problem with chapel rone and what she did um I'm trolling but it's also the truth ah and so before I get started most of you already know that I am revamping my Chrissy online website I am wiping the these award shows while you know it's still fresh on my brain I literally just got done watching it and so I was like hm I have some thoughts and so I want to talk about them and if you didn't see the show you can definitely just you know look at the clips here on YouTube I wouldn't say it's worth sitting the whole 2 hours and watching the entire show um you know just watch the clips girl it wasn't that good I just want to share my thoughts but um so Megan was Performance reviews this year's host of the VMAs Megan the stallion you know I'm happy for Megan Megan is everywhere you know she's doing her thing she's working you know Megan is booked and busy so you can't be mad at that right yeah her body looks amazing and I thought she had a ton of energy as a host I really love her personality she looked great as you usual body looked good um y'all know I'm not the biggest fan of Megan's music I'm not the biggest fan of her rapping um but I do think she brings a lot of energy to the stage right her performance was pretty good um I like that she's DBL and dabbling into other genres and working with International artists I hope she keeps that up it kind of goes in line to what we uh with what we talked about in the last live stream about black women being diverse and versatile and you know just moving around being fluid and working with different people mingling with different people so I like to see that she's doing that you know I know she's she's worked with some rock artists now she's working with some of the the artists in Japan so you know she's all over the place so um or is it Korean Korean or Japanese one or the other she's working with some of the Asians and uh she's doing good she's doing good so very very happy for her I hope she keeps it up um and yeah I just think she looks phenomenal I mean look at her she looks great so yeah very happy for Megan um and I'm just going in order of appearance here okay I'm just looking at my notes that I jotted down order of appearance so this is Eminem um I don't have much to say about his performance Eminem's performance it wasn't bad but it didn't blow me away now what I like about Eminem what I've always liked about him is how um vulnerable I guess you could say he is in his music you know like I like how whatever song he was performing he apologized to his daughter for not being the best father I thought that was nice I thought that was nice yeah he y'all say he looks tired no he's aging honey I don't know how old he is but he's getting up there how y'all expect him to look he been out for a minute y'all are funny y say he looks a mess I mean memem got to be in his pushing 50 how old is he he got to be around that area okay yeah 52 51 yeah so he's getting up there he's getting up there yeah so um that's pretty much all I have to say I don't have really too much to say about his performance I mean it was Eminem it's just typical Eminem right um who is next Sabrina Carpenter so you know Sabrina is getting a lot of Buzz right now and you know her performance was just okay to me I do like when she kissed the alien though cuz I'm weird like that I like this part I was like oh that's fun you know she's kissing the alien I know some people may have thought this part was corny but I thought it was funny it was funny and to me I liked it because I don't know she just gives boring to me a little bit when you just kind of look at her appearance so um you know I just feel like the alien bit was just a nice little surprise it was like okay okay so I like that part and I do like some of her music um um espresso I won't lie that that isn't one of my favorite songs I know that's like everybody's favorite you know I know that's the song I I believe that's her highest charting song but not my favorite but I do like some of her other music but you know she's good she's all right and who is next Katy Perry now I really enjoyed Katy Perry's performance Katy Perry & Doechii I thought this was the best performance of the night I feel like Katie stole the show the acrobatic choreography just the fire the stage effects literally flying and hovering above the stage almost the entire performance just chef's kiss it was just great okay and she was very graceful while being in the air cuz you know how some people you know they try to do these stunts on stage and they really it's not graceful it looks kind of shaky and it's like oh I hope they don't fall like she was graceful in the air okay athletic honey acrobat she was doing her thing and she to me she just made it look really effortless um and it was nice to hear Dark Horse but ET is one of my favorite pop songs Okay firework is my [ __ ] too so it was very nice to hear those two songs Katie Katie has some Bops I don't know about y'all but I feel like as a girl who loves pop okay I love pop music I feel like Katie has some Bops let's be honest and I think she um she got the Vanguard Award right yeah heavy on the ET that was my [ __ ] and you know I feel like if Kanye was in his right mind they would have brought him out to do his verse on the cuz you know he was on