he's trusting these young players you know we're seeing ber we're seeing Martin you know the preseason has done them really really well to get them into you know used to it and essentially new manager has come in every single player has had to adapt that includes the veterans the younger players and the younger players have actually you know I felt that they've stepped up quite a lot and they've proved themselves to be able to you know be in competition with the veteran players that you know any other manager would maybe rely on a bit more um but I think these changes are are doing really really well especially when you're playing against a team that you've struggled with in the past you know inserting these new actions especially you know the young players give that extra energy you know we we've Lov that against you know gar has given us that in the past few seasons that difference kind of the energy the willingness and the motivation seen it with many different players with J Martin I just wanted to say one thing what we knew of Hans flick before he was appointed uh officially barel manager was that he it had been said and he has confirmed this that he had studied barcel a lot in over the past uh season and he'd watched a lot of Barca atletic well Gerard Martin was the player who played the most minutes under Rafa market last season for Barca atletic therefore maybe that's one of the reasons why hansy flick is trusting him the other name I want talk about uh Spence is Mark Bernal he started all three games so far and I don't think we would have guessed that yeah I mean it's easy to take young players like lamin yamal and kuari who played out of their minds last year and go yeah we're going to stick them again as the youngsters into the lineup we sort of knew that was coming it's a lot harder to pick the right players to rely on in that sense when they haven't had as much experience and I'm I'm still surprised because I thought it was going to be cas against Athletic clbe and and so then I thought okay maybe he's going with Bernal against an athletic clube attack that needs to be tamed a little bit so that he can go with the slightly more attack friendly casad against Rio when they need to break him down but that's not the case he's gone with beral both times and that speaks to what he thinks of beral I thought he did have a really good game against Athletic clubbe he he he's showing signs that he can do a lot of things right and it's so important to understand that he's going to make mistakes along the way because he's young definitely same can be said about Gerard Martin but um I I like the idea that he's getting his opportunity and this is a game where he'll be required to do something creative to break down a very stubborn defense most definitely it's going to be a tough one I want to vote a key player of the uh game key player of barca's lineup today we're going to give three options uh and there they are on your screens right now who will the key player be tonight Robert leowski who's gotten off to a great uh start py returning from that injury that he's stained in the euros and he's been fantastic as well played the full 90 minutes uh the other day against atletic club and we're going to go test taken as well B just because Barca have not yet achieved that clean sheet although they have not been all that they've not been worried by their opponents they've uh they've managed to keep Valencia and atletic Club fairly at Bay in both games yeah definitely I do agree with that it has been nice to not concede a lot we have conceded which is you know you always want that clean sheet but you know we've been able to score a lot le dusar as we said has gotten off to a great start um I think you know I'm going to give it to teren in this match um I think R are going to be motivated to to attack especially you know when we have that the the past few seasons hanging above our head and they know as well so they're going to come out with confidence I think ter Teran could be a key player I do have to say rafin I think is going to be quite key in that Midfield as well for the attack uh well tan is playing a team that didn't put a shot on target against kfe the last time out although to be fair Rio didn't have a shot on target but they didn't concede one either against kfe first La Liga game in over 20 years that there wasn't a single shot on target that was right after our game against atletic Club so for that reason I'm going to go with levandowski because we've seen how locked in he is and the connections he's making to put shots on target like the one that was saved by Padia on Saturday are crystally perfect right now yeah hopefully he can continue that that's why he's the key player because if he keeps that form Baro should get a goal tonight I want to talk more about levandowski later on my vote goes to pedy uh just because it this is one of the smallest stadiums in in Europe tight spaces and his creativity his ability to get out of those situations in which he's swarmed by three Defenders will be key tonight his ability to create that magic that final pass py uh how fantastic has he been signing potentially another player uh Memphis depay is without a team we'll see and and they're they're talking about it as a possibility but this team that's here right now needs somebody to score goals and they don't quite have that yet so Bara should be looking constantly to attack and not be too worried about the Counterattack Alex what what are the keys what de barasa need to do well today