he rifles one deep down the right side and he gets a big tuck of play of the opening drive but this time facing third and long throws to the back can't make the connection on third down thanks to that tough hard-nosed pass defense and now it's from the gun running back gets to give this defense is got to get better at tackling in the open field or gang tackling because if you need three or four guys to bring a guy down have fun with that looking to throw it's Mariota he lobs one high down the left side he got it up the 15 boy they' love to move the sticks here and take a shot at it on first and goal on Third and long he's going to have to throw for it looking to the end zone and it's caught touchdown Oregon well when you call the wheel route you need to have the right match up and that time they did because the linebacker on the running back oneon-one he uses his speed beat him to the outside that's about his easy overturn the call now on the option the pitch they'll finally make the tackle but that option was executed to Perfection ball is at the 35 it's first and 10 grabbed over the middle it's sticky they make the stop right there good pickup and still short of the first down kept it on the ground last time bringing up a second down he'll do it himself still on his feet at the 4 five and they need a few more you've given up a bunch of yards on this drive and a bunch of plays but all that matters is keeping them off the scoreboard yeah it's that b he got it and he will score touch down they're going to throw it to start the drive he tosses one high and deep down the left side throw to the sideline and it's complete and they've got a big play the feel of this whole Drive Chang ched on that last big play they've got it first and 10 outside the 30 and the ball is intercepted he can be dangerous with the ball in his hands but no room to return that plate they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here throws for the tight end he's got it and he was he lets it Fly he's got it down the right side and they pointed that soft spot and they get it down to the 35 and with that pass right there over 300 yards that's a good day at the office being able to execute doing a good job seeing what's on third and long trying to have a big completion here and the pass [Applause] off the play fake on first down to throw he's going to let one fly down the middle and it goes through his hands oh he had an explosive play right there for the taking but couldn't reel it in still on the 35 yd line they'll try it again on second and 10 after the incompletion back to the passing game makes the grab it's low he's R out of bounds but a big play on that one and it'll be a first down his offense lines up feeling awfully good after that big play looking to go up top on first down trying to make magic on the scramble creates a little room he's finally stop but a big able to stop it and now on third down after that last run back to pass it's Mariota deep shot for the end zone and it's caught for a touchdown and that might do it this guy's putting the Oregon offense on his shoulders carrying them however you want on the ground or through the air I mean so fun to watch when you got a guy that can do this and we've seen it with the ducks in history man they've had some great ones that put their team on their shoulders you need me to run it I'll run it you need me to throw it I can do that too linebackers shuffling around trying to keep the quarterback from getting a read seven is the lucky and skilled number for this squad as they've made it to this point in the season and they are still perfect still perfect and they're cooking you can tell they got some momentum you know seven weeks obviously that does it's not the whole season you got bigger fish to fry down the road great start but you can tell this team's for real for real no doubt and they deserve for us all to be talking about them right now because they look as advertised this is a team with tremendous Talent they've taking care of business up to this point but now because they're undefeated at this point of the year every game from this point out gets bigger and bigger and more important that's going to welcome to ryanfield on the campus of Northwestern University and home to the wild cats where the purple clad fans are eager to get this one started and boy do we have a fun one ahead top 10 team Target on their back going on their Road and right into the snake pit as we'll see the number one team in the country the Oregon Ducks taking on another team from the Big 10 the Northwestern wild cats for EA Sports College they'll run it from the gun shakes off the defender these little Gams can start to add up as he gets it up to the 34 the big pickup on first down leaves him with second and one at the 45 on it way offense on the move a big play there gets it to the 30 defense is going to have their hands full trying to stop this guy they better rally to the football and get multiple hacks cuz he is not easy to bring [Applause] down after picking up a couple it's second and eight they've softened them up with the run now to throw it makes the catch it's Whittington shows you his speed speed speed when I think Oregon Duck running backs L Michel James Kenyan Barner Jonathan Stewart I think about guys that he's got it on the left ripped off a huge chunk play on that one as he gets the first down before he steps out of bounds and the ducks come to the line with a fresh set of downs for first unloads to the wide out a looking for a man it's Mariota and the pass rush is effective and they t going him at the 19 great timing on first down he wants to throw gets it out quickly he's run out of bounds but not before turning in a big pickup and moving the sticks for a first down the Ducks are on the Move off play action on first down he's going to take off there's a live football defense coming up with a huge fumble recover Rover and man I love my quarterbacks that want to make plays and make those big plays and scramble around and get away from people but you got to tough that they take a lot of pride in stopping the Run let's keep our eye on them throughout the course of the game and see if they can contain this running attack looking down the left side it's complete a huge pickup big big gain on that one as he steps out of bounds with a first down from the Red Zone looking for a space and the physical play there forces the incompletion on first down operating in the Red Zone here on second down dropping back it's Mariota dances away to buy time nice run there picked up a few and they'll force him out of bounds well great job there by the defense because they weren't able to get him sacked right away but you saw the coverage in the back end nowhere for the quarterback to throw the football didn't and and he's got it touch down duck now he's looking to throw catch in the middle it's Stewart they'll finally put the brakes on him and the three a big throw catch and run on that one the ducks have it with a first and goal takes a snap wants to throw quarterback strolling away from heat and he'll race it to the house touchdown Oregon they are seizing control when taking away hope as they push out the lead in this week eight wants to throw on first down they're setting up the screen finally run out of bounds but he has this hense blowing with a first down defense is backed up shadow of the goal post trying to defend their own End Zone moving keeping the eyes down field touchdown ducks and they take it in for six more points number eight well this offense is top 10 in the country in points per game because they've got a lot of speed and they've got home run hitters they score fast they don't need 10 plays to go down the field you saw it right there they've recruited well they've got Playmakers they are going to be a problem for defenses all year long off the play fake on first down oh kinds of room to throw that one in there and a pick up of better than 30 yds on that completion before the defense brings him down one of the first things I want to do when I come into a game is I'm going to go where do I have the advantage where are my guys better than yours and maybe they feel good about their matchup out wide some of those wide receivers making some of these big plays down the field this is a good sign for this offense they were really starting to put a drive together after a couple of inmet now they need a big play on Third and 10 flushed out of the pocket trying to escape and get it himself Just Trucks through it all the suspense of a bug hurdling his way toward a windshield and they did splatter them an absolutely dominating performance got to give the coaching staff a ton of credit they obviously had their guys ready to play and motivated right from the opening kick all three phases we saw just spectacular football no metal mistakes David you really can't play better than that n it's it's really fun to do this come out and just dominate opponent start from Finish nothing to worry about you just know you're better you're going to do you put up a bunch of points and win
