Intro [Music] Falcons and dolphins joint practices have officially come to a close as the two teams practiced together on Tuesday and earlier this morning and it's time to break down the latest injury news other news the Dolphins made a signing and takeaways from the two joint practices specifically we'll focus on the ones that come from today as we talked about Tuesday's practice yesterday today practice today and this is not the complete list there were some other people as well but these were the eight main names I wanted to bring up Jaylen wad remained out of practice today Javon Holland was out after getting a little bit banged up at the tal end of yesterday's practice cam Smith who missed some time came back and then reinjured himself on Tuesday he's not able to stay healthy in this training camp thus far which kind of gives me a sketchy Vibe on how much he's going to actually be able to impact Dolphins this year clas Campbell might just be veteran rest same thing with teron Armstead But Eric ukama remained out Braxton baros out as well and then Anthony Walker Jr the linebacker is also out Jordan Brooks returned Jordan puyer was there spotted doing work on the side but did not participate in an 11 on 11s but it is good to see Jordan puyer back on this Dolphins defense and that's kind of where I want to like kind of tell you all right now real quick before we get into some of the takeaways from today because the Dolphins didn't have the best day on the field against the Atlanta Falcons but they're missing so many key players their starting safeties didn't participate at all like they just have so many players not really ready to go and I know the Falcons are dealing with some injuries today by the way prayers up to Rond Del Moore as he had to leave the practice today a little bit early due to a leg injury that he actually got an aircast put on to him so hopefully he's all good but the Dolphins are dealing with so many injuries it's really hard to take away anything concrete from these two practices they Aaron Brewer might be having to deal with another injury though unfortunately Aaron Brewer the projected stting center for the Miami Dolphins left practice and was examined by the trainers it looked like a hand injury to Aaron Brewer and Joe Shad says it's not ideal at all yeah no crap because this could be absolutely horrific for the Miami Dolphins it's not even like Aaron Brewer is some otherworldly Center but just for the mere fact that the Dolphins interior offensive line is already the weakest point on this roster the two guard spots are up in the air Aaron Brew's coming over Tennessee I like Aaron Brewer but if he's hurt then you got to move Liam mikenberg back to Center cuz he's your backup center and then that makes you have to put in Jack Driscoll or someone in the third string to start at Right Guard as Isaiah wi Still Remains on the pup list like an interior offensive lineman injury is probably the worst thing that could happen to the Dolphins outside of one of their top five or six players getting hurt just due to the lack of depth you already have at that position right now so I am going to really hope Aaron Brewer's injuries nothing serious we'll know more likely coming up in the next 24 to 48 hours but he's certainly not going to be playing on Friday against the falc in the first preseason game but hopefully it's not a long-term injury don't jinx it we got to Good Vibes get the Good Vibes flowing towards Aaron Brewers so this injury isn't real I know some of you might say this doesn't mean anything but in my head it does spam those 55s Aaron Brewers jersey number to hopefully get the Good Vibes in the YouTube and universe and in the world so his injury is not that serious all right let's get into the practice takeaways takeaway number one we had two fights I love when team scrap in training camp I know some people might not feel the same way and now that we're seeing teams get fine like the Lions and Giants did just from a couple days ago I would expect Miami and Atlanta to get fined as well here is Marcel who covers Fights the team for ESPN saying another large fight breaks out between the Dolphins defense and Falcons offense there's was a small one during the Special Teams period Atlanta has looked a little bit more energetic today than Miami and before we move on look at this it's okay here but the first tweet was at 10:20 a.m. this next one that was from Marcel comes in at 10:23 a.m so he says second fight comes and he quote tweeted himself says make that two today on that side of the field bunch of players wound up on the ground clear a lot of intensity on that side and that was with the number one offense for the Atlanta Falcons going up against the number one one defense for the Miami Dolphins two massive fights only 3 minutes apart from each other and it's clear that the Dolphins defense is clearly bringing the juice and that's something that they are making very intentional in this upcoming season Jaylen Ramsey spoke to the media about it that he felt like they were soft last year and they didn't really bring the physicality and bring the energy that they should have down the stretch which allowed them to blow some games and not play strong defense at the back half of the year I think Jaylen Ramsay is going to make a point along side new DC Anthony Weaver to play more physical and not say I go out there and make fights happen in the middle of the games but no we're not going to back down we're not going to be the Finesse team that people around the league think we are no we're not going to we're going to get our hands dirty roll up our sleeves and really become a more difficult team to move the ball against we do have a sub Sub to bring you smiles over at home you see Malik Washington's picture right there it's because he was absolutely on fire today the sixth round pick from Virginia made a pair of really nice catches for chunk yardage there was one that went for about 35 40 yards another one that went for 20 yards Malik Washington who is trying to get into that wide receiver three discussion and create a role for himself in the slot with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Wadd because Odo Beckham Jr's injury it is really possible for Malik Washington to grab a strangle hold on that River Craycraft has played extremely well so far in Camp but Washington who I've been very high on have been very open about my belief in him having a role and being a long-term piece of this Dolphins offense in the future had his best day of camp probably since it opened up as a rookie he had a really good day against the Atlanta Falcons but he's not the only rookie who had a really nice day on the offensive side