welcome to the fantasy football sackos podcast with your host Jason shellcross and Alex KOB let's go fantasy football sackos Jason and Alex back again with one of my favorite episodes we are talking sackos and sleepers today we're talking our favorite bust and I don't know like biggest values at current ADP for this year's fantasy football season and we are going to be going through and highlighting some of our favorite guys on the sacko sheet Alex for the uninitiated what's a sacko sheet it's a sack of sheet hi everybody my name is Alex krogue I am your uh co-host of this fine establishment the uh so saako she so we have our rankings we have tiered quarterbacks running backs wide receivers tight ends we have players highlighted that we think are going to be good and we have people highlighted that we think we going to be bad which we call sackos that's kind of the origination of our podcast name so tiered rankings positional rankings how kind of how we draft them uh in in order um so you can kind of get a feel of of who to draft where it's just a wonderful thing by week are are on there uh defense and kickers are on there so uh I know Jason cares about that so that's why I wanted to mention it but yeah we're going to just highlight some dudes that we have highlighted for for different reasons and you know a lot of this is backed up by stats and honestly some of it's backed up by field too because there's players that you know maybe we're on our team last year and you just like didn't get a good feeling about them or it like wasn't fun to watch a example of somebody who I think is going way too early in drafts would be like Chris alve who's currently going pick 22 and we have him as our 51st player off the board um in our rankings we have him as wide receiver 23 uh again you can go to the fantasy football sacks.in the league number one he was wide receiver 25 last year he was wide receiver 16ish depending on your scoring but he wasn't that good um he was 19 and half PPR scoring he wasn't fun to have on your team last year because Carr can't get him the ball he was 12th in targets but if you're telling me jamus Winston was their quarterback I'd probably have him like the top 10 but I I just hate Carr and so I'm not going to have him on any team because he sucked to like he had he had 11 he had 1100 yard he had five touchdowns he had the the 12th most targets and I hated every second of him on my team last year I did he he pissed me the hell off he sucked last year even though he was fine he he was fine but for him going wide receiver 22 or sorry for him to be going pick 22 when I think he's more of a wide receiver 22 overall there's a bit of a discrepancy there so uh not in on Chris olave no I'm not you're all worked up over there buddy yeah so right take this with a grain of salt um he'll he'll probably be wide receiver five this year right well when Spencer Rattler takes over halfway through the season because I get tired of watching Derek Carr check down every play maybe uh maybe they will but if I may I'd like to talk about one of my favorite sleepers this year and uh would would you just like to talk about sleepers and I can just crap all over everybody I'm I'm feeling riled up tonight sure I believe in the power of positivity so okay I'm going to I'm going to give you a sleeper in the first round and that is my a running back one overall Bree Hall the guy is Invincible uh basically did his best Adrien Peterson impersonation last year after coming back and immediately contributing the year after uh a catastrophic knee injury um despite that you know just you know after the first four games was just top five running back rest of the way um now you actually have a quarterback that's capable and Aaron roders of throwing the ball and generating offense on his own um it's going to be really fun to see that offense actually be productive and not just Bree Hall getting points in garbage time um but he averaged more than 20 touches in 100 total yards from weeks 5 to 18 last year and it's just it was largely on the back of his passing game usage and I think Aaron Rogers is going to do a better job than all of the the array of mediocrity that was feeding him the ball last year running back six in fantasy points per game so almost 1,600 total yards he's just going to be so freaking good and he's still young and he's another year further away from his knee injury so you know when everyone else is drafting receivers that are holding out on contracts like Jamar Chase please take Bree Hall he's going in the middle second half of the first round for some reason all right what a sleeper a first round sleeper for you sleeper is somebody that's going to outperform the ADP pal just chill time for me to take a oh no [ __ ] you just [ __ ] on crystal lava he's being drafted in the second you're [ __ ] on my sleeper yeah those are a double standard no like a double standard would be like hey I think that uh Roshan Johnson's going to have a terrible fantasy football year this year and you shouldn't draft him which by the way you shouldn't um all right so time for me to keep pooping on guys so I'm going to switch over to Cooper uh pooper Cooper uh Mari Cooper uh here we go I we have him at at number 30 on the sack of sheet uh he is currently going pick 55 uh we don't trust his quarterback Deshawn Watson and last year Amari Cooper yeah he had a good year he ended up being wide receiver 20 but that's because