reported today that um myara sulaman mashara Arafat Jer Amir and whum aan kazm were the victims of the Israeli strike in the town of zabid uh this is the Israel Israeli militaries conducted a drone strike near the West Bank City of J janin Janine uh killing three pales Ians uh this is a three part of the three-day uh aggression in the occupied territory of West Bank during the attack the report added an Israeli drone fired missiles at uh the three men after they exited their vehicle which had already been struck by heavy gun fire and later caught fire um the palest the Palestine red crescent Society said that the occupation forces prevent and prevented ambulances from reaching the scene meanwhile the Israeli Army claimed that it had targeted a cell of Palestinian guns in the Zab day drone strike it further issued a joint statement with the Israeli police and shinb spy agency alleging that kazm was the commander of hamas's military Wing ininin uh in the early hours Wednesday the Israeli Army conducted its biggest operation dubbed camps of summer in the West Bank in over 20 years deploying hundreds of troops and air strikes on Janine uh turm and tubis which are major centers of pal inan resistance against the usurping entity at least 20 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli raids and Strikes in several towns with many more sustained injuries 11 of them were killed in Chine uh five in tulk arm and four and two B wa Waffa reported citing medical sources uh but they're not the only ones that uh Israel was going after um hello why are we not doing this today there we go uh uh wfp announced uh Wednesday that it it's pausing the movement of its employees in Gaza until further notice after a wfp team came under Fire on the evening of uh August 27th I believe that's Tuesday a few meters from an Israeli checkpoint at the W Gaza Bridge un organization said its team was returning from the M Shalom border crossing with two armored vehicles after escorting trucks carrying humanitarian Aid towards Central Gaza uh despite being clearly marked and receiving multiple clearances by Israeli authorities to approach the vehicle was directly struck by gunfire as it was moving towards an IDF checkpoint uh it's like a [ __ ] up version of Simon Says in Israel right uh they'll tell you to go someplace and then they'll uh they'll bomb that place but then they'll say oh yeah sure it's fine come on but uh you didn't say Simon says so boom boom boom it Su stay at least 10 bullets five of the five on the driver's side two on the passenger side three on other parts of the vehicle none of the employees on board were physically harmed uh the wfp statement added it notes that this is not the first time a wfp uh has been shot at by Israeli forces the Israeli Army did not immediately respond to qu requests for comment wow uh I wonder why huh uh meanwhile Aid workers have been killed in Gaz in Israel an Israeli strike on humanitarian Convoy this is uh from Middle East eye there's a convoy there H in is Israeli air strike hit a uh humanitarian Aid Convoy Laden with medical supplies and fuel for an Emira run Hospital in Rafa killing several workers and this happened after that attack on the UN uh truck uh vehicle Israeli forces claimed the attack targeted armed asants well they armed with with needles full of medicine who were attempting to hijack the Convoy uh which was organized by the US charity anera but anera said that several employees of the transportation company he had worked with had been killed in the attack all the fatalities were in the vehicle leading uh the Convoy which was the target of the attack according to unconfirmed reports five people were killed in the strike and there reported that the Convoy had been approved by Israeli online there's another theme in the UK good old uh Kier starmer and his uh his uh Jack booted SS the police came to her house just before 7:30 a.m. 12 of them in total some of them in plain clothes from the counter terrorism police they said she was under arrest for Content that she had posted online her house is was being raided and they have seized all her electronic devices Jack Wilkinson uh said by social media account suppressed news and that's it right there the pro genocide UK regime has arrested uh Mena uncensor roving reporter and human rights activist Sarah Wilkinson for supporting non-criminal hate incidents in a move designed to tackle uh Islam anti-semitic and islamophobic abuse the times reported on Monday Home Secretary IET Cooper is looking into reversing reforms made by the conservative government which introduced a new threshold for when police should record the personal information of someone over a hate incident which did not constitute a crime swell Braverman the former conservative Home Secretary issued guidance stating that incidents should only be recorded when clearly motivated by intentional hostility and when there was a real risk of escalation causing significant harm or criminal offense according to the report in the times Cooper uh is concerned that the new guidance is making it difficult for the police to Monitor and identify tensions and threats to Jewish and Muslim communities which may escalate to violence in recent months there has been uptick in anti-semitic and islamophobic incidents in the UK particularly since the Hamas attacks overnight the University of Virginia is Banning tents on campus uh the University of Connecticut has banned encampments and tools that amplify sound at outdoor Gatherings the University of South Florida is banning all protests after 