EA College Football Simulations Game 6 Western Michigan @Wisconsin (8/30/24 Prediction)

welcome to Camp Randle Stadium where these fans have been getting prepared to cheer on a whole pack of badgers since early in the morning maybe you need a little caffeine or maybe the sheer energy of this matchup will keep you wide awake as we know anything can happen when you kickoff after dark as we'll see a squad from the back the Western Michigan Broncos taking on a team from the Big 10 the Wisconsin Badgers for EA Sports college football I'm Reese Davis joined here in the booth as always by David poock and Jesse Palmer guys let's te this one [Music] up the Badgers will get us started with the opening kickoff he'll bring it back from inside his SP really disciplined job by the coverage unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 so the Western Michigan Broncos offense takes the field for the first time today and there he is when you have a guy like this you don't mind building your attack around the running game guys and he's a grown man there's no doubt about it this offense runs through him everybody gets their emotion and everything is built on him and around him and everybody knows this guy's going to touch the football and still defenses can't stop him he can run through tackles and make big things things happen this crowd full throat splitting the eard drums and letting him know it's going to be a long day looking downfield it's wolf he hurls one deep down the left side and that's going to be incomplete going for broke on second down but third Down's coming up you know the saying no risk it no biscuit you want big players on offense you've got to be able to take shots they didn't hit that one but moving ahead in the second half expect this offense to keep dialing them better find the earplugs here comes the noise backing this defense on third down he's got an open man and he's down at the 41 that's a first down he threw that one with some serious Heat this senior quarterback doesn't need a lot of space to get it in there the Broncos have it with a first and 10 one running back in the back field and he has it it's going to be important this offensive line is able to get a little bit of push just got to give this guy an inch a little crease and he can make yards for it halfway there on first down it's second and five quarterback Quick Pass to the receiver runs through a tackle he's run out of bounds but a big play on that one and it'll be a first down this offense has a lot of different ways they can attack you and you're going to see the entire Playbook at work in this game throwing it running it and getting guys the ball out on the perimeter great job and the BR Unos are moving quickly down the field to the ground with the back and just wedges it ahead a bit before he's brought down and offenses want to continue to feature the Run they want balance even if it's not super successful you can take it little bit at a time just to keep that defense honest after picking up a couple at second and eight going to run it it's Buckley they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one well good call by the defense there they dialed up Blitz into that running play and the linebacker able to make a stop here comes the seventh play of this opening drive they've moved it well but now facing third down looking to throw it's wolf throws to the wide out just masterful working that sideline and getting the tow down for the catch wow and what a great job by that quarterback finding his open receiver on third down you know guys one of the most telling stats at the end of the game is third down conversion percentage if you're a great third down team it's invaluable to your offensive success and that's why teams drill third down so much in practice working in way and keeping those legs moving picks up five down to the 14 I like this guy as a running back because he could run between the tackles and he can also go outside he can really do it all going to work in the Red Zone they can pick up the first down without getting it into the end zone they'll go right back to him pushes ahead for a pickup of one down to the 13 [Music] they'd love to pick up this third down and get a fresh set with first and goal out of the shotgun on third down he's got it in the end zone touchdown Western Michigan you want to talk about a great way to start the game and set the tone early early it's so nice to have a quarterback just get himself into the game and get himself established you make a couple throws you lead your offense down the field you score right off the bat could not have been a better start for that QB lining up to tack one more onto that lead and the pat makes it 7 nothing so it's an 80 yd drive and they finish it by firing one in from the 13 for the score lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown Drive he'll start the return inside to spot he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 the Badgers offense will try to get something started with their first possession and the spotlight in this game will undoubtedly be on these star wide receivers David I mean they're featured Reese like these guys are going to touch the football a lot these offenses are built to get them the football to make plays we're in for a few catches today pal you sure are when you can get open like these guys C you have the speed to take the top off of the defense you know you're going to see a lot of explosive plays today offense gets set for second down looking downfield it's Van Dyk finds his Target down the middle and it is well blocked as they pick up enough for a first down nice completion here to this wide receiver and you're going to see this receiver line up in different spots all over the field all game long defense has got to keep their eye on where this guy is because they know he's a big part of this offensive success and they'll line up from the 31 on first down they go to the ground shows him the stiff arm found a little space and he's got four to the 35 small gain I know but again the defense knows he's going to run the football he's willing to run the football not just drop back and pass make him on to the Run game you got to do a lot of this after the productive first down play at second and six they'll give it to the back good pick up on the ground and they'll Mark him down at the 39 I think that was an example of the offensive coordinator trying to help out his quarterback he's trying to keep these third Downs manageable you know you throw the ball on second down and it's incomplete now you've set up third and long and now you're set up to fil third down after the run the back goes in motion quarterback touch pass on the Jet Sweep breaks the tackle there to make the stop but they use the back in the passing game and pick up the first down hard earned yards man you got to get these first downs any way you can and sometimes it's not going to be easy you can't just do it conventionally handing it off this offense is going to have to be creative football's a game of inches and you just got to find the angles to give yourself an advantage that creative play call right there really helped them out they'll run it from the gun creating some space getting just enough good blocking and they've got it up to the 47 yd line I know the passing game sells the passing game is exciting but it's not exciting to get five or six yards a pop on the ground but it will be very successful halfway there on first down it's second and five the give on the inside and he won't quite get there but boy after that pick up just a few inches to go for the first an array of possibilities here listen I know that's not a huge game but those run plays add up they make you tackle the back every single play physically you have to get some guy on the ground it takes its toll throughout a fourth quarter game on Third and short they'll ride the running back here and excellent Vision to find Running Room there and make a really good pickup before the defense put have stop to it I think it's really important for this offense they get this guy going early in the game and they're doing a nice job of that right now remember it's the kind of running back who gets better as the game goes on that's a really good omen for this offense considering his success now early the give to the right oh he got loose and chunk plays are the name of the game and they get one here before the defense finally makes the stop well the defense knew coming into this one Rees that this team was going to try to use their speed and take advantage of it and they did right there nice gain on the Run play to the right B PL of Running Room in that defense they've got to find a way to get there make the tackle in the open field yeah and they got to do a good job with their eyes finding the football and they've got to get a lot of bodies to this guy cuz he is fast can't make the grab as he was going for six right there perfect timing got there right when the ball got there didn't get there a little bit early saing the touchdown nice timing by that Defender after the missfire it's second and 10 the run from the shotgun nice move to keep running he's there to make the stop but not before he sets up this offense first and goal from the seven you ain't getting by all these guys right up the middle unless you're offensive line and you're tight end and everybody is putting in the work up front committing to blocking the running back does a great job finding the hole exploding through how about that nice big huge game if on the OC let's call that one again knocked down after a gain of one they'll mark it at the six offense trying to pay it