moment formb went out Elijah prit got put on the right side all of a sudden we can run on the right side and there was no issues right so Elijah pretrick can't pass protect but damn it I would rather have him at this point and deal with that type of problem than what we dealt with with formb that man cannot kick slide out to pass protect like anything I've ever seen before I don't understand it because against Western Kentucky I get it he was going against a a lesser opponent across from him right and that just got exposed badly in this game he actually went against an edge rusher that can bend and the moment this dude could Bend he was gone it's like he got on his hip and just walked right by him every single time uh so that was one of the most obvious things um the thing I said from the beginning of this game is we knew they brought a lot of pressure right if you did any film study they Blitz almost every single freaking play so when I was talking to Tai I said it would make probably the most sense to run mesh routes quick Slants quick outs uh running backs in the flats um even like pyramid routes right like five seven yards up which is how Kobe prenis got the touchdown later in the game the first half it seemed like we were trying so hard to force the ball to Ryan Williams down the field we just ignored everything else right because yes man there was so much open if you go back and watch the film on the other side of the field that he just didn't even look at it was like Ryan Williams and that's only thing we were focusing on was just Hollywood we cannot do that against better opponents or we're we're going to really get pounded um penalties are obvious here so if I look at the penalties 13 for 120 four I'm on forb by the way for holding four holding penalties and it took that long to bring in PR I know he wouldn't people aren't the biggest fan of him after the previous game but my goodness um now just real quick I'll just give a real quick takes on this as far as the offense lack of Rhythm in the offense uh former getting beat obviously uh forcing the ball to Williams jayen milro you got to learn to throw the ball away brother yes when you get in trouble like that you have got to get rid of the ball um and unfortunately from what I looked and I did it I actually had this happen to me so I kind of looked familiar it looked as though Cole Adams dislocated his shoulder is what it looked like on the field so that looked really nasty when he fell and I was like yeah defense once again can't wrap up right got that issue Jihad Campbell was everywhere great night for him in my opinion yeah he had a couple Mis missed assignments but for the most part he was playing all over the field Tim Keenan did an amazing job clect coll yes his gaps his Gap control was amazing um rdb outside of deanii on one or two we're getting smoked on the outside I mean smoked better quarterback play better quarterback play that was it would have bit us it I mean this game we would have been down like 17 points by halftime if it was a better quarterback there's no doubt about it a lack of pass rush at times Q Rob kind of solved some of that because when Q Rob got on the field and he got on that edge they couldn't contain him especially when he stuned inside and the last point I'm going to make here the in my opinion the MVP of this game has to go to it has to go to burnup the punter I mean he did an amazing job keeping South Florida on the other side of the field I mean he had a couple like 55 Yard punts that nobody wanted to talk about I'm like thank goodness this dude has a leg on him for the most part um but yeah I was just disappointed in a lot of things and the fact that why didn't we try to test running on the edge more because those dudes collapsed inside a lot most of the time to stop jam and hannes from running inside they were leaving the edge exposed but we just continued to not try to bounce it out so yeah that's pretty much better athlete at tackle that's why they like the tackles with the long arms and the long torsos tackle you have to be a athlete to really get out get out of your kick slide and block those guys now wilin had he'll learn from this man he'll learn from this he'll get better but right now until we I really think Elijah may need to play more on that right side it's almost like Elijah had a better feel for the right side than the left you know because remember everything is reversed you know your back leg this back leg your right leg is back as opposed to your left leg is back on the left side so it's a lot of different fundamental things that are different when you play left tackle as it is to right T tackle so you know I want to put Tyler back inside you know Booker's a great you know and I we talked about how this guy this this team is going to pressure this team was gonna split you out let the quarterback work I said specifically he's great at going from one to two and after two he taking off you know what I mean he he's not going to try to get to his third read many times he's very uncomfortable going to his third read but I want I want to know what you want to know about our play calling Alabama's play calling from the beginning of the game to we'll just say five minutes left in the game because we start doing really really well for some reason the last three minutes but with before the five minutes left in the fourth quarter John brinsky talk to me about what you think our play calling looked like and do you think it was just a product of the offensive line not blocking so do you want it from both sides offense and defense or just offense yes just offense just offense so I I'll be straight up honest with you when you look at the play calling it looks like they did no studying of what South Florida does these guys bring pressure in so many different ways almost on every single play I don't understand how Jaylen milro did not have drop dump off options I I just don't understand there's a lot of plays where there was no dump