Why ALABAMA Football Could GO CRAZY in 2024 (Crimson Tide Preview)

if there's one program that really underwent a significant change it is the Alabama Crimson Tide they went from being the Top Dog in college football with the top coach in Nick Sabin to now having a new coach with a new philosophy in a new era at Bryant Denny Stadium the Crimson Tide made the college football playoff last year but lost in heartbreaking fashion to Michigan many are wondering if the Crimson Tide will be the same team in 2024 and how the program will look under new head coach kayin dbor dbor had massive success at Washington but he's very different than ni sa and moving in a new direction for Bama is going to take some time to adjust to in today's video I want to preview the 2024 Alabama Crimson Tide we to talk about their new roster their new coach how they did last year what the expectations should be and ultimately try to make a schedule prediction for them but before we get started if you're a big fan of college football be sure to subscribe to the channel leave a like if you to support today's video and let me know what player team topic or situation I can cover next now let's get started and preview the 2024 Alabama Crimson Tide so in order to talk about the 2024 tied we first need to go back to 2023 Nick Sabin was in his 17th season as head man and Tommy Reese was in his first season as offensive coordinator the tide had a new quarterback to figure out but ultimately after a fiveman battle Jaylen milro became the guy they lost a ton of players in 2022 so there were some expected growing pains for the tide in 2023 to start out the year the tide ended up destroying Middle Tennessee 56 to7 and the number four team in the country would then face off at number 11 Texas this to many was the game of the non-conference and unfortunately it didn't go the TI's way Jayla milro and Alabama's new offense really struggled and eventually Quinn yers in Texas put up enough points to win 34 to 24 giving the Longhorns insane momentum and Alabama was reeling it could have almost been 100 times worse as Bama was really struggling against USF in this game it felt like they played three different quarterbacks But ultimately after being super close they ended up winning 17 to3 from there they ended up getting their momentum back as they then went and beat number 15 oldness 24 to10 and destroyed Mississippi State 40 to7 they survived the month of September at 4-1 it would first start out with a road victory over Texas A&M as they would survive 26 to 20 in that one after that they'd come home and only beat Arkansas by three points then they found themselves struggling with number 17 Tennessee they're barely scraping by but luckily in the fourth quarter the tide put it on and 134 to 20 they got revenge for last year's game after that they would duel it out at number 14 LSU and this was the game of the week while it was close B ended up winning by two scores and they ended up sending number 14 LSU and their Heisman winning quarterback Jane Daniels out of the playoff after that they go on the road and Destroy Kentucky 49 to 21 and it felt like they had finally found their Rhythm after that they beat Chattanooga 66 to10 before a really fascinating game on the road against Auburn everyone knows that Hugh fre caused Nick Sabin problems but no one thought this year's Auburn team would I was absolutely shocked by how close this game was and faced with a long for fourth down and pretty much no hope left another miracle happened in Jordan hair Stadium Jaylen milro threw the ball towards the back of the end zone and Isaiah Bond came down with a miracle catch the tide won 27 to 24 and punched their ticket into the SEC Championship game that was a crazy ending that probably deserves its own video at some point but after falling to Texas Early Bama found a way to win 10 straight games they ended up facing off with number one Georgia in the SEC Championship game and the result of this game was unbelievable they ended up defeating number one Georgia 27 to 4 and went from number eight in the country to number four in the playoff because of this Florida state was left out and Georgia was left out so B snuck their way in theyd end up getting to face number one Michigan in the Rose Bowl and sadly after a miscommunication and a bad snap at overtime Jaylen Miller was not able to make a play and Michigan won 27 to2 and ended up winning at all in total B finished with a 12-2 record and an 8 no record in the ACC and then Nick Sabin decided to retire while there were some questions at the quarterback position early on jayen M eventually established himself throwing for 2800 yards with 23 touchdowns and he also ran for 12 scores and 500 yards on the ground he's right now a certified star and at the running back spot they had four players who made an impact including their star Jace mclen and then backups royell Williams Jam Miller and Justice Haynes they had a really good running back by committee approach and then they ended up having two really good receivers as Germaine Burton caught 39 passes for 798 yards and eight scores and Isaiah Bond caught 48 passes for 668 yards and four scores scores including that Auburn one on the defensive side of the ball true freshman Caleb DS LED the way with 107 total tackles Dallas Turner led the way with 10 sacks terion Arnold led the way with 12 pass deflections and Arnold also led the way with five interceptions they were a ton of good players from this Crimson tied team and it showed in the 2024 NFL draft JC leam was a top 10 pick to the Titans Dallas Turner fell to pick number 17 and terion Arnold was the third first round pick to the lions in the second round you had both cool BL mckinstry and Chris brazwell in the third round you had Germaine Burton who went to the Bengals you also had jce mclen go to the Falcons their kicker will rer go to the Vikings in safety Jaylen key go to the New York Jets the tide ended up having 10 players get drafted and there