Analysis On Vikings Eagles Preseason Game, Roster Moves, Cuts, And Final 53 Man-Roster

I know you scared I do too if I were you uhhuh uhhuh I know you scared you better bringing bettering bettering better bring it better bring it in iing better [Music] better yo yo yo what it's up JJ Vikings here to announce the Vikings moves roster moves roster cuts and also analysis on the Vikings final preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles where they where the Vikings won 26 to three that was a good game for the Vikings and the team in general just had a lot success that game and the defense was looking nice the offense was looking nice and I'm goingon to go right off the bat and say congratulations to um Dwight mcln cornerback rookie I think he's a rookie I'm not quite sure uh and defensive lineman Taki taiani for making the roster they both made the 53 man roster so that huge congrats to them huge congratulations to them that is definitely something that's hard to do in this league and the fact that they did it that's just you know I got a lot of respect for them and you know another thing I feel that the team is very very skilled and there are lots and lots and lots of moves being made and before we get into all that I just wanted to say uh Dalton Ryner and uh off offensive guard Dalton Ryner is put on the on the IR the injured reserve list hope he's gonna make it out okay uh he'll be eligible to play in approximately four weeks and Vikings uh Gabriel Murphy outside linebacker also was put on the injured reserve list I believe so I hope they're both okay um but I do feel that I do feel some confidence for the season but you know I am excited anyways let's let's get into the stats so against the Eagles jiren Hall went 17 for 25 for 189 yards and two touchdowns that's our quarterback right there Jaren Hall Matt carral only had four uh completions on six attempts for 13 yards miles gasin had 61 uh rushes 61 yards on 13 carries Dwayne McBride had 34 on 11 carries Mo Ibraham has 16 yards on four carries jiren Hall carried the ball carried the ball twice for 11 yards Matt carral carried the ball three times for negative three yards um oh they must have been kneel Downs uh lucky Jackson wide receiver uh had four catches for 50 for 53 yards and nil Harris tight end uh who was recently moved from the wide receiver position I don't know about recently but he was moved from there to tight end two catches for 30 for 38 yards Dwayne McBride had two for 27 receiving uh Justin Hall had two catches for 24 yards and a touchdown Justin Hall actually got the ball thrown to him by jiren Hall so two two Jay Halls right there so that's pretty cool Trent sherfield three catches for 20 yards Deshawn Jones four catches for 19 yards Tristan Jackson gets a touch down Tristian Jackson has played three preseason games and has had three preseason touchdowns that is awesome he's had a touchdown in each of the preseason games in my opinion Tristian Jackson should get himself a roster spot he's earned it he's definitely earned it so qu do fensa Kevin oconnell gotta look into that um two sacks for Andre Carter uh he he had a monster game and an interception by Jay Ward uh so lots and lots and lots of great plays all over and and I'm truly loving the confidence and the excitement for this team just everything about it is really really really exciting um the first the first set of players that the Vikings released from the team though and this happened yesterday was quarterback Matt carral running back Dwayne McBride tight end Samus Reyes running back Mo Ibraham uh cornerback Jaylen Williams tight end Neil Johnson wide receiver Justin Hall off um outside linebacker Owen Porter offensive lineman Chuck filiaga offensive lineman Doug Nester offensive lineman Matt cnri offensive lineman Spencer Rolland and defensive lineman Tyler Manoa and the Vikings also released um Bo RoR defensive lineman I am so against this Bo RoR had a nice nice nice preseason but they are hoping to bring him back to the practice squad I heard the Vikings um are also releasing all offensive lineman Tyrese Robinson they did that um Andre Carter by the way the defensive lineman if he clears waivers the Vikings hope to bring him back to the practice squad um I get most of these news from Vikings fan page on Twitter awesome guy uh by the way if you want to go see him it's Vikings with an with a z at the end and then fan page all capitalized first letter so the V and Vikings and the effing fans and then the uh Paige the p and Paige all capitalized got to go check him out if you have Twitter awesome reliable source for the Vikings despite him only being a fan page he's still very very reliable um Vikings Edge rusher Gabriel Murphy's knee injury is not expected to be season ending uh