off and I feel like that that is a major red flag to me like if you know these guys are bringing five and six a lot of times right so how are you not going to have this guy coming off of a slant or like I said a mesh or some guy in the FL something to give milro an easy drop off to it didn't happen right so and it felt like there was no adjustments made until maybe three and a half quarters in right um I felt like like I said it was steered towards Ryan Williams a little too much in my opinion I get it there was some piis they were holding them we can make all the excuses in the world but there was Kobe prenis I don't blame him I don't know if you guys saw guys saw he threw his helmet on the sideline at one point because he was open two plays in a row wide open nobody was even around him and I was like how does nobody see this um I I really do think I don't know how practice was ran this week right or what they would do uh to have this type of game plan to where it was just so lopsided to one side of the field Jaylen almost seemed to not go through his progressions he would see would look to one side of the field towards Ryan Williams or whoever it was supposed to be and if they weren't there he was struggling right so I I don't understand what happened from Western Kentucky to this week and as far as play calling goes I I don't get it because if you go back and watch the Western Kentucky game which I'm gonna have to do now it's like you're watching two different offensive coordinators Nick Sheridan is the primary play caller with obviously Ken dore's input right so that's the way they have this set up I I just I I don't understand how you have these dump off options and everything in the first game and in the second game they're just erased and were throwing down the field what five or six times in the first half straight down the field past like 30 yards and none of it's working right and they're playing two high safeties so why are we even attempting this stuff it just it didn't make sense to me the adjustments weren't made right away if Nick Sheridan's going to be in the booth you would expect the adjustments to come quicker than him being on the field is what I would assume uh I never played college football right so or coached but but that's what I would assume that's your I guess that would be your primary advantage of being in that Booth so you can you can make the Personnel adjustments and stuff like that because you see the whole field on defense and offensive side and it just didn't happen um yeah I thought it was very aggressive play calling that we just need to learn to throw six or seven eight yards to open Kobe Apprentice running a pyramid route or something like that we don't need to go deep every play thank you a whole fact and before you go brinsky let me say this that's a key point that you said that man because remember this guys these guys are playing two safety High we we didn't give the running backs a lot of chances in the F in the first you know couple of quarters we didn't give them a lot of chances man and if you don't give the running back the ball passing Pass and Pass will throw your offensive line out of syn and it'll throw your running backs out of syn trust me I know personally if you pass blocking every play it tends to make your offense not as physical right you got to run the ball we just kept he's 100% correct man we got way too pass happy and the offense tend got out of sink a little bit three and out three and out three and out what you think brinsky play calling play calling was very very questionable on the offensive end it felt like somebody was playing college football 25 run the ball a couple of times and then we just looking deep every play to to their credit uh the referees did a horrible job when it came to pass interference pass interference was probably should have been called like five times when they didn't call it but they was everything on us so but it balanced out at the end when you look at the um uh stat sheet with all the penalties but man the play calling was just horrendous I don't know what was going on like you said coach they was getting too cute at one point with with the plays man I don't I don't even know what was going on like we just went completely we just started doing things differently that we normally don't do and you can't look for Ryan Williams every play every play man I'm like he let him develop he'll get there I about to say yeah if you want to make him the uh big play guy that's cool but like John was saying man Kobe Prince was open so many times yes he was lot of M throws uh Jaylen that one it was one set that Jaylen took that you know what the funny part is there were two tight ends on the field now why were there two tight ends on the field why are you running a jumbo set on that on those on those last two particular drives are we doing that because are we trying to help compensate for a tackle like we should have been doing the entirety of the game our game instead of just playing around and let and letting wilen for me just let just just leave him on an I damn Dam on an island him getting beat on inside stunts with the defender just constantly Crossing his face or or or they're running outside stunts and he's just and he's just he's losing and the running back and the running back and and and and Roberts has to compensate for for for just him just getting beat and we made no sort no no no adjustment to it no tight end to kind of help chip the defender nothing and it it's just I the the play calling Nick Sheridan and and kayin theor was atrocious I mean I I just got caught the way it is guys it was it was terrible it made absolutely no sense why we played around with this team for this long without making any sort of adjustment um in this game knowing that the Run game was your strength why Elijah Pritchett who is again not the best pass protector out there um but in terms of just his athletic ability his his his physical size his strength his