Hour 2: Dane Mizutani talks Jaren Hall with the Minnesota Vikings | Tough to find a reason to car...

let's get out of his own phone he covers the Vikings for the Pioneer Press Dane mizutani with us here on Jake and Ben Dane thanks for a few minutes how are you good how you guys doing Dane quickly as we get to know you I see you were born in Hawaii and chose to live in Minnesota that was a choice yeah I actually grew up in Illinois family still back in Hawaii but parents split when I was little and I guess I figured wasn't cold enough so I I kept going north but yeah have been here about 15 years now well before we get to jiren Hall can you give us an idea of I guess the culture of that division of the NFL because like you're saying you're talking about Chicago we're talking about Wisconsin we're talking about Minnesota I mean it is the brutal of the brutal weather that our country has to offer what does that bring out of these teams that you've noticed as you've covered them yeah I mean I think just generally speaking um it's just brought a a level of intensity that that you kind of seem to see weak in and week out over the course of a season um I don't know if I'll go as far as to say like it it kind of transcends into Big 10 football style of play where you see guys just loaded up and and run the ball certainly that at times in the past the Vikings have have relied on the ground game with with Adrien Peterson uh but obviously they've had Randy Moss they have Justin Jefferson now so I'm not saying the the weather dictates the the style of play um but I think it creates just inherent rivalries when you have these these intense games that are oftentimes played in you know subzero temperatures Soldier Field Lambo field um we're lucky here we get to play in a dome so can't complain about that but yeah just just a good rivalry all around and in the NFC North is obviously an ascending division maybe the best in football right now how has uh Kurt Cousins departure gone over with the Viking faithful uh I think it's pretty split Kurt Cousins was a pretty polarizing guy he had people who were going to ride or die for him no matter what um and he had people who thought he was a good not good enough type of quarterback so I think there is that section of of fans that probably no matter what happens is going to say ah they should have just found a way to get cousins back on the roster um but I'm in kind of the camp of you you have to move forward and it's really unfortunate with what happened with JJ McCarthy but there's a plan in place here and it's been in place for a couple of years um and I think part of that plan was eventually moving on from you know a mid-30 year old quarterback uh who maybe has played his best football now coming off an ailles injury so he's a polarizing guy but I think overall I would say half the fan base is probably living in the past half the fan base is excited about the future um it's pretty F 5050 split what was the expectation for JJ McCarthy I know when you draft the guy in the first round there's a chance that he's got to start right away and you look at Caleb Williams and you look at BO Nicks and some of these guys who have already won these jobs and success of CJ strad last year was that the expectation that he was going to be the guy or was he ever really competing for the job I think it was always Sam darnold's job to be the week one starter um I think JJ McCarthy the momentum was certainly building he's had a great training camp uh I should say he had had a great training camp because now he's no longer out there on the field but he's he performed really well in training camp and then everyone saw what he did in preseason game one against the Raiders and I think the excitement was building across Minnesota the momentum was building for when are we gonna see this guy under Center but truthfully when push came to shove I think Sam darnold was always going to be the guy to get the nod into early stages of the Season obviously the the entire thing was when is JJ going to play so that would have been a storyline that we got pretty much every week and now we don't have that it's pretty much Sam darnold's job unquestionably moving forward what do they like about jiren Hall I think they like just like he's as professional as a guy as you're gonna see um he's a guy who he carries himself like he's been in the league for 10 years um he's a he's a good study partner in that room um and I think just like he really fits into that culture that the Vikings are trying to kind of build I think there are limit ations to what jiren Hall can do on the football field but I I think he was also put in a really tough spot last year probably being asked to play when maybe he wasn't ready to play so I'm not ready to judge his entire career arc on what we saw um you know or what we didn't see when when he got under Center last year in in live game action um but I think he's a really bright kid um you you won't find a player in the room that has a bad word to say about him um and and he showed in the preseason game against the Browns over the weekend he's really starting to grasp this offense I thought it was as comfortable as he's looked in in a Vikings uniform and obviously it's a preseason game so he's not going against the ones um but I think Ascension is always something you're looking for in young players and I think they're seeing that with jiren Hall um I don't know what that means long term I don't know if maybe they hope to groom him into a a backup quarterback or if he's just kind of a practice squad guy for the foreseeable future um but I know they like him and and he's he certainly has a skill set and and something to offer the Vikings yeah I guess that's