he had 41 points one week against Houston which was I don't know just under a fifth of his total points for the year so this is a hey he's getting a little bit older he's thir he's been around a while and I don't trust his quarterback to get him the ball because DeShaun Watson looked so damn bad last year and maybe he comes back and he looks better that's fine but they did add Jerry Judy they Elijah Moore there uh David njoku kind of broke out at least a little bit um Jerome Ford is is going to be the starter there Nick chub starting the year on the pup if DeShaun Watson gets hurt and jamus Winston them the ball then maybe I have Amari Cooper as a top 10 wide receiver oh God remind me if You' heard that before so like this is one of those where I don't I don't trust their quarterback that's been the the two guys here Amari Cooper was fine last year um but like again he he had that 40p point week and then from but from week 11 to week 14 uh he had 3.4 1.6 3.4 and 5.7 so anybody who was actually playing Amari Cooper when he went off for 41 points uh good good on you last year okay yeah basically I love Amari with anyone but Deshawn do you think Deshawn ever pulls it together or is he just cashed I mean he looks cashed right but like when was the last time he actually played uh I should I should know this I'm going to look at his stats so 2021 he was suspended 2022 he missed the first 12 games 2023 he played in six games so like you're you're talking like he he hasn't really done hardly anything for for four years he's having a having a lot of soft tissue issues that he's not able to see the uh the proper people to address those yeah he's yeah trashy human being and uh that's there is that yeah there is that uh sleeper pivoting away from that as fast as I can a sleeper I like this year uh Alex said I can't do any first round guys uh to pick between outperforming their ADP so we will move well we'll go all the way down to the bottom I don't care uh Alex and I both are really high on Chase Brown um Chase Brown fantastic running back out of Illinois uh he's basically just competing with Zach Moss um for the starting gig in Cincinnati this season uh Joe Mixon is now on the Houston Texans but uh Chase Brown uh I always will if I'm if if it looks like two backs are going to be splitting carries I like the one that's going to be catching passes and any sort of pass catching format and younger yeah and I feel like touch Downs are mostly random um so I will definitely lean Chase Brown here uh for the Cincinnati backfield and hope that his upside with the passing role could lead to him playing like all three or four downs you know well I don't know if depends how you view forth but all three Downs um when they're in say like a two-minute hurry up mode um or you know that hurry up offense trying to score I'm hoping Chase Brown doesn't leave the field um he's going like 10th round or later so I I just think he's a great sleeper Zach Moss is also free in drafts so um it's a really good offense they're going to score a ton of points assuming that they're able to get Jamar Chay signed and hey if not t Higgins is really going to turn return some value for the four games that he's on the field for this year before he gets hurt there you go we go from Chase Brown to I I'll highlight somebody that that we kind of like and he's been a guy that we've liked for I don't know since we started doing the podcast it's Deontay Johnson um Jason if you were to guess the number of targets that the guy he's really replacing had last year in Adam Thelen would you like to guess how many targets Adam thielen had uh buck and a quarter yeah 137 which was good enough to be tied for 13th most targets last last year deonce Johnson quietly moved over to the Panthers in the off seon Adam thel's getting old like just like super old so # analyses it's true Deontay Johnson's only 28 he's been in the league for five years he he's always been a Target machine he's currently going pick 94 uh which I don't know Mental Math eighth roundish um which is just crazy for me for a wide receiver one that's kind of proven it uh previously he was wide receiver 8 in 2021 um he got dinged up a little bit last year but 2020 at 144 targets 169 nice 147 and then just 85 last year um so I I expect him and and Bryce young has looked okay uh in in the preseason um and and somebody that you're going to be able to get a discount on what everybody perceives as a bad offense their head coach was the Bucks offensive course last year who rejuvenated Baker Mayfield uh Mike Evans had you know his best year in six or seven years last year so really high on Deontay Johnson for his value I think he's going to be a what a a borderline wide receiver to um who's going super late in in drafts so uh definitely somebody that you and me are both targeting um a little bit later yeah it's going to be really fun to see what Bryce can do in year two hopefully you know you know with the better staff uh kind of leading the way over there in Carolina hopefully that solves some of those issues but I just really feel bad for him like now that I have my own little you know rookie quarterback with Caleb on the Bears just like man Bryce has like nothing around him compared to what Caleb has yeah just you know [ __ ] sandwich in a dream but uh another while we're talking kind of rookies and younger dudes um I also am stashing Jaylen Wright at the end of every single draft um he