3 Live Canes on CIS 5/8: Miami Hurricanes Offensive Depth Chart Fantasy Draft

hello and welcome ladies and gentlemen to yet another edition of three live canes here on can's Insight welcome in to discuss Miami Hurricanes football here on a Wednesday night in early May when uh just when you think that things aren't going to go uh anything crazy gonna happen everything's going to go nice and easy here we are discussing yet another Edition in the portal this one a huge Edition like literally and and figurative figuratively because you're getting a guy at a key position a position you want always want to Stack chips at and a guy position we've talked about recently um a guy that you know will definitely add to the the conversation of defensive Playmakers um but also it's it's it's been discussed lately I know that the guy D money and Pete talked about it a little bit you know some people out there are crying about um depth and buying players and all this kind of stuff and any chance we can to dunk on Brian Kelly we will absolutely take it as a personal Vendetta I have against him so we'll talk about that and then later on I have something fun for you I know usually we're very serious and formula with our discussions but we have something fun we're going to do an offensive depth chart Fantasy Draft we have team steo and team Bill all set ready to roll they're going to be drafting players from the depth chart notice I did give Cam Ward to both teams but they're welcome to draft a backup quarterback but that wouldn't exactly be fair but no I know Steve loving to Puff maybe steveo would went went away from C with that number one pick but uh well every everything outside of Cam W we're going to draft out a team see if we can make what make sense of this to deep and see where our high priority position are but before we get to all of that as always young Bill how you doing today I'm good I'm big chilling you know you I'm a man of the people I I read the comments from last week you know maybe my microphone wasn't working good so we swapped it out you know I'm here for you guys I'm here to entertain the people uh so that's how we're doing thank you Bill and Greg Bush stepping up big for biging the comments um it's in there it's honestly if you search for La canes on CIS it should pop up if you do the whole thing otherwi you go to Kane's Insight it'll pop up there I don't know why the notification thing doesn't work as well but just make sure you have all your stuff set for K's Insight like live videos to pop up and you should be okay um otherwise maybe I should post it earlier than like five o'clock every afternoon and do have a show I'll post in the morning that that might help but I don't know either way we appreciate you guys getting out there and looking for us um steo how we doing tonight I'm chilling uh nice little couple workouts back to back uh my little brother just came in first place regionals down here for track uh so I'm I'm big vibing just got home from over there not that long ago uh it's lit it's nice times nice times uh hurricanes yeah obviously I love getting the defensive tackle especially with production we've been talking about it it's a need especially after jhh just you know hit it to SMU um it's it's huge you can't understate it um it's a game-changing commitment and it just continues to Signal the Allin on cam Ward on this one season ain't gonna be no not to say excuses cuz there ain't going to be no excuses anyway but there ain't going to be nothing more that they could have done where we could look back end of the season be like hey we should have got this guy or hey we should have did that or tried this or that no matter what the season goes how it goes there's no way uh anybody could say that you know Miami didn't do what they could and these days in college football you know it's if you'd love to say it's a build you know we're building to this we're like slowly adding Talent now you have the ability to add a lot of talent in a short space of time and those teams that aren't doing it are just going to fall by the wayside because it is what it is um but we'll get to all that stuff and and all that talk and all that chatter um here in a second we free look to the outside tries to STI arm but he couldn't get by Ray Lewis Big Time Players Step Up Bigg don't ask me if I'm all right hell to the RAC that's what they need that's rck going up for cor and it's intercepted near Midfield Taylor's got another one who else steo you going to the UF game oh yo what's good fam long time no talk um n not the UF game uh I can't make that one uh I'm going USF though catch my love brother Brandon whon uh who plays over there with the bulls so that' be probably my away game and then I'll probably try to make the ACC Championship game if we make it you feel I probably try to hit USF in the ACC Championship game I'll tell you what our chances of making that game definitely went up over the past couple days but the addition of Simeon Barrow uh a defensive tackle for Michigan State in case you guys have been living under a rock or just not tuning into YouTube shows he's a guy that that has been a big Target of Miami for a little bit now ever since he entered into the portal a guy at a position of need and Steve I mentioned before read a fresh off of losing you know Jared Harrison hunt like obviously a position where you needed a guy that can come