that's what Darren wolson said uh Vikings are also releasing defensive back Bobby McCain they Place uh Gabriel Murphy on the IR they released defensive lineman jquan Roy who was a fifth round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft so that's unfortunate unfor like since he got released by the Vikings another another thing to say Vikings released running back miles gasin they are waving which means releasing defensive tackle James Lynch and you know the Vikings have also cut which also means released and waved linebacker Dallas Grant they also release cornerback Duke Shelly Duke Shelly what a fan favorite man so it's it's it's sad that he that he had to get released man that's just sad really sad really sad but uh you know I know a couple Vikings people on Twitter that are big fans of Duke Shelly including s spice on Twitter uh the one that I also had on my show for an interview uh about a few months ago I think but uh yeah s spice is not too happy about this uh Vikings first of all congratulations because a news report came in like I said earlier about Taki taiani defensive lineman cornerback Dwight mcln they both made the roster so that's that's awesome uh Vikings linebacker Brian asamoa very surprising he made the 53 man roster so that's that is awesome congrats to you Brian oh it's not asamoa it's asoa my bad um the Vikings are releasing cornerback nwn Wright who they traded who who they got in in exchange for quarterback Andrew booth Jr they're releasing tight end nille Harry and Robert tunan per the team uh I don't I don't I don't understand releasing Robert tanion I don't get that part the Vikings are also releasing udfa wide receiver Deshawn Jones who had that 71 yard touchdown off of a bomb from jiren Hall against the Browns in the preseason game uh and I'm just I'm just really excited about the team in general and there are lots of players I believe that the Vikings are hoping clear's waivers so that we can so that we can get them back on the practice squad but the official 53 53 man roster is quarterback Sam darnold quarterback Nick Mullins quarterback jiren Hall these are the guys that aren't injured by the way so JJ McCarthy is not is not healthy right now in terms of injuries so that's why they they left him off of this list in the back field you have Aaron Jones running back Tai Chandler as well uh that's going to be a nice one-two punch I like CJ Hammond there at fullback as well six wide receivers Justin Jefferson Jordan Edison Jaylen Naylor who I'm glad made the roster had a fantastic preseason I'm surprised to see to still see Brandon Powell there trisan Jackson and Trent sherfield made it I'm very excited for trisan Jackson happy for Trent sherfield tight ends Josh Oliver Johnny Mt Nick Muse and T.J hackinson is on the pup list which means physically unable to perform so that's why he's not on that um official official roster in terms of being healthy offensive tackles you got Christian derisa Brian O'Neal David quesenberry and Walter Rous Walter Rouse is pretty underrated he was underrated in the preseason too uh you have offensive guards Blake brandelle Ed Ingram Michael Jurgens and Dalton Ryner who's on the IR injured reserve list Garrett Bradberry and Dan FY are both the the starting centers or Garrett Bradberry is is the starting center but Dan FY is also on the roster um defensive lineman you got Harrison Phillips J uh Jerry Tillery Jonathan Bullard Jaylen Redmond Levi Drake Rodriguez and Taki taiani I'm happy that Levi Drake Rodriguez made it I'm a little disappointed to not see Bill RoR on there uh offside linebackers Jonathan Bernard Andrew van GLE Dallas Turner let's go Dallas Turner um finally got that sack in the preseason against the Raiders and just kept on showing up and showing out from there Jihad Ward Patrick Jones glad to see Patrick Jones back uh Gabriel Murphy hope he's okay because he's like he's on the injur reserve list uh inside linebackers four of them Blake Cashman Ivan Pace Jr let's go Pace gang I love Ivan Pace Jr a lot he's going to be wearing the Green Dot communicating with his defense love that Camu Camu gr Hill and Brian Aima six cornerbacks Byron Murphy Jr Stefan Gilmore Shaq Griffin uh short for Shaquille Griffin Fabian Maro a Caleb Evans and Dwight mcln Dwight MCN I'm so happy he made the roster man I love Dwight mcln and he almost had a pick six against the Browns too um still kind of upset he didn't make it to the end zone but it's all good I love that guy uh safety Harrison Smith love Harry always have Cameron bham love cam bezy Joshua matelis gotta love Josh man awesome guy Joshua matelis is a is an outstanding player Mr no excuses Mr do it all uh Theo Jackson Jay Ward I'm glad they both made it on special teams will rard will rard is a legend man