basically has someone old enough to be my accountant uh uh as the co rb1 cheap shot yeah it was wasn't it and then uh the other guy in front of him is like Kevin Hart running around on the football field so um I am fairly certain that if my grandmother uh you know and Raheem moer falls down and throws his hip out because he's like 37 years old still playing NFL quarterback or uh little Kevin Hart um you know falls down wrong that Jaylen Wright could definitely be like a weekly rb1 if either one of those two guys were to miss time and what do you know they both missed time last year and Raheem moer misses time every single year so yeah it's true he's he's the best third back in in football probably you know and get him yeah like like how many off seven and a half yards per carry at Tennessee he was the fastest guy in the draft I'm I'm not not arguing with any of that it's just there's not many teams that you want three running backs drafted and the Dolphins are probably the only one just because of their scheme right like like full full stop uh other guys that were high on um you know I just to give we kind of gave javante Williams some shine uh on our uh rb2 podcast but I do think it's worth revisiting a little bit again coming off the the a bad knee injury a couple years ago we usually out on them the year one um but they come back that offense B niick starting um with javante Williams in the back field I think the the offense there is going to be better he had three carries 17 yards in the last preseason game uh that he played in he he had a catch for 15 yards um he's just going to be solid and for where he's going which again is pick 90 so another starter in round eight or nine um I I'm fine with pulling the trigger on him a little earlier than that just to make sure you get him because I I think he has solid rb2 upside yeah I mean javante I'm I'm super thrilled for javante I thought he was incredible coming out of school uh and he was just a little bit slower to get all back put together and admittedly you know that offense kind of sucked last year and last couple years anyway um so it's it's looking a whole lot better B Knicks looks like he actually knows what 's doing out there which is progress for that team um so I'm excited to see what Javonte can do uh it's another year away from that knee injury so you know our policy here guys if it's if it's anything more than just a straight ACL like if there's if if it's ACL MCL I don't want them at all the next year like I want at least two years out like chub which is going to this is a great little segue I'm doing this so professionally chub uh very heavily rumored to be starting the year on the pup Miss meaning he will miss at least the first four weeks of the Season truthfully I wouldn't be shocked if it was half the season I wouldn't be shocked if it was the whole season I think that he very very very easily could miss the entire year that knee injury was gruesome like if if you want to know hey what are the odds that chub misses the whole year why don't you just go back and watch what that knee injury looked like and then like oh there's no way that guyy is carrying a football this year um I he'll be back I don't I don't know I it would be a miracle if he was the second major knee injury to the same it's the same freaking knee yeah that that's fair um but Jerome Ford was like a borderline rb1 in his absence last year solid army2 and Jerome Ford is going in the 10th round of drafts and I know that I have Jerome Ford for at least a month and I'm getting a like a startable startable running back in the 10th round for free um very startable yeah like if you go zero RB I would take him in the ninth just so you know you have him like I'd rather have Jerome Ford he's being drafted behind Zeke I like him more than Zeke he's being drafted behind Trey Benson like him more than Trey Benson and he's being drafted behind Gus bus uh I probably like him more than Gus he's being drafted behind Eckler I dislike Eckler like why take all those old dudes that have extensive injury histories instead of Jerome Ford who is starting for at least the first month yes I mean same thing with with chuba hubard right I mean I I don't want to keep highlighting pan Panthers players but you know you're all over that if if Jonathan Brooks is going to miss the first couple weeks as they're deciding whether or not to put him on the pup hub's going in round 11 he's picked 130 so you know again there's just these random starting running backs you can get super late um that that should def that should definitely be on your radar um we we we kind of had a in in my auction draft we had a a bidding war breakout for Rico dowle um Jason if if you'd like to to talk about him real quick yeah Zeke's old Zeke has more than 2,000 carries to his name uh about 2500 total touches over the span of his career thus far and looks it he he looks his age um you know I I don't understand the appeal of Zeke uh he's 29 but he's got enough carries for like a 33y old um running back so come on make the accountant joke again yeah exactly he's he's slow he looks slow he played slow he's a goal line back at this point um and so Rico Dole you know he's got a little bounce to him he's got a little juice to him and there's nobody else on that team that has that and it was what a top five scoring offense last year so like Rico dle could I mean I I definitely think that it's realistic that r dle