we're going to take another look at the 2024 recruiting class and today we're going to shine a spotlight on five star wide receiver Ryan Wingo who signed with the Texas Longhorns we're going to look before we start the college football season so you know what your freshman look like for when they start making plays for your team this year next year year after you know a little something about ranked very similarly in both wide receiver seven in the rankings wide receiver eight in the composite 6'1 and a half 210 we got some thickness there that's good to see saw 42 offers that's an elite amount of offers my scale is 20 is good 30 is great 42 40ish 40 range is Elite on top of that you want to look at the schools but when you're pushing 40 top tier programs are after you and then look here just give in the top here Texas Missouri Michigan Georgia Alabama so we got the schools we got some big 10 here and plus many others all over the country playing All American Bowl projected to be a first rounder reminds them of Gabe Davis but he's probably got more upside more opportunity than him once you look at everything Hills from a running back family and possesses the running backs build 6' one and half 210 but makate represents as one of the top receivers in the country experienced in all three phases functional athleticism that fuels playmaking juice we got good size just athleticism we're going to see some fun highlights 1055 100 meters we got top tier speed we run the 200 M we got speed we got gas tank that is good to see we got a track star looking at these numbers at 105 100 they say it's wind AED 105 is 105 that's fast that's cooking we running the 200s we're running the 400s 106 1064 1077 we're always cracking the 10 we're always lighting up the track 1089 we got speed to burn we're over 200 lbs this is going to be dangerous looking at his on three player profile page five star with 247 Sports four star with everybody else though ranked in the top 10 with everybody but on Three's got him at 15 Rivals got him at 11 industry rankings got him at eight looking at the other schools though Notre Dame Tennessee Notre Dame Tennessee Michigan what I'm going to say here is the Market's saying he's a five star the Market's hot for him what I'm saying by the market the college football programs all try to make their bids for them the smaller schools the big schools schools all over over the country they're trying to say hey he's a five star we want him on our team they're showing their hand they're investing in him by sending people out by mailing out letters whatever it takes not all these schools have the same amount of resources especially these smaller ones but everybody's got to take their chance because he's that good of a prospect 6 minutes and 23 seconds let's let this rip Ball's coming over seeing Good Feet there moving laterally well good balance let's see him break loose I want to see that top end I want to see that top end we're got around the sideline we got good balance though we're not going to see the top in but I do see good pop off the step I'm not worried about the speed considering tested a million times in the 100s and the 10 here we go downfield I see burst though off that cut downfield we're gaining separation we're not even at the top end I can tell it pulls up a bit we got speed we got speed I've seen enough players to know he's got speed ball comes his way he's going to be nasty after the catch he's gonna be nasty after the cat look at him go just house is it he's he's gonna be nasty after the catch at the college level Texas has been getting some speedsters they've been getting some speedsters lately they've been coming out of the draft with speed they're getting more speed heads up with the DB it's the cushion subtle subtle cells on the breaks we're downfield can't see the ball skills but I know it happened I I'll take it I just know he got down there with speed and on the cell tactics they're nice subtle and crispy we're on defense playing with some shade ball comes out got the ball let's go let's go let's get there he's got pop he's got a quick turn on the legs as well I I want to see a long one I want to see a long one taken back I want to see where his kicks are at in his speed where he increases in the acceleration when he's running he's got a good initial burst moves Lally well the balance for him being over 200 pounds running in like the 10 sixes or so and then him holding balance like that after contact it's going to make him dangerous going to make him dangerous after the catch around the line of scrimmage heads up with the DB I don't suggest doing that but you got some shade over top he's got good breaks he's got good breaks I saw him looking straight this way before breaking it off this way and then he's very fast off the line with the release yeah yeah he's got that very smart off the release good breaks on him too sells it well here we go again fast and subtle that's what I can say about him downfield ball skills downfield look at him he's strong he's got some thickness to him that's what I like to see on my wide receivers you can see him being in the slot and outside moves around getting the ball behind the line scrimmage I can see Texas using them on some drag routes on top of using that speed to get downfield it's just that thickness that balance after the catch on top of the self tax and routes but that balance after the catch is going to make him nasty with that 10 six speed or so whatever you want to call that number I'm just going to call it speed but yeah that you you can't teach that that that is his main quality among the top wide receivers a lot of them can run routes like that solidly a lot of them got ball skills but his ability to hold balance after the catch at the cat at the contact point and then keep it moving and then kick into that acceleration is what's making them really nasty like right there like you got to come at him right you can't just Breeze past them you're not going to get lucky with a shoelace tackle he's a running back with a receiver skill set he's very aggressive and assertive and then you got the route running on top of that right there coming off the line getting that oh he's going going to burn him Al it's over on that play cameraman struggling at this Stadium the backfield oh we got that edge that edge he GNA walk right in there walk right in that corner son you're looking good dude where we at here we're up top we're in motion you got the ball we're going to take out this edge here cut her up speed good balance again good balance again that is the thing about his game you can move him around take handoffs short quick passes run drag routes those curls hook the curls on the outside like the DB is not coming right after he catches that ball that's a touchdown on those curl routes especially at the next level like there's a lot you can do with this guy he wins in different ways on top of that his route running solid his Feet's very solid I like his balance a lot I'll talk about that all day long like you're seeing it on this play hard to come down good at contact where we at here you guys circle him off pretty snap there he is we're inside we're off ball here we go we got a little clear out we're going up look at that space ball coming in ball hangs there even he hangs up there in a though he jumps good sure he's going to have some good burst to him DB's DB head up or outside head up runs with them doesn't matter good concentration over the shoulder this is a fun fun Prospect to watch here you can't sleep on him what we on defense yeah we're on defense I'm only watching him there we go coming off oh it's over he going to eat that up he's going to eat that up we got like another play or two left is a very fun Prospect what's he going to do here we're getting downfield another thing too we're deep into the highlight tape he's making big plays happening still it's not like just plays he thrown in there lot of these are legit plays which is letting you know that his highlight tape's a highlight tape let you know he's dominant at where he's playing at which means he's ready for the college level it's not like he was skirting by and we catch that with some prospects I'm not just pulling that my hat like we catch that with some prospects where their highlight tape is just okay once you get to the back end of it the start of it you got the meat and potatoes then you get through the back half of it towards the end of it there's just basic catches maybe some out routes here and there no those are highlights he is really making big plays happen he's got good speed he's good after the catch good balance his cell tactics off the break or prior to the break that's where he's going to really make his money at the college level that's where he's going going to really s set himself apart because after the catch he's a monster but he can also break
