Chase vs AJ Brown vs Jefferson vs St. Brown - 2024 Fantasy Football Advice

guys welcome back to the channel Ron ffb I am Ron and I'm struggling to decide who to pick between Jamar Chase om St Brown AJ Brown and Justin Jefferson we're going to break down each guy in this video and by the end of this I'm going to tell you guys who you should be taking number one number two number three and number four of those four players now I am in this exact same situation in my main League I'm going to have to probably pick between one of those four probably one of those three like one of them might be G on by my pick but so I decided to do some of this research I decided to do the due diligence look into the data and I figured why not just share that data with you guys share with you what I found we're going to start this video with Jamar chase at the top of the video so we're going to talk about some of the good we're going to talk about some of the bad and we're going to do some comparisons at the end so stay tuned for that guys if you are not subscribed to to this Channel please do go ahead and give me a like give me a sub let me know what you guys think in the comments let me know if this is a type of format that you guys do enjoy we're GNA start with Jamar Chase and first of all he exploded as the wide receiver five as a rookie I don't know if you guys remember that offseason he had like reports that he had a lot of drops in training camp he was down bad ended up being an absolute Beast wide receiv for five as a rookie me year two he had some hip issues so he only finished as wide receiver 12 and last year he finished as the wide receiver 11 now keep in mind burrow was injured to start the season he had like a calf issue which really limited his Mobility you can really tell that he couldn't really move very well and then he ends up going out for the entire season soar chase you know he finishes as his wide receiver 11 didn't have burrow for he didn't really have burrow in his true natural like you know MVP style form in my opinion but he still finishes wide receiv receiver 11 and specifically very interesting stat is that he averaged 20.6 points per game in the five games that they play together a burrow and Chase so and that's with a hobbled burrow right so very impressive iive here's a stat that I think it's a little bit of foreshadowing in 28 games played in the last three seasons which is concerning he only had 28 games played he actually scored 29 touchdowns in that span so he has very high touchdown and yardage upside um he's he's been you know hobbled he's been injured for a lot of his first three seasons and despite that still has been an absolute touchdown machine right but there are some concerns we'll cover some of the worries now now here's number one he is a decent Supporting Cast now headed by T Higgins who can really threaten Jamar Chase's production really take a lot of those like high value like Red Zone type looks Tans has always been like a big red zone threat so from a touchdown point of view when they get into the Red Zone it's like 1 a 1B type situation so that's what maybe caps his touchdown touchdown Equity there's also like emerging guys on the team that are that that you know the Bengals are really like right now uh next worry is that Burrow's health so we don't know if Joe bur is going to be healthy I don't think he's an injury prone player it just seems he's been dealing with injuries last season he did have obviously the ACL injury in his rookie season but you know we've seen burrow be healthy he's a pocket passer like we shouldn't expect you know above average I think he's just been unlucky I don't think we can expect like above average in in injury concerns another worry or another concern for Joe for Jamar Chase is that the Bengals have the 25th ranked strength of schedule for wide receiver and 29th for quarterbacks which is quite concerning tough sliding might be ahead for the Bengals what that means is essentially out of 32 teams the uh the Bengals are 25th ranked in terms of their the difficulty of their schedule so there are only seven teams with a harder schedule than them and 29th for QB is also pretty concerning right like that means Joe burrow might struggle he might be going up against some really good secondaries so that those are the concerns we are now going to move on to amanra same Brown there's going to be a lot of similarities between the things that I cover on each player so just keep that in mind here's his profile so he popped off in the second half of his rookie season so for all these guys I'm looking at just the past three seasons by the way I probably should have mentioned that up at the top and he ended as the wide receiver 21 in his rookie season so nice second half of the season a really strong ending he had like four games in a row with four touchdowns or something like that or four games in a row with a touchdown and then in his second year he