or any other mediocre running back can outperform Zeke at this point in Zeke's career like I don't think I don't think Rico dle is special I think that Zeke is old and there's nobody else on the team do spawn he's very small he's he's played a little bit in the uh in the preseason you know I don't know looks fine yep I I I'll I'll talk about it another guy will because I kind of sprung that one on you we're we're high on on two wide receivers that are are going early that are both we we kind of talk about young age but like Deo Samuel and Cooper cup seem like they're criminally underrated this year um just for whatever reason uh Debo is going pick uh oh I'm on running backs that's why I can't find him like where the hell is he's going pick 28 um so like middle of of round of round three he's just perennially like very good he's still only 28 he was uh wide receiver three uh in 2021 he was wide receiver 15 last year um auk situation still getting fig figured out um dude is is really good and so he should be drafted higher he's still getting carries like if they need a go-to play other than CMC it's usually Debo or they still have KD right but he's just going a little too late and I think he should be going higher somebody else who I think is going a little late or very late currently Cooper Cup's going in round four and I I just don't think I really understand that um he as everybody remembers couple years ago was wide receiver one overall had 191 targets uh each of the last two years he was banged up but you know he missed uh what eight games in 2022 and five games last year and still had damn near 100 targets even missing all those games so like he is and yes I know that NKU is there like there it's 1 a 1B and so as long as Cooper Cup's healthy he's going to provide you with wide receiver one upside on a weekly basis Cooper cup was wide receiver 27 in points per game last year despite a 26% Target share so definitely had a tough slog last year um basically played the whole thing injured uh and and looked like it um so you know the rumors out of Camp right now are that he looks like 2021 Cooper cup wide receiver one Cooper cup um you know if last year I mean before the injury towards the end of Camp he was a first round pick solid and now he's going in the third or the fourth so 31 for receiver is not the same as 31 for running back like Cooper's going to get plenty of targets from an incredible quarterback and a productive offense like he's going to be fine if he can go into the season healthy which is like our number one freaking rule draft healthy players like at least for the first five or six rounds like okay then you're getting players that you know you you get the injury discount on but yeah um if I may I would like to uh let's talk about by the way you should go to the fantasy football sack. to buy the sacka sheet it's there it has all the rankings it has these guys we're talking about there you go I am going to actually crap on a Bears player and he could be I mean he's not he's not going like super early where are but he's going too early he's going too early in my mind like there's so much hype around DeAndre Swift who's going in the sixth right now there's so much hype around DeAndre Swift who's been on what three teams in three years and and like he's never been able to hold a starting role and there was so much hype and I just think about last year too like there was so much hype around khil Herbert as being like this savior going into last year or and then Roshan and then they all just like got hurt and then the Madden maddeningly the coaching staff never leaned on any one person and they all just shared the mediocrity that was the Bears running offense last year like can can can I can I respectfully disagree with you as long as it's respectful I I think Swift is in line for a pretty big year because they like to your point right her ber was kind of hurt we kept expecting Roshan to kind of pop up but he never did and the the Bears had like a rb2 on a legally basis who you know was that big dude he got carded off and I can't remember his name [Music] um oh he was on my team last year for quite a while until I cut him uh 2020 Dante foran so thank you um so like he he was good for me you did it you did it all yourself thank you Google is just stumbling through I don't know what his name is so like Foreman was really good for a while DeAndre Swift has never been worse than rb21 in in PPR scoring like his entire career so I I think Caleb's going to check down quite a bit and and not force the ball and and turn it over I think I think you've seen you know on a screen pass him be him be quick he's from Georgia he has the pedigree he's still only 25 yeah he's bounced around a little bit but like he had over a thousand yards rushing last year and he was kind of known more as like a scatback for uh for the Lions but what he had n 900 yards as a rookie 1100 yard or you know 1050 as a as a seconde player 900 uh his third year in the league and 1,200 yards 1300 yards last year so like I feel like he's ascending the Bears gave him a big contract it kind of seems like it's his gig so yeah he's going around five pick 64 um but I think that's fine because I I think you're getting an Undisputed running like rb1 like he's not an rb1 I think he's definitely an easily Easy Flex running back that you can play um with you know solid rb2 upside okay all right hey you're intitled to your own