2024 Week 2 NFL Pigskin Pickem's Predictions with Week 1 Results

[Music] hello ladies and gentlemen welcome to week two of the NFL Week up week pick thems we are having a great time and the week one was a heck of a start to the season a lot of controversial endings to the games a lot of great games that were blots and some games that were even good close to the very end but let's get right into it after week one we have a sole possession Leader by the name of the whole world he went 15 and one I am in sole position of second with 14- two followed by Condor concrete picks at 13 and three and then European Elance T Sizzle had 12- four L skunks was 11 and5 along with Mama pther and Bigos the bird picker got 10 ows 10 the six the whole pin show was 9 and seven along with big boss man and bringing up the rear right now is Donna's Visions with eight and eight but heck this is a early start of the season so this could change in the matter of picks in the matter of weeks so we can see this lineup of orders change dramatically so let's get right into it week two Thursday night tomorrow night we have the Buffalo Bills traveling to the Miami Dolphins Buffalo Bills looked like they were going to lose to the Cardinals being down 170 early to the Cardinals then all a sudden Josh Allen wakes up plays like he's the MVP that he should be every year they go out and win that game miy Dolphins down same situation they were down 17 early started to slowly come back they got in the very end with a game-winning field goal this is the situation where I'm going to go based off history the Miami Dolphins in the last few years under the Tua and their head coach regime cannot beat teams above 500 a playoff caliber great team I'm going to have to stick to the same formula I'm going with the Buffalo Bills I know they're not favored in the pick thems because of the way being the way team until I see the dolphins do it against a high caliber team like the Buffalo Bills I have to go with the Buffalo Bills to win this one then we have the Dallas Cowboys playing against New Orleans Saints in Dallas Dallas utterly destroying the Cleveland Browns which I don't think no fans of either team thought that was going to happen and then New Orleans even though they beat up on the Panthers who are arguably the probably the worst team in the NFL still no one expected them to put up the amount of points that they did so this is going to be a battle of whose defense is going to stop the other offense and I believe I am going to have to go with that Dallas Cowboy defense they're really really good even though the P the Saints game they played the Panthers Panthers are not much of an offensive Powerhouse Dallas is going to be one of those teams where if you're not on it on De on offense your defense is going to have to carry you and then this game I expect the offense to do good for Dallas I expect the defense to be really good as well I do not think that they're going to give up as many points as the Panthers did to the Saints I think it's going to be maybe a 30 20 game and we'll have to see what happens but I'm going with the Dallas Cowboys now this is where it gets interesting that the Detroit Lions playing against the Tampa Bay Bucks a rematch of last year's playoff matchup where it came down to the wire Detroit did pretty good in their game they won their sunay Night Football matchup in overtime Tampa Bay winning their matchup pretty easily as well both teams look to be very good on offense um I think that defense of Detroit is unbelievable still they gotten a lot better they defensive line has gotten a lot better for them Tampa Bay Baker Mayfield looks a lot better now um darg Mike Evans Chris Godwin getting these players ready for this week um I'm actually picking and I'm I'm really upset about it I'm G to go with Detroit Lions owing for the fact that Detroit I believe has a better offense that can be consistent yes there was a little bit of mistakes that I think jarro gof is going to approve on and should not be making those mistakes with this offense I'm going to the Detroit Lions but I would not be upset if the Tampa Bay Bucks win this one because they can do it they have the weapons to do it then we have the 0 And1 Indianapolis Colts going into the 0 And1 Green Packers unfortunately week one we saw it on Friday night at the very end of the game literally the second to last play of the game Jordan love goes down luckily it's not a season ending injury he's going to be out for at least three weeks then that means that Malik Willis the guy they traded for in the off season is going to be the starter for this week now if this was Jordan love I think this would have been a very very close match knowing now it's Malik Willis I'm going to Indianapolis Colts the Colts put up a heck of a performance against CJ Stout in the Houston Texans they were right there they were back and forth shot for shot they just couldn't get the shots they needed in the end of the game to win that game so I'm going with the H the Indianapolis cols to win this one and bounce back after that week one loss then we have the New York Jets playing the Tennessee Titans both teams 0 and one this game's in Tennessee the Giants losing to the our Jets losing to the ners on Monday Night Football goes to show doesn't look like garon Rogers is ever going to beat the 49ers in his career doesn't look like it um Titans basically gave away the game against Chicago by having Levis throw the ball when