hello everyone welcome back to Spotlight star Jax Taylor is finally breaking his silence following the shocking news that Britney cartright has filed for divorce just days after his estranged wife decided to end their 5-year marriage Jax took to social media to share a deeply personal update with his fans in an emotional post on Instagram Jax revealed that he has spent the past month in an intensive inpatient treatment facility he wrote a little over a month ago I checked into an intensive inpatient treatment facility scared of the unknown and what I would discover about myself after many years of knowing something was wrong but not knowing exactly what I was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder and PTSD Jax went on to express how overwhelming the situation has been for him he shared it's been a lot to process and an emotional time for me however I've returned home to my son with a newfound sense of Peace I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared for the future but my focus is on becoming a better version of myself than I was yesterday mental health is a lifelong battle it's not about letting it control you but learning to control it back in July a represented news that Jax had checked into a mental health facility emphasizing that he has always been open about his mental health struggles especially in recent months on his podcast the rep added that this is a particularly sensitive time for Jax and his family and they requested privacy and respect until he is ready to discuss the matter further court documents revealing that Britney filed for divorce from Jax after 5 years of marriage citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split Britney recently opened up about her decision on the when reality hits podcast explaining that the choice to file for divorce wasn't made lightly she said I will always be real with why all many have speculated that this was a publicity stunt for the show or to boost ratings but it's the furthest thing from that my decision to file wasn't made lightly or quickly it's taken me many many years to gain the courage and strength to what's best for me to get myself out of a toxic relationship and ultimately see my worth Britney continued it's been tough but I'm stronger than ever and my motivation is my son my cruise deserves a happy and healthy mommy moving forward Jax and I will be doing the podcast separately from now on thank you all so much for the support I love you very much