the remix that used to be my [ __ ] okay that used to be my [ __ ] but you know Kanye lost he's just out there so she couldn't bring him out but that would have been good cuz he actually had a good verse yes yes okay so I'm not the only one who is a fan of Katy Perry and you know I like what she said in her speech about how her decad long Success is Not an Accident so she is basically reminding her haters that she is that girl and she deserved to be there so I like that little Flex she did I 100% think she deserves the Vanguard award I thought she deserved it um and I absolutely loved when um DOI came out let me see I I got a picture of DOI in here her and DOI now this part has been getting a little bit of mixed reviews um I will say it was Parts in there where I was like okay it it looks a little um what's the word I don't want to say stiff but it kind of looked like maybe they were getting a little tangled up a little bit and a couple of of spots with in this part of the performance and I was like okay did they not rehearse that part good it just it just looked like maybe some of that could have been cut out or something um but you know it was supposed to give shock value and I think overall it still was good it could have been a little bit better but I still think it was good and I think DOI did a really good job um um and I love the robot dancers like and I I took a picture of or I took a screenshot of that as well the robot girls oh I love this so much they nailed it they nailed the robotic movements the facial expressions I think these were my favorite visuals in the performance and I'm quite sure this was a lot harder than it looked and so this is the part I really really liked do you see these girls upside down like in the floor like that like that is that's good that's good work that's good so um I really love that part and Katie I think her set was like 10 minutes she did this cute little 10minute medley of her songs she did it like a pro she I mean she didn't get too winded she didn't get tired Katie and her dancers were working honey and they were well rehearsed and I appreciated this performance it was just so good definitely definitely the best of the night and DOI you know I'm really excited for DOI like I feel like her name is buzzing you know she's she's getting out there more and she's really teaming up with some some Heavy Hitters her album was good y'all go listen to do doi's album it was so good so I'm excited for her I'm excited to see what she has planned what she's doing next who she collaborates with next uh she's going up and I'm excited for her because this is big somebody like DOI is new as DOI performing with Katie Perry who's been in the game for a decade that that's good that's good so yeah she's on the come up and I'm very happy for her I'm excited for her yeah Katherine Phillips says DOI is what ailia bank should have been I 100% agree yeah y'all told me in the last live stream or was it the one before that to Listen to doi's album and I listened to it almost a press play like every song was good and I just love how you know a lot of people don't like this about certain artists but I like how DOI goes in and out of different personalities and you really can't put her in a box you can't you can't pin her anywhere it's like okay what kind of rapper is she who is who is her inspiration who does she sound like she sounds like multiple people like I like that multiple personality thing and she's good weird I like the weirdness too yeah she's very eclectic I agree yeah so everybody's like oh I can't I can't well some people I see some people saying like oh I can't figure out who she wants to be and I can't figure out who what her style is maybe it's not meant to for you to figure out maybe it's just all over the place maybe it's more than one style so I like that about her yeah she's very versatile it's giving Gemini placement somewhere in there it's giving that a little bit does she have a Gemini placement somewhere I don't know yeah her style is versatility yeah so definitely go give this performance some views on YouTube go watch it I just thought it was really good yeah multifaceted yes that's a good term very multifaceted love it yeah I didn't like that recent photo shoot she did with the the male Al Alter Ego thing I didn't like that either but y'all know y'all know that you know I don't like a whole bunch of masculine imagery like that but you know she gives us everything so you know she's versatile oh DOI is a Leo son love that for her okay she's a Leo that's what's up but you know Leos are actors and actresses so I love that I love this for her yeah DOI is definitely the moment so y'all go download her album listen to her stuff if you haven't already she's doing it she's up next and yeah so more screenshots of this the robots oh this was so good don't you was she was serving honey this this was just so good to me look at the girls upside down like that that is great look at the robots in the back the girls did their thing on this performance yeah I loved it so um Chapel rone is next okay so Chappell Roan here's the thing I I thought Chapel's performance was okay I was hoping she would perform Pink Pony Club because that's my [ __ ] that is my song Personally that's pref that's my preference