to beat the right team I think I'm completely on of spense I think you know I think defensively were going to be locked in you know Cameo is a good it's a big threat for them but I think that GFA game kind of showed that at the same time there are ways to nor their attack quite easily sort of say um but if we have the attack you know if we score three goals and they W I'm just going to leave that there um we'll be fine I think it is true that we do need to focus on our attack because I think we do need to keep up that Rhythm a bit more than our defensive rhythm in this game particularly um but lamin and and Gund but like we're not using our left side we're not using our middle like bed's been really quiet Rafa has been really quiet which has been shocking to me because we said it from the beginning you know bed in those small spaces Rafa's had really good matches the last two matches hasn't gotten a lot of you know touches on the ball we're just going directly through the outside I think maybe if we keep possession open up more space of course it's harder in a tight Compact and credit to to rakano in making it an uncomfortable game for Rafa for pedri for Mar Bernal in those middle positions because every time that they receive the ball especially with their with their backs to the Danny cardas they've got a uh a player jumping onto them not allowing them to turn quickly yeah but that speaks to the point that as Mark was saying at the beginning of this game this pitch this is like if we look at this right here this is same sign this is about what we're looking at in terms of what they're playing on so there's not as much time and space to to be able to do what ped does best or what Rafia can do with that kind of space because it gets so cluttered and so crowded in the middle that's why I think a couple of changes including fine because if fine gets the ball here he can take one touch and shoot the ball here thing is yeah I I was going to say what I want to see a bit more with a crowded and a well organized defense like R have displayed in this first half is in in these areas ra faran B yeah it has to be especially for coming down the wing you know just come into the box and do a cut back it can take a deflection it can anything can happen and commit numbers because if enigo and and kubar are back here let them be the ones to you're already down one nil you're going to have to go for it at this point so if you give up a second one you know it kind of is what it is we don't know yet but are you thinking sub straight at H time uh I I I'm not the manager of this team but I would do that yes I would I would put in fine I would probably still wait on Dano at least for 15 or 20 minutes and I really think ector Fort is made for this type of game possession we were struggling to connect you know more than three passes in the second half we came out you know as you know flick probably chew their ear off with whatever you know he wanted to say d came on was that explosion what we said we needed that explosion that change of pace that you know that excitement that needed we needed a spark and that second half was literally everything that we expected us to do and us to react to the way that R were playing cuz R you know we didn't suffer at all maybe the last 10 minutes we did but at all you know ra wer having that same possession first 15 minutes at a time um you will suffer through some of those minutes but B managed once again to react react well in the second half find players in space changed some players positions we'll talk about described so many times is so small and what Rafia needs when he's in the Midfield is space to operate and he doesn't have that here so it makes sense actually for him to go out on the wing in a game like this whereas if you're playing at a much bigger pitch like at mon for example you you you have him in a much better position in the middle but Dano was making quick decisions in tight spaces and that seemed to be the difference and that seemed to enable pedri as well to be able to do that as well he just opened things up a little bit in the first half it felt like it was all clogged up in the middle really and truthfully basa won't find spaces in there they were looking for Lal and kundai on the right hand side the introduction ofo and a few tactical twists I imagine that the tacticians will be able to talk about better than us uh allowed Bara to just it felt like Danny was receiving the ball on by himself yeah literally we we got to expand the pitch a lot more we saw a few plays there b was able to you know now that you have a on the wing he likes make those runs in whereas laminal likes the ball to feet so B you he got the ball he looked up and he would find those through balls into Rafa Danel Mo would then have all that space that B's leaving behind so it was just you know the the domino effect down the pitch that each change made was just spectacular it was uh it was a complete change of the uh of face of barer in the uh second half it was a team that was struggling in the first half we would we weren't able to put three four five passes together uh there was that one possession that we really praised in the in the first half which ended in a long pass by lamina kund which went out for a goal kick second half uh it all felt fresh uh and I like the energy of this team when they're fighting against the odds in that certain moment Spence yeah the best thing you can do is learn from these early season games and the best thing on top of the best thing you can