my next question is is he guaranteed a roster spot even because he was already behind McCarthy and then behind darnold by what you're saying and they brought in Nick Mullen again I mean Nick Mullen is still around so what is the expectation for jiren Holland his ability to even just make this this 53 man roster yeah I think a lot of what happens with jiren Hall will hinge on other positions and what I'm saying is I think in a perfect world or if the Vikings could just keep all the players they want to keep they would just keep jiren Hall on the 53 man roster because they value what he brings um they have the obviously an emergency quarterback Rule now and um I I I think I don't know if Jaren Hall would get claimed off of waivers but the Vikings have put so much work into the kid over the last two years that if they were to W cut him and you were to get clammed off of waivers I think they would feel a bit like that was you know a waste on their part to to develop him and then just to kind of expose him to the rest of the league but what I'm saying when I say his spot on the roster hinges on other roster spots is I I do think if if we're splitting hairs and if the Vikings want to keep an extra cornerback or they feel they need a little bit more depth here on the edge or you're looking in the trenches and and they're you know deciding between should we keep a a young defensive lineman a young offensive lineman or or jiren Hall I think they might take the risk of saying you know let's cut him maybe we can get him to the practice squad um I don't know who's using a waiver claim on jiren hall right now um but I know you know it's always a risk so are the Vikings willing to take that risk we'll see um but I like I said I think he's he's had a really good training camp and his performance the other day in the preseason I think obviously increased his chances of of making this team in a couple of weeks now obviously you're on the air in Salt Lake City and so the Utah Jazz are a big topic of conversation and they are in the middle of a rebuild and Ben and I have spent the painstaking summer talking about if it would be advantageous for them to trade Lowry marinin or not so in that uh in that vein should uh Minnesota consider trading Justin Jefferson because he does not fit in the window no no way no way he's too good and I think it's a little different in the NBA where you can trade one guy with hopes of you know maybe getting worse in the short term you know if you traded if if the Jazz traded lry marinin this year they'd put themselves in really good contention to get Cooper flag next year if you get Cooper flag you're instantly a good team in two years it's different in the NFL if you trade Justin Jefferson who is to me the best receiver in the NFL to some arguably the best receiver in the NFL like I just don't see the vision like it's it's hard to turn the team around in in a couple of years with just a couple of draft picks so I think the goal in the NFL in terms of just roster construction building a team for the long-term future of the franchise get as many good players as you can um and and Justin Jefferson is one of the best players in the NFL so no chance I'm ever tradeing that guy um Vikings won't trade him either they just gave him more money than God so uh he you know he's he's going to be around for a really long time what what is the Hope for the Vikings this year because they're not the Packers they're certainly not the Lions and they may not be the Bears so like what what what's the hope for the season what's a good year look like I think a good year looks like be competitive right around 500 and take your chances maybe be in that playoff race towards the end I I don't know if they're going to be good enough to win the division because I think the Lions have just taken another step um and I think the pack with Jordan love taking another step are are more dangerous than the Vikings but I do think if the Vikings are able to get something out of Sam darnold and that's a big if because we haven't seen it much in his career um just very very short glimpses here and there but if the Vikings are able to get something out of Sam darnold this year I I think there's Talent across the roster where they could flirt with a nine and8 record and maybe that's good enough to get a wild card spot in the NFC I I don't think and I think there are people out there who do think that the Vikings are going to be one of the worst teams in football four wins five wins I think there's too much talent there um so I don't think that that's even remotely in the in the question of of you know possibilities that could happen I think when you just look at the top to bottom Talent we've talked about Justin Jefferson I think the defense will be improved um you don't need Sam darn to go out there and be you know Brady in his prime you just need him to not turn the ball over a lot and that's been an issue for him at times in the past but if they can kind of re him in get the most out of him um it's the most Talent Sam darnold's had to work with I think this team could could flirt with the playoff um one side or the other it's a razor that which which side are they G to end up on I don't know but I I think they'll be hovering right around 500 for most of the Year Dane we appreciate you jumping on with us man thanks a lot no problem guys anytime enjoy the season that's uh Dane MIT uh mitsutani he covers the Vikings for the Pioneer Press yeah born in Hawaii then to Illinois then to Minneapolis that's a that's a weather change for sure I mean he's got a job he's working he's working in sports so life's not terrible which is awesome and Minneapolis is fine and that arena is incredible uh it's one of