OLYMPICS: a week in my life at the paris summer games 🏆

[Music] [Applause] [Music] this is one of my favorite things about the city right now so many roads are closed on the side of the Sun that has the Eiffel Tower now there's basically only pedestrian and bikes and then official cabs are like the only cars that are allowed in so it takes me probably 15 minutes to bike across the whole city all the streets are completely empty except for people who are just walking to Olympic events and I absolutely love biking but it's very scary to bike here because of the cars and the traffic but here literally just everybody is on bicycles this morning I am biking over to the Team USA house that's where they have the official Team USA olympic gear that you only can get at the house have like some cafes and shops and they have viewing parties there as well we are in route this is usually one of the busiest streets in Paris that's the Sun River [Music] a today is Taylor's First singles match at the Olympics it's been quite chilly and rainy and cold this morning the matches already got delayed like 2 and 1 half hours so I don't really know what's going to happen but that's why I'm wearing a little sweater in the middle of summer I don't know if the weather just like didn't change since rolling GS but if you guys remember during French Open it was rainy and cold the entire time it was so miserable I could not wait to get out of Paris so I was hoping it would be a bit nicer here this time around but it doesn't seem like it is the opening ceremony was basically pouring rain the entire time as well so welcome back to Paris because everything got delayed I am going to go to lunch with friends we're going to go to the Soho house here in Paris which you're technically not allowed to film out and then I guess I'll go to the courts after depending on how the matches move but as of right now it looks like T will not be on until 8:00 p.m. or something when he was supposed to be on around 3:00 so we'll see we'll see how the day [Music] goes I just happened to be back with Alexa at the we're back at the mall the mall the sports mall it's not as crazy as the rolling AR one though trying to figure out what the mascot is it kind of just looks like a germ to me 65 for that little plushy look at the Paralympics oh going to lie guys the merch store is not giving what we thought it was going to give kind of looks like a woman with a bob instead of a flame or maybe it's supposed to is it supposed to be both yeah I mean it has lips it's going woo it looks like I made this in my garage why is this merch so sad wait I kind of love the the Mona Lisa the Mona Lisa that is funny Alexa is repping USA USA got the double layers love it love it love it and the jacket is from Seline is that crazy I was at the mall in Florence which if you go to Florence go to the mall and I saw this in the Seline store and I was like do I need it then I was like Olympics yes you need it I need you to wear it and Marshall's got Stone Island Ry denam and and a little seelman stles repping USA olympic line thank you Max Thanks Max love it and the Golden Goose the filthy rained on Golden Goose that's the whole point that's the whole point that's the whole exact actually made them look much nicer over the last two days and the sopping spping [Music] wet I was only planning on coming to Paris for 2 days because I had so much anxiety I don't know if it was like if like fear-mongering is the right word but I saw so many things on social media that Paris is going to be a nightmare and the city is going to be terrible and you're not going to be able to get anywhere I've been to Paris a lot the last couple years and to me it seems so much more quiet than normal like when I landed at the airport it was a ghost town there literally was nobody there we were like the only flight landing in the whole airport I don't know if it's because parisians usually work in the city maybe have work off or are supposed to work from home during the games but I'm in what I know to be a pretty busy area and it's so quiet not complaining I usually don't like it here because I think it's too many people same with Rome it just I mean I love the cities in general but especially in the summer the tourism is so insane and it just it stresses me out being in big crowds of people so mornings like this when I have the whole city to myself I'm like oh I could stay here forever I think Alexa and I are on the way to go to swimming this morning which I'm super EXC before I hadn't even thought about going to swimming and then I was watching it on the TV the other night when Katy leui won the women's I think it was the 200 meter and she's fully like an entire she's in her own leak it's she's in her own lane like she's like turning underwater people are going to laugh at me in the comments it was so it CRA direction as the rest of the match like this is insane I was watching it the crowd just looked so fun and so I texted Alexa and I was like we should go see swimming the Paris law defense Arena um so the events that that are today are men's 100 met butterfly women's 200 M medley women's 800 met freestyle and 400 meter mix medley I'm about to love so much about swimming today we're going to learn can't wait and I just think that I don't know it's different I've never been to like a sporting event like like a swimming Arena before during the summer olympics you have to go see a swing match me me it's swing me really would like to go see either Judo or tawan know cuz I also have been watching that on the TV and I think it looks really cool it's PR cool um what else you already went to beach volleyball I went to beach volleyball it was amazing skateboarding was amazing that whole Center I think it's called like the urban something yeah it's where they've had skateboarding BMX basically how I got these tickets there's a Paris Olympics official resale site and basically you just have to go on and like hit refresh and stuff and tickets will pop up and I managed to get these the second that they were posted people keep messaging me being like you get tickets to things through like influencer stuff I'm like no they don't care nothing like you have to you just have to refresh there's nothing special about it I'm telling everybody I'm like if you can still make it out there's still so much to see at the Olympics a lot of parisians were also against the Olympics coming here but I've gotten some messages from people who live in Paris that were like we were dreading this but now everyone's super excited about it and everybody's getting tickets some tickets for events are super expensive like tennis is insanely expensive of course it always is but other events you can get tickets for €25 each which is not bad at all really really depends on the event and the location of the event and what time of day the event is but there's definitely a wide like variety of of budgets for different events and Ball's apparently really cool I'm looking at things that are on the TV yesterday I've just had the Olympics playing 24/7 on the TV in my hotel room we're going to swimming and then after swimming we are going straight to beach volleyball