quickness the fact that he is probably better suited for this you know you know because we run a lot of a lot of pin and pole and just getting the tackles out to open space like you know like been implemented for a long time why wasn't he not included in this game it makes no sense I actually thought he was injured um but the fact that they did not have any faith in Elijah Pritchard until late in the fourth quarter that's concerning to me because if Proctor's not back and we have this right tackle issue and then you're kicking out Tyler Booker to left tackle and then you're kicking 72 inside that is going to be an issue um because it what it what what it what what it definitely showcased today was that we just have no death we have no death at all and I I am I am just I'm BL I can't believe we actually went through this again um the exact same situation the exact same scenario of liter I mean are how we scored against South Florida what happened because we added two tight ends toward the tackle side and it was the exact same case again we didn't get going offensively until we actually added those those tight ends it makes no sense this was a timing recalled game and this is even worse because the weather the the weather isn't even a factor it was clear it was a beautiful night it was just simply your team did not show up the play and your coaching staff entirely didn't show up the play didn't show up the coach as school right to bump Tyler from guard The Tackle I know he's versatile I know he can do that got coach Carl about to come in too I know he can do that shout out to coach Carl what up car how you doing Coach man listen what's going on I understand that Tyler can play tackle but to bump that kid from left guard to left tackle um and let against a team that bring as much pressure as we did as they done I just don't understand the the the schematics of it man I don't understand the schematics of it I just really don't and and and I'm not getting on wilin like that I know he a young kid but wilin was not ready to play in that game man uh their coaching staff saw it they attacked that man just like Coach Jay said they went at him same thing I would have done if I was coaching against balma and you know like I said the kid got caught several times with his hands out of place we got to get that fixed man the coaching staff has to get some type of Rhythm in play calling we got way too pass happy man early we did not give our backs enough chances we got way too pass happy I want you guys to talk to me about this coach J coach Carl you guys just got him we start with you guys first I want to know how you feel like the defense played man we talked about the play calling we talked about earlier uh about some offensive things some things that really really concerned us I personally believe the defense saved us this game you know what I mean even though a better quarterback it we probably been 14 points down early in this game because we was getting burnt like cheese toast straight up he just was missing the receivers red got burnt on one the other young man got burnt on one I mean they he ran right by him both of them but dude couldn't hit him Coach call I want to start with you what do you think about you're a defensive coach I want to know what you think about how the defense played from front to back in in my in my opinion they played harble in on the back end on the front end on the front end in certain areas it was okay I I really don't like that 3 three that 335 defense is was horrible at 335 they got no pressure and then they just opened up the russing lane man like for the quarterback like it was just unbelievable how much time that man had how much russing Lane he had and I mean he ran the same play like what eight nine times in a row you just drop back fake pass and quarterback keeper up the good g eight nine times in a row moved all the way down the field and they just kept running because they kept lined up in that 335 that 335 is really not good my question would be what happened to pay Smith and all the other defense alignment that the rotation that you have last week what happened to that defensive rotation what happened to the F down lineman with the edge rushers coming off the corner like we had last week so we kept getting pressure kind of like they did in the second half they got more pressure with the for down alignments and Clos up some of the gaps but every time they go into that 335 they were just giving up russing Lan giving up Rush Lan giving up Rush LAN and then they thought I mean like you said man if dud was just a hell bit accurate we give up what 20 23 points or so if he was a half bit accurate so I mean like [ __ ] that was put it like this that's Tennessee offense and that's Tennessee and that's Nico I don't think Nico miss those wide open touchdown passes with those guys just streaking pass like Xavier Brown mix I mean he got burnt a couple times today and I'm sitting in the stadium looking like man what the H like and but when he put a bway over that side bway press corner he he drove the kid Straight Out of Bounds manto man pressure boom took it straight out of bounds and that took that wide receiver clean out the Rock and that's how we got that sack on a very next play and B played really really good in the fourth quarter at that corner so he may be playing that corner from now on over xaven Brown because Xavier Brown really couldn't play press I think he more of a a Zone re I mean like a Zone type Conner but Malachi Mo scares me like the further he get from the ball the the more nervous I get because he had maybe one or two peaks that he didn't even break on the ball he stopped and wait on the guy to catch the ball and then try to make a hit T try to make a solid knockout tackle but he make a play on the ball so like if that were maybe King Mech he probably would have broke on the ball and got a pick because the balls a but like two yards in front of him he just stood and Wai for the guy to Kat the