was the wide receiver seven with 106 receptions 1,61 yards and six touchdowns essentially cmed himself as the wide receiver one that season um but there were con some concerns going into the next season you know not a lot of touchdowns he didn't seem like a big touchdown threat guy perfect type of pp pick in the next draft he ends up going to like the middle rounds like fourth fifth round ends up returning on that investment super fat for all owners finishes the season as a wide receiv for 3 and on top of that here's a very important part by om St Brown he won people a lot of championships in the fantasy playoffs right so from week 15 to 17 he had 24 fantasy points 28 fantasy points and 22 and half PPR now as somebody who had amanra St Brown as my keeper last season and then trading him for Jamar Chase I was a sad sad boy and the person I traded him to ended up winning the fantasy championship in my main league right I I got Peko in return for the trade as well so it kind of evened out PCO was really good for me and Chase had a couple pop off weeks for me but yeah I mean if you get the wide receiver 3 and he's the most valuable in the fantasy playoffs you probably probably won that trade next thing he's a clear wide receiver one the offense is pretty much built around him um I know there are like younger exciting options but it's still going to be Omar St Brown and Co so that is good and when it comes to strength of schedule the Lions have the sixth easiest strength of schedule for wide receivers very favorable very nice and Ninth ranked for quarterbacks so great strength of schedule for wide receivers great for quarterbacks that's what you love to see another just very small tidbit might not be important might not be valuable but they they are 18th for RBS so a little above the middle of the fold for RBS meaning they might have some difficulties running the ball some junctures in the season could also be a benefit I don't know here are the worries for Amar St Brown Jameson Williams has emerged or he's emerging at least that's what the training camp Reports say number two jir Gibbs expected to get a lot more receiving work and a lot more work in general and so is lepto right that sophomore bump he's he should be even more cemented into the offense so those three things combined equal how do we expect omra St Brown to either return value or improve on his wide receiver three finish considering three players around him should be on the ascent that's concerning right easy strength to schedule is another concern an easy strength to schedule could potentially mean that there be they would be in a lot of blowouts could be David Montgomery City right it could be a game scrap for David Montgomery next concern does he have high touchdown upside now he scored 10 touchdowns last season can he break that like I think a lot of people were kind of surprised how many touchdowns he scored right and he wasn't you know he's not a big a big receiver he's not like really a Red Zone threat he's he won a lot off of like being a route technician and on top of it he was also like tackled at the one or the two yard line so many times the season prior as well as last season so last season he converted on some of them but he's a dude who who could have even more touchdowns than he's had but yeah man may maybe like the stats show us that he you know he's just not that that touchdown guy if he's getting tackled at the one so often it could be that you know they move away from him they go to bigger bodies like lorta and Jameson and yeah I guess the another concern is like can you imagine him as the wide receiver one like really exploding and and Topping all his previous marks I think it's a it's a rough rough proposition next person on the list is going to be AJ Brown he was traded to the Eagles in 2022 he was an IM immediate stud for the Eagles he finished as the wide receiver six in that season 88 receptions keep that in mind 1,496 yards and 11 touchdowns so not a lot of receptions to be honest only 88 but look at the yardage dude 1,496 with 11 touch so AJ Brown is not a volume guy he's a big threat guy Red Zone guy he's going to get touchdowns he's going to get a lot of yarded think like Julio Jones kind of it but with less volume moving on to 2023 he was the wide receiver 7even so just built on his or I'm sorry he had a a very slight decrease so from wide receiver six to wide receiver seven because he had a decrease in touchdowns so the Eagles offense really shot their pants second half of the season I think AJ Brown was on Pace to completely blow his previous marks out of the water um but yeah the the offense shat the bed so AJ Brown really struggled especially especially in the fantasy playoffs man he was absolutely horrendous in the fantasy playoffs we 15 16 17 at eight 11 and seven fantasy points horrendous he did not help you win I think a lot of previous AJ Brown owners probably have a sour taste in their mouth that