5:00 is that a or P p.m. the University of California has banned encampments and face masks beyond the schools there are a number of pro-israel lawmakers looking to stop activists from achieving any material gains 24 state attorney generals recently sent a letter to trustees and fellows at Brown University warning them that the school could face legal ramification if it divests from Israel let me read that again uh warning them that the school could face legal ramification if it divests from Israel Brown University students established an encampment on campus in April but signed an agreement to end it in exchange for a meeting with officials consideration of uh a thear divest proposal not sure what that means a vote on divestment and a promise that no students would be retaliated against over their activism uh schools and lawmakers have adopted an escalatory approach to the incoming protests in an alleged attempt to keep campuses Council on American Islamic relations care uh shows that the majority of Muslim American voters have decided against voting for either Republic Republican candidate Donald Trump or the Democratic candidate kamla Harris 29% of those Muslim voters ped said they were planning to cast their votes for Stein leader of the green party was made ending Israel's war on Gaza and its occupation of the with the lowest median work worker pay poured more than half a trillion dollars into stock BuyBacks over the past 5 years further enriching wealthy Executives and shareholders while ordinary employees struggle to make ends meet well here's trending uh these these stories all have a theme don't they the uh Institute for policy studies IPS a progressive think tank that has been tracking executive compensation and stock buyback trends for decades found found in its 30th annual executive excess report that the 100 S&P 500 companies that pay their median workers the least spent 522 billion on share repurchases between 2019 and 2023 that list of Corporations which IPS dubs the low wage 100 includes Lowe's and The Usual Suspects Lowe's Home Depot and Walmart Lowe's LED the low wage 100 share buyback charge IPS found spending 42.6 billion an amount large enough to have given each of the firms 285,000 Global employees an annual $ 29,8 bonus for five years Home Depot's buyback spree was slightly smaller than Lowe's at 37.2 billion between 2019 and 2023 the low wage companies runaway spending on stock BuyBacks which serve to artificially inflate stock prices thereby pumping up executive pay packages is that's the scam they take this m and especially with these bailouts too same thing happens with these bailouts all that money it doesn't go back into the company goes into wage 100 showing that the companies on average pay their CE CEOs 538 times more than their median employees the average CEO of a low-wage 100 company receives 14.7 million in total compensation in 2023 according to IPS while the median workers at those corporations receive an average of $345 22 for the year uh Ross stores shows both the lowest median worker wage and the widest pay Gap IPS found in 2023 Ross CEO Barbara rentler hauled in 18.1 million 2100 times as much as the 8,618 pay that went to her firm's median contemplated employee a part-time store associate um the new analysis was Biden climate effort here's this person putting solar panels on his roof there uh or putting it on somebody's roof upper income homeowners are scooping up billions of dollars in tax credits for making their residences more energy efficient while the poor are getting almost nothing under the same Biden Administration effort shocking I know that's according to an analysis by politicos news of a tax credit program that was expanded under President Joe Biden and is designed to Spur homeowners to buy solar panels in insulation materials and other items that can reduce energy bills and home emissions the analysis found that the highest earning 25% of households those with taxable incomes of 100,000 or more got 66% of the tax credits worth a total of $5.5 billion meanwhile the lowest earning 25% with taxable incomes below $225,000 received just 32 million more than $2 billion went to households earning over 20 over $200,000 a year the wealth disparity alarmed some economists and Advocates raising concerns that the credits are giving taxpayer money to hundreds of thousands of people who don't need financial help or incentives to buy equipment that saves them substantial money on energy bills kind of like giving uh giant corporations a bailout uh yeah kind of the same thing these tax credits don't increase the affordability for families making over $500,000 uh they can already afford it and they get lower energy prices said Mark wolf executive director of the national energy assistance directors associations or Nita uh tax credits reduce dollar for dooll the income tax that individuals and households owe the federal government the residential energy credits in 2023 cut income taxes and federal revenue by a total of 8.4 billion the average credit was $2,340 but climate change policy um Brookings Institute Economist sanj pic uh said the growing costs of the credits and of other federal spending on climate change could turn public opinion against programs that challenges to the rule continue in the lower courts there were no descents recorded from Wednesday's order which instructed the US court of appeals for the eth circuit which is currently considering the government's appeal to act quickly in a second order issued on Wednesday the justice has turned aside request from