off on second and goal the run up the middle trying to steamroll his way in and he'll step into the end zone touchdown Badger and they just keep feeding it to their Workhorse back to open this game great job in the open field he's got tremendous Vision he can make people miss you saw all of that on display here in the opening drive P unit on the field and it's perfect precise Relentless execution on that 13pl scoring drive and he got into the house from the six to finish it after that latest answer tied things up just about set to kick it away again and he takes this from inside the five he was hoping for something a little more Dynamic that they get him on the ground at the 20 Western Michigan offense ready to go back to work now they need to put something together to answer that last score there's a lot of pressure too on this offense to have to ex at a high level they've got to score points stat but they can't go too fast cuz their defense right now is tied and I think that's the difficulty being a play call like I have to balance all of those things my defense is a little bit tired I can't put on the field but I got to be aggressive because this is a back and forth type game so a lot to process and think about using his legs it's Buckley tackled after picking up the first down well there we go we finally see some life in this offense running the football nice game to pick up the first down got to get more of that going moving forward cuz they have not run it well it's first and 10 from the 31 quick pass on the Fly motion across the 45 and he was Off to the Races and he gets it to the 45 in these touch passes it's so hard because there's always action off of it right if I fake this pass and I can run it up the gut or I can throw it and I just spread me out and make me defend so many things and you could tell they got on the edge quickly got the big first down the Broncos have it with a first and 10 pulls and throws off the RPO and he broke one tackle on the way to a solid pick up there looks as if we have an injury on that last play and we'll take a break to check him out let's see what they've got on second down they'll leave it with him and the Broncos have enough for the first down I love when players understand situations and they understand where the first down marker is and they understand where I got to get to a lot of people you'll see run north south and try to bounce out wide and make big plays sometimes it's not about making big plays sometimes it's about getting that first down to make sure I get an extra set of downs instead of trying to make those big touchdown runs they'll ride the hot hand he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple so you get stuffed on first down you had an idea of what you wanted to do on second but I'm guessing it's back to the drawing board now yeah you got to figure out who you are and what you are uh what's your next best play or what is the defense going to do if they've been aggressive okay if they've been aggressive going throw that def ball if they've been sitting back I might sneak a draw again quarterback on the keeper got the first down and more and he found plenty of Running Room on that one before the defense was finally able to get him down a lot of times as a defense you prepare for all the different athletes and trying to stop everybody and then you go oh wait I got to stop the guy with the football too and you could tell they ran the option they had a lot of things defended but they didn't stop quarterback he gets the first down and makes a big play they'll try the Run we'll give him a couple on that one second and eight coming up I think a big part of this isn't necessarily scoring a touchdown on that plate but you're just trying to get your offensive line in the rhythm of the game let those Big Fellas get lathered like picked up two yards on that last one they need eight on second down back back to throw it's wol got his man in the middle he's there to make the stop but the damage has been done as they pick up the first down on the throwing catch when you're a defense you have a choice do you play man or do you play zone they sat back in zone that might change they might change their mind and try to switch to man here shortly in the future it's first down from the 11 little touch pass to the receiver and a good solid pick up before the defense Cuts him down well and on these little push passes timing is so important you're trying to snap it right as he's getting a full head of steam when he gets the ball he's hitting the outside and David it puts the defense in such a difficult spot you immediately have to be rotating when you see that motion so everybody's got to communicate and kind of bump over that's why offenses love to run it just it makes the and he's loose and he'll take it to the house touchdown Western Michigan you want to keep your offense on the field wear down the defense put that tape on and show it in a clinic that's the way it's done and as a defense man there's nothing more demoralizing you can handle it when you give up three but to give up the touchdown at the end of a long drive you're already exhausted you've already been punked the whole way down the field man that's frustrating they'll try to add another to their lead and the pat gives him a 14-7 lead they put together an 81 yard drive and he got into the house from the sixth to finish it about to kick it off after punching it in for the [Music] touchdown here he comes from inside his own fight five didn't find any crease in that kickoff coverage and he'll be stopped at the 17 and Wisconsin has its offense back on the field after standing on the sideline and watching that long touchdown Drive they really need to put something together to give their defense a rest and that's a real thing man like you played a lot of plays you get worn out you need a chance to go decompress on the sideline get some oxygen Palmer now it's on this offense yeah this is the definition of complimentary football cuz it's a two-prong problem you've got to score points answer but you've also got to take your time and give your defense an opportunity to get their win scanning the field it's van Dy got the back over the middle that one could really put this drive into high gear as they have a first down at the 37 the Wisconsin quarterbacks always know their role sometimes they got to make the big plays from a Daryl bevel to a Russell Wilson and knowing your role means KN that you're going to hand the football up a lot and you're going to be a play action team and pick and choose your spots but it won't be an offense with Wisconsin then it's opening up it's throwing the football 30 40 times a g and they'll finally bring him down that three rips off a huge play defense is going to have their hands full trying to stop this guy they better rally to the football and get multiple hats as he is not easy to bring down and the Badgers headed quickly to the line might as well give it to him again he's all the way down to the 27 yd line and they are threatening Wisconsin's had a long list of great running backs but those Big Fellas out front that's a pipeline appro unbelievable Joe Thomas will be proud just Paving the way just physical they always can block the Run game so well and they're going to establish it every game Wisconsin plays they're going going to run the football and he'll pick up a few yards before he's dragged down and that'll be the end of the first quarter both teams wanted to establish the run and they have done exactly that in the first quarter they are lined up and ready to go and get things started here in the second got a little work done on first down now back to the line from the gun running back gets to give tackle is made after the first down offensively are you going to take four to six every play yes please sign me up for that I'm going to take that every single time great job by the offense staying patient stay true to who they are you want to run the football you want to be physical you want to establish yourself check check check the Badgers haven't with a first and 10 makes the catch and he well score touchdown Wisconsin quarterback's abilties to read the field is huge and also the anticipation the time to be able to throw the football Jesse and hit a guy in stride so he can get run after the catch and get in the end zone that was a nice job by the quarterback yeah it's critical David listen a lot of times touchdown passes aren't thrown into the end zone you got to read the coverage hit the open guy and let him do the rest getting set for the point after splits the uprights an 84 yd drive there and they finish it up with a 15yd scoring [Music] toss all tied up and just about set to kick away he'll return it nice job executing all of the assignments as they put a stop to that return at the 22 guys we're about to get another look at this Western Michigan offense coming out on first down with the play fake L one deep down the right side and that'll be incomplete they tried to hit him with a big one on on first down DB does an outstanding job here on the Deep pass locating the football no Pi able to swat it away pass incomplete second down coming up the give from the gun keeps the legs moving solid run picks up six and gets it to the 28th listen defense is about energy it's about power passion it's about physicality they need a little bit more of that get the guy on the ground you can't let guys break tackles what could have been set up in a long yard of situation now it becomes an easier situation because you couldn't get him on the ground fights his way for a couple but stops short of the marker it's fourth and one you know I