ball and then he tried to get a knockout tackle so in all in all the defense saved us more in the Red Zone because they didn't have that much room to cover and then they can bring more different type pressures and I really like that part about it but the last touchdown Drive they had I I feel like they should have put more big bers in the game when you got it right down that first and goal I would put more big boders in the game but I don't know man like it was very it was very concerning sing that crowd the students body came all the way out the top of the session and sit down there like they were surrounding us screaming in your ear you really can't hear because they were so nervous like they came all the way out of the top they start sending our section and we sit in the LOM section right they had us flooded surrounded by little kids man so you really couldn't see much I tried to get videos and the video was just blocked by little kids but I mean I don't know man if we play like that next next week in when uh WIC probably take H I said like that with Tyler Booker playing type tackle I would have never move Booker to the tackle I would kept Booker at guard and took my chance with a tackle I mean you gonna take your chance with forsby you might well take your chance with another tackle and kept your kept your two guards solid because Booker was at T at tackle even though he he missed a couple blocks at tackle he held his own at tackle but your guard got killed the you replace killed all night long so there's no way I would took Booker out of the god and put him at tackle knowing that I don't have a service of God to go behind that you gonna switch the god out why they didn't just go with Rob Thomas he play center guard he the bag of Center why you just go with rock Thomas rock Thomas when he come in and play center he he snap the ball get off get and get up real fast so you gonna try to spare me in that Center I mean go I would brw and rock Thomas somebody that play center you know you got to get your hand up real fast playing Center and that mean you a smart kid you can pick up all the chicks and all this you so I would have done that instead of bringing in somebody that nobody knew anything about that kid got all night long and every big play we had fors be get a holding I mean it was it was bad man it was horrible yeah it was bad coach Jay give me something what you think that defensive side of the ball I thought yeah I coach said it perfectly um we were just in that heavy we were just in that 335 heavy and I listen I listen I was a fan and proponent of uh you know of of this of this heavy rotating of our defensive backs getting five six dudes just heavily rotated in the defensive back field I'm starting to get tired of it already and listen I understand that we're we're trying to figure out who are who are going to be the guys but you are messing up the communication you are messing up the continuity of this defensive backfield um because that's because they were you know at least from my vantage point they were at least two three times in this game where it was just a lot of just miss Mis Miss uh communication that was even with our inside linebackers in terms of just of everybody crashing down and it's just the quarterback is just free of for the outside or they're just running a read option everyone's crashing down again and the running back is pissing is picking up huge yards it was just I I and we were just staying in that 335 I I just I I just getting sick and tired of the heavy rotating of of our defensive backs and linebackers and listen I get it it we're going to get a lot of experience um from it but Georgia is two weeks away from us uh Georgia's two weeks away from us and I listen Wisconsin they're not let's be honest they're not a great team um speaking of that their ticket prices went up because of this game so what it is so they they think that they can they you know they which they could maybe um but you do this against Georgia Georgia is going to kill you um because you know yeah there were three pass in this game and literally two of them on the same Series where if this quarterback is just solid in terms of ball placement touchdown the game has changed the trajectory of the game has changed and now they then they have all the momentum and we could be talking about a different result if this quarterback was just semi semi this could have been like a very ugly ugly game we could be talking about a loss here that's how bad we played and strictly that's I mean we got away with a lot of stuff man we we got away with a lot of stuff so um I thought we played solid on defense again you know again like once we got into the Red Zone we started to kind of tighten up and and put some big bodies in there but just overall wise man this was not a great showcasing on either side of the ball facts man BR give it to just need them to just stop playing press coverage right now because exactly because we getting beat on the line it was just so I was like bro please do not hit this one and the guy literally ran uh a go route two plays in a row and miss two plays in a row thank God CU I thought it was a replay at first I'm like is he doing it are they showing a replay no that's the next play and it landed in the same spot twice so we really lucky tonight man as bad as we play usually when you play like that against uh smaller tier teams and you keep them in the game that's when the game get interesting that's when you get upset and we almost let them come in our house and do that on when it's supposed to be Nick savings night that would have been embarrassing and you can tell that he he was embarrassed by all the penalties CU they literally got him uh with his folded shaking his head we know what that mean yeah like come on man they was playing undisciplined all game long man on both sides I'm like safety play was actually pretty good for the most part um I know Malachi more people want to you know he got burnt on one of the