the few NFL Arenas I've been to but it is enormous and awesome and Minnesota's great town so that's very cool but uh yeah that's tough It's a it's a weird a division that was not all that competitive all that often I love it that you just can't help it yourself but by slipping in Bears propaganda at every turn you just you assume that the Bears are going to be better than the Vikings they should be yes they absolutely should be then it's the Bears it's important to remember that the Bears didn't have the number one overall pick because they were the worst team in football last year that was from the trade the previous year now they did have like the fourth pick whatever so it wasn't like they were good but uh the Bears are a little bit closer than you think they are not I don't think they're as good as the Packers and they're certainly not as good as the Lions they're not as good as the Vikings either I bet you they finish with a better record than the Lions good no not the Lions excuse me than the Vikings I know I you're convinced because of hard KNX that the Bears are going to be good you need to you need to remind yourself that the Bears are the Bears they are the bears that is a problem and fingernails hasn't won a single game he's three and0 and so you're assuming that they're going to be My Lan two and0 in the preseason look out I I forgot about the Hall of Fame game you're right three and oh I mean the Bears may never lose again get get that bust guy working for uh for old fingernails Hall of bust make sure you make the right hall of bust Caleb Williams turning into an actual bust at this point would be quite disappointing we have a Vikings guy on and Ben is just slandering the Vikings by assuming that the the the Bears are going to be better jiren Hall might be better than any quarterback on the Bears roster Caleb Williams is gonna be awesome it's I is if he stays healthy he's gonna be awesome he's he just got it he does uh as as bizarre as the weird stuff he did and you know not coming out to talk to players after losses Etc I think some of that might have been on stink and Riley I think there were some issues there and I would like to see some maturity if that doesn't plague him in the NFL which is not a zero if but if that doesn't plague him in the NFL he's gonna be special he's awesome yeah people like you were saying the same thing about Sam darnold and now what what is your opinion two of the most incomparable players nothing alike both quarterbacks that went to USC and were picked at the top five and had hype coming out of their ears that's the only combination that's the only comp between those two like that that's like the exact same player except for they play so dissimilarly and Caleb Williams is the best draft prospect to come in at that position since Andrew Luck he's awesome he can he can make all the throws he can beat you with his legs if you make him stick in the pocket I think he can still beat you I'm excited I'm drinking the Caleb the Caleb Kool-Aid you were saying that about Bryce young last year I was not either in fact I liked CJ strad better than Bryce young and I was right about it I was I like CJ since Andrew Luck at that position who am I missing Trevor Lawrence okay Trevor Lawrence that combo too saying that about Sam darnold five years ago same stuff going to be a star USC guy in fact I've heard that about every USC quarterback you watch them all fail so Carson Palmer was good 20 years ago 20 years ago when the Bengals were relevant we this a million times wasn't wasn't Mark sanchis the number six pick or something like that he was a USC quarterback at the very least and everybody's like oh this guy's gonna change the sport Kens lovis I mean there was still talk of keen slovis getting drafted in the NFL last year because he had he was the USC quarterback for 10 minutes yep but yet Caleb is going to change the game he can change the game makes them instant better than the Vikings he might he actually might and they've got a good team around him that's a good roster great receiving core so he's got a lot of man I can't wait till the bears stink I just can't wait till the their offensive line stinks they stink and that's the problem if your offensive line stinks it doesn't matter what else you do when their offensive line probably stinks so that's going to hurt them and I'm excited I like that division i' I've always been a a weird Vikings fan I don't know why I don't know if it was Randy Moss when I was a kid or what I've always kind of liked the Vikings I always thought that was a cool team I like the Lions because they were lovable losers now they're good and they're fun to watch and I'm excited to watch Green Bay with Jordan love so that's a cool Division I will be tracking that Division and my beloved Caleb is playing there as well so beloved gonna change the game best pro uh Prospect since Bart Star yeah probably probably better all right yeah the hall ofst guy better get to work get Caleb ready he's going in he's going to Canon get working on it his name is Blair buswell and he makes busts well bus bus bu W still that's incredible pretty close when the BYU played running back in 1982 alongside Steve Young buswell buswell not busts what's his first name name Blair Bill Blair Blair he talented guy might as well change it to Bear bus well uh get to work on cayb Williams there you go I like that I think wouldn't you if if you were really the guy that that does all these busts and your name was buswell wouldn't you pull a a Joe thasan and just put the tea in there just put it just drop it in there just put the like it's marketing genius bust well yeah I do the busts bust well yeah B I bust well I do them well extremely well the best