could represent you know opportunity for us where a lot of people might be down on him who had him or anyone who played against him would probably also be like not down for that another very good aspect of why AJ Brown is very exciting to me this season is the Kell Moore effect so Kell Moore is now the new offensive coordinator for the Eagles everything Kore touches turns to Gold every place he's been he's turned emerging wide receivers into absolute stud top three wide receivers he did it for Keenan Allen he did it for CD lamb if AJ Brown is used in a similar way you can expect him to be an absolute top top four top five wide receiver with top you know wide receiver one potential it all depends on how they use now the issue here the worries now these are similar to Brown we have the Devonte Smith I would I'm not even going to say emergence just continued Ascent right Devonte Smith is one of the best route Runners absolutely phenomenal think like T Higgins but even more smooth and glidey and just a beast right he's skinny Batman absolute monster Jaylen Herz rushing touchdowns it's another one he's going to vulture Red Zone opportunities just in general right he had like I think 14 how many rushing touchdowns I'll put it up uh put it up on the as a graphic behind me tougher schedule in 2024 meaning they have the 20th ranked strength strength of schedule for wide receivers 19th for quarterbacks so a little bit you know in the in the second not too far in the second half but they're in the second half of the NFL in terms of strength of schedule so not not not really great but also not horrible they're not in the high 20s or anything like that and a concern that I have is that can he get over 10 touchdowns this season so that's kind of like the mark right like if he hits 10 touchdowns you know he's going to get the yardage you know he's going to return that value like obviously you want to see 14 you know 15 16 touchdowns for wide receiver one upside but that's that's a difficult proposition considering the fact that they bring in saquon bar Barkley Devonte Smith as I mentioned Dallas GD who's been an absolute beast in training camp I think he had a a preseason game where he scored three touchdowns and now Johan doson is now in town who they just traded for now they didn't give up a a tremendous amount for Johan do Dodson but we have seen doson be a high touchdown guy so that's just something that you want to keep in mind I don't think he's gonna have a huge impact but yeah I don't know if there's going to be enough volume for that wide receiver one upside with all of those things in mind moving on now to the next player it is Justin Jefferson he's the last player on this list Justin Jefferson exploded onto the scene and in his rookie season was the wide receiver five absolute Beast pro pro to everybody in his very first season that his draft Capital was worth the pick in 2021 he was the wide receiver 4 with 108 receptions 1,616 yards and 10 touchdown absolutely phenomenal fantastic that that was you know kind of like okay this is this he's now the the top top wide receiver in the league right and in 2022 he was the wide receiver one the absolute monster wide receiver 128 targets 1,89 yards but only eight touchdowns so that's a little a little bit of a mark on Justin Jefferson's profile is his lack of touchdowns but there's a little bit more context so in wide in sorry in 2023 he was only the wide receiver 29 but we saw what happened last season right he gets the hamstring injury her cousins tears is Achilles injury it was it was night night pretty much for for Justin Jefferson's value at least that's what we thought right so he ends up getting you know he ends up coming back from his hamstring injury but he comes back to a new cour back it's a backup it's it's a combination of Mullins and then I think dos for like a couple weeks but he actually performed really well with the backup so he had 11 23 8 and 30 fantasy points to close out the season that gives us a little optimism for the fact that Sam darnold should be an upgrade over Mullins and if Justin Jefferson was able to perform pretty admirably with those dudes he should be able to perform with darnold next thing is that they have a great coaching staff and a really good offensive scheme this coaching staff knows how to build an offense around their best players they're going to know how to get Justin Jefferson involved they're going to use a lot of like very intelligent route schemes and and yeah I just think it's going to be a good offense it's going to be a great coaching staff so that's that's an element of optimism for us now when it comes to strength of schedule 11th ranked strength strength of schedule for wide receivers that's very good seventh for QBs that's absolutely great news dude if you're bringing in a dude like Sam darnold and you are concerned about you know how this dude's gonna help his team and how he's gonna uh produce give