opinion even if it's wrong um next up I'd like to talk about a running back that I'm lower on and that is Jaylen Warren um you know he had a hamstring injury at one point it looks like it was going to uh to cause him to miss the season open Atlanta um if anything I think if he does play he's probably going a pitch count um he's claiming that he's going to play but at the end of the day it's also really not up to him so um I think that that offense could be better overall but if Warren misses time like he's he's currently going in the eighth it's already a split back and now you you're going into the season injured like no you're he's going in front of Jonathan Brooks which to me is just outrageous just plain outrageous um but I think it actually could potentially te up Naji to return some value on his sixth round ADP at the moment so there's there's my Pittsburgh backfield take um also a little strategy uh I think Jonathan Brooks could be a League winner like flat out full stop I he's awesome um but he's I said you know draft healthy dudes as your starters after that take for freaking lottery tickets and Jonathan Brooks is a hell of a ticket to have he's currently going in the eighth round he's going to miss probably the first month um and then come back and be EAS back in I really don't mind the chubba hubard Jonathan Brooks combo either because you just throw Brooks in your IR spot for a month and you're not out of roster spot look at us being fans of shitty teams when it comes to FY that's where we got we got to try and squeeze value out I mean know oh guys I love Isaiah Pacho he's so good at the football right no I know exactly you should draft him higher than Jonathan Brooks but that's why we're here like the I think it's fun to Target people that are on perceived to be bad teams unless it's like the Patriots don't draft a single Patriots player except for maybe really good um just just to go back to Pittsburgh Arthur Smith is uh is their offensive coordinator after being in Atlanta they're going to run the crap out of the ball because that's what they do um I don't think they have a quarterback this year um which is a big reason why you and me are both down on George pickings um targets be damned we saw what Arthur Smith does with Drake London talents and Kyle Pitt's talents um I don't have high hopes for George Pickins but to back to your point like the Jaylen Warren thing like it kind of seemed like he took over for nii and then nii came on strong at the end of last year again for the second year in a row and so like they're both going to get touches if Warren's not healthy uh we like naagi which is why we have Warren a little bit lower um zav Xavier Worthy is is somebody that that you and me are are both high on he's fast as hell uh he's kind of replacing the Tyreek Hill uh spot for the Chiefs uh he's a rookie out of Texas they traded up to get him into the first round um he ran basically a Tyreek route Over the Top If if the DB or safety is flat footed he's going to score a touchdown um so we're we're High we're both high on him because he's fast as hell and it's exactly what Andy Reed wants for his offense Xavier worthy caught three of six targets for 62 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs loss against the Lions over the weekend six Targets in a preseason game including a 39 39 yd touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes on the opening drive so I mean I think he could he could real pop and he's going what seventh round pi pick 76 uh six seventh round yeah so you're you're you're not getting you're not getting that big a discount but like he has like wide receiver one upside because of his quarterback oh yeah yep um I want to switch gear a little bit if there was one kicker I would reach for I would reach for my guy my guy this year and that is Brandon Aubrey I hate you so much I hate you so much that you're doing this what do what do you mean he's my guy he's the kicker for the Dallas Cowboys did you see he literally kicked a 66 y I hate you so much what do you why he converted both field goal attempts and all three of his extra point tries in Saturdays preseason game against the Raiders including a 66y field goal attempt just before halftime you such I would like I would go so far as to to to take him like a few rounds before kickers even go just so that way I know that I have literally the best kicker this year I agree with everything you just said okay then why am I a troll I don't understand because you you hate kickers and also for for for full disclosure I just talked about one for like three minutes Jason refuses to to help do the defense and kicker rankings he refuses yeah because all you need is Brandon Aubrey put him at one that's where he goes and so when I put Brandon Aubrey as the number one kicker I believe this is a direct quote Brandon Aubry it should be Justin Tucker Justin Tucker is always the number one kicker it wasn't Brandon Aubrey is my guy he's not your guy he's my [Music] guy yeah is he is he your guy yes he's freaking my guy stay away from Brandon Aubrey you stay away from damn it uh in the 11th round in our draft so better I know you you will not be taking him in the 11th round of our draft there is a 0% chance that that happens uh I I think off the top of my head I believe Brandon Aubry went 30 for30 to start the season last year he had 10 uh field goals over 50 yards um he said he's he's uh made it from 70 in