in right away hope we had high hopes for the young guys and still have high hopes for the young guys but but steo obviously getting a cal a player of the caliber of Simeon Barrow 6 foot3 300 pounder you know 30 career starts all that kind of stuff certainly makes that room A Little Bit Stronger today yeah I mean you hit ite on that 30 career starts and he played in the Big 10 it's more you know it's a boring league in my opinion outside of a couple schools that can put up points it's very boring but uh traditionally you know a mano eano in the trenches when you're watching a big 10 game you're you know you're probably a guy who likes you know the trench warfare uh so he's battle tested 30 starts in the Big 10 that's no joke that's that's big time football that means you've been able to go up against Michigan Ohio State you know Iowa in the trenches all the wiconsin and you're going against those type of offensive lines and still producing at a high level and that says a lot and you know at this point in your career fourth year guy we know what we're getting out of you uh and that's going to be impact player Vibes so I'm very happy for this get obviously you know losing jhh sucks um but you know to rebound and get one of the top portal you know defensive lineman out there especially at D tackle I I just think it's a slam dunk I mean this literally just a slam dunk why wouldn't you add you know arguably they're arguing whether him or his ex- teammate that went to Oregon were the best so regardless you know he was top two yeah I'll take top two especially like you said position and need a spot where there was a like you want to get men you want to get grown men at this spot we talked about that in the offensive line you don't want I mean great to get a project fine but you want to get a grown man plan on the o line and the D line we certainly did that uh Bill thoughts on Barrow yeah yeah you took the words right on my mouth you know he's he's a grown man and you're you know adding him you know to a room with you know other grown men right you know CJ Clark um you know Marley CL or Marley cook um you all guys that have you know played you know have experience but you know siming barrier will kind of slide right into that three Tech Lane next to CJ Clark um but you know this is one you had to have right after you know all the you know all the offseason wins kind of that the last kind of glaring need um you know was getting you know a highlevel defensive tackle to you know add to that room to one for Depp but two Frontline starter um so you know like stea was saying you know proven you know against you know high level competition in the Big 10 um so this was you know a huge one and um I think you can make an argument that you know after cam Ward he's either the next biggest commit or the you know second biggest commit um you know from the port all this cycle and that's that's saying a lot it's not like we're a team that you know got one or two or was it Clemson the only team in the only like real non-military school that that got zero like incoming transfers this year kids are transferring in the Ivy Leagues and Clemson still didn't take a transfer that's crazy even though they lost you know some players that actually played for them yeah not Ault crazy but you know the ability to get a guy like Barrow obviously tells you what Mario's all about and like as Ste mentioned before like Allin is the key part of it and Bill talked about a little bit but steo in your mind like what kind of player is Barrow like what should the fans expect from from him when he comes in and stuff on the field probably day one um very Stout against the Run uh very violent with his hands he can get off the ground he can get off the ball and you know he's gonna he's gonna slash gaps you know he's gonna slash creases you know a lot of these Zone blocking schemes you know offensive line were sliding to the right sliding to the left he's gonna split some of those gaps he's gonna be able to attack the Run game you know from the backside we've been seeing that we haven't seen that since like you know an RJ McIntosh type you know where you could he would have that athleticism within the tackle box as a defensive tackle uh to you know plays running away chasing down from the backside so you can expect a lot of that high motor on the pass rushing you see some of his sacks you know he was definitely he was going through a lot offensive guard in the center and he's you know blessed and a running back trying to pick him up and pass Pro know he worked hard for a lot of those sacks you know because there a lot of attention going his way his his buddy's more of the eat him up type of guy while he was going up field uh so he he's definitely you know has a high motor and uh I'm impressed with the tape obviously the stats say this but you know his demeanor when he makes a play he kind of looks like a Miami player you know he talks that is a lot of players but and uh it's a position to need man you could still go out there and find another defensive tackle and sign him uh if there was one available it's just that's how much you need there's not a position in football that gets rotated more than defensive line especially at the University of Miami with what we've tried to do I mean Leonard Taylor I think as Peak how many snaps did he play like like 40% of snaps or something like that and that