that just seems like a basic to me best bust well change your first name to best it's right there on my it's right there on my business card best best well I do it this guy should take our idea and honestly run with it no he should like carve us off a couple of points okay as bust well becomes famous best bust Well's best bust like we shouldn't have to have Christian Google his name we should just know oh that's Blair buswell of course everyone knows it of course everybody does name's bust well he does the busts it should be it should be yeah it shouldn't you shouldn't hear the the crackle of the keyboard as we scramble to find his name yeah it should just be oh yeah bust well blah blah blah and his L blog blog ah it's Blair buswell best bust he's changed the whole thing yeah that's a layup what's he doing what an idiot God Joe theeman went like 24 years of his life being known by thian has one hyped up season in Notre Dame now for the rest of the all time his name's Theisman Heisman because the rhymes with Heisman easy easy marketing easy marketing now Joe's a legend but Blair buswell is a nobody but I would ask you I would ask you right I'd be like hey who did uh Lawrence Taylor end the career of I mean you're going right to thyman and his compound fracture correct where Lawrence burst up and started waving the medical personnel on the onto the field because he felt the thien's uh leg collapse Underneath Him and heard the screamy have you ever seen that Christian all right yeah yeah everyone's seen that that's one of the clips that's one of the clips everyone's seen once yeah once hopefully once except for hands he's really sick when it comes to that stuff well he'll go back to it he'll revisit it watch it over and over again and they want the exact medical explanation as to what happened which makes me cringe every time horrible now I'm going to Google it what bone did Lawrence Taylor shatter of Joe theeman bust well that's that's there that's it Blair bro buswell throw a te in there you've seen all the weird coincidences between thyman and Alex Smith's injury no okay both broke their right tibia and fibula both broke it on November 18th oh wow both played for the same team yeah in the same city uh both on the 39 yd line the final score in both games 23-21 both cus by three time Defensive Player of the Year Award winners one was Lawrence Taylor one was JJ Watt just like weird uh both of them were missing their starting left tackle due to injuries which is yeah that's crazy yeah but theeman didn't come back correct Alex Smith came back did you see the picture of his leg last week I don't want to see it just still not not right probably will be had to get skin grafts all kinds of stuff because of the infection yeah it's unbelievable by the way shout out to Hance olssen um buswell did Merlin statue on the Utah State campus best buswell that's awesome well that's right because when you need to honor a man like Merlin you go to the best yeah you don't do you go to bust well you don't kind of you know you could tell that's that's really was his energy you know what I mean and with with aie I'm sure singing is the same thing their natural state in in a weird way it's not the resting that you see them it's everything it's on stage is where they are who they are and I'm telling you he he didn't dance he didn't move much I bet he didn't do a whole lot talking in between uh songs but man he still hit the notes like elen John is a thousand years old last time I saw him Ben I mean those fingers still were Magic on that piano you know what I mean I bet anyway that's what I always think of uh think of Aussie I was surprised with how good he sounded I Jake like everybody am excited for college football to start I wish our three teams had some actual opponents be nice to a more interesting game with all due respect to Southern Utah with all due respect uh Utah is I didn't know that was your Alma the Thunderbirds the mighty t- Birds proud graduat did you did you get after it down there in Cedar I have a funny Cedar City story that I can't tell on the air but did you have a good time uh I love my t- birds yeah okay we were very bad at football when I was down there was it well attended for the first two seasons yeah and then it really fell off and then it went South yeah all right is there anything you're looking to take I mean honestly Utah State Robert Morris might be the most interesting just because they've I don't know have no idea what to expect none of it's interesting that's why big picture stuff is more interesting than game one stuff like I I thought uh David and Pat did a nice uh breakdown today you know talking about the big 12 and what the race is going to be like I mean it seems like everybody's high on Utah but if not Utah then who who would you say Kansas State Oklahoma State I mean I I wish that was exciting to say that's who the teams are that's the obvious Teams Arizona yeah I mean is there a dark horse Arizona Central Florida Central Florida's really be Iowa State you know like that's Utah schedule sets up for them extraordinarily nicely they have to win their first two games in league and that's it and they've got and if they do they should be off and running they should be sailing like that was never the case in the Pack 12 in fact you split those and you're probably in really good shape that was never the case with Utah in the Pack 12 they always had multiple games in November that were really consequential for some reason they always played Oregon in November yeah not always but it felt like there were a lot of consequential Oregon games in uh in November and I granted they always closed out November with Colorado who was always terrible but seemed like they