really like this QB running the football because I know he's got a lot of speed but he's not the biggest guy in the world so he's not going to be able to break a lot of tackles you really got to do a good job of trying to scheme ways to get him out in more space the bronos will punt it away on fourth down slips through the line they'll put a stop to that return at about the 37 yd line the Wisconsin offense will come back on the field to jump around a bit this could be a real turning point in the game they scored a touchdown they got lofs one high and deep and he makes the catch inside the 15 and he's brought down after a huge completion what a beautiful throw and catch on this play and I love the job the receiver did tracking the ball in the air nice job of locating the throw and then hauling it in and the Badgers want to move quickly motion from the offense touch pass on the Jet Sweep and he finds Some solid space makes a nice game before the defense is able to stop him and these little touch passes man they're just the easiest completions ever for a quarterback's Palmer I bet you would have loved being able to just Flip It Forward that counts as to your completion percentage which is good and then it's all run after the catch so pretty easy for a QB you wouldn't have been the only All-American in this booth David if I were allowed to put have Push passes I was playing quarter I'll tell you that and he takes it in for the score touchdown Badgers this offense is high octane boy you just saw it not a lot of time needed for them to go all the way and score six well done [Music] ling up to add another ex point and with the extra point the score is now 21-4 quick strike offense on that three-play scoring drive and Clos the deal with a three yd touchdown run kickoff team is on the field they'll try to drive this one deep and he's coming out of the end zone he's brought down at the 16 would have been much better off to take the touch back Western Michigan has it back as they send the offense onto the field off the play fake on first down huls it in and he'll move his way forward to the first down they'll mark it at the 35 and this is what's so great about play action the Run fake sucks those linebackers up and it just creates so much more space for these receivers to operate beautiful execution by the offense they opened up this drive getting all the way out to the 35 and now it's first down again out of the shotgun they go to the ground he puts him in business across the 50 into the 46 yd line it'll be first down and a great job by the offensive line you're going to run the ball ball right at the middle you better control the line of scrimmage you can see the center the guard the tackles doing a good job getting on their guys just enough where this running back can get into the space and make the big game the offense setting up shop at the 46 first and 10 he'll do it himself he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three well they're trying to go option but the linebacker shows his open field tackling ability and also his recognition he expected the quarterback to keep it went after him was able to make the tackle for loss last play was a near disaster now dealing with second and 13 to the air it's wolf and he intercepts it trying to take it back the 20 and he's going to take it all the way touchdown Wisconsin look a lot of time left there's a little bit of distance right now put on the scoreboard there is but it's so awesome when you're a defense and you study all week about what's coming and what routes to be ready for and then you jump the route and you make the plays and you just go get in that Endzone it is so beautiful lining up to tack one more onto that lead and with the extra point they pushed the lead out a little [Music] further they're about to kick it away and the defense probably can't wait to get back out there after the pick six on the move from inside is five nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 Western Michigan offense ready to go back to work this is when the pressure can ramp up a little bit on an offense David when they start feeling the heat to an he's Off to the Races ripped off a huge chunk play on that one as he gets the first down before he steps out of bounds defense what are we doing you can't miss that guy how are you going to leave the big fell wide open you can't act like you didn't see him line up you know where he is you coming into the game he's a weapon that had to be a coverage pass that last big play one that can really jump start a drive it's first and 10 from the 47 throws for the tight end wide open downfield and they are pushing the ball down the field a big pick up on that one and the tackle is finally made I know it's early in the game but defensively after that play you know you have to tackle the catch when this guy gets the ball in his hands he is so dangerous after the fact so it's it's okay for him to make catches just got to get him to the ground quickly he dialed up a beauty on that last one it got him inside the red zone now it's first and 10 from the 16 pressure all over the quarterback and down he goes at the 24 that is a great job getting the quarterback and when you're playing in Camp Randle Stadium one of the loudest atmospheres in all of college football and your offensive line can't hear the snap count and you've got dudes like TJ watad or JJ Watt coming off the edge it's not a lot of fun it's not really fun for this quarterback right now either with this dude rushing a big play for the defense with the first down sack now Advantage d as the offense comes up on second down fires to the wide out he got it goes out of bounds just short of the goal line and they'll be set up and in great position here the magic bean is spinning out of control already over 200 ydd in the first half yeah they're being aggressive offensively throwing the football trying to take advantage of this defense on the back end they've got their quarterback right now in a Groove and he'll finish the run in the end zone touchdown Broncos if you're able to move the ball in a drive like that the most overrated stat in football would be field position a greed and I think confidence is Big right now after that last drive to be able to flip the field like that not just do it but go down and score a touchdown running and throwing for this offense now moving forward in this game that last Drive is going to pay big dividends ready to try the point after and the extra point cuts the lead to 7 28-21 a very efficient five playay scoring drive and finish to deal with the short touchdown run from the two kickoff team lining up to send this one away on the run from inside his zone five not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 and Wisconsin has its offense back on the field these two defenses have had their head spinning here in the first half and now we might even see a little more scoring with this drive it's going back and forth this is like two heavyweights just trading blows David what do this defense got to do to get a stop here I tell you what man when you're giving up points like this and you've got no momentum you got to find somebody that can make a play to create some and and listen if you're if they're scoring anyways let's be aggressive let's Blitz more let's let's make sure we're making them feel discomfort in some way shape or form couldn't find a l playing a pick up of one to the 31 and that was a nice second down run and setting up third and inches and now it's physical time right like they know you might run the football you know you probably want to run the football how can you be more physical sometimes bring some extra body some extra tight ends in go to that play that you know is your short yardage play on Third and short they keep it on the ground here the Badgers pick up the first down well it's a nice run there to keep the drive going get the first down I'll tell you guys I'm impressed so far by this offense and their ability to run it [Music] early with a first down they'll snap it from the 32 they go to the counter nowhere to run on that one he loses four on the carry you can't let the same guy beat you over and over and over again you got got to make adjustments sometimes you got to bring more guys in the Box more guys to the football and make sure he's not the one who beat you couldn't get him blocked on that last one now it's second and 14 after run run run now throw feeling some heat had to get rid of it quickly that pass is incomplete and they're probably fortunate that it wasn't knock free for a fumble he didn't have a whole lot of time to get rid of that one the defense was all over him right after the snap no wonder that thing fell in they've made third down offense a key it'll be tested on Third and long from the 28 he's looking downfield to throw didn't have much of a choice just had to throw that one away it'll be fourth down and offensively we know it's hard throwing the ball in third and long situations because the defense can play Big Zone coverages they got a lot of guys with their eyes on you so the QB had no shot there nobody open nice job not forcing it not risking a turnover just throwing it away and the Badgers line up to punt it away he'll be content with the field position making the fair catch right around the 30 yd line guys we're about to get another look at this Western Michigan offense they'll run the RPO and throw it right excellent job working through the air there finding a hole in that defense and picking up a first down the defense has their hands full trying to stop this guy in the slot they're going to have to figure something out to bracket him try