was that was supposed to be our guy we're talking of 35 to 40% snap guy you know so like that they want to be able to move those guys and they want to be those guys to be able to make plays it's it's it's the kind of thing you see in the NFL quite a bit and a lot of teams out there rotating their defensive line as much as possible and keeping them a Peak Performance as best they can and now we probably the ability to do that and and and go to both of you on this but Bill like is there anyone else like still on your mental rle of deck some players that like okay I know we're looking pretty good here here here here but is there anybody else that you still are are thinking about bringing some like we gotta get this guy I think you know Tyler Baron's still out there um you know things seem to be trending you know positively with that you know it's been you know well known it looks like Harry Potter um know well well known that um you know looking for you know another Edge guy and you know he's the best one out there um you know some competition with some SEC School um you think you know potentially another corner you another safety although you know that market seems to be you know a little drier out there but I think Tyler Baron is you know potentially the next Domino and you know maybe the last Domino steo oh well from my account we have like 84 scholarships so it would be like lining up perfectly if you know if he was scholarship 85 and if you were to tell me a guy like him you know a year or two ago would be scholarship 85 You' be like oh my God team better compete uh so definitely continue that Pursuit things are you know they say trending Miami's way I think you know we're confident with you know we have a really good system when it comes to helping get transfer quarterbacks and transfer you know big- time running backs so if we could use that system well to land the number one you know defensive tackle quarterback and running back in the portals and we could probably you know use those same skill sets to get land the best DN left in the portal so he connection that's how you do it you could be a primary recruiter right now Tyler B you're saying your be primary recruiter if you went to I don't know a website like Kane's connection steo that would help out think that would help out that's that's the last one that's the last one of the cycle man let's do it I I don't know about adding more players I think Baron could be the last guy um just because I mean I thought the windows closed maybe a grad ch for KH leave and open up a spot but this is this is might be the last on the roster yeah yeah I fully expect there to be you know maybe a few um you know grad transfers but did you guys see Brian Kelly's uh comment oh God yeah driven because they got because they don't got Kane's connection and Oklahoma Li bro them he came out and said that they don't um you know they're not the talent acquisition didn't go as well as planned because not out there buying players which one is a joke because they absolutely are involved in that game uh for I mean they stole from a children's hospital to pay players so easily forgotten about easily forgotten about that they did that yeah and then you have the that was involved in a in a murder um which is just you know crazy did you homk I don't like Kelly no he's oh the the kid on the top oh we talk yeah I ain't gon lie yeah F Brian Kelly one of the best Ste shots of college football history is him on that sideline just looking like he's about to cry and they and they they put that chain on him with the L they edited it that was one of the best Cinema effects you whatever see on Twitter yeah but he's he's a guy that um he's probably gonna feel it this year um you know I mean they're going to take a step back offensively they have to um and that def I don't know how much better that defense is going to be so I mean we we mocked that higher in the beginning one because we don't like Brian Kelly but you know to struggle at an LSU you know it's hard to do really yeah it's a yeah every coach there has won a national title right since Brian Kelly because Le one one um oron one one Sabin one1 yeah uh whoever was before saving maybe not but yeah probably not but like I mean that's three for three it's pretty good pretty good like not a lot of schools are called it three for three like winning national titles um the last three guys that have been out there so um an opportunity uh I was shining before some other big schools no yeah because enough guys have like blown it in recent memory even Edo like he had that he had that that magical year so that's enough they make to get it done but um obviously like there's there's lines there for it and I I understand like the old like people you know trying to hold on to well we're not doing but you we're in the world where everybody has like this is the game now this is the idea this is how you do it like I can't wait for how they have this stuff in NCA 25 the video game like it's I I'm excited to see how this thing rolls right because I want to see how like hey this your star running back says you might transfer would you like to give him a Mercedes like a pat on the back well go Mercedes I'll go Mercedes you know that that's the kind of stuff we talking about like what are we doing with that they're gonna uh speaking of the game if they screw it up and they're just like oh you