Titans DB Elijah Molden joins The Buck Reising Show

there is a lot of work that they need to do to find ways to you know come out here and try and play spoiler for a couple of different teams Seahawks are a team that literally just saved their own season on Monday night football against the Philadelphia Eagles in a dramatic fashion with the way that Drew lock and Julian love were able to combine and seal that game off together meanwhile that's who the Titans will face and Elijah molden joins us now welcome back bud yo good good to be back man I think it was only a couple weeks since I was on here see that's what I said and Lucas to Lucas tried to tell me that it's been since October and I felt like you've been on more recently I don't know time time during the season is doesn't move the same it is it's totally disorienting I we were just talking about like do you are you aware generally of holidays that are upcoming when you know that you're going to play a football game at some point during the week because I feel like Christmas sneaks up on me in ways that it never used to Yeah Christmas for sure um you know I I think I think I learned from maybe my you know my rookie year like you got to get into you got to get into the Christmas spirit yourself you got to be playing Christmas music at all times just so you remember so so is that is that what's happening in the molden household right now are you are you just blaring Christmas music for hours upon hours on end or in the Titans locker room yeah uh both honestly both that is such an improvement on the car ride too work the on the car ride so like in the wait room like there's a there's a lot of different genres of music that people can listen to is anybody blaring Christmas music as you guys get a lift in yeah the the old line dud uh in the locker room they always have um what's that dude's name Bing Crosby or something Bing what's that dude's name Bing Crosby and my next workout Christmas icon B Crosby that's gonna be coming through the headphones White Christmas unbelievable I uh we we were just talking about this and and we'll ask you some football questions I swear here in just a little bit um but we were talking about our favorite Christmas movie characters and we've gotten some really good submissions throughout the course of the day Tim Curry the uh Hotel manager from Home Alone 2o well that's the actor's name uh well yeah the actor Tim Curry but I don't know what the the character's name here is Lucas I'm trying to he hit me with he don't know he's he's acting like he does know who Bing Crosby is I don't know how much more success I'm GNA have with Tim Curry there but like Jim car's the Grinch is favorite alltime Christmas movie character do you have one yeah that's the Grinch and I I wish I I could give it but it's that's hands down my favorite uh Christmas movie no you don't have to give a a different answer if it's the best answer I'll say I'll say in um in Polar Express the the ghost I so this is the this is the animated Polar Express yes yeah the ghost on the on top of the TR is this is this like is this some kind of like holiday misstep me that I haven't seen the the the Polar Express yet what that's pretty bad Elijah molden is here with us on 1045 The Zone all right Lucas play the pick and we're going to have Elijah molden walk us through it Keenum takes the snap swings it out intercepted tight 40 30 20 10 5 and Zone Elija balen touchdown Titan that'll work that'll work so that was for the 13 nothing lead at the time Elijah and I know obviously not the the result that you wanted in the game as a whole for the team but what did you see on the play uh he kind of he just threw it right to me I mean I was supposed to have the flat I saw the running back come out to the flat and then I also saw the quarterback uh look my way and he he wasn't on the same page with the running back and threw right to me and then I was worried about get into the end zone you know it's if you let back tackle you on the end zone payp like that like that's something if if you don't make it to the end zone at that point that's that's something that's coming up on on vel's vel's tape afterwards right like that's something that's going to be highlighted yeah he was close too uh so wi with where you guys are at right now and understanding you know that that the postseason is is Out Of Reach but there's still three games left to play what what do you kind of H is there any different way that you that you handle things like I I I've never I personally have never covered you guys in a spot like this so I'm just kind of curious how it's being handled internally when I know many of you have not been in this situation either yeah I think now now that we know that for sure we only we're only playing three games um you know it's a little different you know there's you know there's there's you know there the hope of the playoffs isn't there anymore but I mean I still play this game and I still come to work every day trying to be the best I could be so my Approach hasn't changed I'm still trying to build a foundation uh going into next year and then finish finish this year strong so I feel good uh really you know feel good at safety you know first year playing safety get get that first year under my belt feeling good going in my next year and and how has that how has that been for you now that you've been able to play some games back there now that you've spent uh and I don't know how much per like how how you would divide up the percentages on times time that you spent practicing at corner versus safety throughout the course of the year but how much more comfortable has that gotten for you in real time yeah more and more every week you know I I I look at the tape uh earlier in the year and I'm like you know what what am I doing and um and now you know there's there's been a lot of growth and um you know I think a lot to build upon next year in the offseason is usually whenever I make my biggest strides uh you know when I'm healthy I I can train that way I and and um really like cement my next year and in the past I haven't had healthy off seasons and knock on what I'm feeling good right um I think after this season s me well we hope that uh that Health continues uh Elijah molden hanging out here with us on 1045 The Zone before they head out to practice today uh so I'm sure you saw well did you watch Monday Night Football live or has it been mostly tape study for you um I watched the first a little bit of it and then I I was able to watch the last two drives so definitely a big win for the Seahawks um they play well when they need did a good job converting on third down the last and and whether it's Gino or or lock it seems this year that they're pretty comfortable pushing the ball down the field how how what what do you kind of make of their passing game how would you explain what you're seeing to the audience who's who's going to be watching it at home yeah I mean they have a lot of different weapons and they each kind of bring a new obviously with with DK being being fast um I think the the rookie Jackson OB there knows they're off well still one of the most you know shiftiest receivers in the league so you know different hey Elijah we're we're having a a hard time with the phone so we're going to we're going to let you get to practice but we appreciate you jumping on here and chopping it up with us for a little bit I know I we we wanted to ask you about the playoffs I don't know if the phone Line's going to hold hold up uh long enough I'm talking about the college football playoff give it a shot given that Washington's in it how how you feeling so far are you are you confident what's the best case for Washington to beat Texas I'm not I'm not too worried about Texas to be honest I think I think we'll get a d off a dub and then I wouldn't be surprised if we end up playing Alabama M we like the confidence the phone line held up