a different group of states to Bar the Biden Administration from implementing the 2023 rule that brief unsigned order pointed to a letter from lawyers for the states indicating that they did not need the Supreme Court to step in as long as a related order by the 8th circuit remains for maternal care hos Hospital in Gaza event Brighton removed a planned fundraiser from their platform that aimed to raise funds for a maternal care hospital in Gaza and medical equipment an activist has said Nan kiswani a Palestinian American activist and co-founder of the Palestinian lead organization without within our lifetime revealed on Twitter that the company had cancelled the event the event was for doctors against genocide a global Coalition of healthcare workers committed to stopping genocide we planned a fundraiser for doctors against genocide to provide support report to a maternal care hospital in Gaza and an ambulance and more medical equipment to the West Bank and event brigh took it down due to quote risk of harm or inciting violence kwani wrote on Twitter we can't even send medical support she said uh the activist shared a letter from the company stating that the event was not permissible as it went against its Community guidelines and terms of service Eventbrite really specifically that it could contribute to a risk of harm or inight violence the letter added that further uh violations may result in the suspension or termination of their account with the company the Palestine fundraiser event collaborates with doctors against genocide within our lifetime and healthc care workers its goal is to raise money for the Al Al maternity hospital and vulnerable rural villages in including kersa um elare and Masa Mas masaf y the event comes at a time when Israel's war has shattered gaza's Health Care system and other civilian infrastructure good job there event bright yeah uh violence there's already violence event bright it's called the genocide that's going on in Gaza Jesus Christ so yeah and you're going to see a lot of these companies doing this [ __ ] so uh if you use Eventbrite maybe you might want to use something else uh just say and finally Let's uh let's let's start off let's let's end it with some good news as I fumble over my words once again uh if you're in uh here in America uh we Dodge the boss's phone calls all the time like if if you're on your time and uh your office calls you a lot of times you're going to you're going to take your phone and look at it and go nope and put it away unless you're like a doctor or something like that you're on call that I'm not talking about that but uh but now uh Australia is starting to catch on to that too and now they actually have uh this this is wild they they you had to they had to pass a law for this so Australians allowed to dodge boss's phone calls the new regulation is part of a broader reform of labor laws aimed at improving people's work life balance this guy is like what by internet out why can't I watch porn a most Australian workers have been granted a legal right to disconnect from any work rated Communications after hours under a new law which came into Force this Monday people employed by businesses with more than 15 workers can now ignore calls emails and messages from their bosses co-workers and customers if contacted after their workday has ended small businesses have been given a one-year reprieve but will be required to comply with the law uh starting August next year while the new law does not outright ban employers from contacting staff outside working hours it gives workers an enforcable right to ignore work-related communication unless their refusal is considered unreasonable in the event of disputes employers and employees can apply to Australia's Fair Work Commission for mediation the commission would determine whether the communication request was reasonable based on the reason for contact the nature of the workers role and the compensation offered it can either order the employer to stop contacting the employee during their off time or require the worker to respond with both facing fines for failing to comply the legislation which is part of a broader reform to Australia's Fair work Act was envisioned as a means of reshaping people's work life boundaries and allow for a better balance between the two according to a center for future work survey conducted last year and average Australian worker clocked in some 5.4 hours of unpaid overtime per week or 230 hours a year this cost the country's Workforce roughly 1031 billion dollar Australian 88 billion uh Us in Lost income annually yeah so the boss calls you in Australia you tell them go stick it up their ass they we do that here in America too it's like they try they try to call you after hours here too and you're like well I sent you this email and you didn't respond to it quickly there I can't remember who does it but there are these shorts these YouTube shorts these little stick figures in the office and it's basically the boss coming in asking some unreasonable [ __ ] and the uh the employees just sitting there just calling them out like no you can't do that I'm they like one of them said I sent you an email last night you didn't you didn't respond to it she yeah because I was uh uh I was off work I'm not working right and uh you know these are the same companies that can fire you with no notice and uh you know and expect you to put in a two weeks notice uh so good on the Australians there it's it's a little fun happy for them and a little fun happy for us so I uh I kind of ran through all these