have a thousand nil points to distribute that's the worst thing that they could do it needs to be a dollar amount there needs to be uh incentives like Mercedes and and cars and that kind of vacations all that kind of stuff needs to be time shed time you would like to offer uh your linebacker's mother a job a brand new car vacation in High School coach a ga like all that stuff you're coaching staff will go down two points if you offer him like I don't know but that's whatever it is I mean that's the deal if you're not playing the game right now if you're not willing to play the game we've seen enough college coaches that made a jump to the NFL to get like if that's not the game they want then then it is what it is Nick Savin ran away because he was afraid of this game fine that's you're afraid of you want to do that game you can go retire Nick Brian Kelly you can retire too like you could that this is the way college football is now so if you're not ready to adapt you do what people for things have always done in history when they didn't adapt you fade away right so Miami not fading away if anything Miami is looking as strong as they've been and like honestly as strong as we've looked in terms of total roster construction this is as strong as we've looked 20 years mid 2000s I would say on paper we're talking 20 years that's that's like back then even like you that Coker when he was just recruiting off for Rivals like we we're 20 years deep in terms of like this the last time we had as much depth as many players as and impact guys as we as we could possibly think of and and you know as as we work our way through the summer like we'll we'll focus on as many of those positions as possible U but one fun way that we thought we would do it here early on in uh in this you know offseason as we kind of head into the summer and all was to to do something that you know we see done occasionally and and you know we're just getting out of draft season um now we're going to have a little bit of a fantasy draft for the Miami Hurricanes but we're just going to focus on the offensive side of the ball then sometime in the near future we'll focus on the defensive side of the ball maybe I maybe I'll even jump into one of these drafts or more likely not I'll just have Billy and steo do it that way nobody gives me any heat but I can mock the loser uh bill so whichever way this goes obviously it's gonna be a fun way to do it so we have a little little fancily made Google slide presentation tab I'm gonna throw up here looks a little bit like this at that that's six hours of work right there to slap that thing together look at look at the little green tree in the background there steo see that got green tree in the background there learn how to do a watermark a little gradient on there little gradient little transparency yeah there you go right digital media classes man steing up these days but here's how we're going to go we're going to go back and forth we're going to fill out the team I listed positions here um I I feel like I was going to put just all receivers for steo as a joke but we never know how steo steo has a lot of running backs on that team that he likes uh may or may not be from a county he's familiar with so I'm not sure exactly how he's going to go with it but feel free to adjust things um I can go in adjust the offensive line categories as we go to we'll see how free and loose you guys get with positions are in the offensive line but every offensive player is on the board he is available to be chosen if there's a guy who like well he's an offensive guy but he played a little defense like that you're welcome to take him to and see how that goes like I said before cam Ward is on both teams because it really wouldn't be fair to someone not have Cam Ward um if you want to draft at the end a backup quarterback you guys could do that just so Ste can get PFF out there as a motivational speaker or whatever he wants to have him as in addition to being a backup quarterback but are you have any issues with that discussion no I I did come into the evening prepared to um trade cam Ward for additional draft picks from steo um but now that's off the table so we'll go back to my contingency strategy right and and also before the show in our a six-h hour team meeting we had as part of our discussion um how we going to do the draft and bill was like well we could do like one person got said then we snake for two rounds and then we go and I was like get to get out of here with that nonsense we're gonna keep it very clean very easy steveo's gonna go first because steo has more Charisma and intelligence and Bill gonna go second Bill's not going first why would I receivers is the second run to go let bill go first he could have no steo you can pick whatever you want you can pick any of these spots you want yeah I'm saying but like oh I could okay okay you can pick anything you want I'm just gonna slot them in I'm just gonna slot I'll go first yeah I'll go first so it's steo you could pick you can pick all three receivers off the bat steo you just ignore the offensive line ignore everybody else and do whatever you got to do but again we go back and forth steo then build and steo then Bill and so on until we have a full roster here um and I will go ahead and make the executive decision backup quarterback is a draftable position so we'll have we should have 11 rounds here