had a couple it was nice yeah it was very very nice but speaking of nice uh the New York Yankees have not played too nice especially against the Nationals um that all changes hopefully tonight as the Yankees are going to be welcoming the saint Louis Cardinals into Yankee Stadium we'll have a couple of NYU team members over there tonight uh watching that ball game but when it comes to the national series this is I think what scares everybody about this club is because you really have no clue what the hell you're going to get you don't know what this team some days we we be in our group chat being like man they can win it they can win it they could win it then there's other days you're like like it's like a first round exit bro like I just don't know like they're teasing the [ __ ] out of us here nobody wants to run away with anything nobody cares about running away with anything uh nobody's really pulling ahead I mean they're game and a half up now over uh the Baltimore Orioles but I don't even know I don't know what to say anymore about this team like there's there's no level of consistency anymore and it's it's terrible yeah no you're you're 100% right bro I mean it's tough right I mean I I saw tweet yesterday that obviously I I just I I definitely don't agree with but you know cuz these people come out every after one of these performances and they they immediately feel like they have to like chill for the team some fans and I I can't stand it and this this kid basically posted like look if you're if you don't believe the Yankees have a shot at the World Series or whatever like that you're not a real fan that you know that not a real yeah not a real fan trying to tell people how to fan or what I I don't I don't like that stuff and it gets me mad because it's like bro how you get mad at any fan for not knowing how to feel you know what I'm saying for not knowing you know which way to lean on with this team bro like some days you know they go on runs where it just looks like damn man I mean this really could be the year like and you know to their credit I I put it under a post that Johnny put up I want to say uh two days ago where he basically put up all the all the the teams that are considered playoff teams right now and if you look at it um I think it was about 10 maybe whatever 12 teams something like that but if you looked at those names it seems like these are going to be the 12 that are there when everything's said and done and you look at it and the records are separated by maybe eight games total from top to bottom which is crazy like the parody in the League this season is crazy so basically I put I put under that post though I was like well when you look at this it does actually encourage you as a Yankees fan because outside of that Dodger series and the struggle with uh Baltimore the Yankees have handled pretty much every team on that list but and that's the thing right when you that's very encouraging but then you look at how they played against the Angels then you look at how they played against you know Chicago that first night then you look how they played against the uh the Nationals this last series and it's like how is this the same team like how can I sit here and say they're gonna win a World Series when they can't beat the Nets it's bro it's it's difficult because every every one of those games was very very winnable um against the Nationals we all know that it was it was as clear as they that they could have easily won these games the Nationals pen shut him down everybody really shut him down they couldn't hit they they couldn't get multiple hits in a row they couldn't really string together nothing um you know I guess that's also kind of what happens when you know you got SoDo who has a series when he doesn't do anything and it's and that's not a on Soto that's kind of saying the flaws of this club if Soto and judge aren't carrying the load carrying his team what the freak do you do you know what I mean like who else is there to really step up and we're getting closer and closer um and and a lot of this show is going to be about guys coming back but there's a couple of them that we really don't know so Sunday which is designated spit his day which probably going to be a really really good episode because we're going to know a lot of information about this club who's going to be up are we going to see Jason Dominguez or are the Yankees going to Simply go we're good let him go ahead and just stay in triple a no problem let him rot let him rot in triple a no big deal because here's my here's my main issue and Christian said this last night on nyst and it's it really sums up everything nobody could get mad at this yankee team if they truly played all their best players if they truly said we're putting our best 26 out there the fact that the manager of the New York Yankees Aaron Boone and again I know you know Aaron Boone basically clowns himself with his post games he really does like He makes himself like a walking Target and go yeah guys go ahead you know shoot arrows at me I'm right here come on hit me with it the dude came out and basically said there's not LAN for all these guys because their rotation and roster and all this is so good everything is fine they just DFA ton it they put on a dude who got a 15 plus ER and they're sitting there going with guys like Mesa in the pen there's no room right now for R Ross there's no Lane open there's no Lane for Jason Dominguez it is bat [ __ ] crazy yeah no it's absolutely it's absolutely nuts and and it's it's on a nightly basis at this point I you know I've been joking the last couple week every time it's happening once a week and literally when it happens I just tweet once a week once a