and get two bodies around and maybe get some safety help as well cuz right now they do not have the answer for this guy that's the way to open a drive now they'll put it in play just shy of Midfield the RPO fire complete to the left they make the tackle at the 36 but they're in plus territory now with the 15yd pickup well we knew coming into this game this offense was going to try and get this receiver involved and get him involved early so here they are just finding an easy completion it's not a touchdown but they just want to get this guy lathered up and get him into a r he's going to pass grabbed in the middle it's Buckley and good coverage by the defense just a short gain guys out of the back field now it's not just run the ball downhill anymore you got to be versatile I got to be able to trust you in the pass game and I got to be able to throw you the football and you can do that right there I know you're going to catch it and I can depend on it that last completion sets him up on second down fast motion from the offense the aerial assault continues finds the tight end and he might be known for one pits but that was a sure and heavy tackle on the tight end a nice job by the defense there tackling the catch and smothering the tight end they know this offense is going to try to find him in the pass in game in a lot of different situations that time perfect coverage and nice job bringing the big guy down not easy to do to throw it's Wolfe release to the back all alone as he catches it finally run out of bound but he has his offense rolling with a first down and man this quarterback is on fire this drive they've run five plays offensively he's thrown it all five times he's five for five and now he has him down here on the goal line why not go six for six with a tutty and the Broncos trying to pay off the threat on first and goal slams ahead nowhere to run on that one he loses four on the carry there is nowhere to run and nowhere to hide on these situations you know the physical ground game comes into play inside the 5 yd line and they match the intensity nice job everybody flying around to the football making the tackle for a loss nice job by this defense after getting nothing done on first down second and goal from the six he makes a grab they'll Mark him down at the two the excellent execution on that throwing catch I'll say this man in college football you see a lot of bad tackling you didn't see it right there that was an awesome job first off being there at the point of attack once the tight end made the catch there was no doubt he was going down great job formt so loud it's rattling your fillings on Third and goal and good coverage and better Hands by the defender to knock it down in the End Zone Third and short in college football today you see so much more pass than you used to the offense stays aggressive and I think they stay aggressive because they know they're in field go range they got that three in their back pocket fourth and goal from the two can they finish this drive go straight ahead into the end zone he goes touchdown Western Michigan and how about this offense a big situation on Fourth and goal and you trust your running back you trust your offensive line you trust the physicality of this unit and they reward that trust and they punch it in for six [Music] on to attempt the try right down the middle a 69 yd touchdown drive and finish to deal with the short touchdown run from the [Music] two and we're all square as he's set to kick it away he'll bring it back from inside his spot nice job executing all of the assignments as they put a stop to that return at the 22 the Wisconsin offense will come back on the field to jump around a bit the give to the back and they try the middle of this defense and that is not happening great team defense on that run play everybody doing their job people winning their one-on ons D lineman staying in their gaps linebackers and DB's filling you just can't do it better they got nothing on the last play it's second and 10 dropping back it's van Dy swings it out to the flag a sixy pickup that leaves him with third and four this defense is going to have to be careful not only do they have to worry about this guy running the football but they've got to keep their eye on him when he runs routes to he is a versatile back looking for that first down on Third and short from the 28 they're trying to slow that Rush down with the draw they'll keep this drive moving by picking up the first down they have it at the 36 wow the running back there showing you his skill set is able to rip off that one for a first down the Badgers will snap it on for first and 10 right back to the well pretty good effort on that one to work his way up to the 42 and with that run he goes over a 100 yards we knew coming into this game tonight they wanted to force feed him the football they knew to win the game they were going to have to establish the running game and be the more physical team in the trenches you turn around and give this guy the ball good things generally happen and we've seen that over the course of this game that's what you expect from a senior don't give them any extra yards great tackle there oh man there's some big hitting going on in the trenches right now this defense they take a lot of pride in stopping the Run let's keep our eye on them throughout the course of the game and see if they can contain this running attack we'll take a quick break as we have reached the final two minutes of the first half this defense will try to force a fourth down on Third and short from the 45 they'll try to get the first through the air quickly complete really confident throw and catch there big pickup and they have a first down third and short and I guess the only thing they really took out of play in the shotgun was the quarterback's needak yeah and that's kind of what I like to do Reese I mean third and inches I I want to run the quarterback sneak run the football but this team fully comfortable throwing the football and you see why easy pitch easy catch first down looking to go up top on first down and he dropped it just didn't look the thing all the way in yeah and he looked like he had the opportunity to secure that obviously open over the middle of the field but you know how that works middle of the field more Defenders am I going to get whacked when I hit this thing it makes those guys think a little bit you see more drops over the middle of the field to the air it's vany this time he's got it running like he wants that football as he gets to the 37 one of the most difficult things about this slot receiver is his shiftiness and his athleticism he's very very difficult to tackle after the catch about to snap it for the eighth time on this drive and it's a third down and four off play action he lets it Fly he's got it can't quite cross the plane to get the six but they'll have the first down as a defense you don't want to give up big plays you did there but the good thing is you kept him out of the end zone now you got a chance to make a goal line stand get some momentum back get the ball back to your offense and after yet another third down conversion they've got it first and goal from the gun he makes a catch at the endzone touchdown Badger and I just love the execution by this offense late in the half man you want to take the lead you want to get that momentum on your side and they do it they finish it with the passing game I tell you what beat that passing game up keep this lead keep the momentum and keep putting up numbers they'll try to attack one more on their score and the extra point splits the uprights there up 3528 so it's an 80 yd drive it was capped off by a one yd touchdown pass just about set to kick it away he'll start the return inside his five he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 Western Michigan has back as they send the offense onto the field can't hold on he had him right down the middle and he flat dropped it let's see if they go back to the air on second down dropping back it's wolf going to take a shot it's complete a huge pickup there's a timeout called as this offense tries to find a way to draw a little closer well offensively they knew they were going to have some matchups they could take advantage of in this one and all of a sudden this quarterback has now over 300 yds passing in the game defensively David he has got them on their H and he's been showing you a little bit of everything he can throw it all over the field to all different receivers to his tight ends to his running backs really has the ability to has spread it around and now over 300 yd still some time left and he can put up even bigger numbers and heck go chase some awards man get some postseason rewards get an allamerican just put up a day I love the anticipation on that throw by the QB on the out route you got to throw it before the receiver comes out of his break nice work they'll rush to the line clock stopped for the first down they'll set the chains and wind the clock looking to move it through the air throws to the tight end it's caught downfield they'll use a timeout right before halftime maybe time for one or two more plays running out of time here in the first half they're going to have to be efficient to put some points on the board before the break to the air on first down lets it go to the end zone touchdown Broncos and they'll put that scoreboard operator to work and put six on the board yeah and the passing game comes through man and we need more of that in the second half an extra point away from tying this football game you trailed a little bit in the first half stayed calm if this passing game can continue