that's my favorite song from her um and I definitely think Chapel deserved her best uh her new artist Best New Artist award because her music is really good and and so I think she definitely deserved it and she's different she's another another one that's kind of just kind of out there and she's not afraid to be herself and she's different and she stands out so I like her yeah um and so did y'all see and this is why I titled the the video what I titled it did y'all see where Chapel cursed somebody out on the red carpet did y'all see this apparently girl somebody told Chapel or someone on appel's team to shut the [ __ ] up on the red carpet I don't know if it was a photographer or whoever and Chapel was like no you shut the [ __ ] up and it's funny because if you guys remember Chapel went viral not too long ago for posting a series of videos on Tik Tok basically telling her fans don't touch me when you see me and she said something along the lines of look I know I'm famous I know you feel like you can just come up to me whenever you want but you can't do that basically reinforcing her boundaries absolutely nothing wrong with what she said at all right setting some boundaries for her fans and you know it provoked this conversation about parasocial relationships and the problem with parasocial relationships um and I agreed with most of the commentary and again I have no problem at all with what Chapel said on her Tik Tok nor what she said on the red carpet because if somebody is telling telling me or somebody that's working for me to shut the [ __ ] up and they're being disrespectful I understand her clapping back right um but I couldn't help to think man it would be nice if black women were given that kind of Grace that people are giving Chapel right now some people are giving her a hard time but you know I just feel like I wish that black women got that same courtesy because when Kelly Roland and yes I'm going to bring this up when Kelly Roland snapped at that security guard on the red carpet she was labeled as all kinds of difficult angry black woman then later on down the line another celebrity who happened to be a white woman I believe or another non-black woman of color she went off on the same security guard so Kelly clearly wasn't the problem right then a lot of y'all black women unfortunately were just crying all over Tik Tok about Jackie blocking people for I guess congratulating her on a marriage announcement she didn't even make and so it's like when a black woman's boundaries are crossed or we're being disrespected which is quite often quite often okay if we don't take it up the ass with a smile we're angry we're bitter we're ungr grateful we're entitled but with Chapel I see a lot of people saying oh well you know she did nothing wrong she's human too she has a right to defend herself she has a right to reinforce her boundaries white women are immediately given the benefit of the doubt but black women are not even if we have no history of being irate or we have no history of being disrespectful y'all remember when Kelly Roland she allegedly walked off the Today's Show because she was they said she refused a dressing room or she was refused a dressing room or something and she got mad because she didn't get a dressing room or she didn't she didn't get the addressing room that she asked for it was something like that um I think this was right before the red carpet incident where she snapped on the security guard well all of these you know racist white people were calling her all kinds of divas and angry black woman but black people I noticed especially black women gave Kelly the benefit of the doubt because Kelly she does not have a diva reputation right and most of us gave her the benefit of the doubt when she snapped at that security guard because Kelly is not known to get out of character but from a certain demographic she's still got that angry black woman label especially in the White media TMZ people all of those you know Publications try to paint her out as being angry because she wouldn't tolerate the disrespect now Chapel is being praised for basically doing the same thing so is it safe to say that Chapel is an angry white woman is is it safe to say that I'm just saying I'm just saying I think we need to keep the same energy black women when you see stuff like this and don't get me wrong I like Chapel I like her music but we need to start treating this these women when they do this kind of stuff we need to start treating them how they treat black women we need to be like oh look at that angry white woman right there she's so angry why is she so upset why is she so mad oh my God we need to start doing the same thing she's so difficult to work with I bet she is so difficult to work with yep yep island girl says black women are supposed to tolerate disrespect and just be grateful to be there yep yeah yeah and this is what I'm saying though y'all see how even y'all are calling her feisty black women don't even get that term we get angry you know what I mean why why come Kelly couldn't be feisty Kelly was being feisty cuz Kelly she don't even have like that same fiery kind of personality that Chapel has but she was angry you get what I'm saying right Pono says I don't feel safe around her exactly yep I'm just saying you