practice I think he's the number one kicker I think you should Target him I actually spent $2 in an auction on him um I think he's worth three or four um I think the value is that much there was a number one kicker last year he was great all right so now that we've gotten kickers out of the way we've talked about a million running backs um we haven't I don't think we've really talked about any tight ends is there you like or don't like yeah I mean we we highlighted a quite a few of them uh back in our tight end podcast oh I I think you and have have both uh raised up Brock Bowers a considerable amount um post that tight end recording mainly just because of Gardner mchu uh and and the effect that he has on offense for them with him kind of slinging it all around Brock Bowers currently isn't super healthy uh they've kind of been monitoring him and and kind of have on a pitch count I think it's it's tough for tight ends to have a big impact as rookies just cuz there's blocking responsibilities but it would not surprise me at all to see them break him out uh in their offense uh to go with Devonte Adams and jacobe Myers and um you know Bowers playing more of the wide receiver three role uh in that offense because they they did draft Michael M mayor in round two last year um he kind of fits more of the traditional tiend mold whereas Brock poers is more of a a receiving threat so I I would not at all surprise me to see them run more you know two tight end set and breaking Bowers out as a as a third wide receiver there you go yeah and not only that because a lot of what you said is already coming true um they've broken Bowers out and moved him he played three different positions on uh the I think it was the first drive that Las Vegas had him on the field this preseason so um he's going to be all over the place catching some checkdown passes from Gard muu yeah six 64 230 is just like a match nightmare right like do you try to guard him with a linebacker and he's going to run by him or do you try to you know match up with with a DB and then get blocked in the running game it's a it's a a tough tough spot yep uh tight ends that I'm down on generally any one of them getting drafted in the first three rounds right so you're you're talking laor and Kelce this year essentially yeah like I'm just I'm so out on with with how close the tight ends finished among each other last season I'm really out on taking them early yeah so but you're you're more than ready to more than ready and willing to pull the trigger round four round five when you're talking about Andrew McBride KD Pitts round sixish cancade seven like you know Evan Ingram in there it all goes back to the strategery which is you need an advantage at one of the two positions either quarterback or tight end so if I'm not getting one of the guys that I think could probably finish as a qb1 or quarterback one overall then I want a decent tight end so yeah it just just depends on who hopefully somebody you know Falls and creates a little slice of value for me to carve out um one guy can you I mean we haven't we we have talked about it but can you run me through the Bears receivers you have Odun going basically neck and neck in drafts right now with Keenan Allen um and DJ Moore is going in the fourth about two rounds earlier do you have any strong opinions on adps and who's going to perform and who won't cuz Caleb's going for 4,000 yards right oh baby first Bears quarterback ever Can You Feel The the power um when it when it comes to who I like the most for their ADP and I pretty confident that you hate my answer here but I think the answer should be Keenan Allen this year um Ro Romo dun is just going too early for a wide receiver three with a rookie quarterback he's a rookie as like himself and so like a rookie rookie combination I I just have a hard time believing that like you don't think he's Joe burrow and Jamar Chase well yeah but there was nobody else for burrow to throw to T Higgins wasn't he a rookie too though like so it and burrow then got got tko'ed and and whatever but like Keenan Allen was unfreaking believable last year he finished his wide receiver eight and he missed four games he had 150 Targets in 13 games the reports out of Camp is that he he looks sluggish because Jaylen Johnson's guarding him every series of course he's going to look sluggish cuz you have one of the best cornerbacks in the league on him I I love the Keenan Allen value where he's going which is round five I I just do if he's there it's going to be hard for me to not pull the trigger I think Roma dun is being slightly overdrafted uh still DJ Moore is going to be really good um but there there's not a lot of value to peel out of him going a pick 38 is um I never got to ask you it just happened but like I know we're doing sleepers and whatnot but what do you think about the J the Jan doson trade oh for like the Eagles or for the rest of those receivers it doesn't really mean anything for the commanders other than truthfully maybe Teran McClaren is being drafted too low because he's all that's left and he's going in the seventh round right now that's exactly what I was goingon to say I don't think it makes a bit of difference for the Eagles um yeah so just I mean to bring It full circle right the so Keenan Allen was was amazing last year um would you like to guess who his offensive coordinator was Keenan Allen's offensive coordinator last year yeah it was Kell