Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach, Resort Review 2024

Aloha and welcome back to our Channel today we will update our review on the hayatt Regency weiki Beach Resort and Spa since our last review my opinion of the Hyatt has improved now let's get right into it this property has a good location on calawa Avenue not only is it just across the street from the beach but also there are no beachfront hotels directly in front to obstruct your view of the ocean the property was built in 1976 and has good bones in order to show well the property has to refresh itself periodically and since my last review that refresh is apparent The Atrium of the hotel which hosts shops and dining is now full of tenants it makes a huge difference to have dining choices and convenience shops right off the elevator from your room when you arrive you enter into the atrium level and take an escalator up to checkin the front desk area has low ceilings and feels a little dark but when you turn around you get the Sunshine from the Atrium streaming in so it offsets these low ceilings currently there is a great coffee Outlet at the street level of the atrium as well as a reasonably priced sandwich place both places had morning lines there is also an ABC shop in the atrium to buy all your Beach Essentials and pick up snacks and drinks for the beach the hotel sits parallel to wakei beach so almost half the rooms have a fabulous Beach fronting view they charge more for the rooms on the higher floors because they have the best best views if you do not book one of these rooms you can still ask on check-in to get a room on the highest floor possible the rooms at this hotel will be in one of two towers and the rooms have an updated feel I really like the pool deck at the Hyatt which is situated on the third floor of the hotel it has a very decent sized pool with a deck looking out over weiki Beach the jacuzzi is covered so you can enjoy using it without getting too much sun and there is food and drink service from the cafe at adjacent to the pool called Swim swim has happy hour from 4: to 6:00 p.m. daily and music from 5: to 9:00 p.m. for those of you that are happy to stay at the pool all day and linger into the evening this is a great spot for those who want to spend their day at the beach all you need to do is cross the street and you can rent umbrellas and beach chairs from vendors there there are also Outrigger canoes and catamarans going out constantly from the beach if you want to take a ride in the ocean while we were there the beach was hosting Duke's ocean Fest which was a series of Surfing and Water Events to commemorate the Duke the modern cane of Surfing my favorite event during this Festival was the dog surfing competition and from the turnout on the beach this was a favorite of many the announcer would get on the loudspeaker and tell us about fan favorites or about a particularly long ride each board had a surfer and at least one dog on it and the event was great I stayed watching for over an hour and the dogs were still still in the water when I left Wii loves surfing of all kinds another standout of the hotel is its Buffet at Shore they serve the buffet breakfast in the morning and the atmosphere is bright and updated in a modern style the seating looks out towards the beach or towards the pool deck the rest of the restaurants at the hotel are fine if you don't feel like leaving the hotel but since the property is close to the international marketplace you'll have many great dining options within a 5-minute walk eating in weiki is expensive but at the international marketplace you'll find a range of eateries from moderately priced to expensive to choose from I toured the spot at this Resort and found it nicely updated as well the quiet room has a stellar view of the beach and can I ask that if you like this video you hit the like button and subscribe it's free and every like And subscribe helps to grow the channel getting back to the hotel when I was there the Haya Regency was charging the s price for a room as the hotel's directly on the ocean so the value wasn't there for me but if you were able to find this hotel at a discount off the oceanfront hotels then you might feel very satisfied being just across the street from the beach if I had world of high at points to spend on a free hotel room I would happily book this hotel as I always suggest check pricing for the hotels in weiki using your anticipated travel dates and see if any of the properties are having a special sometimes a great deal will help you decide to try a new hotel you haven't been to before and you will find a new favorite and that wraps it up for this hotel review check back with us next week for new content thanks