week they have to embarrass themselves like utterly just embarrass themselves and throw up all over themselves it's once a week and it's been every season under Aaron Boon and again I know the Boon apologist out there they're not going to like it because they want to defend him and oh he's a good guy and whatever it's not his fault or what but it's like when are you guys going to wake up like at some point the blame does have to go to him because when they lose because they look unprepared because they're sloppy defensively because the lineup was bad from the start like who else do you blame fundamentals yeah who else are you gonna blame oh but Cashman builds the okay yes we know Cashman builds the team yeah know that Cashman and his merry band of nerds build the lineup we get that we get that but preparedness being on the field looking like the Bad News Bears that's manager [ __ ] I don't care like you can't you can't not absolve Boon you from the team playing sloppy and looking lack aasal out there and G looking like they're giving away at bats and stuff like that or whatever to me that's a that's manager stuff motivate the team guys wake it up we can't we came out to DC to lose a series to the Nationals yeah we're not we're not in a race for this Division I mean look I I said something I said something the other day and you you know Francis you know this as much as I do I mean we were we were told by somebody very much into the know together that uh Aaron judge tries to lead this team a lot but he doesn't have somebody else with him he doesn't have the other other piece of that that pushes that message or is is is part of the backbone uh you know this is a guy right now who a lot of us have been upset about based off his leadership of what we see but according to people in the know he is very much a leader in the clubhouse he is very much vocal in the clubhouse he just does not have the other guy that is there with him which kind of UPS that's me because judge does come across as one of those guys that will simply just say well I got it you don't got to wor I'll handle it don't worry about it I got it don't worry about it I could do more guys when when uh nobody in the lineup's hitting besides me and stto we could do more I mean you know I I'm hitting 330 but I could probably hit 360 I mean I could instead of hitting 60 homas this year I could probably hit about 82 in reality there's a couple of pitches that I probably could have hit out that helps everybody else out you know he's not one of those guys is going to throw anybody under the bus and all that but this team got to get their head on right and they they got to hone in on the goal which is winning you know I I'll share this with you guys I was talking to to Mario last night and Mario brought up a really good point you know when it comes to the weaknesses of the Yankees there's some teams out there that we might look at and go in a postseason matchup I'm not that scared of them because of the name but when you dive in and you look at that club but how we match up with them it's scary and one of those teams are the Kansas City Royals I was going to say they're a team that steals like wild they're a wild base stealing animal of a club and they got a lot of guys who can run on that team Baltimore showed it against us one time where they were looking to steal they were beating soft grounders out a lot can go wrong for the Yankees as can a lot go right but yeah I think when you really dive into it you look around the roster at this club currently and the craziest thing is we've kind of been saying this since like June that by the end of the year the roster could look very different and we're still saying that and it's August 30th and they still have a chance to have a very different looking roster it's nuts it's nuts man I you know I mean I think while we're live here we might get some news it's normally around this time that the things come out but yeah honestly I'm hoping to hear something I mean I just saw the Patriots posted that uh birdie Hamilton uh Rizzo all those guys are still you know down on their team and pl they're scheduled to play with them through the weekend so so we're not getting any of those guys but it's like I mean with Dominguez at this point I I don't know what the holdup is and and it goes back to the point that you were making before bro we're not we're not asking for much like I don't I'm not getting mad because it's just just because we're losing it's it's the reasons behind the losses like I'm mad because we're losing and you continue to give Travino opportunities why correct why correct makes why is it like in August 30th and Austin Wells still hasn't shown you guys enough I don't like what else does he average 387 on base percentage 491 slugging that's the track record that I'm paying most most attention to is that one right there is that if you're the Yankees and you end up facing a team in the postseason that maybe has more Lefty starters or they say hey the Yankees weaknesses they don't hit lefties well we're going to make sure we pile up lefties on this team that's what we're going to do can you imagine the Yankees lose a playoff series and Austin Wells maybe starts one game I mean can you like really imag your third arguably you can make make a real argument that he has been the third best hitter on the club and they're platooning him think about this a team who has gotten no offense from barely anybody else Wells starts to produce and the Yankees are trying their best to figure out a way not to put this guy's bat into the lineup every single day think about that it's kakami and this is why we get upset that's why you know I as a fan like bro I get I get tight because