he should have just been taken down to the ground and not thrown it I'm going with the Jets to win this one I think the Jets just having more even though it's a 40y old quarterback going against someone who's half almost literally half his age I just I feel I trust more Rogers to win this game he's not going to cost them to lose this game if anything their defense is going to have to step up big time because they still have some decent weapons in Tennessee it's just a matter of can the offense for the Jets basically damage up that defense to the Titans good enough so that they have no shot to come back I'm going with the Jets then we have the 49ers going in to the Minnesota Vikings um both teams are one and0 um I believe I saw a stat that the ners haven't beat Minnesota in Minnesota um probably going to get the ear rung since 1990 it's 92 or 98 and it's like eight losses in a row so it's I don't think that's going to happen this time I think this 49ers team without mcaffrey now because mcaffry looks like he's going to be out now a week toe basis because he's got 10 to nus issues now in his calf which is a lot wor worse than just having a calf strain but I think they're going to be good enough they have a decent running back behind Chris mcaffer who proved it on Monday Night Football he'll be ready to go um I expect Brock Purry to play a lot better this time around especially with this Vikings defense which looked phenomenal against the Giants don't get me wrong but I just don't think that the defense for the Vikings is going to be able to stop this 49ers offense I'm going with the 49ers to win then we have the Seattle Seahawks playing against the New England Patriots this is interesting both teams are one and0 Patriots pulling off the upset against the Bengals Seattle beating their opponent pretty okayish um I do expect a lot more of a fight this time for the Patriots in terms of their opponent the Seahawks have weapons on their offense that are more comforable to um being an efficient matchup um I just don't think the Bengals historically haven't been good week in the first two weeks of the season for the last handful of years so it's much maybe much as a fluke as it was a win but I'm going with the see how Seahawks to win here I yes there's always issues when you go to the Foxboro your headset might go off you might not get the correct calls to the quarterback because again it's New England stuff goes on there but I have a feeling the Seattle Seahawks are going to win this one and it's going to be pretty close then we have the New York Giants against the Washington commanders Giants basically getting utterly destroyed in MetLife Stadium while the commanders they did lose pretty bad to the bucks but they thought they were fighting to the very end Jay Daniels looks like he is is going to be an okay quarterback for the time being it's just a matter of can they be sustainable going forward so if that's stated I am going with the Washington commanders to win this matchup then we have the Los Angeles Chargers playing against the Carolina Panthers I'm actually going to go with the Chargers on this one I don't think it's going to be close of a matchup I think the command the Chargers are just going to go out there and utterly beat the crap out of the Panthers the Panthers don't have that good of an offense their defense is not that good either um unfortunately for them they're going to be probably the number one pick again this draft or maybe number two they're going to be in one of the top two picks um Chargers should win this one pretty easily then we have the Cleveland Browns going to Jacksonville um I Jacksonville fought in their game against they had the lead against the Dolphins they blew it the away Cleveland just didn't show up they have horrible quarterback play from Deshaun Watson who I think is actually done as a quarterback in this league he's not as good as he was when Houston and back even without the allegations ever since those came out he's been under dog crap hasn't been able to even heck I could play better quarterback to him and I never played in the NFL the fact that this is a I believe this is technically in my opinion a must-win game for the Browns because if they lose you're 0 and2 the start of the year in a division where the Steelers have Justin fields at quarterback Joe burrow and Lamar you have to be in contention to win this division they order have a shot for the playoffs so I'm picking the even though I'm going to regret it I'm picking the Cleveland Browns to pull off the upset here to win this game if the Jags win they deserve it because then that'll just prove my point that the Browns are a joke of a franchise then we have the Las Vegas Raiders going to Baltimore both teams 0 one but the Ravens having the hearts of their players and fans ripped out of them by literally a toe I expect the Ravens to be angry mad and want to come out here and prove that they are the second best team in the AFC and if they should have won last week I expect them to come out here and start being like Gang Busters and just start running the ball down the throats of the Raiders expect a lot of passes to be thrown I expect Lamar to rush again for over another 100 yards expect it and expect Derrick Henry to play more significant time because he they used him for a little bit in the first half and then nothing else to the remainder of the game expect him to be used a lot more in this game and littlear rushing as