to heat up look out in the second half [Music] he'll try to tack on one more splits those uprights right in half so that scoring Drive took only six plays and they finish it with an 11 yd touchdown Dart after that latest answer tied things up just about set to kick it away again from inside his own 10 let's see what he gets he'll be brought down and that's the final play of the half first half in the books time now to join Kevin Connors in our halftime update phyas Yan's work so far in Madison and welcome in to the halftime update the passing game for both sides has been outstanding on point unrelenting they've excelled in the short game the intermediate game and especially on the default all in all a thrilling display of offensive Firepower and these defenses have a lot to discuss here at halftime with that said let's send it back to the guys at Camp Randle the Broncos will kick it away to start the second half from inside the 10 here he comes nice job executing all of the assignments as they put a stop to that return at the 22 and Wisconsin has its offense back on the field they'll start this third quarter with a run at the 35 he's loose got a lot of running room and I wasn't sure they were going to be able to catch him they finally did but they gave up a huge play this guy is rolling over 150 yds on the day let's give a do of the Fedora to the guys who are making the Travis Fredericks of the world prow I don't know what you just said but I know that means the offensive line is blocking really really good up front making holes and when you're at Wisconsin you get featured you touch the Rock and that's why you have big days of production like today after picking up a couple it's second and eight dropping back it's van Dy didn't have much of a choice there but to get rid of it and here's a great example of living to play another day QB in the pocket nobody open throw it out of bounds coming to the line of scrimmage at the 30 it would be a long field goal but they'd love to pick up a few here on Third and long pocket starts to collapse and he just throws it away that is not what you're looking for on third down fourth down coming up nice job by the defense they're mixing up their look they're third and long in field goal range they go Zone coverage so everybody on the back end has the eye on the quarterback and they're able to break on the ball Force the incompletion they'll send out the kicker to try to salvage this drive and there is a degree of difficulty with this one a 47 y from the right hasch and it's right down the Boulevard and with that field goal they now have the lead [Music] after putting three on the board the kickoff unit ready to go and he takes this from inside the five not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 Western Michigan offense ready to go back to work and David how they would love to stick it in the end zone one more time after that last drive and once you get the defense on their heels and you back them off a little bit you get in a little bit of Rhythm it's really hard to stop Jesse and they're going to try to do it again right here and if you're this play caller you're loving what's happening right now because everything you dialed up on that last Drive ended up working out you're just looking at your play sheet everything you're picking is working let's see if they can pull it off again here looking for a man it's wolf they're bringing Heat and the pressure gets to him down goes the quarterback often times with play action you're asking the quarterback to hold on the ball a bit longer and you're asking this offensive line to hold up and pass throw a bit longer against this athletic front seven on defense it's going to be tough debb r ing as the crowd Gets behind this defense on third down from the gun wants to pass he can't make the catch had it right in his hands and it'll be fourth down well in the first half this offense was up and down the field it seemed like everything they were dialing up was working and here we are in the third quarter and there's a very rare incompletion on their own end of the field maybe that's the play the defense needs now to spark some momentum and the Broncos decide to punt it away this will be the second time they've had to kick it away bringing it back it's Anthony he was hoping for a little more running through but they're able to get him down at the 45 the Wisconsin offense will come back on the field to jump around a bit out of the gun the inside hand off to the running back and the defense doing a great job committing to the run when you commit to the run like this obviously you can give up some plays in the passing game but you got to stop run first picked up two yards on that last one they need eight on second down wide out in motion from the gun they'll give it on the inside they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one well this guy's been eating him alive all game long finally though David you wonder if the defense has been able to make some adjustments find something positive to help slow this guy down hey baby steps right that that's a tackle for a loss I know he's got over a hundo on the game but this defense is definitely going to have to be more aggressive commit more guys to stopping that bad man makes to grab on the left and he's not going to make it the defense denying him the first down one of the things I love about this defense is they just have such great awareness and they're always communicating they understood the down and distance they knew exactly what they needed to do to make the tackle to force the punt that is so well done and the Badgers will try to pin them back with the punt this will be the second time they've had to kick it away and that is textbook instructional video out of bounds right around the goal line feet in the end zone looking to fire receiver looks it in it's complete they make the stop right there good pickup it's still short of the first down and the slant is it's really a difficult route to defend against if you're a DB and man coverage especially when you have no help on the inside so if you're the offense you continue seeing that coverage you might as well keep attacking it just like that quick completion to the right really nice stop there from this senior leader this is no surprise to defenses any everybody throw those wide receiver screen who could tell they were ready for them they saw the quick game they pounced on on it got the wide receiver on the ground that's not the first time they've seen that they've got him PN deep in their own end In This Crowd trying to help keep them there looking to throw it's Wolfe it's complete to the left that's a nice pick up to give them some breathing room and they've got it out to the 27 and on that third and short I don't think he was unhappy to see that zone nope was a great job by the offense hey see where the holes in the zone are sit down you only need a little bit of yard yards on this third down get the conversion move the sticks the Broncos will line it up on First and 10 he'll keep it himself he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three really really nice football play man I got to understand option football I got to play my responsibility make sure that I know what I'm doing look at the linebacker great job doing that staying patient getting to the quarterback making the big tackle last play was a near to Master now dealing with second and 13 quick release on the RPO and he'll step across the side lines after making a good gain on that one we knew this quarterback had put up some monster numbers he is putting on a t in this game he now has over 400 yd passing Here Comes This Home crowd as the defense tries to get off the field on third down he'll pull it on the read the ball pops out picks up the ball and tries to make something of it deep breath right man you fumble that thing you cough it up you're like oh I really appreciate you brother I can't tell you how much I thank you cuz the coaches would have been all over me but Big Time Break for the offense and the Broncos are moving quickly down the field wide receiver coming across in ocean looking for a crease it's Buckley and a nyd gain on first down leaves him with second and short I know it's sexy to throw the football but if you can pound it away and get these kind of gains they will just add up wear the defense down get first downs and ultimately get some points the big pickup on first down leaves them with second and one leaves it with the back the Broncos get it past the sticks and I don't care if I get it by two by 20 by 30 by 40 I I just I just want to get the first down understanding the situation understanding where the sticks are doesn't have to be sexy but I got to make sure I get to that stick get to the first down mark from inside the 40 at the 37 it's first down he wants to throw caught in the back field it's Parker you'll take four yards on first down every time second and six I like the decision by the quarterback here just get the ball out of your hands get it to your playmaker a lot of times he'll dance and make even bigger plays than he did here but it was still a positive game this offense has a second down play grabbed behind the line it's Parker at the 20 he's got space they make the tackle but he's got a fresh set of downs and it's first and goal from the seven and as a defense how scary is it having to defend this guy he's one of the fastest players in America and you saw it on that last play it's not necessarily throwing him the ball over your head they just get it to him quickly the hard part now is running and tackling that guy not easy to do they'll use the running game on