are a lot of changes coming to the Crimson Tide for one Nick savan stepped down so kayin deor is now in place and as I said earlier in the intro he won big at Washington he brought them to the college football playoff made Michael penck a top 10 pick and they had one of the most insane offenses in college football I think dor is a great fit and then for offensive coordinator he got Nick Sheridan he's been with D'Or for a long time including when they were both at Indiana and then their co-offensive coordinator is JaMarcus Shepard as the defensive coordinator they got Kane wck who was also with him at Indiana and he was most recently the head coach at South Alabama and was actually starting to see a decent amount of success there I really like their new coaching staff but are they going to bring in enough talent to make up for the losses well let's take a look the tie brought in the number two recruiting class headlined by five-star recruit Ryan Williams jayen mabak and five-star Corner zaban Brown obviously there are plenty of other players on the roster as well and they were litter but Talent head the toe in terms of their transfer portal Hall things get quite interesting there are literally so many names and I'm just going to go through some of the players you could former five-star recruit Corner dman Jackson from USC former five-star defensive lineman LT Overton from Texas A&M former fourstar recruit Keon Sab from Michigan former fourstar recruit King Mack from Penn State fourstar quarterback Austin Mack fourstar wide receiver Jeremy Bernard fourstar transfer from Washington Parker braford and then three star transfer Deshawn Jones from Wake Forest obviously there are a couple of other players who I didn't get to touch on but Bamba brought in some really key players at key positions and especially some guys with a lot of fanfare in terms of the depth chart let's first take a look at that at the quarterback position you're obviously going to bring back Jaylen milro who's one of the top in the country and behind him you'll have both Ty Simpson and Dylan Lan fighting for that backup role and than Austin Mack will likely red shirt honestly out of those three I think Austin Mack has the most potential but he's a guy who might need to sit a year or two before he can actually live up to his hype at the running back position you're going to need to replace the top two rushers in royell Williams and Jace mclen and luckily they have plenty of guys who are ready to step up they should have a three-man monster in Jam Miller Justice Haynes and Richard young and all three of them were extremely highly recruited behind that you'll have both Daniel Hill and Kevin Riley and they have an embarrassment of Richard at the tailback position honestly I actually like justice Haynes the most out of all those five and I think he will probably be the best player in terms of the wide receiver spot they'll have to replace them guys but luckily they have a mix of transfers BigTime talent and returning Playmakers at The X spot you'll have Jeremy Bernard who is a transfer from Washington at The Z Spot you'll have Kendrick law who's already played plenty and then at the H spot you'll have Kobe Prince two of those guys already have plenty of experience with the tide and Bernard is someone who's very familiar with the Bor and his system so I expect them to be great behind that you have Caleb odm Amari Jefferson Emanuel Henderson Ryan Williams jiren Hamilton Cole Adams and Bubba Hampton I have no idea where those guys mix in but Ryan Williams is a five star and probably has the most potential out of any of them at the tight end position you have former Marilyn transfer who played last year CJ DIY and then behind that you have their transfer Josh quavis and then Robbie out hope I said that right in terms of the offensive line You'll bring back Kaden Proctor who did something weird in the portal you'll have Tyler Booker who was a former festar at left guard at Center you'll have Parker brails for the transfer at Right Guard you'll have Jaden Roberts and at right tackle you'll have Elijah pritchet I also think there's a good chance that Miles McVey will eventually play a little bit and it looks like a very strong position group and this is great for the tide in terms of those defensive end positions you're going to have Jian leam LT Overton Kon Keeley and Jordan renod at defensive tackle you have Tim Keenan Jim Otis at the wolf spot you'll have quandarius Robinson and Kuno coat and then moving over to the linebacker positions you're going to have Deontay Lawson Justin Jefferson and Sterling Dixon there's also a couple of other guys again Bama just has so much talent I really don't even know how to sort through it at the corner spots you're going have former five-star USC transfer deanii Jackson then you'll also have zaven brown Jalil Hurley Deshawn Jones Xavier mincy and then true freshman Jaylen andak honestly the secondary is the biggest area of concern for the tide as they lost both mckinstry and terion Arnold and while there are some question marks there is plenty of talent and potential to fill that role pretty quickly in terms of those three safety spots you'll probably have Keon Sab at the strong safety position you'll have Malachi Moore at the free safety position and then you'll have Devonte Smith at the Husky position what's also worth noting is that Drake or Patrick Jr is a freshman with the tide there and maybe he'll get on the field a little bit too overall I give the offense a B+ I really like Jaylen Miller at quarterback they have a strong offensive line they return a talented tight end and then the reason they don't get an A is because one they don't have a super established receiver or running back but again both of those will probably be figured out I expect Kendrick law and Kobe Apprentice to become the top two receivers on the team and as I said they have a three-man running back group I like the offense a lot and it seems to be the defense is in a