FOLK SONGS TO MARTIAL ARTS AND BELLY DANCERS. THE FOURTH ANNUAL COMMUNITY CULTURAL FESTIVAL, THE CITY'S FIRST AND LARGEST MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL, IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER AND HERE TO TALK ALL ABOUT IT IS VP OF COMMUNICATIONS, KRISTYNA ENGDAHL. OF COURSE, WE ARE VERY FORTUNATE TO PARTNER WITH THE NEBRASKA CHINESE ASSOCIATION ON THIS ONE. BUT YEAH, THE ONE COMMUNITY CULTURAL FESTIVAL RETURNS TO THE RIVERFRONT AGAIN THIS YEAR FOR MUSIC, ART AND DANCING IN THE HEART OF DOWNTOWN OMAHA. SO IT WAS FOUNDED BY THE NEBRASKA CHINESE ASSOCIATION. THIS IS THE FOURTH ONE, AS YOU SAID, THIS ONE HAPPENING DOWN IN THE PARK. IT BEGINS ON SEPTEMBER 13TH, THIS FRIDAY, WITH THE SOUNDS OF THE CITY CONCERT FEATURING THE OMAHA SYMPHONY. THEY ARE A COMPANY. THEY'RE BI CULTURAL MUSICIANS AND DANCERS, AND THE PERFORMANCE PAVILION THAT RUNS FROM 730 UNTIL NINE ON FRIDAY. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT THERE IS SOME TRADITIONAL CHINESE FOLK SONGS, SOME FAVORITE MOVIE SCORES ALONG WITH OTHER MUSIC THAT THEY'RE PLANNING TO BRING TO THAT EVENT. THEN ON SEPTEMBER 14TH, ON SATURDAY, THAT'S A DAY FILLED WITH DIVERSE PROGRAMING MADE POSSIBLE WITH PARTNERS FROM THE NEBRASKA CHINESE ASSOCIATION, AMONG MANY OTHERS. TOO MANY TO NAME. THAT'S FROM TWO UNTIL NINE. AND GENE LEAHY MALL. LIKE YOU SAID, YOU'LL SEE SALSA BELLY DANCING, FLAMENCO LION AND DRAGON DANCE, MARTIAL ARTS DEMONSTRATIONS, JUST TO NAME A FEW OF THE THINGS YOU CAN EXPECT IN A DAY FULL OF ACTIVATIONS. AND AS A REMINDER, THE ENTIRE WEEKEND IS FREE TO ATTEND. SO BRING YOUR LAWN CHAIRS AND BLANKETS. BUT THEY'LL ALSO BE VENDORS MERCHANTS. THEY'LL BE SET UP ALONG THE DOWNTOWN GREEN EVENT LAWN AND GENE LEAHY MALL FOR PEOPLE TO PERUSE. AND JUST LAST WEEK, THE NEBRASKA CHINESE ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCED THE FULL LINEUP OF EVENTS SO YOU CAN GO TO THEIR WEBSITE AND LEARN MORE.