had some really good games closing the stretch that and the Pack 12 did that on purpose to help to decide the league yeah I mean Utah last year closes the season and I know USC was not didn't end up being awesome USC was ranked in the top 20 when Utah faced them and I think they ended up they missed a bll game right USC did did they they didn't go I don't know if they missed it they just collapsed down the stretch Su but USC was number 18 ranked when Utah played them and Utah did beat them but yeah Utah had a run of USC Oregon Arizona state was the easy game at Washington and then at Arizona and Arizona was very good at that point was just like a really brutal stretch for Utah I'm not sure they have that this year like you mentioned you play Oklahoma State and your big 12 opener even though you've already played Baylor at home meaning in Salt Lake City and then you get Arizona back in Salt Lake City Arizona's coming off a buy that's pretty brutal for Utah actually but you get through those you split those and yeah Arizona State TCU Houston with sandwiched by like the three worst teams in the league sandwiched by by weeks oh yeah gonna Gonna Roll through it you're G to be in really good shape and then you come back against BYU it's going to be a long week BYU uh and BYU will be hard game regardless because it's always a hard game regardless um that's why Whit really hated playing against BYU going into League because he always felt that they were bit beat up in game number one but yeah I mean Utah BYU and Utah State all get a byee on the same weekend I Iowa State Iowa State and UCF could could be formidable by the end of the year and that's their last two games but Colorado I think's going to sting yeah you I mean you loved Deon you loved him last year you and Mitch were telling me what a I was and that turned out to be a lot of fluff Colorado I do think shador shador shador shador I do think shador is talented I think he is yeah no question and Travis Hunter obviously is good but the fact that they still play him both ways is ridiculous I thought playing him both ways actually lost them games last year you remember how he was just getting beat like crazy on defense over and over again cuz he was so dang tired and Dion wouldn't yeah Dion wouldn't pull him out b game they lost to Stanford you know I mean they only went 4 and eight last year it wasn't like the Stanford game alone was the difference but yeah you lost to Stanford and they lost all their Mojo yeah I don't I don't care who you are if I'm the other team I'm throwing it at the guy who's playing the whole game there's no way that guy's not tired they were three and no they were four- two after beating Arizona State and were up by 20 against Stanford in the first half right and then they just said I just throw the ball at Travis Hunter every position every possession yeah uh he's exhausted he can't can't catch up to our guys and then they lost out and they had a tough stretch but yeah they washed they Lo they lost out uh is Colorado gonna be competing for a bowl game because their schedule after Utah does get brutal they play Utah they go at Kansas and then they're at home against Oklahoma State so if they don't have it locked up by Utah if they don't have six wins they're probably not going bowling Ben Colorado is going to lose to North Dakota state right out of the game you think so I I think well I don't know they could North Dakota St one of those really good yeah they could and they could lose at Nebraska and they could easily lose at Colorado State it's the last time they're going to Colorado State ever and they rarely go to uh Fort Collins anyway there's a chance that they could go 0 and3 in non- League games I don't know if I'd bet on that but there's a chance that they could go 0 and three could you imagine if Dion doesn't get his first win until a month into the season or later I mean well yeah I mean I I mean I think Baylor stinks I think this is the last year we see Dave Randa there but I'm not guaranteeing that Colorado beats Baylor even in a homecoming game then they're at Central Florida I just told you Central Florida I think is going to be good you've got a bye-week you come back against Kansas state who's good then at Arizona who's good like they might legitimately start one and six I would bet two and five if they're really if they're two and five there's no way they're making a Bull game because again their last three weeks are Utah Kansas Oklahoma State this is pure hot take but if they're that bad I think there's a chance that Dion quits before the year's over steps away I don't think Colorado would fire him but I think in a I'm going to hit reset on the video game before we finish kind of way be like I'm not going to damage my I guess that would only happen maybe if his kids got hurt because he probably would he probably wouldn't bail on his kids does shador step away if it goes that if it goes that far south and he just says Hey guys cuz you're just Dam All I'm gonna do is get hurt by playing with this horrible offensive line we piece together once again why would I risk being the number one overall pick in next year's draft or whatever he's expected to be top you know certainly a first-rounder why would I risk that for mercenary Right Guard who I've turned off because we're just throwing our offensive line under the bus every chance we get they all they that's what he did all year last year I can't imagine why anybody had go play Old Line why would I risk that why would I risk my future and my career to play yeah I want to figure out who Utah's leading uh pass rusher is the third to final week of the season when we can't make a bowl game the entire Sanders family just moves out of Colorado