making a 57 yard field goal against the Philadelphia Eagles in the preseason Ryan Wright the punter who beat who beat out the the competition and won the job Andrew deala as well a Long Snapper and uh this is a great team great great team there are some guys that are hoping clear waivers and come back to the team on at least on the practice squad but yeah I love this I I like this I like this Rost I like this roster so you have three quarterbacks three running backs or like three backs in the back field six receivers three tight ends four offensive tackles three offensive guards oh yeah three offensive guards that are healthy uh two centers six linemen on defense five outside linebackers four inside linebackers six cornerbacks five safeties and three team special teams players that are that made the roster like in terms of like the best special teams players to make the roster in terms of will rard Ryan Wright and Andrew deala and I know some people might say like for example the part where it says uh let's say five outside linebackers that and not counting Gabriel Murphy you could be like you could be like hey but you're not counting Gabriel murphrey in that why not well it's because the list is going off of the players that are healthy and um on the team like healthy and ready to play players that are on the IR injured reserve or the pup list the physically unable to perform list things like that if you're on the IR or the pump or the pup list then you're not going to be counted as the healthy player on the roster you still made it but you but you're not going to be a healthy player for a little while due to injuries but that's the analysis on the uh roster moves roster cuts and the final 53 man roster um let me know what you guys think this is very interesting I saw that quacy um released a lot of players and I hope I hope to see what he's cooking now I hope to see what he is cooking now because you know it kind of confused me what his roster moves were and you know I just I have that trust in him though you got you guys got to have that trust in quiso doam Mena as well uh overall I'm excited for the season excited for this team I want us to beat the Giants in week one I'm excited for us to finally play some meaningful football and just show up and show up um really excited about that and the Vikings in general they uh they finally got the deal done in terms of getting the players you need releasing the ones you don't need and then hoping to bring back the players that you still do need that you release which I hope we do that because another team could go out there and snag snag B RoR just like that or snag um Duke Shelly just like that or snag another player that we need just like that so I'm excited for the roster the 50 the 53 man roster that's that's really cool um I love the skillful players that we have I love Tristian Jackson a lot he's a he's a guy who who's very easy to root for um a guy who definitely has succeeded a lot he showed up and showed out no matter the quarterback and I want to keep seeing that another thing we waved running back Ken wangu and I was very surprised about that too uh because did you guys see the the way he was running out there against the Raiders Browns and even the Eagles he's a he's he's strong with his feet a nice Runner great burst and we need him on the kickoff too despite the new rules on the kickoff those those are those are really dumb but he isn't the best pass blocker though unfortunately but I hope I hope we get him back on the practice squad at least and uh like I said there are some players that we waved like wide receiver theer Thomas wide receiver lucky Jackson guard offensive guard Henry bird uh Dallas Grant you know guys like that I was really surprised when I saw that we that we that we um got rid of Bobby McCain that was uh something pretty weird we also terminated the contract of cornerback AJ Green II so that was also something uh we we placed Jordan Jordan kazik on the on the injured reserve list so that's yeah that's that kind of sucks we waved the injured wide receiver Malik nolles and Jonah Williams defensive lineman also got waved so things like that you know kind of suck when you when you miss an opportunity but for all the players that made the roster at least to practice squad congrats for all the players that got cut um made the best of luck we wish to you uh prayers that you get on on another team I got some prayers for you that you you get to another team uh but in general I'm excited about this team this uh this roster the front office and what they're planning to do and the things that the great things that could happen I'm just so excited I'm so excited uh yeah I think I said what I said I think I said everything so uh the Vikings are looking very
