we are joined by with travel how you guys prep um definitely one training at a time it's nice to just kind of get back and get back into the routine of things it is a quick turnaround but um doesn't affect and deviate from the original plan you are in your softball season now FOC um I definitely say like just mindset in in self positive selft talk and just confidence I mean no matter rookie through eight-year vet it doesn't matter I think the same values and things like hold true in terms of just knowing that you're capable and um make a mistake move on fast it's definitely learning current and still working on it but just being conscious of it your goal back yeah I mean it's obviously a really great group um on and off the field and that goal like in particular it was um was off of a great build and so like the goal was great but the actions and the regain of the team to get the ball back I think we had lost it and then the buildup to it was really really something special and arts our style soccer and um I know like in games past two we've we've had we've created a lot of chances and we've also not been able to convert but getting um hard runs into the box and being where you're supposed to be and so I think that was culmination of that and um been some hiccups along the road but when we play our game I feel like it's fairly Unstoppable you said hiccups on the road obviously you beening really well at home um supposed to be a good crowd this weekend for you as a player what do it to have you know a loud crowd in your favor yeah I think Angel City for me personally I was talking to some girls it was a bit over it was overwhelming for sure being in a stadium like that having it be so loud but also very exciting and so um aside from all like external factors being able to be at home and receive that kind of like love and support from our own fans it always is like incredibly uplifting and we have we've have an incredible fan base and just seems to be growing um so it's definitely going to be a huge huge um addition in our corner for this upcoming weekend uh I'm curious about kind of your your positioning on field uh seemed like when you came in you were G to be like a number nine now it seems like you're playing I don't know what you guys call it 7-Eleven yeah outside yeah I'm learning I've learned numerical positions to the last couple years yeah and um was that an adjustment for you I mean you you you've been really successful so far at dling um out so it seems like it fits your skill set pretty well um has that been an adjustment or is this something you did through Youth and you know exactly what you're doing and not really I I can't even say no matter what position I'll I ever play on the field I don't know if I'll know 100% what I'm doing it's also like very specific to like the style of play and every team is very different and I've learned so much since I've been here in the last couple years and I did play center forward but it was a different kind of Center forward in college and colleg is there's a lot of transferable skills but the professional level has definitely been so much more like so much faster and just more competitive in every aspect of it um it's definitely been an adjustment I'm still learning I have a lot to learn and making sure that I'm personally like taking initiative of like everything and just making sure I'm in contact and asking a lot of questions and like staying curious but um no you go where you get on the field and make a different make a difference and can help your team in any way um having watched trainings uh last season and far this year um seems like you're a lot more loose kind of you know hanging out on on the field you know you have your feet under you uh we talked to a couple of your teammates earlier this season when asked who the jokester on they both said you at the same time um so what do you bring to the team overall whether it's you know in breaks during training off the field like what are you what have you kind of decided Your Role is or what do you feel most comfortable that video like I I watched it back and I really like I had a lot of reflection after that and send them a law message because it really did mean a lot to like you never really hear what people say about you and everyone everyone's different so like that was an incredibly special moment for me to know that like I can ever provide and like make my teammate smile and be a good teammate that that meant the world and and I was in my like reflection of that it was I haven't always like been like that it's very I'm also very much like conducive to the team and I think this team allows me to be my most comfortable and like happiest self and like best version of myself the team staff support staff everyone from top to bottom um my role in the team you know I jokes here and there keep it lighthearted but know that like when push comes a shove you step on the lines that you're G to get someone that's like consistently working hard making tackles and like very serious but off the field keeping like just light-hearted and just being happy and fun because like at the end of the day like we we spend so much time together and know every you know at the professional level everyone's going to be that like very serious but finding a good balance in that and just making sure that like everyone's like they version of themselves because when you create that kind of locker room environment it I'm 100% a strong believer in that that will replicate on the field and I think you've definitely seen the chemistry that we've been able to build over the last couple years um I know going back to the home stretch here you guys going back to to last season home crowd yes being comfortable yes but is there something else about playing here that has allowed you all sucess as a um I think it would just also be like the routine like there is definitely a comfortability of like of playing at our field and being familiar with like I think just like the day-to-day of not being in a hotel and whatnot but that's definitely something that like we don't take lightly and we've we've tried to make adjustments and figure that out but again like it's the support of our fans and like everyone here and just being home again is just it's more comfortable and we have to also learn how to be get out of our comfort zone and be able to thrive and succeed in other environments that are uncomfortable you know um so we're definitely looking forward to being home this weekend but also um definitely need to think more and be better on the road Point L when you look at where you all are at this point seon how are you feeling I a lot of season but you feel like momentum building um I would say I mean it's very much like every game we we isolate to that we I think from like our coaches and Sean it's very much like one game happens we're on to the next no matter the result and so we learn from it and we spend time on it but like there's definitely been like no dwelling on the losses but also no like praising the highs we take pictures from each moment we learn and we definitely can like dedicate a lot of time to um to film and like meeting and really identifying what went wrong what went well so we can apply like those Ty of practices to making sure that we want to play the way that we want to play and not necessarily conforming to other teams but also like respecting what other teams are good at um so I think that we've done a good balance like we found a good balance of that um but it's very very much specific to who we play that week and all eyes and all focus is um is on that upcoming game so so what would you say Focus Seattle hasn't still yeah no definitely they have it's it's very strong team with a lot of great players um I would say our own Focus has been we we lost a little bit of our discipline in in um against Angel City n LA with our with our shape and then just kind of like a little bit of cohesiveness it wasn't as fluid as it was in Portland so moving forward comparing the two learn from it watch film and then apply those in practices and really focus on making sure we get back to what we do best because again like I personally believe objectively speaking of course that when we play our best like it is it's the most fun and most beautiful soccer what a what did you all get Casey birthday you well I love Casey Murphy I actually got her a Barefoot dreams blanket so hopefully she opens it before she hopefully she opens it before this comes out and she watches it but um I don't know it's just fun to celebrate her and any birthday you get in the locker room it's always a good excuse to like be fun Rowdy and make sure that we make it the most special um possible but I got her blanket I'm super excited about it's personal favorite Barefoot dreams all right
