Entergy New Orleans responds to power outages

WL Louisiana News and five begins with breaking news. Yet another energy outage overnight leaves thousands of customers without power. And now the company CEO is responding good evening, I'm Katie Moore. I'm Gibson. We reported the breaking news in the late news last night, nearly 6500 customers without power. Now that was followed by another more spread outage impacting 11,000. A few hours later entered in New Orleans leadership including Ceo Diana Rodriguez met with reporters just moments ago. She said the outages were caused by damage, lightning, arrest, those are devices designed to protect power lines from lightning. I know that any outage to anyone is never a good thing. So it is. And if you're one of the few people or any person who's had to experience an outage, especially in this heat, it makes it more difficult but rest assured this is some, this, we live here too. We are working through all of this. We continue to invest in what we need know is important to every customer that we have and we, we're always working to do better. We have a team of reporters on this story today and Alyssa Curtis is gonna join us with more including reaction new tonight at six.