before we all before it was all said and done okay you guys understand the rules yes it's very simple it's just picking players and we're just rolling through this thing but all right first pick of the Miami Hurricanes offensive depth chart Fantasy Draft uh it's a real Sleek name bill came up with goes to steo steo who' you like just seen my boy last night getting some work in on the field he's going crazy this year first pick gotta be X all right stea why why X first I mean anybody watching this show right now understands why X first he's the best playmaker we have on the team he's gonna be not just open he's getting faster and faster uh he's our most sure-handed Target his route running is ridiculous teams double team him and he still gets the ball it's just because of how good he is with his leverage and routes it's it's stupid and Jobe George gets those 101s and Kobe young were getting those one-on ones because the safety was sitting on the hash because you got bracket play with uh rrea underneath that's going to help uh you know the tight ends have a little bit more you know involvement in the offense in the middle if everybody's keyed in on X and then guys on the outside so offense is going to go around number seven this year I think he'll be it's not a surprise that you know he's probably cam Ward's most trusted Target and you know his number one target it's coming out of the spring and in the spring game you saw it so not really a surprise fair enough little one here so we know when Rony was drafted in there you go all right Bill I'm that boy I drafted him round one first overall first overall don't say the whole thing about cam was already off the board but first overall all right Bill any thoughts on rreo are you looking to take him in your spot um I had him number two on my big board so I feel steo reached a little bit now's got magnets on his up on the fridge next to there there is there is a big board in place can't really see it but there is a big board that boy just Tod M shade [Laughter] me but no I mean you get your you get your weapon for cam Ward totally understandable number one pick all right Bill you're up uh with the second pick I'm going to protect my franchise quarterback at left tackle with Jaylen Rivers oh interesting interesting why Jaylen rivers of all the offensive line you could have taken why jayen well I think it's more of a what I believe he is the most talented lineman we have most consistent um and I also feel like we don't have another true left tackle on the board um so I think value meets need at this position at this point in the draft um so I'm very happy with my pick all right fair enough steo any thoughts on Bill's pick yeah it's a smart move I would have went there if I didn't have to make another pick coming up uh I don't go through common GM like Bill sounds like a GM right now I'm not a GM I'm going to Kobe George because I I don't care who's blocking I don't care who's blocking we're going up top uh so this is going exactly how I think it's gonna go yeah it's it's I had to get my br guys in there you know obviously I have a couple more coming in and yeah everything Bill said about jayen rivers is correct I do think he's our true left tackle so once he picked them I have nothing to fear now I'm not gonna get that guy uh so I'm G have a whole of left tackle so I'm cool with that I'll just you know throw some screens to jacobe he's great yards after the catch don't have to really block much just throw it to him we'll throw screens all day to X and jacobe we'll be fine that's right well there's plenty of work to do there's plenty of plenty of guys out there you build in we could build an offensive line here we have some guys it may not be a prototypical like left tackle right tackle so on but there's still some dudes there unless bill just goes offensive line crazy here which it looks like he very well might got uh what are we with the with the fourth pick um we're gonna go with thez Cooper at Right Guard all again again value meets need um we don't really have another proven guard on the roster um so I believe I fill two positions that will be a considerable gap between what steo places there it's cold blooded I'll make it legit because you're you're going after it so there we go making it official I won't maybe delineate steo quite yet but but we're good for right now andz Cooper off the board steo that's two offensive linemen two offensive linemen you got two receivers offensive line out WI on 11 team but uh yeah now at this point now that two of our best players are off the board especially in the O Lin room I'm G have to hit Francis up at right tackle because I gotta I gotta sh up at least that side of the line now that's something I was thinking I thought Bill might go that earlier because of you know the potential and all that but but I think that's a pick for steo that solidifies at least a piece of it now we go and Francis is great at getting ahead on those screens so while we can't block anybody else and we throw the screens with theob and X we can count on 61 and get out ahead right we we can solid we know we're running screens we have guaranteed our screen game is going to be legit like if we can't do anything else we'll be screening the hell out of everybody we gota see now when we do the defense we got to see what kind of speed that Bill gets on defense because if he doesn't have speed