yeah we're relocated to the training facility Shor gets into his Bentley and they you go isn't that what he's driving around the Bentley there's a non zero% chance that happens he doesn't finish the season at Colorado period man that'd be a bad look and exactly what would feel on par for what this whole situation has been which has been it's always been about bettering Dion and I know that Colorado was around and it kind of propped them up a little bit because you were there I still can't get over some of the questions he got at Big 12 media day well the first question was the best Dion I know you've changed college football for the better irreversibly perfected college football thank you and that was it that was the question I have a second question would you consider yourself the best coach or the greatest coach now I know you haven't done anything I can Define the two for you that was fun they're both Dion That's how I Define them anyways next question and then Dion said no let me address your first question thank you for recognizing everything I've done for college football you're right that does make me the best but also the greatest now go buy my sunglasses they're only 29.95 yeah it was weird it was very strange I wish that was an exaggeration that was what the first guy asked basically yeah so first of all I just want to my first question is I want to thank you for everything you've done for for me personally what what the hell are you talking about it would be so weird to be Dion I mean just watching him walk around that facility you know down on the field for I he he was there for probably like 20 minutes 15 maybe and the circus that just surrounded him the whole time was so bizarre it would the stands and everyone knew where he was hiding in the stands as well so weird to be that guy it was kind of funny to watch he and Tom Homo yuck it up because they're old buds old buds from the Bay Area it's going to go badly for Colorado who has better record BYU or Colorado oh BYU I think so too yeah absolutely BYU BYU's got five wins I don't think Colorado has five wins the question for BYU's do they get six seven I there's no there's not a pathway for I don't think for Colorado to get to six or seven wins unless Shor is truly lights out he was great last year sometimes um and then the second games of the Season become really interesting for our local teams after denigrating Christians Southern Utah uh obviously BYU at SMU Utah at home against Baylor because again I think Baylor's a joke and Utah state has to go play at Big 10 power USC stinking Riley man that would be fun to see uh Utah State stun USC beat old stinking take it at least take the game to the fourth quarter oh they I think they're going to be so bad in the Big 10 not that the Big 10 is a is a juggernaut they're a topheavy league but USC is not going to adapt well to the style of play and I don't think it's going to go well and they lost the greatest quarterback world the to change us back to sports I'm really just curious about these schedules cuz we talked about southern Utah Southern Illinois and Robert Morris being lacking some Pizzazz for week one what's Utah States week two or week one USC USC that's probably Utah State uh BYU SMU is a great super fascinating yeah and I'm actually curious about Utah Baylor though Utah if is if they're as good as the expectation is should just put a hurting on see that game annoys me not because of Utah Baylor but that it's a conference game non-conference game I don't that just that just annoys me you know whose schedule I am thrilled about this year it is USC it is stinking Riley I'm gonna watch every USC game this year I didn't do that when they were in the Pack 12 they start with LSU they get you to State week two they have a byee they come back at Michigan Wisconsin at Minnesota home against Penn State it it loses a little uh a little luster they don't get Oregon which I think they should have made all those teams play each other the new Big 10 team team but they do go at Washington on November 2nd I want to know if they play any cold weather road games by the way USC did make a blll game last year because they started out six and0 and then they won their bulll game but they only won one game over the final six weeks of the season oh man USC doesn't have any cold weather games that's too bad at Washington November two I mean it could be raining but it's not going to be like like Wisconsin cold that's what I'm yeah that's true they they and they stay West you want Midwest cold yeah I want Ann Arbor cold Nebraska's not going to be warm they're home against that's home yeah yeah oh yeah that's home at Maryland October 19th okay you're right they gave him a deal they played nice no we want to see him go to an arbor on the last game of the season well that's not going to happen second to last game of the season Minnesota are they playing Outdoors still yeah go to Minnesota second to last game of the season October it's beautiful that's the best time that's the only time you do want to be in Minnesota gorgeous perfect not even humid the only good time it's like the only week of the whole year that it's nice to be in Minneapolis beautiful fall when I was up there it was great fall for 10 minutes yeah colors are changing I hope we have a long fall I'm excited for it here I this this rain has gotten me really geeked for the fall I'm I'm ready for the college football I haven't quite gotten the that that smell of the wet grass in the morning I haven't quite felt that that fall feeling I I suspect it will come in the next what 10 days until Utah kicks off on Thursday night 11 days I'm excited for that I'm excited for that feeling that's always my sign that I know what's