plays I get it but in my opinion Malachi more his energy and enthusiasm in my opinion really helped right he was kind of the leader on the defense in the back end because when I to go to the sidelines he was over there with you know what I mean uh with the defense speaking to these guys trying to bring him up and stuff like that so if anything like you guys have spoke out to already I think the experience was a big deal to have Malachi there for that alone but um and Keon Sab should have had probably one interception in this game and that one where he he then near nearly jumped the ball I was I thought he was going to get it but yeah I thought that s's played pretty well and as far as like U Tim Smith he had one good play uh Q Rob I really like uh he had pretty a couple good plays but I think Tim uh Keenan man like Keenan my MVP that he is a monster he yeah monster the whole game in my opinion um but yeah that was a very physical quarterback there's no that I mean that one drive where he ran like five times in a row I'm like this dude is really just he is willing to give it all up like right to get get in the end zone and yeah it was impressive man like South Florida did a lot of talking and I have to say they backed it up for the most part that coach is a good offensive coach man I'm a offensive guy coach he was the offive tene in 22 when we got fact look Joe Willie made a point man and and I I'm telling you man it's crazy that he put this comment because when I think about he did look like he said I didn't like coach de Bo's energy on the sideline he looked like Brian Kelly there was a time in that game when they scored and I think um it was 14 or 13 or something like that he did had his look on his face like I don't know I don't know I don't know him well enough to know what he was thinking but to me it looked like he was worried he looked like I did like oh [ __ ] he was like a oh [ __ ] like a oh [ __ ] look you know what I mean so I just think he was probably shocked at how bad we played man I really do man I really practicing for this Bama game since last year so their fans G to be ecstatic like coach J say they they raised the price they'll play their best game against Alabama because they have to they have to guys they it's not one of these things we're going to go out and fall asleep this is Alabama they're going to put lay all their marbles on the table in this game if you go out there getting penalties giving up sacks you going to be in a fight on the road this time and that you may not survive so we got to get that cleaning up man you definitely won't survive two weeks after that that's a whole two opponents Wisconsin bu than Georgia is that enough time to fix some of the things that we saw or do you think it is what it is I mean they can fix the offensive line struggles within a few days I mean all you got to do put Tyler Booker back at guard and swap out the tackles I watched the guy practice W up in the stadium reason why miles M Bay is not getting a lot of opportunities to tackle is because he come out of his break too slow like when he get in his kick step it's way too slow I think his kick step is slower than dang what the guy name that we keep Elijah priter like I think his kick step is way slower than Elijah Pritcher so that's why he's not getting a lot of reps cuz you can you can sit in the stadium and you can just watch him the offensive line go through their reps he moving way too slow like I mean he moving way too slow but you can fix the offensive line jayleno you can't fix and as Jayla mirro being a season vet Junior quarterback red I mean like a red shirt Junior so basically senior year as a quarterback the some of the dang blisses that he didn't pick up man that's like sitting in that Stadium like just you can see the blitz like I'm a defensive coach and I'm sit here watching the Bliss coming I'm like okay he they coming coming straight up the good through the guard if he roll out to the left he gonna be wide open I mean he had all grass in the world he roll to the left but by being a right-hand quarterback he do everything to the damn he do everything to the right so he trying to roll out to the right man just roll out to the left you got the whole field on the left side just roll out to the left and you straight like everything is good and you roll left when he finally start rolling left he start looking up you got Ryan Williams in here which he missed Ryan Williams in the open field by himself no one around he catch he hit Ryan William in the second quarter know that's eight80 yard touchdown because he but he he threw it about over the tight end head D pre when Ryan we was sitting the flat wide open I mean it's just like a lot of bad reads man if Meo can make the right reads the running back hit the right holes Kendra La don't f a kickoff return Jam Miller put two hands on the ball start trying to run over people and just Juke them I mean it's just a lot man it's a lot of stuff that they were trying to do I think it Alabama with on the field Julio Jones and all the other folks that came in that was just walking the side line it was like a whole lot of distraction so maybe you know being in Wisconsin next week you get rid of all that distraction on the sideline and then they can just focus on football and then just go out there execute it probably be better because man it was bad man I'm telling you like the stuff that y'all don't see on TV you sending the stand you see every time jayen mirro come off the sideline you got other you got Blake Sams and who else is that Jake Coker and two other quarterback on the sideline talking to damn miror kayn the bull pulling miror from the sideline because everybody want to talk to him like they out there trying to fix offensive line problems and miror on one end talking to all the other quarterbacks damn wide receivers over here talking to other wide receivers running back talking to other running backs man it was like it was just so much distraction going on