him an easy strength the schedule that's the [ __ ] antidote that's the remedy for any any woses right have a have a [ __ ] Cakewalk schedule so that's really good and above all guys he's just an incredible Talent incredibly Elite probably the best wide receiver in the NFL in my opinion now here are the worries for Justin Jefferson pretty straightforward he has the worst QB on this list Sam Donald is is the the worst QB let's be honest the team is only projected to be seven and 10 and it could and I'm leaning toward the under on that so I'm leaning that they're going to actually be worse than seven and 10 and if they are worse does JJ lose a little motivation does he maybe want to like retain his health for when they actually have a QB I can see that happen I can see him kind of like maybe he doesn't hit that extra gear maybe he doesn't maybe he slides you know on instead of getting tackled maybe Runs Out of Bounds like there's a lot of there's a lot of aspects in which players play different when they know they're not playing for much right like there's a lot of like past wide receivers who have done stuff similar right I'm thinking of like Antonio Brown I'm thinking of [ __ ] Devonte Adams as well like you saw it in that Netflix talk with Devonte Adams he was like why am I like I'm going to be sent to the hospital man what am I doing okay those are the summaries of the four players now we need to talk about big picture we need I need to tell you guys who I'm going to be picking and my order for each of these guys if you are still here and if you're still listening you're waiting for the reveal why don't you give me a sub man give me a like I put a lot of effort in this I'm not selling you guys anything I don't have a course I don't make any money from this channel if you guys can give me a sub I would [ __ ] super appreciate it I'll personally shout anyone who Subs to this video just let me know that you subbed in the comments and let's move on to the big picture so important part to cover Chase Jamar Chase has had 28 touchdowns in 29 games over the last three seasons so 28 and 29 we're going to do three seasons for all these guys Jefferson has 23 and 44 games AJ Brown has 23 in 47 games St Brown is 21 in 49 games so Jamar Chase is averaging almost a touchdown per game Justin Jefferson less than that right so 23 touchdowns in 44 games I have I'm going to put up the chart behind me you guys can actually see it Chase has the highest touchdown upside by far he produces even without an ideal situation right like Joe burrow being hampered injured doesn't matter Jamar Chase still produced last season in a down year in which he did Miss quite a few weeks he still had two 1,216 yards like crazy insane and he should be in competitive games the Bengals have a difficult strength of schedule as I mentioned so Jamar Chase should return on that value like they should continue to be in game they should be duking it out either neutral or even negative game scripts like I don't imagine them blowing teams out they don't have like an incredible defense so that's that's the that's the the the thesis where I think Jamar Chase is my number one guy he's the he's the dude that on this list of four guys he's produced the most consistently over the past three seasons despite not having like an ideal situation I know you could say the same thing for Jamar or I'm sorry for St Brown that he hasn't sorry for Justin Jefferson he hasn't had the ideal situation you know like quarterback car I mean he had kurk cousins for for most of the that time right and we saw like when he didn't have a dude like her cousins it wasn't it wasn't it wasn't the best like he still performed well and he still did well but it wasn't the best so I just think like when it comes to touchdowns per game yards per game Mar Chase also blows these guys out of the water you can see here 128 yards per game compared to Jefferson who everybody sees as like this yardage monster only 102 yards per game in the past three seasons so despite the fact that Jefferson had those High yardage totals on the season if we look at a per game basis Chase blows him out of the water man 128 per game with almost a touchdown per game I don't know to me it's just like he's set up to have an explosion an explosion year he's set up to to be a wide receiver one he has the yardage upside the touchdown upside he's attached to a good quarterback and a good offense that's exactly what you want that's like it's hitting all three aspects that we want it's just so my top four guys out of the four players that I just listed go Jamar Chase followed by alondro St Brown followed by Jefferson followed by AJ Brown so if you are in a pickle and you don't know who to pick out of those four players I would I would strongly recommend going in that order I hope this video helped you guys if it did I I would really appreciate a like and a sub and I'll catch you guys in the next video peace [Music]
