Seth’s 2024 Pre-Season College Football Rankings

hi guys so every week I'm going to be doing a college football rankings and these are my pre-week one rankings all right so at number one I have Georgia um Carson Beck's returning their quarterback he's one of the Heisman favorites Kirby smar is the coach he's always he always puts together a good team there's not much concern about this team a lot of people have them at number one at number two I have Oregon this is their first year in the Big 10 um it's a new conference so we'll see how they do but I think some people are saying the transition might not be great but I think they'll be fine because I think the Pack 12 was also really good Dylan Gabriel also a Heisman favorite they got really good receiving very good coach Dan Lanning all right um at number three I have Texas um Quinn yers I think is the best quarterback in college football they got Isaiah Bond the transfer receiver from Alabama they have a good run game good defense good line Steve sarkeesian's a good coach um they're in the SEC now which could be a little tricky coming from much easier conference but I think there won't be much of a drop off all right at Fourth I have Ohio State um Ohio State always good um they got a new transfer quarterback will Howard I think he's a pretty good quarterback um Denzel Burke their quarterback is one of the best quarterbacks in the country they got Quin Chan junkins um a a transfer running back from Old Miss I think they probably the best one of the best Run games the country and one of the best defenses in the country good coordinators they should be pretty good all right at number five I have om Miss um Le and ke and their coach is really good Jackson Dart their quarterback he's good they Trey Harris really good receiver their offense should be one of the best in the country the defense is a little bit concerning but they got a few new transfer recruits so that should help um at number six I have Alabama their first year without Nick Sabin in a long time um but they brought kayin theore and as their coach who is always good with um taking not much talent and making it good and now he's actually working with Talent Jaylen mro um a good rushing quarterback um they they should be I would say about equal to last year a little worse but um they got Caleb Downs this team should be pretty good all right at seven I got Penn State um they have three new coordinators this year see how that works but the new offense coordinator Andy kot Nikki supposed to help offense which is one of their weak points last year um you just got to see if the receivers could play good if the receivers can play good this team's going to be really good if not it might be a long season all right at AI of Missouri they have a lot of returning production Brady cook is going to be a really good quarterback Luther Burton uh receiver who a lot of people say is the best receiver in the country um so they should be pretty good they won the Cotton bow last year the first good season in almost 10 years and they're looking to improve on that and nine I got last year's national champions Michigan um this team it it should be this is going to be a big drop off they go to nine but the question with Michigan is quarterback and receiver Roman Wilson left so they don't have any receivers and it's a three-way quarterback competition no one's really a great quarterback um that's in that competition but they do have Donan Edwards one of the best running backs and they have will Johnson Mason Graham two the best defensive players they have a great defense coordinator I think this is probably the best defense in college football so it's going to be if you want to beat them you got to have a really good offense um but the quarterback is the big question with Michigan this year and they're without Jim Harbaugh at 10 I got Notre Dame um they got transfer quarterback Riley Leonard from duke he's not great but he's pretty good Marcus Freeman he's a good coach um they got Bo Collins a receiver from Clemson that should help them and they dominated their bll game and that has given them a lot of hype for this year all right at number 11 I have Utah so their quarterback cam Rising was expected to go to the NFL 3 years ago then decided to stay and then got injured two straight years so he's one of the oldest quarterbacks in college football finally returning which should really help them um yeah the last time he um cam Rising was healthy for the full season he uh Utah won their conference um so they should be pretty good uh 12 I've got Clemson um this is the first ACC team I think the ACC is the worst conference um Kade kumnick a decent quarterback um there's not they don't have really any great receivers they're de F should be good Phil moff their running backs really good and dbos Sweeney always puts together a good team um one of the most dominant teams over the last 10 years so they're always good all right at 13 we got 10 Tennessee um Tennessee has a new quarterback Nico laliva and Tennessee always is known for the quarterbacks they had henden hooker then Joe Melton and now Nico Amala who I think is going to be really good he played great in their bowl game and I think Tennessee could be a surprise team this year they also got James Pierce Jr one of the best defensive players in the entire off college football all right at 14 I got Arizona at the end of last year they went um they won a ton of big games they won the all mobile they did lose their coach which could could be bad but they're also in a new conference which is way easier so I think they'll do good I think they might win the conference all right and number 15 I've got USC um I actually think Miller Moss is a really good quarterback I don't think there'll be much of a drop off without Caleb Williams Lincoln Riley always good coach Zachariah Branch probably the fastest player in college football they have an insane offense the defense a little bit of a question but it's to beat them you got to have a good defense it's going to be it's going to be a track me when you play them all right at 16 I got LSU um new quarterback coming in Grant nusman trying Place Jaden Daniels I don't know I don't think he's as good but he's still very good receiver they got AAL League neighbors and Brian Thomas Jr but they have some good receivers still in that room um the defense has got to improve though and 17 I got Syracuse I think Syracuse is one of the most underrated teams in college football they got Kyle mcord um they had a pretty good year last year they're in an easy division I think this team could go undefeated with how easy of a schedule they got 18 I have my Miami last year they were a great team especially towards the end of the season um which gives people hope for this year and they also got a new quarterback cam Ward and I don't know if he's better than their last quarterback Tyler van Dy but um he certainly could run a lot more so now they have a dual threat quarterback instead of just like a pocket passer at 19 I got West Virginia they're in a big game this week um gck Green's a great quarterback um they have a great run running back in CJ Donaldson uh one of the best lines in college football this should be a pretty good team they could be surprised team this year in the Big 12 uh sorry the camera is so shaky 20 I got Georgia Tech coming off that upset win against Florida State um that um um so they look really good in that um Florida state is expected to be really good but Georgia Tech upset them in the first game of college football they're the only two major teams that played and Haynes King look good um yeah so um they should be good Florida State got a new quarterback DJ youngo away and and um yeah they they look their offense looks good their defense um it's a little bit of a question mark but I mean they look they were very resilient against Florida State um although they didn't win the game they still I think looked very good they still have a chance to win the ACC but it might be a little hard now 22 we got Auburn last year they finished this finished the season really strong um they almost beat Alabama a game they should have won um they have one of the best they got one of the best recruiting classes um the country this year all right 23 wiconsin so Wisconsin would held them back the past few years it's been quarterback play this year they got a new transfer quarterback in Tyler van djk who should help out a lot uh they also have chz mey coming back again who should be really good and Luke fickle is a great coach this should be team to watch all right 24 I got Oklahoma I feel Oklahoma if they were still in the Big 12 I feel like they would be still pretty good but given that they're moving to a much harder conference feel like this is going to be a kind of rebuilding year um they lost their quarterback and Dylan Gabriel um Bren renals he's not he was good as a defense coordinator but he's not great as a head coach and that 25 I got Washington last year's running back uh runner up for the national championship um got a new quarterback um got a new coach and Jed fish who I think is a really good coach he did a lot his previous job in Arizona and um I think he could build this team um and yeah they lost their coach but they got a brand new coach and I don't think there will be a huge drop off they got a new quarter back and W Rogers um yeah all right that's my week one rankings bye