know I'm just calling out the double standards cuz somebody had to do it I'm just saying and I know life is unfair nothing we can do about it but you know me and you know I'mma call it out so yeah Chapel baby she's a feisty angry white woman ain't she chapel chapel got on Tik Tok and was like look if you see me in the streets [ __ ] back up don't say nothing to me ho I know I'm famous I know you like my music but I don't know you I don't [ __ ] with you like that that's basically what Chapel said I'm just saying I'm just saying you are the most important thing says a mean lesbian yeah yeah exactly she's mean and she's angry and she's bitter feminine dark skin says if you see me in the street shouty you don't know me that is so funny but anyway I like Chapel I just wanted to call that out Pink Pony Club is my [ __ ] shout out to Chapel um who's next so next we have Benson Boon and I'm is that his name I think that's right he did a good job I really like the song Beautiful Things um it's a really good pop song it has a really nice hook really strong hook and you know Benson he was up there doing back flips and everything I I thought his performance was really good he was another you know standout performance y'all said who is this man I I just know I heard his song on one of those playlists that I have on my phone or not on my phone but it's either on Apple music or Spotify and I heard his song beautiful things and it's a really good song I like it so I thought you know he deserved to be mentioned cuz it was pretty good his performance was good uh next we have Lenny kravit and you know I enjoyed Lenny kravit performance I like his song Human um I like the Fly song with quo and you know I I don't prefer quo's rapping I'll be honest with you I don't really I've never really listened to his music and been like oo I love I love that song but when it comes to this particular song um Fly I like the Hook and the melody it really saves the song and that is the power of a good hook and a good Melody it's very forgiving even if even if the rapping is not the best and the singing isn't great which I mean quo let's be honest his singing sounds a mess on here you know not the best rapper but the actual Melody and the hook is really good so it saves the song um okay who's the racist troll in the chat what's the name oh are did the racist trolls come out because they didn't like the title you don't like me calling out your angry white woman Chapel rone I'm sorry not sorry who's the CH who's the troll what's the name of the troll so I can get him out yeah I you know I don't understand the girls who are attracted to Lenny I I'm sorry I'm so sorry oh uh oh dollia dollia is mad huh oh you mad you're mad dollia a go walk it off dolly is deleted she's blocked oh a black man he she whatever go walk it off it's okay I'm sorry I caught out your precious angry white woman um so yeah I I don't get the girl who are attracted to Lenny I have I have some friends that think he is just so fine I you know I don't experience that when I look at Lenny but I can acknowledge he's a good artist Selena says so aggressive so masculine so angry I know right yeah no no I do think Lenny is handsome but you know he's not like a celebrity crush like you know how some of the other girls like oh my God he's so fine I don't agree he's just a little too fem for me just a little too fem that's all that's all he is attractive he's just a little too fem oh Lord we got some okay Lenny's H Okay girl okay yeah so that's all I have to say about that performance who is next um um Camila Cabello um this performance was okay but I just grabbed this screenshot to show an example of how background dancers should look when the artist is white or lightskinned and yes I'm going there if there is a light or or white artist or a non black woman of color performing they should their background dancers should not all be dark skinned women they should be diverse like you see here because I mentioned this before when um we were talking about music in another live stream and it was one of those artists lightskinn artists I forgot who it is at this point it may have been ice spice or somebody and I noticed how they always have like dark skinned women and all of their background dancers are dark skinned so I guess the light-skinned women can stand out we don't like that we don't like the message that that sends and so I feel like this is how you're supposed to do it this this is done correctly that's all oh no they're um they're committed huh you just going to keep getting blocked y'all listen if they come back under another name don't acknowledge them at all in the chat just let me find them okay and I'll block them because there's a they want the attention y'all yall got to stop giving the trolls so much attention not a fan of Camila sketchy background oh I didn't know what about that oh you know what I forgot all about the Tyler and hie um controversy I Tyla & Halle didn't even add a screenshot but I'll just talk about that really quick um to be honest with you I didn't I didn't get offended by what Tyler said and what she did um but I will say this right I feel like with American black people there is a cultural barrier there okay because and I'm just going to be honest I know like some of the Africans