Brown University Students Give College Advice

no one talks about how much of a shock College can be and it really blindsided me and a lot of my friends everything's going to be fine and I think all of us need need hear that reminder sometimes Let's go ask my friends for advice that's a good question I think um oh my God you look great smile be nice to people Everyone appreciates that it all works out eventually just hang in there do what feels right everyone's worried about themselves so like Just Do Your Own Thing If you're doing a good job as it is and people who love you and who are close to you are proud of you just keep on doing what you do and enjoy it don't be afraid to talk to your professors and your Tas they really want to help you don't doubt your ability you're a very capable person don't associate your Worth to external things college should be an experience that is whatever you want it to be don't get bummed out because of your grades on midterms you will have time to get your grade up everyone's in the same boat and I know it could seem scary at first but you just have to put yourself out there focus on yourself you're the most important thing to you make sure that you're always open to meeting new people having New Opportunities always open-minded I would say to not be so caught up in what everyone else is doing it's really no stress with meeting friends I met ton of close friends second semester some of my closest friends now everyone's super nice things come at the right time nobody has their life figured out in college you don't have to like take it that seriously you really don't have to worry like don't be so hard on yourself it's just not that deep for me I jumped right into freshman year I got sick within the first month I got cut from three clubs I just barely scraped by intro class and yeah it was tough but since then I've I found my group people um from my my friends my my activities it it gets a lot easier from here once you have a network of people um that's looking out for you and I guarantee you uh you guys are all going to find that Network