on that defense you have no one to catch up did you don't it don't matter who he got a DB you better pick the dline all Bill I'm at a I'm at a Crossroads here I was really hoping steo was gonna blow it and not take Francis um spot he was looking at um so I I think it's time to go get my my quarterback and number one option before steo triples up on receiver I'm going to take uh Sam Brown interesting as your receiver one got Sam Brown by Sam Brown here I'm you know downfield threat I believe he will be um our third receiver this year um you know with the potential to be right up there with his productivity um you know with X and jacobe um you I think the three of them are gonna form a along along with you know Horton who um you know may maybe coming up next year um but um again you know size speed downfield threat produ production um you know could could potentially be a number one fair enough like I very well could have been number one at Houston I he kind of was kind of wasn't he and uh Matthew golden who went to Texas they were both kind of like one a 1B at times um but definitely a guy that has that potential and stea were you considering drafting Sam Brown with that last pick well did it float through your head to just like solidify get like Miami's top three receivers just get my top three receivers and close it out from there n i I was definitely going to draft Horton before I draft Brown I like Horton I'm not going to size him um take next if you don't that's cool but uh that's fine you could actually grab Horton because you're gonna need him and I'm gonna need to get Cam Ward the ball every single play and the person whose job is that is Zack Carpenter so I'm gonna take a center here all right look at steo now steo starting to feel that GM blood running through his veins here we go sry there'll be more I thought I mess with Horton my bad so much that they ain't gonna be enough Targets on this side so we gonna send him over to Bills team so he can eat you feel me pick ste's got two linemen down now Bill maybe looking for weapons here looking at the big board here um you know some position versa um my next pick I'm going to take Samson okola and you can just put him in as just general o line I don't know if he's going to be guard or right tackle at this point but like his position versatility um he gives me you know options as we continue down this draft um so I like it I like the potential there we goola big potential pick big swing from Bill haven't seen a ton obviously but but you know with a potential guy there and having such solid players around him it could be that could make a move it could be a good move there steo what you got well I I like the pick there and then uh I've been waiting to sprinkle this in I was goingon to hit another position uh but I got something you know chilling on so I'm gonna go ahead and just pull the trigger now because I don't think he needs anybody to block for him he could play one verse 11 I'm gonna go Damien Martinez and go ahead and just select that real quick now I I'm honestly surprised I thought bill was gonna go Damen Martinez last round before I thought he about to pick him right there I thought that was going to be the the Martinez spot because he's kind of a guy that you know he's he's ready he's stepping he's the guy at the spot you know with pedigree with performance with production I was figuring bill would go that way to like solidify like I honestly that was gonna take him before Sam Brown and just get him like that number one playmaker there on the running game but uh slid a little bit and I think steo right there take advantage of Bill maybe making a mistake in judgment maybe Bill's Big Board little dicey and I honestly I think I think Bill was arrogant because he was like there's no way steo taking a running back who's not from Broward County I think Bill was playing that he probably just put Damen Martinez way down at the bottom because they're like no steo is predictable and here's steo playing the long game like a true GM Muhammad Hussein you're absolutely right absolutely right Muhammad Hussein Bill slept on it bill Le bills like a fullon Jaguar fan like right there in his prime just sleeping through this thing thinking it I can promise you if you put negative Bill stuff in the chat while we're doing this I'm gonna put it on the screen I promise you with with with the offensive line that I'm currently building um the gap between Martinez and Fletcher um I think will be minimized by that um but again I I was going to be looking at Martinez coming up here in the next probably two picks um but you know it's a good pick by steo he's got a lot of weapons um maybe not some people to block for him we'll see I believe coach mirall coach Mario so whoever I get we scor all right here we go Bill what do you got all right uh let's see here we're gonna go even Bill's uncertainty right now Bill's AR even sure like what like we' be you gota be moving Bill Ste knew exactly what he was doing I think the pick is in Bill know what he got oh just dragging it out for the for TV the pick is in um I'm gonna go with if I have Samson say Samson left guard I'm gonna go with Matt McCoy line that was my next pick mat as another kind of like we'll see where he fits in kind of spot I assume um you can you can do Samson at left guard Matt McCoy at right tackle slide him over I leaving that Center spot open