hey everyone today I'll be showing you how to troubleshoot Master page formatting issues on the Windows Ms word and here's out go to the insert tab click on header or footer and select edit header or edit footer make sure that the link to previous option is selected you want the same header or footer across multiple sections go to the design tab under header and footer tools ensure that different first page and different odd and even Pages options are configured as needed identify and correct section brakes switch to draft View and Under The View tab look for Section brakes next page continuous even page OD page and ensure they are placed correctly remove or adjust section brakes if they are causing unexpected formatting changes select and format Graphics click on the graphic in the header Booter or document body go to the format tab check and adjust the position and R text option to ensure the graphic is placed and flows correctly with the text verify margins go to the layout tab click on margins and ensure the settings are appropriate for your document out click on the small arrow in the bottom right corner of the page setup group to open the page setup dialog box check settings for margins paper size and layout update or reset Styles go to the Home tab click on Styles and ensure the Styles applied to headers Hooters and body tags are consistent and not conflicting if a style seems to be causing issues right click on the style and choose modify or reset to default if your document is in compatibility mode some formatting features might not work as expected go to the file app click info and see if the document is in compatibility mode convert the document to the latest word format by clicking convert use print preview go to the file tab click on print to see a print preview of your document ensure that headers Footers and Graphics appear as expected update or reapply themes go to the design tab check if a theme is applied that might be affecting the formatting reapply or change the theme if necessary and that's it I hope this helps so before we end this video please do share like And subscribe to our Channel thank you for watching and see you in our next video
