Utah man captures extreme flooding in Havasu Falls area of Arizona

epic flooding is hitting the havu Falls area of Arizona and a uton was there to capture it all yeah tonight he spoke with new specialist Andrew Adams while preparing to evacuate Andrew they described a crazy situation where as many as aund tourists were waiting to be airlifted out by the National Guard just getting to a point of safety was a journey of its own I don't even know how to describe it it didn't even look like the same place there was so much water in an extremely scenic place what were once bushes and trees were just kind of obliterated conditions were suddenly Beyond extreme I mean everything was just covered in water Cory Middleton was on a three- 4-day tour to the havu Falls area when rain triggered flood one of the employees one of the park rangers came by and said yeah you got to you got to move to Higher Ground right now holy cow and we started to look up and I mean there were just there were waterfalls everywhere as the flood waters moved in Middleton pulled his camera out so we got back up uh to where Havasu Falls was and at that point I mean it was just it looked like a chocolate waterfall holy cow retreating with only what he and his group could carry carefully navigating the flood waters Middleton eventually made it to safety at the Havasupai village where they offered a shelter in the in the school Middleton said as many as aund tourists were awaiting a helicopter flight out of the area okay they're doing a head count for the National Guard right now oh down there oh my God as he remained in disbelief how harrowing his journey was I'd always wanted to see that I never wanted to be in it well Middleton told us that four helicopters from Tucson and Phoenix were involved in those evacuation efforts still a situation that's definitely evolving down there in Arizona back to you that video is amazing isn't it and just to see how quickly that happen you just it's hard to wrap your head around it all right Andrew thank you
