Tottenham Draw Coventry Away In The Round 3 of The Carabao Cup

the caribo Cup draw that came out last night obviously Tottenham hos found out their fate so just going to do a Qui reaction to that but before we do get into it we need to talk about something um that draw last night what happened was I I was waiting for the draw to come out after the after the Newcastle game as you do uh just check in on Twitter or X whatever you guys want to call it and I kept on seeing these things about everyone saying it was rigged obviously to my attention I didn't even realize this is what they were doing and uh basically I saw this graphic and it had like uh European or no said you champion League team or Europa League team and then so they'll be at home so four of them games are going to be at home and then they get picked against a round two winner so obviously if you don't know that you're going to the round two if you're not in Europe uh so obviously that's all the teams from seven or eighth and below in the Premier League and obviously that way then you had two Europa League and Champions League teams going an a away leg and guarant aning get a round lead two round two winner sorry I'm staring the words cuz it's so confusing myself but anyways I don't know how I feel about that to be honest because it seems a bit rigged cuz how can they make well first of all they giving them all home ties anyway obviously I set from two of the champions league on Europa League teams and not getting home ties but four of the six teams are getting home ties so they're already getting home advantage and then you're basically saying that if you play in Europe you can't play against each other which I I don't agree with cuz if it's meant to be a draw then it's meant to be a draw it should just be names out of a pot and then you play that team and they've said they wanted to do it for fiction congestion because obviously the champions league and Europa League has been expanded so there's going to be more games but that also makes no sense because if the two teams in Europa League and Champions League were going against each other then they've got less games anyway because one of them goes out so that is an absolute lie as well um obviously the flip side you can look at is yeah I guarantee there's a small team that are going to go to a premier league side away ground which obviously that means they'll make loads of money from but at the same time it's the luck of the draw though I just think this spits a bit obviously it's not rigged because well it is rigged yeah let's just call it for what it is it's rigged it's absolutely rigged uh that's not fair at all on the small teams and yeah it's basically basally just avoiding the big teams so it's just protecting the big teams obviously I support Spurs as well so we're one of the teams that already had a predetermined leg we're obviously going to the away we're going away but um yeah no it's an absolute Joke Man obviously if you support one of them little teams I want I want to know how you feel about it because how are they just looking after the big teams again and again and again um when will it actually change but um yeah I don't think it's fair at all but anyways let's get into the draw so the names got pulled out of the Hat Tottenham hot spur are a way to centry is it Coventry City I'm not actually sure is it City United I'm I'm not sure 100% centry not the nicest place though to be honest with you guys with all due respect to anyone that may be listening from commentary but um yes so these games are due to be played between the 16th and the 23d of September so next month so they're going to come around ASAP uh it's a little return back to C for James Madison as well it's not too far travel wise obviously from Spurs to the Midlands about an hour and a half uh you should hope they wouldn't fly but they know they might blame it on the fix a congestion but um yeah in terms of that game is an absolutely must- win uh we remember what happened last year obviously no Europe so we went in at round two we got drawn against Fulham uh 1-1 we ended up drawing the game and then went to penalties lost on penalties as you remember davson Sanchez missed the most vital penalty the fifth and vital penalty and I'm pretty sure got sold like the day later as well so don't really understand why he was taking a penalty but I guess he obviously stood up to take it so you can't knock him for that but yeah so obviously on the back of that that was obviously Angie's first crack at a Trophy last year and that was probably only like the second or third week of the season so you can imagine the Meltdown that we went through cuz was another trophy that was just gone straight away uh I remember an saying a few things about his Squad after the game thought he wanted to try out some players and and realize who he couldn't couldn't trust obviously since then I'm not sure many of them players are actually still at Spurs I think Ben Davy started that game I know danne Scarlet started I think Malo Solomon richison I think maybe started I'm not 100% on that um but yeah so yeah our need for a trophy is