so the um the legend of Cecil lamy's question to Shawn Payton grows every day and we have a new twist and chapter to that that's coming up in just a little bit plus we'll unveil the uniform selections this is something people really care about that I don't give a [ __ ] about but people really do seem to be into this so okay well we get to it later there's no doubt there's nothing I find more to the Broncos in a second about last night when it comes to the Rockies Rockies got a nice win man 63 over the Mets Mets have been kind of struggling for sure they've had like three games and three different places in three days so nice to take advantage of that the Rockies get the win six to three Jake cave the hero as he had another clutch home run he doesn't have like a lot of home runs but every home run he gets is is like a big one and he's acted actually quite a few um since um the Fourth of July so good for Jake cave I like him he's sitting ninth in the lineup so [ __ ] man I think that's awesome and it's a nice win Chris Bryant had a double uh leas Diaz drove in a run a couple runs good for him and Cav Cav with his fifth of the Year Bud Black after the game spoke about the caveman and how important he has been to this team it's uh it's our guy Bud Black let's go Bud uh you know he's been I guess to to put it simply uh he's been himself and what Jake brings is just that you know a veteran presence with you know with Excuse me everyday energy uh you know every day intensity the great thing is whether he's playing or not uh he brings it every day uh very uh vocal with the guys uh from the time he walks through the doors uh he's uh he's been a you know added uh a big addition you know from the time I got up in spring training so and what's what's great he's performing right the the big Homer in Anaheim you know the big Homer today so he's doing his part for sure all right well good job on J cave like when I talked to Troy rank about J cave his frustration isn't with J cave it's the fact that you're a developing team and and whatever it bats you're giving to J cave should simply go to a player that um you know needs to get the Reps but it's nice to win games too along the way and there's no doubt that for the few games that the Rockies have won JK has been pretty important Kyle Freeland goes four and two3 four hits three runs all earned two walkouts with seven strikeouts but it was battling a blister issue the entire time here is uh here's our guy Kyle Freeland on the blister when did it developed what pitch anything um developed in the fourth uh didn't know that it was developing and never got hot on me um which usually these things kind of do and then uh you know got in The Dugout saw that it Formed popped it uh got rid of it shaved down the nail a little bit to get rid of a corner and ended up just uh really blowing up in the in the fifth there uh getting really really big and unfortunately it was on you know a pitch that I use a lot curveball um and as we saw getting bigger and kind of losing feeling in that area kind of had to make a decision you've had this before is it something you foresee will be a delay in the next start or no I don't know I don't know about this one um this one this one got pretty big on me usually will usually I'm able to kind of keep it down as much as possible um this we'll shoot it up with zinc um and we'll see how it you know kind of feels over the next few days and and make decision yeah it sucks man and you know I love Kyle friand man there there's some tough dudes on this team and he's definitely one of them I like Kyle quantrol and Jake cave and now there's dudes there are definitely dudes on this team the blister stuff blows and he only threw 75 pitches but you got four shutout Innings from your relievers and you're closing with bodnik and I like that I do I would just commit to vodnik being the closer and try to develop him the best I can um I would have Trevor Bower on this team and it was funny I'm watching a Trevor Bower the video the other day and he says the rocky says that he he isn't a fit for the Rockies and I don't I actually don't get that you can get him for nothing um he's setting records in the Mexican League where he like strikeouts and and he's pitching at altitude um and he'd be a I don't get it I don't get why that's not a fit um I don't know why you wouldn't try that but uh it was a little disheartening to actually literally hear Trevor Bowers say he's spoken to Colorado and they say he's not a fit I I really don't understand it I don't but I do like Victor vodnik um and Kinley was part of it Lauren chevil I believe is uh no I said that name wrong anyways you got you got shut out Innings by your four relievers you won the game good job um and this is uh lack on Freeland and hopefully the injury is not too bad yeah KY stuff was good you know I think the you know the two runs they scored were little you know baseball got them you know soft hit by glacius Soft hit by the catcher jammed him Looper to far just missed but you know it's baseball soft hits lead off that's baseball uh nice jot by our guy Jacob Sterling who is actual season and we'll go through it okay oh here we go all right so week one we're in Summit whites and then week two same thing against Pittsburgh uh week three uh at Tampa Bay we orange uh you and then it just goes white and orange white and orange the the uh this oh the special helmets uh week three 13 against Cleveland with the white helmets you can see there the Throwbacks are uh week 18 against Kansas City and I think there's another one in there yeah week five against Las Vegas so we get the uh we get the white helmet so we only get the white helmets once this year is that right I guess so white helmets the blue shirts and white helmets um that's against Cleveland I don't know if that's got a special name snowcapped or something uh the Throwbacks on week five against Vegas and then the final week of the Season against Kansas City and then it's you know just white orange