Moore who's now the Eagles offensive coordinator um I was gu Kell Moore and so Kell Moore going so previously had CD lamb who was amazing he had Keenan Allen who was amazing it'll be interesting to see who they deploy in that Keenan Allen role cuz it doesn't really feel like it's an AJ Brown role it feels like it's feels like it's more of a Devonte Smith uh role uh who's a little bit quicker might be a little bit better of a route Runner um compared to AJ Brown who's just Giant and fast um and so it wouldn't at all surprise me to see Devonte Smith um you know be really good this year and like borderline wide receiver won because of it um Jan doson does not make a difference for the Eagles because of who they already have there between uh Dallas gard and um AJ Brown and Devon Smith the commanders have nobody like just straight up nobody except for Terry right like who are they who are they gonna throw the ball to you have McClaren and then D diami Brown Luke mcaffrey like there's nobody there something I'd be on the lookout for so Ben sinat or Senate I don't know how to pronounce it 64247 out of Kansas uh Kansas State um or our guy Zack hers he's there too it would not at all surprise me if Jaden Daniels was was throwing more to to either of those tight ends more because they have nobody else other than mclen so like yeah like scary Terry's always been like underutilized cuz he hasn't had a good quarterback ever um he's never finished worse than wide receiver 29 in a PPR league so the the upside now now he's going to be bracketed every play well yeah there is that too right like we're not going to let let him beat you have we talked about any quarterbacks yet uh we have not all right well talk to me about Kyler because I feel like you and I draft him in every single mock yeah I ended up having to overpay for him uh in in a league yesterday he's just just solid yeah and he's delicious at his current ADP which is like the fifth or sixth round yeah I mean when he came back last year I believe he averaged 30 yards on the ground every week uh once came back so he had 244 yards on the ground in like half a season so if you can pencil him in for 500 that's a good start that would be a top five tight end of that position uh Trey McBride is emerging uh we both like Marvin Harrison Jr um that offense is going to be just considerably more well in tune um because he's going to be there the whole time he's practicing he's developing um rapport with these guys he's going late as far as like quarterbacks go um he he's going as a as a top 10 quarterback but I I think he has top five upside um based on what he's done in the past agree and if there was anybody of the you know the current top one two three four five guys at quarterback to fall out who do you think it would be or or if you don't think it's any of them yeah so if you're if you're talking Josh Allen Herz momes Lamar and CJ Stroud I think the easy answer is probably stoud um just because like he he was good throw like 40 40 touchdowns to return value because he doesn't run EXA exactly like he's not he's not Allan herzer or Lamar who are going to get you you know 600 yards on the ground or or a [ __ ] ton of rushing touchdowns um and so it's hard to take Mahomes out although honestly like the answer is probably M the answer is probably momes unless he lights up for 5,000 yards just cuz he's due because he's not running either so it's it's one of those two um and and we both think that Kyler will will kind of return to form uh at least a little bit um his first year in the league ran for 544 yards second 819 um and then before last year he was he was in the 400s both years um which is very consistent he had 11 rushing touchdowns in 2020 wow uh two guys I want to point out uh for sleepers and they are going later have not talked about them yet I actually really like Jaden Daniels and also Brian Robinson of the commanders this year I think they could be nice I think Jaden Daniels is going to be a breath of fresh air for the Commanders and their fans uh they have not had a quarterback since Kirko left uh all those moons ago to go to mini so um Jaden Daniels looks awesome he looks really fun to watch and really fun to cheer for so I'm excited to see that and then if you guys actually listen to our ranking rb2s podcast you'll hear a little bit more about why we like Brian Robinson um we basically it boils down to We believe that he's can have a pretty decent shot at a three down roll um Eckler is old and Eckler is old and small and old so um Brion yeah yeah Brian Robinson um was a beast and if that offense is good and they actually get to like move the ball it could be very very nice to have him on your team and he's going reasonably late he's going in the like the ninth round 10th round so yeah one one other quarterback I just want to highlight that I'm I'm higher on than you are and that that's Trevor Lawrence um he's kind of been a mystery the the first three years um they've kind of revamped their offense from a a weapon standpoint um they still have Christian Kirk but they drafted Brian Thomas they brought in Gabe Davis um Evan Ingram uh had two touchdowns uh caught um in their last preseason game uh Trevor Lawrence has looked good um in in the preseason and and we both like etn quite a bit um and so somebody from his wide receiver core is going to pop like Christian Kirk was really good a couple years ago he's wide receiver 11 and then last