or you know non-american blacks will get mad about this and maybe they feel the same way about us too but they're you know a lot of the foreign blacks the non-american blacks they do have this arrogance about them I've experienced it you know going in a African restaurant or some sort of African establishment or Caribbean and my father is Caribbean okay so I'm not you know this is not me throwing anybody under the bus but this is just what I've noticed and so yeah I do think Tyler is arrogant you know but I think I think it's more so a cultural thing you know and I mean I really don't have too much else to to say too much more to say about that um ktie says she wouldn't have asked a white artist to hold her stuff I don't know maybe she was being entitled I don't know I didn't take it like that and I I don't know I feel like with hie hie didn't care either so I don't think you guys should to care more than hie that's all I'm saying and I do feel like some of you guys you tend to over identify with light-skinned women because I I think because maybe hie is the more unambiguous one you see yourself in her more than you do T and I understand that but she's not a representation of you either so I guess I guess all in all what I'm saying is this is really not your fight unambiguous dark skinned women this is not your fight okay Yasmin was blocked okay okay but do you understand what I'm saying I don't feel like this is your fight now do I feel like we can have another conversation about Tyla maybe being having a superiority complex because she's colored you know or because she's um mixed race looking whatever you want to call her yeah I mean we can have that conversation but I don't feel like um I don't feel like the scenario is our fight that's all I'm saying so I don't I don't care like a lot of other people people care about this and then another thing is I mean I feel like if you if y'all don't like Tyler y'all need to stop putting these artists on a pedestal I mean how many times are y'all going to keep doing this like I mean and I told y'all I never liked Tyler like that I never liked her water song I I I just think she's basic and mediocre I've I never flocked to Tyler like y' did so I can't even relate even liking this girl at all and so this is another you know um suspected colorist artist that you guys helped reach to the level of Fame that she's at and now you're complaining about her how many times are you going to continue to do this before you learn I mean it it's different if the artist is actually good and she looks like Tyler but y'all are hyping up these mediocre mix they're they're not even good the songs aren't even hitting like that I mean it's different if they're actually good like Beyonce is actually good she actually has good music but you know Tyler ice spice no I don't even like right ARA star I think that's how you pronounce her name AA star Tims they're good artists way better than Tyler so put your energy on those artists and I really don't think like to be honest with you and I said this before some of y'all got mad at me I don't see longevity for Tyla I don't I don't see long it for ice spice I don't even think they're going to be here that long in terms of being relevant in the industry so honestly I don't even think y'all have anything to worry about I mean ice spice her album they talking about her how her album didn't do good Tyler nobody's talking about her album like that so nobody really cares you know what I mean I know I don't y'all need to be putting all this effort into women like DOI yeah women like Tims Coco Jones DOI those women are on fire right now they're doing their thing Tyler I I highly doubt and y'all got mad at me when I said this last time I highly doubt anybody's going to be talking about Tyla a few years from now maybe even a year or two from now y'all are not going to be talking about her like that nobody is nobody's going to be talking about her music same thing with ice spice I just don't see it for them sorry okay um Mimi says to be honest I don't think ice spice can be compared to Tyler Okay Tyler might be a little bit better okay but I just I still don't see it for her I'm so sorry yeah FL Milly is that girl too she's doing really well too so yeah that's pretty much all I have to say about that um who is next here okay LL Cool J okay you know and this is this is another like heart throb from back in the day that I feel like I never really gravitated towards I never really looked at L cooj be like oh my God he's so fine I mean I thought he was attractive but he was never like one of my favorite like some of these other girls like a lot of y'all love L coolj and his performance it was okay but you could tell he was winded but you know I'm not going to hold that against him he's pushing like I'm sure he's pushing 60 I'm sure if is he 60 yet I'm pretty sure he's in that area so you know for him to be damn near a 60y old man he looks pretty good he got a little winded up there but that's to be expected okay I was never a big fan of his so he didn't blow me away you know I I liked a couple of his songs I I liked hey lover I love that one um and doing it doing it and doing it and doing it well I like that one and he performed that one so that one was cool but other than that