obviously massive as every other rival fan will let us know not had a trophy since 2008 so this game against coventre is must win absolutely must win and we must be in that round four draw uh yeah we need a trophy this season to get the hudo off the back to get maybe even a few of the players still interested at Spurs so the caribo cup is a good effort at that um obviously you can't guarantee it but but I think in the Carib cup minimum we need to be going to the semi-finals absolute minimum we need to go to the semi-finals I'm expecting deep runs in all of the tournaments we're in wait yeah all the tournaments we're in Europa League FA Cup obviously Premier League I'm not trying to go in a deep run and that but um yeah minimum semi-finals for Spurs you can clip that you can mark me to that if we don't get to minimum the semi-finals I will be fuming and it will seem like the weight will go forever uh I will go over the caribo Cup draw in full just to show you the absolute fle where saying that the first time I'm actually going to read that comes out as a premier league tie obviously this is very rare of this happening now that they've done this new weird format but so the games we have are Liverpool versus West Ham Manchester City versus Watford Arsenal versus Bolton Man United versus barnesley Wickham versus Villa centry versus Tottenham W versus Leicester brenford Leon Oran Blackpool shefford Wednesday Preston Fulham Everton Southampton QPR Crystal Palace Stoke Fleetwood Brighton wolves AFC Wimbledon Newcastle and Chelsea Barrow now if you look at that draw I don't know how I feel about it personally because obviously it's all weighted to all the bigger teams so all the bigger teams have got arguably smaller teams obviously Liverpool have got West Ham but in terms of the rest of them everyone else has just got smaller teams so obviously you can never tell in football and in sport but yeah it seems all pretty one-sided and we towards the bigger teams yeah as I said it's a joke what they've done this year and I'd really like to know what any of the small teams think about it because obviously they see out yeah we might get a big trip up to a big Stadium but if you look at centry or who have Aston Villa got sorry so centry got Spurs so they're just playing Spurs at home anyway so it's not really that great now they just got a big team and they're playing them at home anyway uh I guess obviously it means the stadium might be full but still if they wanted that they'd probably want to go to the Tottenham hbur Stadium I guess if you're going to do it like that and Aston Villa against Wickham it's another one it's going to be a full Stadium again but if you ask all the Wickham players they're probably going to say they' rather play at Villa Park so if you're going to do all of the home TI for some of the games you might as well do it for all of them so me personally this whole thing doesn't make sense it's a joke it's not corruption but it's as close to Legal corruption as you can get and it shouldn't it shouldn't be like that at all but um yeah we got the Europa League draw tomorrow as well obviously champions league on tonight which I won't be watching no I'm joking I'll definitely watch it but um yeah so champions league tonight then we've got Europa League tomorrow I think is about midday uh that's also got a new format so they're doing like this new league sort of phase thing which means you get eight games I think you play eight different teams as well four home four away so like I understand what they're doing but once again it's just a bit it's obviously just for more money this what the game's all about anyway isn't it but um yeah so I react to that hopefully we get a nice I don't know how it what it's not really a group but a nice set of fixtures to um hopefully take us on to the final I believe the final is in San Sebastian who's robes Stadium or sad Stadium one of them two but anyways lovely area I'm signing off cuz I'm going to hop off to the gym uh I'll jump on back on tonight to talk about anything else uh in terms of Spurs new kits dropped haven't reacted to that still the player I see George Abott is going to notot County which is a good move for him on loan he captain of the under 21s last season when they won the um they won the pl2 and they won the pl cup I believe so he captained them to that so it's good that he's going to go and get some men's football minutes still to go before tomorrow's deadline we have regulon Lelo Alfie deine surprisingly enough still hasn't gone out on loan obviously I'm expecting him to go out on loan but if not maybe they keep him around cuz we don't have sort of numbers for for what's it called homegrown numbers sorry for the European Squad but I just think that sort of stunts his growth but maybe they look to do that just for the first till January and then just give him every game Europa League I don't know I don't know what that does for your development but I guess at the same time you've got to look after yourself as a club before you start looking after other clubs so um yeah guys let me know what you think about that draw as well because I don't