for the legendary I got I got there's a surprise coming with that one yeah take a Long Snapper there all right Bill Matt McCoy um why why Matt McCoy here because there were some I mean if talking about relatively unproven lineman there was some couple guys you could have picked from why McCoy yeah I think it was between him and um Mark H Bell and I'm approaching this with you know specific line spots in place but um you know he's a guy that you know it's played um you know in kind of being that that sixth man um you know and selecting him um you know allows Samson to you know play left guard him play right tackle um you know and out outside of um you know Francis I feel like I have you know in terms of just overall rank um four out of the best five lineman on the team right now very interesting very interesting all right stea we see Lyman flying off the board are you getting nervous yet nah I'm ready to put my pick in what do you got steo Isaiah Horton there he is there he is big deciding not to go with Horton leaving him for steo who couldn't wait to make the pick like literally pushing people down up to the podium to get this pick in let's go late I mean the 11th 11th guy right now just got that call what's funny is that steo could actually call these guys and just annoy them one by one be like he fam just went number one overall hi this is steo from Team steo not not to say it like that but there's a coach on the staff that told X family that he going for 1500 this year when I heard his dad tell me that yesterday I was loving it oh so I mean that's the type of expectation of the Season he's hoping to have so that whole receiver room should eat speaking of expectations I mean for to be Horton had to for Horton to be the fourth receiver picked and the 11th Guy picked like that's it seems late for a guy that a lot of people are really optimistic about you know having that kind of breakout season because like you said we did see Kobe young turned like a year being across from or like away from Restrepo into a huge year and he got to went to transfer to Georgia and probably got a lot of n money and all that like who's to say Horton wouldn't I me Horton had higher pedigree coming out of high school like stea could Horton have a similar season to what Kobe young did last year yeah the reason why I'm not penciling with Sam Brown is you know because I think Isaiah Hort could produce if he had that much opportunities because he's only thing he's done with with the opportuni he has has had is produced with them I've never had a oh my God Horton get him out of their moment or why is Horton in there bro Horton get in there he do his job he blocks well he catches the football he's gotten faster he's gotten quicker suddenness is there already had strong hands and nice hands when he came in great catch radius obviously 6'4 really good athlet just in general I don't see why not why he can't have a at least Kobe young even though Kobe young got missed a ton just like all our receivers last year when we had some Chey quarterback play to say the least um you know Isaiah Horton could put up a 500 plus yard season in my opinion if he gets the opportunity he's gonna ball very reasonable very reasonable why he on my team Bill about Bill about to throw it out there he about to be running 12 set if I could I would but real quick before make to make a note steo if you did want to go something different with that with that offensive style if you wanted to go fourth receiver just go four wide and line it up and run like you are able to do that so I can change tight Ender receiver really quick so yeah don't worry I'm not gonna tip my hand just saying it's it's on the table it's on the table but you want to avoid that um I was you heavily considering Riley Williams for his you know receiving capabilities but um I think Elijah loften gives his team a little bit of a a different feel coning what the pieces are around him very interesting very interesting choice there by Honestly by both of you guys to go without your go with tight ends that fit what you're doing versus you know the guy that you'd say arguably the the most talented guys out there but all right that brings us back to steo for his penultimate pick here he's got two left remember we have the other position still floating out there yeah so I'm I'm in a thing between obviously trip and Lou Chris the ball but I'm also I've been looking at I'm I'm I just tapped in see you know what's Riley Williams weighing at don't know if we're doing kicks or returning anything in this you know draft but he's definitely a candidate at K return for me that boy is sliding that's that's about as good that's about as good as we're GNA make that you're absolutely right Sean sometimes you got to make man's decisions ste's out here making a man's decision he's he's going up to listed son I know you've been tight ahead for JoJo Trader you know five star true freshman coming in can you know do it all Sam Brown productive guy another guy big tall fast can get downfield and then mixing in a kind of your Swiss Army knife and Elijah Lofton you line them up in the back field you can line them up at HB tight end put them split them out wide there's a lot of options for cam Ward um and I can do what I want on offense because I have the offensive line to do that whether we want to run the ball air it out take shots you know work the intermediate