Confessions of a University of Nevada, LV Professor

hello so I just wanted to share my opinions about the application I made to the University of Nevada at Las Vegas the reason actually I applied that was the last place I think I I well one the anet my wife wrote down two places that were okay to move to one was Stony Brook so I primarily applied for places around there and I would prefer to move there because it's the suburbs we would prefer to be in around the suburbs in that nice Suburban energy but the other place that was okay I believe because of that show Deadly possessions was Nevada so I looked up Nevada on mathjobs.org there was a opening University of Nevada at Las Vegas I asked her she said was okay to apply I thought honestly I thought it was just like a backup you know kind of a last resort type of thing um a backup job for now since my contract was not renewed at NYIT and I was offered the job there and then it sort of happened quickly there but I I I you know to be honest I I'm a little bit scared of that sort of that huge City metropolitan energy is a somewhat somewhat disturbing for me so yeah I would prefer to be in a a quieter place like like sterning brook or the suburbs