which is under the Eiffel Tower and that one actually is with a brand we're going with free people um there's a few yeah thank you free people there's a very very few number of Brands who are activating here or bringing people to events because I don't know I think it's like difficult to activate around the Olympics and also they're so strict with legal guidelines and trademarks so unless you're an official partner of the Olympics I think a lot of Brands just don't even bother [Music] so so sexy they're so [Music] high it be so good at [Music] it's all go chees on top at Leia this is one of my favorite restaurants in Paris it's like a very old school classy so amazing and everything is just made as it's supposed to be made Alexa told me this goat cheese omelette is unreal I usually don't like egg way though it's here for the cheese getting plenty of goat cheese last I just got our lunch paid for you are a sight for sore eyes thank you for the view enjoy Paris and he left his number I don't know who this person is I need to figure out who it is I asked the server I was like I will give you a bigger tip if you tell me about this person I guess he's just like everyone's bribing him left and right he's like yeah he's like in his 30s I was like is this like an old man he's like no he's in his 30s he's like really cool he comes here a lot he's in the industry and I was like can you explain to me what that means because we're not in Los Angeles right now then someone else sent us Ros like really nice Ros yeah they did different table sent us wine so and I was like hi can I say thank you to the person that sent us wine he goes he already left yeah they both just paid for the separate things and off also the man that paid for our lunch the waiter said I'm so sorry if that made you uncomfortable he specifically asked me not to tell you until he until you guys got the check and he was gone CU he didn't want to interrupt your meal pay for my meal and then leave and then leave thank you and he's like here's my number in case for any men that watch my channel if you're going to pay for someone's meal that's the way to do it that's how you do it do not expect anything sitting like when guys send drinks to the table and then they're all sitting there like looking over like waiting for you to react and it's also creep just sometimes it's unwanted attention and then you feel like you owe them and that's annoying to feel like you owe someone something but that was glorious that was nice it very nice and the meal was delicious we just got to the Eiffel Tower we're going to go watch beach volleyball I think this is one of the coolest venues probably next to I would say Versailles where all the equestrian events I think this is the coolest venue of the Olympic it it's really cool when I was here for French Open they were just starting to build all the stuff for this this was like months I me down for theast couple hi so this is the Paris Tickets App this is where all of the tickets let go to and then this is pretty much what every entrance looks like it is a little security they check your QR code and then you are into the and swimming have been much easier than tennis tennis the lines were very long if you get there right before the matches start I imagine if you get here right before it starts this line is probably very long okay we are officially on the volleyball grounds there's so many Australians here [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] man moner monster monster moner [Music] all [Music] [Applause] this morning I'm going to walk to L meray which is one of my absolute favorite neighborhoods here in Paris I'm going to go to my favorite coffee shop and then I'm going to go to the Free People movement popup so basically throughout the whole week they have this cute little popup they have workout classes and massages and then kind of a gifting sweet so I'm going to walk over there it is so hot in Paris the first day that I got here it was like very rainy and cold and every single day it is just been boiling I accidentally slept through my plot's class this morning I guess I shut off my alarm in my sleep and didn't even realize and so I woke up at like 8:30 my class started at 8:00 and I was like oh I get the worst anxiety when I wake up late like my usual ideal time to wake up is around 6 6 or 7 a.m. and if I sleep past 8:00 I feel like my entire day has gone to waste already I don't it's been an issue since I was little so when I woke up this morning I just woke up with the worst worst worst anxiety so I'm going to go on a walk and try to listen to like positive music because I don't know why it just it stresses me out so bad when I don't wake up early it's been a constant issue [Music] for the Olympics they only have three of the gates open whereas at rolling arrows there's like 50 Gates so if you get here just before the matches start anytime basically between like 10 and 12 the lines are super long took me almost an hour to get my ticket checked and get through security and everything so it's definitely not as like smooth and organized as French Open is also at French openin there are a ton of bars food places food stands open you really can get anything that you want here there's only a few stalls there's a coffee place which pretty consistently has a line of 200 people in it and a lot of the little activations and stuff that they usually have are closed so it doesn't quite feel like the same like full experience there's really just tennis to come in watch which I guess makes [Music] sense I'm dripping sweat I literally have boob sweat I thought I was going to pass out and I'm literally just sitting there they're playing this little Olympic uniform I'm annoyed with myself because I feel like I sound like a broken record at this point but I'm so sick and I feel like I us usually pride myself on the fact that I have a very strong immune system for how much I travel I never get sick but I think I've just been non-stop this summer and my body just can't keep up and the last 2 days I have been completely out of commission like I haven't posted anything I haven't even gone on social media because I don't have the energy to have like a really bad like cold flu I had a fever I literally sweat through my sheets last night it was awful but Taylor and Tommy are playing in the doubles bronze medal round today for the possibility to get an Olympic medal and I'm really really excited for them so I'm going to try to go to the match and just like stay away from everybody cuz I really don't want to get anyone sick but I really don't want to miss this I'm just going to go to the match and then come straight home and sleep because I need to rest up I really don't want to fly like this I think I might push my flight back a day or two as well so that I'm not you know flying feeling like this or getting anyone else sick but I'm so excited I'm so happy for them they've been friends forever so it's really cool that they'll get to you know potentially have this opportunity together hopefully it'll be a good match I'm not even putting on makeup for the match I don't even have the energy to let's go USA [Applause] oh [Music]