I'm literally I'm watching I'm investing my time I'm watching these games I got on Game season you're there calling them live like bro we're invested like this is why you know people come you know to NYU they like what we do because we we're knowledgeable whatever but we're not knowledgeable just because we wake up in the morning and the stats just float into our heads we're knowledgeable because we're watching every freaking game we're watching every pitch we're reading on the stats we're reading articles we're following the team at an insane level and we we're seeing all this stuff that somehow Aaron Boon acts like he just can't see and and judge said it in the offseason maybe we're looking at the wrong numbers whatever clearly clearly you're looking at the wrong numbers clearly they are looking at the wrong numbers it just doesn't it doesn't make any sense and and and and for anybody arguing no but there's no argument anymore I love the the postgame season uh for at the end of game three where you and John I had a freaking ball because we laugh at the same time Boon couldn't look like more of a buffoon in that the night before horrible you won't pitch hit DJ lahu because he brought up all the numbers everything defend record and numbers and whatever the very next day not even 24 hours later not even 24 hours later it just felt like the right move I mean what are we doing Yankees do not win the division and they end up in a wild card series facing a team with two halfway decent left-handed starting pitchers that team is going to put them game one and game two and it's going to be a long two days for the New York Yankees yep that's right very much you know how you know the embarrassment that that would be to go in the Wild Card series and get ousted in two straight games because the team you fac just put two lefties out there and just let him go and you guys made him look like uh Randy Johnson or some [ __ ] yep the one guaranteed year that you have Juan stto that why is Wells not getting the Reigns here it just it it it's there's there's no there's no explanation for it when you look at it I mean all the arguments for the Travino truthers out there all of those arguments have fallen all of them the arm no the defense no the hitting no all of it's gone the framing which used to be their bread and butter Wells is like it's a fraction it's right there it's too obvious now it's to the point where if wants to keep his Integrity as a radio personality he just can't you know he can't do it cuz I mean it's it's nuts um but like I said they telling themselves I mean Brian Cashman has literally said and you can it's it's out there he's literally said no uh you know Boon is the manager and he can make decisions but he has to be able to explain those DEC and it's like wait wait wait wait wait wait that says a lot more than most people think it does and most people are going to just hear that like yeah he should have to explain no no no no no no no no but he shouldn't though because if you're hiring a manager that you trust to lead the product on the field and you're the general manager and your job is building the product on the field not managing how they are deployed but building it then why should the manager have to explain to you why he does a lineup or the decision like that I get a player playing versus a player not playing stuff like that for a prolonged period of time you might have a question there like hey like uh why so and so not getting any playing time what's up with that I get that but for him to say like yeah any decision like all those decisions lineup decisions how you do the bullpen how all that stuff he can he can deviate he said he can deviate from the plan that we set out he just has to have an explanation for that to me tells you everything you need to know because if you're a manager and they're handing you a plan and if you deviate from that plan you have to have a good as [ __ ] explanation and it better freaking work mind you their plan can fail nine times out of 10 it doesn't matter doesn't matter yeah that's the process remember they're following the process matters so their plan can fail but if you deviate from their plan and you fail you're done you're on your own basically that's what they're of we're gonna make you escape goat so of course Boon is in a situation where he's gonna play DJ Le Mayu every day if that's the if that's the directive if that's the directive he's getting from Cashman DJ needs to play then he's gonna play him every day why because if he batters this is Verdugo with his 234 average it's 655 Ops my point here is we've been waiting all year to see Dominguez play only last year there was only one week that was good when Dominguez was hitting so I think that's a real lack of respect Yankees have for the fans other things that happen the Yankees lose on important games they lost on opening day they lost on Oldtimer day they lost all four games to the Mets their biggest rival there are fans who buy their tickets solely for those games there was one game back in July where Boon rested his lefties after the Yankees had lost to the Mets already in the first few games and he said he wanted to give the lefties a day that's the reason it was the game he started JD Davis and Jami Jones well that was on a Tuesday and he wanted to give the lefties a rest if you looked at the schedule the Yankees were going to be off anyway on a Thursday so that's my point I really miss George steinbrener because he was a true fan I'm a Yankee fan but I want the Yankees organization to show a lot more respect for the true fans the way you do Pete take care bye damn I mean what do you say what do you say about that nice message at the end I