game uh we can we can do it all look at that I I take the challenge as a play caller I could work around see we might we got man Ryan rodri R woke up today and was ready to lead this steeve o line man I know it I felt this why I picked him I'm these boys is ready you here or there um and I'll get you guys think about it for a second but what I thought of as it was going number one the the amount of like Bill said traits to with receiver like we have a lot of receivers that have Elite traits and maybe it's more that you kind of realize there's dude after dude after dude after dude like like nikar wasn't drafted like like manay car would be a guy that any team and across the country would love to have in their team deep right because he's that kind of that kind of player would love to have it a tight end spot knowing we have four guys that do different things that could that could potentially fill a lot of roles depending on what kind of offense we're running given week that's exciting and even on the offensive line there's there's some dudes there past that first five that if they're not starting they're they have potential to be versatile threats there so those things those three things specifically stood out to me Bill anything else stand out to you um yeah I mean the you know the depth that wide receiver even though you know some of those guys you know haven't um you know shown Pro uh production yet but you think even just you know the top four guys with you know X George Sam Brown Horton um you all those guys have made plays you know at the Collegiate level um you know then a guy like Ray Ray we've seen that those flashes a burst and then you know JoJo nikar coming in with you know all the athleticism um you know to get on the field early um and then you know we're kind of joking around about offensive line but you know there is some depth there um yeah I don't think it's exactly where the coaching staff wants it to be um but I think we'll get there you know in the next year too um you know with some further development um you know a little bit more you know maturity um you know as they develop within this program you're you're on mute I was blowing my nose Steve what stand out to you as far as how this thing went no not really I was debating on whether I really wanted to draft like I was uh a GM and trying to put in better like the most analytical team but you know sometimes I get tired not tired of being all time and just a day just one day I figured that out it's amazing how how quick skills could come to be not so much for Bill but Bill final thoughts for the people fun show tonight uh glad I came up with the idea to do this draft uh I mean no it's fun it'll you know keep it going and um I think we'll probably do maybe do the all time mock draft which I know Chris we've been trying to do that for years four years probably maybe we'll you know bring in some extra people uh maybe have like three or four person draft but yeah just you know if you have any ideas for you know the dog days of summer throw them in the chat and we'll make it work because that's what we do I think it's funny that bill probably said to himself oh man when we get to the final dos of people I'm gonna say I'm gonna say it was my idea to video dra and everyone's think that's so funny and like big big response from the chat there about how funny it was uh I'm glad you think I actually put thought into my hopefully over the next week we do on a serious note get some you know good news from via the portal uh if not you know we'll move on to other targets but hopefully we hear that we'll definitely be looking to they're supposed to change the rule like oh grad transfers would have had been in now or there's something something going on with grad transfers so we'll see if if anybody's able to you know exit the program or you know medical no one knows what's going on with Zion hopefully the best case scenario is he's playing and he he could help us out uh you know next year so before people want to say oh you know medically retire him and you know get that scholarship open if he's able to play he I would have drafted him I would I would not have McCormack at tackle right now if Z was was healthy so uh let's just keep a lookout see you know people who leave and then maybe potential last one or two incoming additions uh the roster is going to be set it's going to be set within the next week or two because people have to enroll in the University of Miami I believe uh so they have to be ready for classes so we're GNA find out exactly the 85 were trotting out there you know via any you know excruciating circumstances or injuries in Fall Camp uh you know they we're going to find out who the 85 were bring up there to Gainesville it feels like I I feel like for whatever reason I feel like we're not it's not one more it feels like there's two out there I don't know why just kind of have a gut feeling like there's there's another dude out there that I think they think believe can help us and and I don't think that we're quite at the end of guys who may not be on this roster come fall I don't know why I feel that way just kind of seems like there's more cooking and usually when you think you got Mario figured out with what his plan is then there's there's always like a little extra twist to it so if everyone's looking at get this Edge and then be done with it maybe one more
