All right, Tom now first off first off congratulations to Boston College. You did a good job tonight, obviously came in and did the things they needed to do to win the game. You know, for us, you know, I just, you know, sick to how this how the season started obviously tonight, you know, I failed in preparing the team to be able to go out and respond tonight and, you know, in just the things that that were necessary for us, the things we talked about, things we emphasized, you know, obviously, you know, in all phases, you know, we're not able to, to execute, you know, you know, obviously didn't put them in a, in a position to, to showcase what I believe that this football team is, and it's extremely disappointing. And, you know, I apologize to our to our fans. I apologize to everybody associated with the program. I mean, that was, you know, extremely disappointing that, we're not better. And, you know, obviously we couldn't get, a lot of factors go into it. You know, like I said, all phases, you know, we just weren't good. I mean, you know, they had possession, you know, the entire, you know, first quarter, you know, we went three and out. I think our first three drives offensively, they they capitalized on third downs. You know, our third down, you know, execution was was extremely poo, you know, they ran the ball. We, we, we didn't. And, you know, we missed, you know, had some missed opportunities, had some, some, some chances in the game to be able to, to be able to take a step. And we made, you know, mistakes that, that were, you know, obviously extremely costly. And you know, they capitalized, they capitalized on it. But, you know, it comes down to me, it comes down to, to, you know, me being able to prepare this team to go out there and play to the capabilities that, that that I believe that they have. And, you got a football team that's, that's hurting, and you got a football team that, you know. You know, nobody, nobody envisions being, you know, ever being where we are, you know, and having, you know, having disappointment, having failure, you know, but it's, you know, I do believe in what this team can do, and I believe in what this team can accomplish, you know, I've got to get bette. I've got to prepare them better, and I've got. And obviously, we've got to do everything in our power to be able to apply the things that we're emphasizing throughout the course of the week, you know, through the course of the game. And, you know, we need leaders to, to rise up, we need to continue to, to push, you know, in all areas of what we're doing. And we got to do it together. And, you know, there's going to be, you know, I know there's going to be plenty of negativity around this program. I understand that when you perform the way we, you know, way we just did, you know, that's that's all part of it. But for a football team, you know, you got to stay together and you got to make sure that you're there for each other. You know, we've been knocked down, you know, and we know how to get up, but we've got to go do that. And, you know, it's one thing to talk about it. It's another thing to put it into action and then to be able to perform in the moment, you know, throughout the course of the game, but I do believe in this team and I believe in what we can do. And I believe and how we can respond. But, you know, obviously there's a lot of work to be done because that that does not look like Florida State football with what we just did. And once again, it's all on me. First question will be IRA, over on your right. You know, going back to the spring and really all season, it seemed like you guys felt like this was a team that would really be able to run the football, and then you haven't really run it well. And then tonight you kind of had to abandon it. What do you think's going wrong there, you know, obviously tonight, you know, we went into it a little, bit more, you know, run, pass trying to trying to get ourselves in, in, in right, in the right numbers and miss some opportunities there in the passing game. We got to, you know, win win one on ones obviously, you know a bunch of different factors kind of kind of tie into that. But when it when it comes to the run game, there's, you know, it takes everybody and you know, we've got to we've got to you know, be able to create space. We've got to be able to, to be on track. We got to make sure that we're taking advantage of, you know, all positions, you know, doing their part, you kno, if people are stacking the box, people are squeezing the box. You know, we've got to be able to take advantage of it out on the perimeter. You know, had a plan to try to be able to, you know, take what they were giving us and, you know, obviously we did not, you know, did not do a good enough job and put our guys in a position to, to achieve success in that regard. And, you know, there's some there's some things that, you know, we just got to be better in our execution. But you know, we've got to we've got to find ways to be able to, you know, have success on the ground and, you know, for two games, you know, we definitely have not been able to achieve that to the level that you know, I was expecting. And, you know, once again, that's, that's I've got to put guys in a better position. And what we're doing you know there offensively in the run game, to, to be able to, to create to create angles, create space, to let our guys, you know, have a chance to, to be able to sustain and excel there on the ground. We'll stay on that road for Jordan. Coach, with the passing game struggling early on, did you ever consider making a quarterback change and coming out of a bye? Will you have some sort of open competition or are you going to stick with D.J. from here on out? No, I mean, you know, obviously we were struggling offensively. And there's, you know, there's a lot of reasons, you know, for that. You know, obviously everything everything that we're doing, you know, we got to push and get better. And you know that's what we're going to we're going to focus on doing we're going to focus on on pushing to get better. And we're going to we're going to put our guys in the best position to go achieve success. And you know, that's what we're going to focus on. Thanks for being in the front row. Mike I know this is a new season, but since what happened in the playoffs, you guys really struggled. How much do you feel like what happened last season has maybe rubbed off and or affected this team? No, I mean, it's you know, obviously this this team is this team. And you know, we you know, I know these guys work hard in the off season, you know, you you push you try to prepare, you know, for, to go out there and to try to push put your best foot forward to play the best football that you can play. And unfortunately, we haven't done that. And you know, I think that when, when that occurs, you know, obviously, you know, you know, we have high expectations here. I mean and there's always going to be and there needs to be and you know, but when things don't go how you want them to go, you know, we had a disappointing outcome in our first game. And, you know, obviously, you know, today that it was you know, all the things that can go wrong basically did and you know, that's I don't know if that's a carryover from, from any, you know, part of it other than, you know, starting to press trying starting to try to do you know too much trying to, you know, where you, you know, you want it so bad, but, you know, you there's times where you can get to where you almost abandon, you know, the training that you've had because you know, you get you just start pressing and trying to do almost too much. And, you know, I think that's that's something that, you know, as a football team, we've got to be able to, you know, collect ourselves. We've got to go and continue to evaluate what, what is best. And then, you know, we've got to we've got to build upon the things that we can do right now and go and get better from them. It's you know, I like I said, I believe in the team, I believe in these in these guys, and I do believe in what they can accomplish. But, you know, obviously we're not putting that on display right now and definitely did not do that do that tonight, you know, I wholeheartedly believe that we would come out and, and play better and but there was there were, there were definitely, you know, enough mistakes that, you know, that we made that kept us from that, you know, there in that, in the first half, and then obviously, I thought there were some things that in the second half where we started to press and, you know, just, you know, obviously did not, did not play very well. Accountability is always welcome in this household. But there are no right answers after a loss like that. AP preseason top ten teams to start zero and two against unranked teams. This the first instance since Michigan. Some 14. That's bad math. That's bad math. By me. I'll raise my hand on that one. Wasn't 14 years ago. It's longer than that. I think that's never been my strong suit. I was promised there would be none nonetheless. Oh seven Michigan. That was that App State game, followed by an Oregon loss. They won eight straight from there. So there is hope out in front of these Noles. Michigan finishing