first and goal he works his way all the way down to the three and the defense is reeling and down here near the goal L you got to be physical and this guy's proven it today Palmer they've given it to him he's put it in the end zone twice already I'm going to keep featuring him so you know the defense is going to be keying him too right because he's hurting him a little bit in this game already they're going to be finding a way to try to get some penetration anticipated and the defense makes a play sacking him back at the 10 Badgers getting that pass rush from the second level like they did with a TJ wior his brother who played up front who transferred from Central Michigan they've had a long list of guys and it's funny they all kind of look the same you know athletic smart guys that are tough guys but one thing you have to have in Wisconsin for defense versatility when you play line you can't hear yourself think on Third and goal back to throw it's Wolfe coming after it and this defense goes backto back sack Jack I think you've seen two plays back to back now with poor pass protetion the front guys have to do a better job you've got a golden chance here to put a touchdown on the board in two consecutive plays they can't protect the QB and it looks as if they're going to try a field goal and the holder will put it down on the left pass a 34 yd attempt coming never a doubt and it's a deadlock here in the third quarter after the field goal all tied up to just about set to kick it away here he comes from inside his own five he was looking for more Running Room but none to be found as he stopped at the 23 and Wisconsin has its offense back on the field used the play fi now to throw got his man downfield and he's brought down at the 40 yd line and that'll be a first down that's a good looking throw and I know when we talk Wisconsin offense we're always talking about running backs but they've seen their fair share of QBs too Darren bevel back in my day Scott toine had some success and then of course Russell Wilson also this guy right now in this game he needs to get himself into a rhythm and if he gets there he's dangerous from the shotgun they'll run they'll pick up four second and Six coming well this offense came into the game knowing they wanted to be physical they wanted to establish the line of scrimmage and they're running downhill right at this defense and they're turning out positive yardage early solid pick up of four on first down it's second and six wants to throw it's vanite oh and it's picked off threw it right into the teeth of double coverage God room on the return touchdown Western Michigan and this defense coming up with points of their own what an interception return what a play by this defense with the pick six and how about the defender exactly what you're supposed to do breaks on the football makes the interception everybody on defense we turn to offense go lay some blocks so my guy can get it and take it back to the house lining up for the Pat and the extra point is true and they're on top by seven they'll kick it off and send that defense right back out there to try to score again after the pick six from inside his own 10 he'll try to help out their field position couldn't find a way to create that broken field as he stopped at the 25 the Wisconsin offense will come back on the field to jump around a bit the big thing now don't get rattled by that last pick six David N it was a big mistake uh obviously the defense took advantage of it but you got to put it behind you Jesse I'm sure you know a thing or two about throwing a pick six and and how a rebound I believe I've only thrown one in my life but yes I do because of that singular instance I'll say this you can't let that play Beat you twice you got to go out not try to get it all back here in one play Just execute the offense he wants to pass it on second down good job to toss that ball out of bounds and avoid the loss went up top on second down that leaves him needing a yard here on third down they'll try to pick it up on the ground really nice pickup there as they have it out to the 44 with a first down big third down conversion getting the ball to your running back and he does the rest this guy I think will get a lot more touches and you want to know why he's on the field on third down cuz he can block he can catch the ball and you can also hand it off to him and he can go find the sticks and keep drives alive what a weapon back to pass it's van Dy unloads to the wide out got his man he gets it to the 31 yd line a big play for this offense nice read and nice throw and I know Wisconsin quarterbacks always get the unfair moniker that they're game managers and it's because they've always been a great rushing offense just got to complete a couple throws keep the offense on schedule but when you think about the offenses where they've had a Difference Maker a guy like Russell Wilson that were able to throw on first down take shots just make them so much more explosive I think this guy has some of those traits too you want to talk about making it easy for an offensive coordinator you pick up a bunch of yards on first down make that second down really really manageable that's a great job by the offense got eight on first down now looking at a second and two they'll go to the ground they get him on the ground but not before he gets it up for the first down it's hard to stop great runs it really is that's why you run the football consistently you got a big offensive line a big physical unit you run the football like this man it will take a toll later but you got to tackle this guy over and over again who has this ability to make people miss and make big plays they'll run it to the right knocked off his feet but not before he picked up six yds down to the 10 listen you you got to be able to know what play to call and what hole to go through like the line blocks for a certain hole good job getting through the hole getting what was blocked getting a nice positive gain making your situation really good on the next down going to work on second down in the red zone is still some ground to cover to pick up that first down they've been running it but now the pass and he's got it touchdown Wisconsin that really nice job attacking the middle of the field you see those safy man I want to split him he splits it right down the middle throws that post right on the numbers catches the ball in the end zone [Music] touchdown now they'll line up for what they hope is automatic and they did make the extra point and we have a tie ball game here in the third so a well executed 8 Place 75 yd drive and they finish it off by connecting from 10 yds out and we're all square as he's set to kick it away bringing it back he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 guys we're about to get another look at this Western Michigan offense guys that last trip a little disappointing having to take the three yeah I think Jesse you see so many offens talk about getting yards and the tempo and all the stuff they do was a nice job moving the football but they got to get in the end zone this time yeah and I think to do that they just got to be more physical at the point of attack get some push up front they need to be the best running team in this game to win they'll line up for a second down Play here's the handoff finds a little bit of space gets three to the 22 [Music] [Music] better find the a pluged here comes the noise backing this defense on third down to the air it's wol makes the grab over the middle really nice job to get it past the sticks pick up the first down at the 30 there's a reason third down is called the money down what a great find by the quarterback great job f ring his receiver at the end of the game you look at third down percentages it tells a huge story and it goes a long way in deciding who wins a football he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple time winding down in the quarters they come to the line he wants to throw here on second down caught in the back field it's Parker and they'll drag him down that's likely the last play of the third quarter we reached the end of the third quarter and we have a potential Classic on our hands all tied up as we take a peek at the stats [Music] these two teams about to find out what they're made of as we open the fourth all tied up these fans stepping up to help this defense on Third and the ball is out who's going to get it once that ball was loose offense didn't have a chance Defenders everywhere it's a turnover well this is the point of a game in the fourth quarter where turnovers matters so much the defense knows if they can just find a way to steal in possession they're giving themselves an opportunity to win it and they do it right there physical play you see the speed and they're able to create the to and Wisconsin has its offense back on the field how big is this drive scored a touchdown the last time they had it defense gets a stop and now it's up to them in a tie game all right so if you're the offensive coordinator here let's dial it in who are your best matches and best Playmakers to take advantage of this golden opportunity yeah and I'm interested to see this defense too like the momentum is clearly not in your favor how do you get it back how do you make a big play do you be more aggressive here to try to get the football back to your offense from the gun they'll try to impose their running game they get him stopped at the 26 but not before he picks up five yards and you know when we talk about great third down defenses it really starts with them getting stops on first and second down you've got to get those stops early in the drives to