prominence with artists like Lil Wayne Nikki Dre and you know that became a serious competition for Jay-Z's Rockefeller and Rock Nation they was competing for the charts um their artist was dope but both labels were Ving for control of the rap scene and of course um at one point Lil Wayne and Jay-Z They had some back and forth tension in their lyrics with Wayne calling himself the best rapper alive and Jay-Z was considered a top rapper by many and then added to the strin between Birman and Jay-Z since uh Birman was closely tied to Wayne's career and supported him as cash money's artist his Flagship artist and then they also had verbal Jabs with uh Jay-Z going at Lil Wayne and then Lil Wayne taking shots at Jay-Z and his wife so that might be why he actually got snubbed um or part of it but another you know significant part of the competition came from the Battle for dominance and streaming Jay-Z lon's title and Birdman had connections with apple especially through Drake and then the competition for artist and exclusive tivity d s further flush their rivalry but despite the competition the tension between Birman and Jay-Z hasn't escalated into personal attacks or deep-seated
