The Sparks Coach did EVERYTHING To Stop Caitlin Clark and She STILL had a Triple Double...

we need to talk about this game right here and we need to talk about Kurt Miller again he is as much as any coach other than Nate tibits solely focused on Caitlyn Clark and if you guys are new into Channel and enjoy it subscribe we're trying to hit 32.4k by the end of the night if we could do that that would be insane we're like 70 off but like Kurt Miller no play no coach more than Kurt Miller has uted maybe Nate tiit has focused everything on Caitlin Clark it has been everything and if you watch in this game and this is why I really really like Aaliyah Boston is it's just her IQ is off the charts and the gap between her dantas was so big it's so big as far as IQ is concerned there neither the fastest on their feet but Leah Boston gets in the positions they blitzed her at half court every single time she came off the screen every single time cait came off a screen she got blitzed at half court and it was to the detriment I think of the team early in the game because it was to try and keep Caitlyn Clark get her out of rhythm and you can see all of these turnovers for this team and In fairness the Sparks forc a lot of turnovers but they overplayed everything they gave the fever easy shot after easy shot after easy shot in this game like the Sparks shot the ball pretty well I thought other than um or in Ria Jackson the team shot the ball pretty well and they just could not deal with the fever because they just overplayed their goal was to and under all circumstances take the ball out of her hands and that's what Kurt Miller tried to do it was not let's try stop this team it was get the ball out of Caitlin Clark's hands and what does she do while being blitzed and by the way the Sparks did a really good job the first time these played the first time these two teams played Caitlin Clark had 11 points in a win but she had five points going into the like last two minutes of that game they did a really good job blitzing her they forced her into a whatow was it is it only two turnovers well she only had two turnovers that game but they managed to stop her they managed to stop her they got the ball out of her hand she didn't take a crazy amount of shots she only took 14 shots and the next time they played she had 30 but it was the fakest 30 I've ever seen like she just kept getting fouled down the stretch like this was not a good game she had the fakest 30 this team has done a really good job of stopping Caitlyn Clark twice but that was not cait that was May Caitlyn Clark this is not the same and he went out and decided just like in May once we can try let's try to cut the head off the monster let's try to cut the head off the monster but unfortunately they got taken out by the other parts and that is where obviously aiyah Boston comes in and look Kelsey Mitchell didn't didn't have the greatest game I thought she started going too much dribble dribble dribble dribble drible dribble dribble dribble dribble let me shoot some dumb shots she stopped really cutting off the ball and when she was cutting the more she cut the better she was the better the more she cuts the better she is and leyah Boston a couple of times did miss her on Cuts I will say but um again like you can have like an off game is 18 points on decent shooting splits for but at Le it was Alissa Nissa Smith was really good but what basically they did was they were blitzing screens and what Aaliyah Boston does is she gets into the best positions imaginable like Aaliyah Boston will if they if she needs to go into the short roll she'll short roll if she needs to dive and seal she'll dive and seal and that's what the thing was it was Caitlin Clark finding her in that post she got some seals she was being found and towards the end of the game she was getting better with the hockey assists and you could see that they were literally letting Aaliyah Boston do whatever she wanted like if Aaliyah Boston was more aggressive today she got at 40 and that was the goal that was their goal their goal was we do not care if Aaliyah Boston beats us we do not care if Kelsey Mitchell beats us we do not care if Nelissa Smith beats us we don't care if Erica wheeler damus dantz Katy L Samson beat us we actually don't care let's just stop Caitlyn Clark they were guarding her in a they didn't full core presser because they saw against Dallas that that's not going to work so they did Blitzer harder than any team as Blitzer since the start of the year and kitl Clark's seen everything she has seen absolutely everything and the team just went into a bit of defensive freef fall towards the end of the game like you could see that they wanted this this was not a team that like effort wise this was not a tanking team they were getting caught on switches quite a bit which was not good for them um but you could see this Indiana Fever team that they are so much better on offense now like you're looking at them in four and three situation and there's literally how many rant videos if you want to the most obvious one if you want to see my breakdown of their second game against the liberty of sorry their first game is Liberty but their second game of the season I went mad and it was like a whole thing and I'm like man Chris how the hell can a team not know what to do in four on three situations I'm like how is a professional basketball team this bad in four on three and you're seeing now yeah they were missing shots they got a good shot on every single possession you can't Blitz Caitlyn Clark anymore and a big reason for that is because of her it's because Aaliyah Boston and Caitlyn Clark Caitlyn Clark knows where aiyah Boston's going to be when she gets a blitz like you're you have space to go backwards on a blitz always Caitlyn Clark can pass out of that very well and you're not if you overplay a leyah Boston high she cuts really well and K Clark will throw the ball into space and find her so you have to basically now with the way she's moving the only time you should ever Blitz Caitlyn Clark is when damus dantas is on the floor like when dantas is on the floor you can Blitz Caitlin Clark cuz Dantes does not drift into proper positions look dantz has got good touch she can shoot the ball a little bit she can finish she doesn't do anything else well on the floor like she's not a good Defender she's not a good rebounder she's slow um she doesn't she gets in people's way like unless she's hitting those dantas Fades and open jump shots like I really don't think she does very much well on the floor and like if you that's the very big difference is that you can Blitz Kate on Clark when dant on the floor you if you Blitz her and make things hard on Caitlyn Clark she doesn't have the outlet and now but now she has the outlet and also you're now in a situation where you're putting so much extended pressure on Caitlyn Clark that in transition she can just burn you and you're seeing it there like because every single player that has a drilled in we're going to Blitz we're L aggressive we're going to Blitz we're doing all this they're they will push up on her so even in transition you're going to be more aggressive and Caitlyn Clark was she just kept going one dribble right they would be overly playing her bam back back into the three like she shot a couple of those three she got a few good looks that she missed and then she would just if she's being overplayed she'd go downhill if they overplayed her in every single scenario she got overplayed and she was able to beat them and she's doing a really good job now of the kind of jump stop lean into the fouls which she's gotten better at her mid-range game her floater that kind of like jump shoty layup thing that she shoots I don't even know if it's a floater but it's kind of like a a jump shot layup I don't know what it is it looks like a layup sometimes from outside the key the bank shot that she shoots and she makes that at a seriously good rate through contact as well she's hard to stop she's really hard to stop and you we saw it today that like and it's not just she's hard to stop you can stop her like the team by the way Caitlyn Clark had nine had two points in the second quarter she had two points and it was free throws Caitlyn Clark did not shoot the ball in the second quarter had five assists and the team scored more points in the first quarter and the funny thing is if you looked at this game in the quarters where Caitlyn Clark scored the most points in the quarter she scored the most points the team scored the least 2322 but you you just you can't stop both and that's now what the issue is now is with this game right here is you're looking at as paage Becker said as Kim mky said you cannot stop Caitlyn Clark you have to try stop either stop her scoring or stop her passing and the problem is is that she started scoring early they tried to stop her kind of passing get the ball out of her hands early she hit a couple of shots then they would start blitzing even more they tried to stop her from scoring stop her doing that damage she killed you with the passing and then you had to stop blitzing you started switching more and but still playing with extended pressure she then scores what seven points in a minute and a half or something and then by the end of the game she's just in too much of a rhythm that there's nothing you can do whether it's a rhythm passing Rhythm shooting and Aaliyah Boston has enough of the ball she's good good with making good decisions you've allowed Nelissa Smith to get into a rhythm like teams don't know how to guard her the only way you can guard Caitlyn Clark is In fairness if you have D Carrington on your team like having D Carrington in your team is um the only uh the only