of the football Jaylen Wright the fourth round rookie running back who the Dolphins traded a future third to get in this past NFL draft displayed some physicality while running in the red zone and that is something that should be very welcomed by Miami Dolphins fans cuz Wright who is a really good pass protector and a really good threat out of the back field in terms of receiving but it's known more of a speed guy when running the football ran a 438 at the 40 yard dash but if he's delivering some thump and all the reporters out there in Miami were saying how physically he was running with the football in the red zone that just brings more versatility to this Dolphins backfield and specifically Jaylen Wright as a player he can do it in the passing game he can do it with the speed oh if he can do it with physicality too then you really work should be looking out and I'm excited to hear that both of these guys really got off to a good start today because I want these two to contribute I really like those two picks I was lukewarm on Jaylen Wright at first I knew he was a good player but it was like do they really need a running back but I really like him as a player individually and I've always been a big fan of Malik Washington thought that was a steal for the fins in the sixth round so I'm hoping these two can continue to stack good training camp performances stack a good preseason game on Friday night and really get the ball rolling for themselves to try to carve out a roll on this Dolphins offense for the regular season when it gets underway on September 8th against the the Falcons in the second joint practice because the Dolphins offense really struggled today and it's disappointed to hear that I know a lot of people specifically Falcons fans came on our video yesterday and said that I was lying about the defense dominating the Falcons offense yesterday well I don't think that's the case the Dolphins defense certainly outplayed the offense I don't have to shoot the messenger over here I could be unbiased and say that the Dolphins often struggle they just weren't sharp today we saw Tu tooa miss a couple throws that he normally makes and he missed River great craft very narrowly on a deep ball that would have really set the offense up in a good spot weren't that good in the Red Zone either and it's tough like I'm not here to make excuses for them but just when you look at it from a realistic point of view it's tough to really analyze how this Dolphins offense can perform when you're missing your wide receiver two your projected wide receiver three hell your projected wide receiver four in Braxton Barrios and you're missing teron Armstead Isaiah win Aaron Brewer leaves early on that offensive line like when you're mixing guys who usually won't play for you in the regular season sure there's going to be some growing pains because some of these guys have not played together as they're on different units of the football team but still you would like to see the dolphins offense perform a little bit better than they did today they little they struggled shout out to Atlanta for make him work at least number four we're going to talk Ethan Bonner about Ethan Bonner again man I mean how can we have a training camp video without mentioning Ethan Bonner he is had an unbelievable Camp every single person who has watched the Dolphins this July and August have said that he is deserving of a roster spot he's been holding his own against Tyreek Hill and Jaylen wad an 11 on 11 seven on seven one-on ones when they're playing each other and this last couple of practices against Drake London the number one wide receiver for Atlanta they've absolutely battled hey it led to a fight yesterday between Bonner and Drake lond did now I don't think Bonner had another I guess runin that caused fight today he wasn't part of the two fights but he was battling in today and all reports are that he was holding his own Ethan Bonner who's likely still going to be the fourth fifth sixth Corner even on this Dolphins roster really has a good chance to make this team I would probably project he is firmly on the inside of the roster bubble and unless he really goes downhill over the next couple weeks that uh Ethan Bonner he's going to be on your Dolphins 53 man roster but predict it for me will Ethan Bonner end up making the 53 Man team type y for yes Type n for no roster cut down last week of August let me know if Ethan Bonner is going to be on the right side of it when we get Jonathan Forson Jr there all right last takeaway today it's unfortunate folks if you've watched the channel for the past month or so you've known that I am very bullish on jod foron Jr he had really strong OTAs really strong mini camp but he is in trouble for a roster spot I guaranteed that he was going to be on the roster I claimed him as a my guy but he's had some drop troubles dropped another today I read something out there that it's his third or fourth drop in this pre or this training camp which is not ideal and that's not good because if you're on the roster bubble and you're trying to make a team you need to have sure hands to tr so you get trust from your position coach trust from your quarterback trust from your offensive coordinator and jod forson just simply has not been able to deliver that after having a really good OTAs and mini camp and when you pair that up with Julian Hill playing really well had a 30 yard catch today on a little bit of a swing pass Tanner Conor having a strong training camp Janu Smith being very solid as well Durham SMI like you're starting to see three four names kind of get put ahead of jod forson Jr on the depth chart if you will or at least likeliness of making this roster and I don't know if their dolphins are going to go four or five tight ends deep and if they only go three it's going to be tough for forson to make it with how well SMI Smith and Julian Hill have done so far so jod forson Jr is going to have to have a really strong two and a half weeks coming up here to maybe change the minds of Chris Greer and Mike McDaniel Roster Move all right before we get out of here on Today's Show Roster move you saw in the title the Dolphins did sign a wide receiver earlier this morning signed wide receiver Mike Harley Jr who has never recorded a stat in the NFL former Cleveland Brown also a former Miami Hurricane totaled over 2,000 yards in his career playing for Miami so he kind of comes home at least a little bit for this training camp and in a corresponding move the Dolph released offensive lineman Chason hind so wanted to get you updated there is the Dolphins are always making roster moves adding people getting depth because of the injuries to Eric ukama Udo Beckham