set up third and long so that's a missed opportunity on that second down by this defense they'll try to move the chains on the ground they've got it just outside the Red Zone they'll move the chains it's at the 21 don't always have to run the sexy plays right it doesn't have to always be uptempo and fast and spread and doing all this stuff sometimes you just lower your shoulder sometimes you just run powerfully you get the first down and that's all that matters the Badgers getting set on First and 10 he's looking to throw it makes the catch it's green this quarterback right now is an improved he's doing a nice job in prestep he's reading the coverage and he's getting an idea of where he wants to go with the football that's why the ball's coming out of his hands so quickly that's why he seems like he's in a great Rhythm right now and the badgers look to do some damage in the red zone back to pass it's van Dy takes the easy one to the back and he is going to lose yard is nowhere to run as he is forced out of bounds they've got it right on the edge of the Red Zone but they face a third and long from the gun wants to pass can't make the connection on third down thanks to that tough hard-nosed pass defense and now it's fourth down really nice third down sub defense there that time it's third and long they're expecting pass and they're mixing up their looks they're trying to change the picture pre- snap to post Snap to confuse the quarterback now forcing the incompletion setting up fourth and now on fourth down they will put it on the shoulders of the kicker to save them with his foot between the uprights it's good and they go back on top all field goals are not created equal guys kicks in the fourth quarter Take the Lead they just seem to carry so much more weight so give that young man credit we getting out there and knocking that thing through the uprights with all the pressure with all the eyeballs on him he delivered after putting up a three spot the kickoff unit set to go on the move from inside is five he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 Western Michigan has it back as they send the offense onto the field and the fumble on that last Drive could have been much worse David they they bailed him out they held him to a field goal so that's the good news now this offense has to get it going forget about the fumble Jesse move on be positive and they're upset with themselves too uh they're an offense that Pride themselves on ball security let's see what they do right here didn't get much done on that first play of the drive it's second and 11 looking to pass it's Wolfe he makes a catch they'll get him on the ground at the 46 and it'll be a first down yeah and the quarterback knew exactly where he wanted to go with the football had time spins the ball deep nice job by this offense understanding what the defense is given him and create an explosive play the offense setting up shop at the 46 first and 10 On The Run it's Buckley they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one you see all this movement in football now all the stem the defensive line they're sliding right before the snap creating confusion for the offensive line then they're moving back and stunting really good job by the defense continue to move continue to stunt continue to get in the back field and make this life hard on this run away on second down he'll let it fly got it behind the line it's Buckley he's brought down solid pickup but a little bit short of the first down listen running backs are not just running backs anymore you're going to be a wide receiver in today's football and a great job sneaking out of the back field getting the football letting them get some positive yardage big third down as the crowd Gets behind this defense from the gun wants to pass dumps it to the back grab near the marker it's Buckley putting together a real scoring threat here as they pick up the first down at the 36 and at this point the defense looks as if they've been in one of those dizzy bat races they've got no idea where the ball's coming from he's over 500 yds passing yeah this is a Heisman trophy level performance from this guy the accuracy the decision making the the offense pops it up and they were on the Move defense just just cradling that fumble and securing it as a Defender you dream about those big hits you you work hard on it in practice closing space getting close and just sticking that guy and causing the [Music] fumble the was and offense will come back on the field to jump around a bit Jesse they had to kick a field goal the last time they had it yeah often times early in games you're just trying to find your Rhythm some things work some don't on that first drive David it be interesting to see what happens here in the second Drive yeah you got to feel for the defense now you understand what they're trying to do what their game plan is now you get to go into phase two of your game plan got three on first down it's second and seven to the air it's van Dy throws to the wide out got his man to the left draged down to the turf but not before getting the first down when you run those routes those curl routes just like that those DBS are going to break when you go to throw the football so you better put that thing on a line and the QB did there put on a line great job great catch first down it's first and 10 from the 44 yd line the give to the tail back they'll get him stopped at the 34 he's got 10 yds on that one and a first down it's a point in the game I think as a coaching staff where you really challenge your offensive line to go win the football game right we've got to lead late we're going to run the football and the defense and everybody in the stadium knows that's what's going to happen can we run the ball down their throats and impose our will that's what this offense right now is trying to do and he has a solid gain before the defense bottles him up this offense is really going to try to keep the defense on their heels in the Run game by doing it with different guys it'll be running backs it'll be quarterbacks they may even try to get receivers involved in the Jet Sweep game reverse game as well but a nice play there on second down will they go back to the ground game he's looking to throw caught behind the line it's green and he was fortunate not to lose yardage on that play able to wedge it back to the line of scrimmage I know a lot of people are going to look at that play and say man that was a bad play didn't gain any yards but that could be the offense maybe setting something up the play caller is going to remember that last play he's going to remember how the defense reacted to it made a quick tackle they might pump that throw and then hit another player vertically down the field for an explosive play down the line just keep that in mind and that is a Nifty bit of navigation to get through that traffic can get the first down he has been the go-to guy on offense all game long know a critical third down here in the fourth quarter surprise surprise guess who they go to that the Badgers will have it first and 10 he's going to pass fires to the wide out he's got it and tight coverage right there but he makes to grab and they've got it on the 11 and a red zone chance you know what's interesting at this point of the game with the lead in the fourth quarter the defense is expecting them to run the ball because they're putting so many guys close to the line of scrimmage they're taking advantage throwing it two straight completions now backto back looking for a physical attack from the gun bur is way ahead for about three it's down at the eight operating in the Red Zone here on second down using his legs it's malusi he pushes his way down to the floor as they get closer and closer I think he run that play on second down knowing it's going to make third down easier you're not trying to hit a home run you don't need the big play right now now now you know third down everything's on the table everything's available High success rank the terrain gets rough this deep in the Red Zone third down they can pick up the first without scoring give him six touchdown Badger Man For the Love of tol Zine and staco what a day this guy's having and I think everybody gets the label as a Wisconsin quarterback as game manager I think he's tired of hearing that he said listen give me the rock I'll spin it around make some big plays and he's putting on a show today they'll try to add another to their lead and the extra point extends the lead to double figures at 10 so the touchdown Drive goes 63 y and they CA the drive with a four yd touchdown pass kickoff team has the ball teed up and they're about ready to go on the run from inside his own five nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 Western Michigan offense ready to go back to work makes the quick grab and he used that spin move move to put him in the spin cycle and gain extra yardage this is the moment for this offense to put a drive together it doesn't matter what's happened up to the point of this game but you're trailing right now you got to put some points up on the board this is where all 11 guys need to be playing together as one and guys this can be a great time to look for a big play on second and inches and he's knocked down but not before moving the chains yeah and this offense listen we're in for spe right we we got to score a bunch of points here we're down we're trailing we got to go fast but we also got to get first downs and that's a nice job sneaking in the Run getting the first down and now we crank the tempo back up they'll start this one from the 29 on first down looking for a man it's wolf and this will