white orange whatever there you go so that's how it's laid out for you your uniforms happy to take your thing and a little like you know people are kind of chuckling and oh my gosh and you know all this stuff well I I don't know man I mean maybe it was the world's greatest question I mean if we literally all keep talking about it maybe maybe it was the greatest question in the world but yesterday Lucas croll was asked about Cecil's comment um about being the the best player and here's how that did you get any teasing at the suggestion um that you were the best player in the offseason you what's that did you get any teasing teasing about the suggestion that you were the best player in the offseason that I was the best player yeah who said that c man I tell you what man I mean I don't I don't I the first time hearing that too uh I I mean listen I I just come out here and work as hard as I can for these guys um know I don't I don't see myself as that I see myself as a guy that just comes out here and works every day um trying to get better for this team and and doing anything that can help to you know get wins for this organization the touchdown that all right well that was funny who said that then brand to Crystal Cecil Brandon being a little bit of a rat there huh who took the cookie on Cil who broke this Cil who left the G in Cil we're a terrible crew man we are not Foxhole guys the media the Muggles are not in the Foxhole for each other we're terrible man we're and I mean I mean same with trout I mean all these guys I mean everyone has our has our roles and and we do it so well uh man like I mean Nate unbelievable and in the hand hand in the ground and freaky speed that people probably don't even realize Man 4 five can roll uh man he's always top of the top of the charts on our catapult is awesome um but man I tell you you know Greg Greg just having him back out here it's it's been awesome it's been so great okay the listing oh man I mean uh uh dluchi he is incredible and uh trout trout oh my God he's the best oh man 45 and uh Harry H Harrington is snapping the ball he's incredible and man the the Gatorade person I got water today from the water bot Cil meanwhile the practice yesterday actually kind of sucked according to Shawn Pate um inside linebacker brought in mock for Perkins Perkins was waved Dinger um a short yardage emphasis um at the beginning of practice and then got into different situations um um I thought it was okay it wasn't one of our better practices and you know uh we got to turn it around tomorrow and and get some better work done any questions on the on the unofficial dep chart yeah rookies are at the back of the line any like you said you're going to be playing time no none yet we'll have that meeting today and tomorrow you do have wasn't one of your better practices I just thought mentally I thought we hit a wall a little bit um we'll see the film [Music] uh yeah I mean when you come off the field there's times where you feel like man I thought I thought it was just okay you know so we'll be sharper tomorrow go ahead you have woo that means they sucked we'll be sharper tomorrow and of course he's the offensive coordinator he's the come on now like Joe Lombardi and all it's cool but it's John pyton show so that means it was it was the offense who was really struggling they're still doing install it's it's not like they're just putting everything out there and practicing and playing football the first chance that they get to do that seriously will be Sunday at Indianapolis so I wouldn't expect much and frankly I'm going to guess today that he'll tell us that Jared stinum will start against Indy and then there'll be a rotation I he said Monday he would let us know Tuesday or Wednesday well welcome to Wednesday so I expect the news of the day will be uh stey starts but but I don't think that means all that much we will have a watch along here with kill you with truth we will do it Sunday morning man so looking forward to that um we'll watch the game we'll talk about it we'll take your comments we'll see if we can't pull in some special guests here and there but we will and we will do watch alongs for every single Broncos game by bu hook or by crook this year we'll figure it out I promise you that I'm working on it um home games may be a little tricky if I'm there covering them um I want to be there covering them um I think that's an important part of doing this gig uh so so we'll figure it out we'll figure it out we'll we'll see One Way Or Another We're going to get it done uh but we'll definitely be doing that on Sunday so it's a nice accompaniment to your Enthusiast are you looking forward to the cycling Track event yeah that's all like sprinting stuff I am I am um I'm not as big of a fan of that as uh road but but I am interested in it um and it's crazy to see some people cross over that are great at both I don't know as much about the cycle Sprint stuff but my respect for it is through the roof and Stephen it breaks my heart a little bit I am not on my bike for the next couple days I got a huge nail I have tubless tires and with tubless Tire well first of all this it wouldn't have mattered the the nail like a nail ripped through it was like an arrow through the tire like it was in one end out the other you could see it it was unbelievable unbelievable and it just destroyed the tire so I've I've got the bike in the shop I got to get a new tire put on I got to get sealing usually these tubeless tires with seal are like indestructible so it's um a pretty hefty trick that I caught a nail like that I don't even know how I did it I'm not even sure how I did it but I did it it sucked couldn't be on my bike I have to drive for the next couple days and if you got to drive go to Mike Maron Chevrolet Ford GMC uh it's nice the Broncos Chang your uniforms to match the quality of their play speaking of training camp Brandon has Brandon mson undrafted dline made any waves haven't even spoken his name one time this is the first time