well then we have the 4:00 games here we have the Rams playing against the Cardinals both 0 in1 teams Cardinals look to be maybe a possible dark Darkhorse wild card team in the NFC um while the Rams losing pukan AA who knows how long it's his knee injury but Cooper cup looks to be like Cooper cup of the old of the Super Bowl Cooper cup where he's just you give him the ball he's going to catch it he's going to get you in the end he's going to get you in that end zone you're going to win I'm going with the Rams to win this one I don't an anticipate the Cardinals T going to be using their rookie Marvin Harrison Jr a lot they should be using him I don't know why he's been open on majority of his plays if you re rewatch that game last week if you focus on Harris he's been open they're just not throwing it to him um I expect Matt Stafford to come out here and play what he has to do as long as he's got Cooper cup there that's a threat that's going to help your other weapons on your team even without pukan AA there that's going to at least open up the field for the rest of these weapons going with the Rams to win this game then we have the 425 game Steelers the one and0 Steelers surprisingly going into the Denver Broncos yes I'm a Steeler fan I picked against them because of Justin fields and I just had this feeling that he's not going to score touchdowns and I was right it literally came down to Boswell Boswell had had the second best career of his life in terms of field goals and as a stealer and he did what he had to do and they got the win now looking at this it's in Denver Mile High more than likely the players who come into Mile High are are going to get exhausted quicker just based off the altitude and the fact that there's less air um Justin Fields has been confirmed that he is going to be starting this game um I'm picking the Steelers to win this one just based off the fact that Steelers are playing a rookie quarterback in B Knicks even though Shawn payon is the quarterback a majority of the time Mike Tomlin does not lose to rookie quarterbacks he does not and with that our defense the steward defense is still one of the top defenses in this league I expect them to get at BO Knicks and get at him early as long as TJ watt T again TJ Watts the AR arguably the best player in this in the NFL on defense he timed the p a defensive snap perfectly and they called him for off sides I don't know what you can say about that but um I expect TJ watt to at least get three at minimum three sacks this game I expect that Steelers to win this one I think it's going to be close at the very end but I think the Steelers are going to win this one and we will see a touchdown this weekend then we have the other 425 matchup we have the Cincinnati Bengals going to Kansas City I'm actually going to pick Kansas City in this one I I do think the Bengals will have at least a better turnout this time I do not think they're beating the Kansas City Chiefs in Kansas they have their weapons now they have a speed deep threat and Xavier worthy they have Pacho they still have Travis Kelce they still have Pat they still have Andy Reid as long as you have the three main guys in that defense was stansky not stans's defense um whatever I forget his name but arguably his defense and only lost one major player and you still got Chris Jones on there who's still a massive threat at his age this is going to be a great game for Chiefs fans um I do again I do expect the Bengals to play a lot better but as long as you have arguably the greatest player right now in the NFL on your team you're going to win these games I expect the Chiefs to win and go to two and0 to start the year then we have the Sunday night matchup which could be a battle of the future stars of this league the Chicago Bears going against the Houston Texans um I think the Houston Texans are going to win this one and it's not going to be even close I think the Texans have the better offensive weapons I believe their defense is iffy at that but the Bears defense also got lucky winning they had the forc turnovers against a team which they were losing the entire time Houston Texans on offense usually do not in the last couple games they played they don't give away the game when they're up I expect the Texans to win this one I expect CJ stra to put up another great performance and just to set the early tone of he should be in cont ention for possibly MVP and only his second year and then we have the Monday Night Football game and the battle of the dirty birds the Atlanta Falcons going to the Philadelphia Eagles Eagles winning on a very horrible field in Brazil are now actually going to be back home for their sub their actual home opener um I expect the crowd to get crazy there um I hope the rate the Eagles fans are going to get loud get out Kurt Cousins and show that they are the second best and not the N the best at team in the NFC I had the Eagles winning this one I think they're going to play a lot better at home in their actual Stadium than they will at any our Stadium that's not theirs um I don't know if Kirk cousin if Kirk Cousins loses this game I think they're you're going to start to hear the fans clamoring for Michael penx Jr but again it'll be too early to start pennx I think needs at least a year under under his belt in the NFL to get ready but I want the I think the Eagles are going to win this one and it's not going to be close well thank you all for staying by here we went through the