in that stadium and it was like man I'm talking about the crowds were rocking but the kids seemed like they were just a little bit overwhelmed with all that extra attention and then you know I mean when mirro did make plays referee didn't call none to hold and pin none to pass inter so when he finally made plays offense finally got good blocks they had pass interference down the field they didn't call and I think that more because s was in the stadium too and they just went getting Caleb the boy [ __ ] because s was there so it's a lot going on man maybe it's good that Nick s just stay the [ __ ] out of the stadium man like stay out the field stay out of the stadium and I don't know I think you can fix it the defense is the defense is going to be okay like I really do I just know for one thing xaven Brown he shouldn't be pressed call uh Deon Jackson shouldn't be impressed because de man Jackson get beat line in press Corner think he more like a Zone player or twoo but the younger the more youngest guys that came in that Nick saing recruited those those young corers that came in even with Jones when Joan came in in the fourth quarter he played press and he played press really good you know he's more stronger solid strong type corner so he when he actually bump and run he knocking the guys all they strive so I mean I think the defense is gonna be okay man we just got to pick it up on offense offense is the bigger issue that we have and once they get the offense rolling down here man and like I mean biggest I mean it's just another thing Jam Miller just to Hay not hitting holes like they they making the wrong reads you got you got green grass on the outside and you want to stop and try to turn it back up just bounce it to the outside and just keep running straight to the sideline till you run out of real estate but no they turning up on the inside back in the day you know Tren W and and Mar would have ran that thing all the way to the sideline and then turned up now these guys are have they have the angle all you got to do is just keep running but then they'll stop and try to cut back in on the corner he man no you got a wide receiver I do blocking just run on to follow the wide facts all fact Let me let me get coach Jay in here coach Jay I need to know can we fix this stuff man before these two big well really but I know we got one game Saturday but can we fix it before the game two weeks after that one yeah thank God for the buy because if the buy wasn't there then I don't know if it would have been time to to fix all these issues but no I think the offensive line can be fixed like you know coach said if you just slide Tyler Booker on the inside we got to get Kaden Proctor healthy and um like I said I I if there could be a situation where he's not going to play in the next game I'm already prepared for that but pritchett's gotta play like I I can deal with the fact that he's not good in passing sets I know what he's really good at and you and you can use that like you did in like you did in the fourth quarter you can use his athletic his his athletic size his profile to your advantage um you got to figure out that left tackle spot it can't be Tyler Booker though you gotta Tyler Booker is is important to play at that guard spot jayen Roberts Parker bford you know what's funny I mean if you have Rock mtgy play center and then you and then you have and then Tyler Booker plays tackle and then Parker bford plays guard I would have been fine with that because that's what Parker bford was before they moved him inside that Center at Washington he was a guard so I I have so no so kayin dor and Sheridan well not not Sheridan because sharan was at Indiana but theor you you you were there you saw that man grow develop to play Both Sides at guard and Center why was he not at guard and then you could I don't know but yeah it's just there's a the offensive line can be fixed or at least you can help kind of compensate for the loss of Kaden Proctor but I just right tackle man you that's you got to fix it right tackle left tackle you gotta fix your guards it has to stay you cannot kick out you know Tyler Booker at that at that spot you just can't do it in terms of Jaylen miror he is what he is I I'm not I'm not going to sit up here and say that he's going to throw for 4,000 yards and that he's going to throw for a bunch of passing touchdowns he is what he is um he's a phenomenal he's a phenomenal he's a phenomenal athlete um that does have that does have some really good passing ability um I think he's improved a little bit in his progressions um his ability to kind of process I think still needs to get better um but it's just he is just making the the same mistakes and matter of fact it's funny cuz South Florida was using a very similar game plan to what they did last year it was to a point where where they were just they was to a point where again at first they were just rushing they were just rushing you know they rushing five and they just had a they just had a linebacker spy then it was just to a point where they just when they figured out okay we don't have to do that we just run Base Four yeah just run four just run Base Four and that's all and then and then we can have two linebackers that can spy and then we can fluster them and then as soon as they were just pushing in pushing the pocket pushing the pocket back and forth right into jayen Merrell's lab he was panicking he panicked and he tried and and he was either trying to make the play by Rolling to his right like coach was talking about rolling to his right or he had to try to throw the ball away and again was I happy with these rece again I couldn't get the you know again you know knowing you know knowing TV and knowing our angles I couldn't really see it for that much but was the were these receiving Concepts great I have no idea if it was I'm guessing they there weren't because some of the replays open soflo did a really good job in the second to kind of lock it down but it's just