great position too overall at a school like B players just need to step up and that's exactly what's just going to have to happen this year so how do I think the tide are going to do in terms of their schedule let's take a look again before I talk about their schedule people just need to realize that I am not an expert there are so many people in the comment section in these previews just practically screaming at me for my predictions and ultimately I don't really know what to say like do you want me to say that your team's going to win by 100 points every game and go undefeated win the Heisman Trophy and win the national championship that's just unrealistic I try to make the most unbiased prediction I can and I also put a little bit of my own flavor into it in week one the play against Western Kentucky and this game will be at night and will probably be a blowout they'll have that game wrapped up by halftime and the same thing will probably happen against USF I don't think it's going to be a trap game like last year while the blls have improved under their second-year head coach Alex golish I don't expect them to compete with Bama they will start out 2 and0 before a really tricky game on the road against Wisconsin a lot of people think that Wisconsin is going to be a lot better this year and that coach fickle is going to get things right I remember the last time B played Wisconsin and it didn't go well for the Badgers but again things are really new how will kayin debor adjust and Wisconsin's also hard to beat at home either way I'm still going to pick the Tide though as I'm going to say they win by 10 points it should be a good game though after that they play one of the Premier games of the year as they will come home and play against Georgia this game is going to have a lot on the line as Georgia is mad about how the SEC Championship game went last year and they already have a hard enough schedule as is I already put out my Georgia video a couple weeks ago and I predicted the dogs to win this in a close one and I'm going to stand by that I think Georgia top to bottom is better than bamama this year and I think they're just going to line up and win and it's going to be an instant classic I think it'll be a little bit of a reality check for dbor but I don't think it's that catastrophic for the rest of their season after after that they go on the road to play against Vanderbilt and that game will be over by the first quarter at this time bam will be 4 and one as they then host South Carolina at home while I like Shane Beamer there are just way too many question marks around this game Cox team and there's just no way this game is that competitive Bama goes to 5 and one after that they have the most difficult three-game stretch of their season as they first go on the road to Tennessee I don't think we're in for a repeat of 2022 but Tennessee has a lot of momentum right now and Coach hypo has proven that he can make things difficult for the tide we really just have to wait and see but actually I'm going to pick the vs to win this one I know that might cause some controversy down below but I think they pull an upset once again this will give Bama their second loss but luckily to B fans who want to kill me down in the comment section below I don't think he lose for the rest of the year their first game comes at home against missou who should be a top 10 team at that point and I think this game will be great and as a missou fan myself I don't think there's really any chance we have at winning this one and I think Bama wins by seven or 10 after that they go on the road to play against LSU and again I'm not trying to be a hater on the tigers by any means but there's a lot of question marks for me they lost their top two Superstar receivers and their insane quarterback plus the defense needs to get a lot better so I think Bama goes in and wins a close one there I think overall B goes two and three out of that stretch and maybe they lose to LSC or missou and not Tennessee but but I'm going to say they go two and three in that stretch and then from there they beat Mercer and then are faced with two final games on the road against Oklahoma and Auburn Oklahoma is another one of those teams that sounds good on paper but there's a lot of question marks to figure out will Jackson Arnold be able to step up into that new role who emerges at wide receiver and how is the defense I think Oklahoma will have a brutal reality check in the SEC not because they're not good enough but because they just have a really difficult schedule so while this game will probably be close and really fun to watch I'm going to pick the Crimson Tide to win after that they come home and play against Auburn and until pton Thorne isn't the quarterback at Auburn I'm not going to pick them to win anything big I really like pon Thorn at Michigan State but I just don't think he's that great of a quarterback and I think Hugh frees is very disorganized in what he's trying to do at Auburn right now and there's no reason B is going to loses at home this puts the tide at a 10-2 record and likely a spot into the college football playoff not likely almost certainly I mean I don't know if they'd make the SEC Championship game but I think that would be seen as a successful year for the tide in year one honestly this schedule is actually really difficult Road games against Wisconsin Tennessee LSU and Oklahoma are not easy and then home matchups against zoo in Georgia also aren't easy the SEC is going to be a really hard conference to play in and cayin deor is going to have his work cut out for him in year one ultimately the Wisconsin Georgia Tennessee Missouri and LSU games are going to be the games that determine the season and I think they're going to end up going three and2 in that stretch I could totally be wrong though as Bama could go 12-0 or maybe they could even go 7 and5 at this point we don't really know but be sure to let me know your thoughts down below if you're a b fan how do you