year was wide receiver 47 he's probably the favorite um but Brian Thomas um you know is a huge deep threat and and Trevor loves launching the ball deep um so when like Thomas would not at all surprise me what's that Trevor Lawrence no no I know but I'm talking about Brian it would not surprise me to see Brian Thomas be like a Deshawn Jackson type guy who who who kind of will be on your bench but it'll explode for two touchdowns and like you know 120 yards and you'll start on the next week he might get like three catches for like 15 or something like that um so Brian Thomas might might be that that next to Shawn Jackson type guy which is perfect for Trevor Lawrence yeah absolutely um we haven't talked about any builds receivers do you have a favorite I mean do you have a three-sided coin can can you flip one for me like I'm out of it yeah so so Keon Coleman was drafted out of Florida State he's the biggest wide receiver they have KH khil Shakir caught everything uh that was ever thrown at him last year and he's going crazy late um when it comes to a potential wide receiver one he's going around 10 and then like I think the guy that we both the highest on is is Curtis Samuel just because he's done it before they paid him to bring It O to bring him over he's versatile um but he's he's been banged up so kind of hard to get a feel on on Curtis Samuel and what he's going to do he's never been better than wide receiver 25 in a year he's kind of been bad the last couple for Washington they don't they have a quarterback so I I think if I had a gun to my head who am I going to who am I going to take I would take Kio Shakir only because he was there last only because he was there last year yep yeah and and he's also looked good in the preseason too so um Allen has looked his way a few times so I'm I'm excited to see how that plays out the either way whoever that winner is oh my God almost two 200 vacated targets uh so it's going to be fun it's going to be fun for that offense but yeah and I think I think the the hard thing is that it's probably just Dalton concade but that would be one of those wide receivers could be really good um all right guys that I think does it Alex forever say you good yeah I think so um what I think like just soak it in man this is the it's the best time of year it it comes around really really quick and it's a good time to just like hang out with your friends and see each other and talk smack and um like I cherish my Sundays sitting on the couch watching football and watching the apps update with points and so like we made it like it it was a quick a quick months uh to to get back here I feel like it kind of snuck up on all of us um and and doing drafts I somewhat feel unprepared even though like hey we we know all these guys and it was kind of fun to highlight some of them um but like just take somebody that you want to take like don't listen to somebody else because you have to stare at them on your roster for the next like four months and if it's somebody you don't like just don't draft them like a lot of fantasy football's gut feeling and like hey have the ESPN cheat sheet up have the sacker sheet up cross guys out and figure out what adps are go to sleeper do mock drafts figure out draft strategy it's just nice that we made it and uh draft Brandon Aubry in the in round 13 uh well you're not going to get him because I'm taking him in 12 so damn it he is my guy he's going to be on my team and every League I'm in with you get you some Brandon Aubrey he can tickle the 70 yard field goals I'm going to pick him in round one just to spite you does he uh does he get would he get seven points in our stupid League scoring for a 70 I don't think 70 is a is an option yet uh it might become an option I believe ESPN added 60 last year um let me just real quick I know is great for everybody but I can go in and look um this is this is amazing this is great content this is they they do not have 70 yard fueld goals mainly because nobody's ever made one I believe the record is 65 or 66 um so that's why they don't have 70 there it's just turn it over with pretty good field goal position for the other team if you missed a 70 yarder yeah I mean hypothetically right if if the the the Ravens and Cowboys played they could just alternate kicking uh field goals on first down until somebody makes one there you go all right well that does it for me I promise this time I won't make you guys listen to anything else that Alex krog has to say about Brandon Aubrey being my guy so have a good rest of your night and good luck on your drafts and get the Sao sheet yeah we'll be back next week to talk week zero waivers uh essentially um and and guys that you should be targeting to stash on your bench if uh um you know just sorry one last thing take take somebody that's hurt especially if you if you have an IR spot make sure to draft a chub or um you know a Jonathan Brooks or just somebody that's hurt because if you can get that free roster spot to move them down to ir and go pick up somebody else that that St b as a backup running back it it is really valuable or even like a like hey it's the last round just take TJ hackinson as an example and just put them on your IR spot you can drop them later if you don't want to keep them but just take somebody that's hurt drafts hurt players at the end just for IR purposes whatever Brandon Aubrey for life thank you for listening to another episode of the fantasy