like I never really was a big fan of LJ um so yeah and those are the only two songs I can remember girl y'all did y'all see the performance he was winded he was I was like dang LL you ain't even moving like that like what's going on but he I had to remember that he's up there in age he's getting up there you know oh yeah I forgot about Mama Gonna Knock You Out I forgot about that song Dang how old are y'all how old are y'all in this chat oh I forgot about that one who do you love I love that one too that is a good song I forgot about that okay it's coming back to me it's coming back it's coming why did he perform any of those songs he should have performed hey lover he should have performed that one y'all said you a 90s baby okay oh team I'm 50 okay okay well that Mak sense okay anyway girl so you know I mean that's pretty much was the show I mean there were other performances but I just feel like they weren't really notable so I don't have much to say but I do want to take this opportunity and we're going to get into the Fashions too but I want to take New music spotlight this opportunity to shout out some artists that I think should be highlighted and new songs that I think should be highlighted this is one of my favorite songs right now from Tink and summer Walker is called songs about you I just feel like the girls be sleeping on Tink I feel like the girls be sleeping on Tink I've I've loved her for a very long time she makes very good music y'all know I really don't I don't love summer Walker but the girl can write a she can write a song okay so y'all need to go stream this song it is good the R&B y'all think is missing is there they just don't play it they don't highlight these women enough and it's disrespectful and they need to get their shine so this is good strong hook you know the verses are strong I believe I don't know if this is missing a bridge it probably is cuz the girls don't like doing Bridges these days so it might need a bridge but it's still a good song So What do we have next why is it not oh wait okay this is a pop girl okay cuz y'all know my top three genres are R&B hip-hop and Pop I like other genres too and y'all definitely give me some recommendations too give me some new music to listen to so I can listen to it this is one of my favorite pop songs right now her name is Kenzie this is called the me I was again it needs a bridge but the hook is very strong um it has some good good sound effects in the hook that I really like and I think it's different so definitely check her out this is a really good song um Chloe we know Chloe y'all know Chloe this is from her new album moments you know I I'll be honest with you I didn't love her new album I it it wasn't a press play for me um but there were a couple maybe a few songs that I liked I I will say I enjoyed this album a little bit better than the last one Chloe I'm going to say what I said before she needs some stronger music I don't know if she needs to work with other writers or what she needs some but this song is good though it's good the verses to me are a little bit the better than the hook like the hook could be a little stronger but this is one of my favorite songs on the album yeah Chloe is super talented she just needs some better writers I think that's all she needs some more memorable music in my opinion Team Ruby says she's still finding her adult identity you think so Caleb says she needs to get back with hie possibly possibly yeah but that's my favorite song from her album Norman of course Little Secrets this is my favorite song on her new album again uh um I'm excited to see what Norman has in store for us next um her album wasn't a press play for me I think they released the wrong song for a single um I think she had better songs in the single day release like I don't even remember the name of it now but this is one of my favorite songs on the album little secrets yes this is my [ __ ] and so the next song is another pop girl Addison Ray Diet Pepsi you know this sounds like a Taylor Swift song to me it sounds very Taylor Swift inspired but I love this pop song I love it so much I feel like it's not getting enough recognition so I want to add that on here who is next Kim the man listen if you listen to Megan the stallion if you listen to glorilla if you listen to Sexy red you can listen to Ken the man okay she's runchy as [ __ ] she's masculine as [ __ ] but she's actually a good rapper she's actually good okay her songs are actually catchy and this song right now I'm loving from her I like a lot of her songs actually when I'm working out and I want to feel conceited and I want to feel cute and I want to feel like I'm being hyped up and I need something to you know keep my energy up and keep my momentum going I usually listen to rap music and so that's when I usually listen to Ken the man and this song is good it is a good song yeah bunny bunny TV TV says she can rap better than sexy red 100% 100% I like her rapping better than Megan the stallion personally but that's just me that's just me that's just me not Amara says sexy res music gives me acid reflux that's actually hilarious okay who's next raps City I'm going to keep piping up my girl back in my back I love this song I I listen to this every time I work out and so I don't think this is
