run defense they improved all the way to third in college football in the run defense they were great on third down but they were still 116th against the pass I see a different secondary for Steve sarkeesian this year they're faster they're more alert I feel like Pete Kowski the defensive coordinator has done an excellent job putting them in position to succeed there you see the run defense improvement from when they got there 114th then 32nd now third last year I understand they're replacing those defensive tackles but Gus if they can if they can solidify the Run front and play quality defense in the secondary I mean they're a play away last year from beating Washington and Michael penx I mean basically like ran him out of the building that night they couldn't stop Michael penck at all after review it's an incomplete pass second down and this this looks to be we had him last year against Kansas State we we saw him a couple of years ago against Alabama this is a totally different defense and last year they were in a large part carried by two great defensive tackles th those tackles allowed them to play a structure that that was more safe for Pete Kowski but Pete Kowski has been there for four years s's been there for four years so these guys know the system you plug in a transfer like makuba in the secondary and all of a sudden it's totally transformed I mean makuba keeps playing like this he'll be all SEC he might be an All-American you know I mean he's been all over the field today he has been brilliant second and 10 at the 49 Andrew makula the Clemson transfer those soft tissue injuries and that is imperative for to start the season and throughout what will be a longer college football season if they make it to the playoffs Bernard he's got a gas maai Bernard kept his feet just short of Midfield and not only are they healthy but they just have depth they didn't have last year well this is just awesome watch the left tackle lumu and then also watch keithy to the front of the play the double team right there at the point of contact with Matt Jones I mean Low Mo that left left tackle is a red shirt freshman he's 300 lb and he runs like a tight end keithy doesn't just catch touchdowns he will also stick his face in there they like these two young tackles they are athletic a little bit light but man can they move and Keith he told us about having to relearn how to walk and cut and there you see him with a block like that down the middle that's incomplete for Bentley didn't like it Deon lamir says what did I do yeah and he got hit early this is