the concern that Jaylen Murrow is just not not checking not checking it down to the flats or checking it down to the running backs he's making the exact same mistakes like he did last year and so it's like yeah you're a fifth year Guy this is the last year for you this is make a break for you to potentially get drafted as a first round pick or you could be potentially be even moved as a day three guy he's got all the athleticism in the world he's got the physical tools to do it he's he's just he's gota he's got to do it he's got to do something upstairs he's got to fix this game and offensively it's not all jayao it is up to our coordinator and Nick Sher and it is up to the boore to help to put this man in the best possible situation to succeed tonight we didn't do that we didn't do that until the last four minutes of the game where we decided to compensate for our right tackle weakness or the or or for this instance because you put prit in the game for our right tackle strength by just adding in two tight ends by running 1213 personnel why why weren't we doing that earlier in the game and then using milro his running ability I have no idea why even on the goal line where we decided to go we all know Jaylen Merl is not good and under uh under under Center why was he not why was he not again taking shotgun and then and then running the football that's been successful all night why weren't you doing that on there on the goal line like we we just weren't putting him in the best possible situations to succeed so knowing that what he is and you're not helping him and you're not really help hell you know you weren't even helping out your tackle we all know what forb was tonight you didn't help him out either and so no this was just I think a lot of this is fixable um but we gotta we got to get it fix fast right because Wisconsin you asked me a week ago I thought we would have blew out Wisconsin because Wisconsin's not a good team they're they're just not they're not a good football team but however like like you said coach Sean they've been preparing for this game for a while Luke fickle believe who's openly stated like he talked about like having he already has a game plan stated for B and this was something you can go back and watch the interviews he talked about this uh when they when they asked him during uh during media days he's prepared he's already got the game plan ready week one against Western Michigan was just basic was just vanilla was just a vanilla offense he's not gonna reveal it until this week so uh until next week so we got to get it right man um and if we can get it right I'm just praying that we can get that we can just get through it undefeated get it with the Buy on our side um because if we if we can't I'm telling you next week is going to be a mess if we can't get things straighten out that's a whole fact coach Jay you and Coach car hit a nut on the head brinsky can we fix it we need to make it to that by week man that's all I to say bro we need to make it to that by week fast we need to get Kaden proor uh healthy as soon as possible because I don't need to see him any changed on the sideline no more this season I need because we need them we're not playing guys that I thought was going to uh be playing early in the year we switching out everybody on defense um like every different every play but we're not switching out on offens on the offensive line is kind of worrisome we got a only thing that's good about today man Auburn lost that's the only thing that's they kind of balance out about everything but man we got a long way to go especially with this offensive line I'm really concerned about these uh tackle positions more than anything the guard position I'm not worried about at all but we really need to get those uh tackle positions fixed sooner than later but like I said the Georgia game is approaching week five that was said thank God for that buy this couple of guys get healthy and all that as if we play like that we're going to lose very badly on our home field and it's horrible to hear man because it's it's so true John in your opinion can we fix it yeah I I think I think most of it you can definitely fix uh like we've already repeated the B week is is going to be a huge help I think the offensive line is probably one of the quickest things we can fix in my opinion um you can't really just give someone more experience on the back end as a defensive back right so um there's not much more to compensate other than just having safety help over the top uh or moving Malachi Moore around right uh positioning your Rover right to help with the DBS uh but then you're opening up the seams of the field and unfortunately you're about to play a Georgia team in a couple weeks that they could expose that right so they have guys on the outside and they run the seams about as good as anybody right now with Carson Beck so um I think Wisconsin and Tyler van djk it shouldn't be a huge problem um but I I think that we got to get a lot of things shed up during that game to at least feel comfortable that we won't get smoked against Georgia because that would have happened tonight there's no doubt about it we wouldn't even been in that game Carson Beck would have hit those guys for the for the walkin touchdowns um and then we'd be having a whole different conversation you what I mean that we're having right now um yeah the score is obviously very misleading we already know that but I mean it's just it's a lot to look at I need to go back and watch the game probably two times uh just to account for everything right so I mean the right side the the Bandit position like constantly caught out of position or they're just being pushed out it it was disappointing to see their their quarterback basically just moving to that right side right to the right side of that Center uh and every time he got near his H but he would just move up field he would take off it's like and there was nobody nobody in front of him and it's like where