be incomplete a big hit there forces second down well the quarterback knew he wanted to go to his tight end on that play he's a big physical Target but it was the hit on the play that Force the incompletion after the misfire now on second down he's looking to throw and the pass is incomplete Jarred Loose by the hit well that's just a great play by the defender and great timing it was the hit that forced that [Music] incompletion balls at the 29 defense can taste getting off the field it's third and long from the gun wants to pass finds his man down the middle put it right on him sweet play good pickup and they'll move the change with the first down and even though they're trailing here in the fourth quarter they've got a quarterback that can bring them back but they need him now to play his A+ level of football we saw a nice completion on that last third down let's see if he can keep it going they'll throw it on first down unloads it left makes a connection he will step out of bounds but not before the big pickup and a first down for this offense hey I'll tell you what that slot receiver he may not be the biggest receiver in the world but he is Shifty and he runs really good routes you saw it on that play and the Broncos with the first and 10 he'll just keep slinging it he's got his man Hey listen on offense just take what the defense gives you quarterback looks out wide he sees the DB way off of the receiver throw him the easy hitch pass you'll take that completion and now on second down for this offense looking to throw it's wolf it's On Target and complete and they wrap him up but not before he's got enough for the first down well down two possessions good news is you get the completion bad news though did not get out of bounds you know right now saving the clock that is at a premium for this offense just inside the 30 at the 29 it's first and 10 looking to move it through the air they're working that left side and a good job of coverage by that defense just a short pick up I love offenses and quarterbacks that are willing to take the easy stuff take those easy throws that are guaranteed to get positive yards yeah I'm going to take big shots down the field too but don't forget it's easier to pick up second and five third and five and it is when we start getting those long yarded situations tight end finds a soft spot he was working his way toward that goal line they'll stop him at the two after the big play up top when you play zone and you drop back you're dropping back to a spot and that means there's going to be holes and the quarterback has to do a good job of reading it seeing it throwing it between those holes he does a really nice job there makes the defense pay for playing Zone coverage he's looking to throw into the end zone and it's caught touchdown Western Michigan before that score considering last rights now all of a sudden they're not dead yet in fact they're feeling much better and they're alive and they've got a chance and I'm looking on the field right now I'm looking at their sideline they're energized Reese after that last score all of a sudden they believe they can come back and win this game this is a totally different looking team than what we saw earlier Pat unit on the field and the Pat will draw them one point closer so a drive there of 84 yds and it was finished off with a 2yd touchdown toss the kickoff team takes the field to boot this one away he'll bring it back from inside his SP nice job executing all of the assignments as they put a stop to that return at the 22 and Wisconsin has its offense back on the field really good balance on that last Drive they mixed it up all over the place Jesse yeah how nice too to have the defense on their heels because at this point they don't know what's coming at him they had problems stopping everything that last drive so I think this defense would come back with a little more aggressiveness I mean they let them have what they wanted now they got to dictate to this offense a little bit more they'll snap this one from the 32 it's first down he want that clock to run can't get him to the ground still on his feet at the 45 hit the afterburners kid he's at the 10 slippery slide find his way and ran away from the crowd into The End Zone touchdown Wisconsin man I am a great play caller when I can hand it to guys like that and he can go that far to the house create big plays showed you a little bit of vision showed you a little bit of burners when he kicked it in gear and got the long touchdown getting set for the point after and the extra point extends the lead to double figures at 10 only took two plays to find the End Zone on that drive and gashing them on the touchdown run finished it off the kickoff team out out there and ready to go he'll start the return inside is five he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 first down here with time for maybe one more play until the two-minute warning shoots it to the left all kinds of room to throw that one in there he's run out of bounds but not before turning in a big pickup and moving the sticks for a first down after that big Gainer to open things up they'll put it in play from the 40 back to throw it's Wolfe he's taking a deep shot late in the game off the deflection missed a great chance to force the turnover instead it'll be second down well I know that one fell incomplete but what a day this guy has had throwing the football multiple touchdowns and he's done a really nice job with his decision making hasn't thrown any picks which has really helped keep this offense on schedule wants to throw on second down and the pass is incomplete thanks to a big hit these fans stepping up to help this defense on third down back to the air one more time oh what a spectacular layout and catch quick timeout called by the offense after the play trying to preserve every minute possible the Broncos come to the line with a fresh set of downs comes out throwing on first down got his man quickly they are on the move down to the 32 and they pick up another first down that receiver found the open space in the zone coverage and as a defense honestly you just throw your hands up on that because they covered it pretty well it was just a good play call and really nice execution they'll hurry to the line with the clock still running he'll come out throwing on first down a shot toward the end zone and swatted down by the defense to stop the scoring opportunity you know I feel for this offense if they're going to get back in the game I don't know if they're going to be able to do it with chunk plays they're going to have to be methodical and generate some first downs and March down the field they're about to run a dirty half dozen plays on this drive looking downfield it's wolf and he got a hand in there knocks it away incomplete yeah and a really good job by the defender understand the ball's coming I got to break on it and go and not try to intercept it and make a bad play he swats it down and make sure that's an incompletion they were really starting to put a drive together and after a couple of incompletions now they need a big play on Third and 10 from the gun wants to pass unloads to the Wi out got him downfield they make the stop but not before he sets them up with a first and goal from the 10 timeout called by the offense and now they just have one remaining in the half going up top on first down he's got it on the move they get it down to the seven on that pass play in Prime position for a score it's so nice as a quarterback when you've got a guy like that working for you in the slot he has such a good feel to find the Open Spaces in the defense just makes life so much easier for his quarterback they'll try to kick it into overdrive clock's running second down coming third [Music] go third and goal coming up here from the gun wants to pass he wants it all and it'll be intercepted In The End Zone the 40 pass the 20 and he's going to run it all the way back touchdown Badger dude you're just thinking hold him to three make him kick a field goal don't let him score points heck no you turn it into offense what a play catches the ball in the end zone take a knee take a knee no sir I'm taking this thing all the way back 100 yd to the house what a play lining up to add another and that extra point is a big one as they now have a three possession 17-point lead in the fourth they're lining up to kick it off after the pick six and that defense will come out feeling it here he comes with the return didn't find any crease in that kickoff coverage and he'll be stopped at the 17 guys we're about to get another look at this Western Michigan offense this offense has pretty much been stuck in the MD the entire game it's been a frustrating performance Jesse Yeah listen you can't be hanging your head just yet this game's not over this coaching staff is still evaluating their player so if you're on the field right now you've got to finish this game you've got to try to prove something to them well the game is over to be clear they're not coming back but I I hear what you're saying keep and it's on the ground and the defense jumps on it they get that turnover his wide receivers are so fast nowadays they're such big Playmakers I just want to get it to them and let him make it happen but a lot of times we're running to them too we're focused on chasing it down and funneling the football in the right direction defense swarm did a good job getting their hand on the football causing the F from the wide running out the clock a mere formality between them and a victory as we have Victory formation coming and they'll take a KNE the universal symbol for we have this thing in hand [Music]
