talking Yankees Mets and mlb standings

welcome to Sports Talk New York all right I'm going to do just a little kind of going over the standings keeping up people updated um talking a little about the Yankees and Mets um that's pretty much what I'm going to do for this one right here uh so let's get right into it let's go right into standings um Yankees just barely hanging on the 80 and 58 just a half game both of them one yesterday uh yeah just half game over Baltimore and then obviously Boston 10 back T Bay 12 and A2 Toronto 13 and2 uh then you got Cleveland behind them 79 and 59 um for the central Minnesota's 75 and 62 just about three and a half back they're still right there even Kansas City 75 and 64 uh 4 half back so they're both right there they still have a shot and you have Detroit 9 and 1 half and the white sock 48 and2 games back all right so then we go to the uh AL West and you've got Houston at 75 and 63 Seattle 69 and 69 they're six games back Texas is 10 games back Oakland is 15 back and the angels are 17 and a half back so you got that for the American League all right then you've got Philadelphia at 8156 they they got this division um Atlanta seven back the Met are seven and a half back Washington's 20 games back and Miami is 30 games back then you got milwauke 8157 let me check that yeah they're just a half game backup of uh Philadelphia um they're 8157 they got a 10 game lead and they're done of Cubs St Louis 12 games back Cincinnati uh they got about 15 and a half back and Pittsburgh's about 60 in that back and then you have any then you have the team with the best overall record in MLB and that just happens to be the Dodgers at 83 and 55 and then you got the podres still hanging in there about five back Arizona six back and then you got those giants who are 15 back and Colorado just 32 and a 32 games back all right so you go right now if you just take all the division winners you would have the Dodgers then you would have Philly and then Milwaukee and then you would have the Yankees and then Baltimore so yeah the the three best teams right now in all baseball are all over in the National League like it's you have Dodgers Phillies and Brewers and then you get past that then you uh then you get to the Yankees and Baltimore it's yeah that's how it is but all right so let's go to the Wild Card races right now Baltimore Minnesota and KC have one of the they have the three spots and then Boston is about four and a half back Detroit five back and we'll go to about Seattle and stop there and say they are probably the last team with a really good chance to get in and they're five and a half back all right so now you go down to the national league and you've got the Padres you got Arizona and you got Atlanta and then you got the mats half game out you got the Cubs three and A2 and St Louis about 5 and a half and you know we'll go one more with the national league so we'll go to San Francisco that 6 and 1/2 pack after that no one's got a chance um we're pretty much down to our under a month to go now um so all right so that's that now let's get over to let's go to Mets first and see how they've been we got get back P all right there we go so we'll go over to the Mets let it load up bring up the calendar and kind of go back and just kind of see how they've been um all right so we're in the beginning of September so we'll kind of go back to August we'll go back to about here probably should go there but we'll go about here to Miami so they lost to Miami and then they won so yeah they took two out of three again no they took three out of four against sorry they took took two out of three against Miami then they took two out of three against Baltimore they let's see one lost one so they split with the padr kind of needed that one um and they uh let's see how many they take out of Arizona they won lost one okay so they took two out of three and and then they one one and they swept the white socks and then they beat Boston yesterday so actually since the last time I've actually did this they've actually been playing better um cuz they were losing some series here when I sat there and talk last so yeah they're either taking two out of three or three out of three or three out of four but they other than the one series that they split which was with the Padre is it Padres one one yeah with the Padres um that series they ended up splitting probably could have used that one if they take one other of those they're in actually in the Wild Card right now but all right so that's the mats so let's go back now to the Yankees and see how they have been doing and again we'll go back all right so we'll kind of go back we won't count that well we'll go there okay so we'll go to the Detroit series and they lost two out of three then Cleveland they won two out of three then Colorado they won two out of three then Washington they lost two out of three St Louis they lost two out of three and then they beat uh Texas last night um so and I'm pretty sure I'll go look just to make sure cuz I don't want to say it wrong I think since the last time I did this I think uh I think he's still uh Josh I want call him Josh Aaron judge I think is still at 52 home runs I don't think he's had a home I could be wrong so that's why I'm going to double check but they've been a little a little above 500 since the last time I talked um they really got to get it going here they still got a big Series against Baltimore towards the end of September so that's the only series they left Baltimore yeah it is um so yeah we'll see how that goes but all right so let's get out of here and go back to home uh let's see here what trying to figure out where it's at let's see all right lower that's there we go all right bring that back up all right stats let's kind of look at the stats and see where everybody is at we won't go too far far down all right judge still leads in Ops uh let's see Bobby Whit leads in average judge has v second for that uh home runs yeah he's still at 51 he hit his 50 and 51st so yeah he's still at 51 he's kind of been stuck there for about a week a little over a week so yeah so you got judge at 51 Otani at 44 um Anthony sanitar at 39 o Ozuna at 37 stto at 37 even he's kind of gone quiet but RBI judge leads 124 I mean runs Bobby Wht is leading right now judg is actually enforced with that uh so yeah that's pretty much what's going on all right so uh that's kind of my uh little video here this is about the yanies Mets and uh just the MLB standings in general uh so hope everyone enjoyed this um podcast
