talking about Yankees Mets and jets plus updated mlb standings

welcome to Sports Talk New York yes this is my brand new podcast like I said it will be on YouTube and Spotify I'm going to do YouTube videos and I'm going to be doing um on Spotify for audio whenever I get the chance I'll flip back and forth uh look for it on YouTube on Sports Talk New York just look up Sports Talk New York and you will find it and on Sports Talk New York it's all about New York Yankees Mets Rangers Giants Jets it doesn't matter it is all about New York and even the hockey teams yeah the Rangers and the Jersey teams and because I'm doing all in New York state it is all New York so Buffalo the two Buffalo teams too all right so let's get right to it today is just going to kind of be about baseball Yankees and mats a little outside baseball but outside of New York but here we go uh the Yankees we'll start with them they have been incredible absolutely incredible it is amazing what they have been I I just I don't even know how to sit there and say it they' have been amazing they're the first team to 50 wins it is a blast all right so we'll start with them with their last three games uh they won on Friday um I don't remember it score was uh I got it right here 8 to one they beat the Red Sox 8 to1 and then they lost the next two Saturday they lost 8 to four and then Sunday they just got pounded on nine to3 by Boston Boston just ran and ran and stole basee and stole base and broke a record of nine stolen bases that's just how it was uh let's see then you had so you had that series um the good news is Garrett Cole is officially coming back um so that's fun uh can't wait for that he starts tomorrow uh let's see what else do we have we have for the Yankees anyways cuz we'll get to the Mets in a second here who are doing amazing at a six game winning streak trying to get back to 500 uh let's see um also Anthony Rizzo got hurt so he's on the I so they called up their top prospect first baseman um Ben rice so he will be with the team for this big Baltimore series uh let's see um you also have something else I say about the Yankees too um you'll also have uh hold on I wrote all the stuff down I was trying to oh because Ben um because gar Cole uh came up like Cody potite got down the triaa Anthony Rizzo I said okay so that's all that all right so now let's get to the Mets Mets have been eh you know they they've been okay this year um that I kind of didn't expect a whole lot out of them um but they have in the last six games have been on an amazing six game winning streak um let's see Friday they won 2 to1 Saturday the Mets won 5 to1 Sunday the mats won 11 to6 and yesterday the mats won 14-2 uh let's see yeah um yeah I think that's about it for the Yankees and Mets as of right now Yankees kind of stumbled a little bit this past week mats kind of got hot um Mets are just trying to get back to 500 but when I get to the standings here cuz I'm going to do the standings in a minute you'll see that they're still right there in the Wild Card race um a lot of people believe they should just sell sell sell uh but we will see um we'll see how that goes all right uh let's see you've got let's see okay okay we got some injuries here um obviously I told you about the Yankees injuries now outside of New York uh you've got um mookie bets who's going to be out for another for six to eight weeks with uh injury I don't remember what it was I didn't write it down and Yamamoto is out for a few weeks with an injury so they both the Dodgers just lost two of their probably best players uh let's see here um all right so let's get to the standings that's pretty much what I have left um obviously judge is leading the league in home runs at 26 gunar Henderson he's with Baltimore he's got 20 and then you've got uh stto who I believe is third with 18 no no sorry Marcel Ozona with 19 and then soda with 18 all right so you got the all right so let's go to the standings and then we'll do the Wild Card Standings too alast I didn't write the the game the wins and losses I just wrote what what place they're in uh you've got Yankees in first place with 50 wins Baltimore you've got them in second place Boston in third Toronto in fourth T Bay in fifth AL Central Cleveland Kansas City Minnesota uh Detroit white socks West Seattle Houston Texas Angels Oakland and with the wild card for the American League you've got Baltimore KC Minnesota in the three Wild Card spots and then Boston two games back Toronto six games back Detroit six games back Tampa Bay six games back Houston seven games back and Texas seven games back um so that's the American League then you've got um in the National League East Philly Atlanta Washington Mets Miami NL Central Milwaukee St Louis pit Cincinnati Chicago uh you've got NL West you've got the Dodgers San France San Diego Arizona and Colorado and in the NL Wild Card which ISO is wild you've got Atlanta St Louis sanan Francisco and the three spots but Washington is technically there too because they're tied so that's going to be pretty interesting too but then you got San Diego Half game back Arizona half game back Pittsburgh Half game back Matts one game back Cincinnati game and a half and the cubs too so it's a very very wild NL Wild Card race it's going to be a lot of fun man a lot of fun but all right that's a lot of the stuff I kind of wanted to say for this episode but like I said at the beginning of this episode this is going to be all New York okay I'm going to do a little outside lated standing update here we every week I'll do that once a week and maybe I'll do a top 10 for teams too you never know what I'll do um but other than that it's going to be Yankees mats Rangers Devils Islanders Jets Giants Knicks Brooklyn Nets and I'm probably forgetting and then the two Buffalo teams because I consider them New York even though they're Buffalo but they're still New York all right so that's like the very first episode I'm going to drop this on YouTube here um in a little while when I can get a chance yeah all I'm here is to talk New York doesn't matter what sport I'm going to talk it whatever is the hot subject of the day I'm going to talk it and you know what here I'm going to go one more a little bit here I'm going to go to the Jets I I really the Jets you know are I I think they're going to be the second best team in the AFC East if not the best I think they're going to rebound but Aaron Rodgers needs to get his head in the game okay he needed to be there for the mandatory mini camp whatever okay I know he was there for some of the other stuff but he needs to be there he needs to sit there and be with his team and show them that he is all about New York so please Aaron Rogers you're a great quarterback probably one of the greatest wake up get with your team and make sure you don't make any more of these mistakes because you of all people know you need to be there you've got to create chemistry you've got to create all the stuff and yeah it's it's just yeah it's just amazing all right so uh yeah I got a little jet talk in there for a second I wanted to kind of say that real quick but uh yeah this is Sports Talk New York I'm your