where the hell are these guys where's the Rover at like and where are they at they're caught off to the side at a position and it was like okay I I don't understand it at this point I think a lot of it's going to have to be fixed with Kane wck now I will give him credit to this though I think they adjusted pretty well after the first quarter and a half and at least slowed those guys down right um they brought in they had somebody actually spy Q Rob SPI a couple times I know Deontay Lawson um Deontay Lawson kind of got caught out of position a couple times as well by the way he got caught up in traffic a lot and could not get off blocks which was big dis like a big disappointment to me because there was wi the slots were coming up and blocking this dude out and I'm like okay you're you shouldn't have this problem with these guys uh but it is what it is there's nothing else to it then this these guys have a lot of coaching to get done to them so that's a whole fact man and I agree I don't know who I can't remember who said it and I agree 100% I think the rotation of defensive backs has to stop right so it's it's got to stop this point yeah there we go and and hey Coan yes sir it wasn't much about Lawson being out of place lawon took a Lawson took a real good block from the Blind and he start looking that way when the plays coming direction oh go he started looking that way you can start see him like he was be lining toward plays he started turning his head looking for the block and he was overrunning most of the plays all when he get in and get in traffic and once they get his hands on it he wasn't trying to come off it because of those Blindside blocks you know once somebody hit you in that ear hole you start for it you remember yeah as a fact start looking around for it so I think he they got in his head with that that early early that crackback block and he been he was just turning around looking ever since then but yeah but you right John man they got to play better on because on the road you gonna need them this constant sub that's actually how Western Kentucky had that long drive we kept substituting all these different people you know find your people and let them go out there and get and get used to starting man I think we're doing a little I understand why I get why but I think at some point you got to stick with the guys who gonna be your starters just for a little while man just for a little while these I think I'm G take something else key too me and Coach Al shout out to coach Al because we talked about this Jay only threw the ball nine times last week I think that hurt us this week I think that hurt us we did not get to see Jaylen really in his Groove I think throwing the ball on the nine and we didn't need to obviously with the score right I get it but I think the starters on that offense needed to play more now because I don't think we were in sync all night long when the offensive line played well it's almost like the the passing game didn't work when the offensive line played bad obviously didn't nothing work when Elijah come in we scored two times I mean I just weren't satisfied at all with the with the continuity of the offense right you can punt I don't mind you punting but show me some type of continuity in the offense and I don't think we had that all night long man um lastly last subject before we get out of here I want to know coach Jay I want to know what you think let me start with you on this Wisconsin game now I know we can look forward to the Georgia game and all that but I'm I'm one you know even when we did score predictions the other night I told him I don't really give a score prediction but I predict us to win by such and such points I didn't even feel good when I said that because I'm a pessimist by Nature I knew South Florida was gonna comeing here and could potentially make this a fight right because if things don't go the way it's supposed to go you going to look up in the fourth quarter and your ass is going to be in a fight right their coach actually had the greatest speech you're not playing Alabama you're not playing that emblem out there you're playing just that guy out there whoop the guy in front of you if you don't think Wisconsin will pose just as much challenge as far as um I won't say offensively but defensively these guys could potentially play their best game against us I don't let that South Dakota Game fool me I don't I I don't even care nothing about it because going on the road is tough man that's still a big 10 team we know they're not World beaters by any stretch of imagination but they could potentially play their best game they they'll they'll lay it all on the line next Saturday against Alabama because everybody gonna be watching that game right and and those kids got Pride too they they they know they hadn't played well right give me what you think about Saturday Coach Jay yeah it's it's we don't show up we're going to lose the game um because we're clearly just not we're not ready we're not we're not ready yet um to to to show that we are a complete football team um this was an issue last year where again we we played against Texas week two and and that was arguably one of our worst games from a complete standpoint because offensively we just kept making too many mental mistakes defensively we kept making way make way too many mental errors and you know one of our you know it it it cost us it it definitely kind of cost and of course we got better in the second half of the season but this is one of those situations where yeah Wisconsin they're going to look at this football game and they running air rates they they run an air rate system so it's not going to be like this sort of situation where you're going to have a mobile quarterback that's just going to you know that's just going to gash you and they're going to be running a lot of re they're that that's an air rate system um the bad thing is we're gonna be running we're probably be running a lot of 335 and so you know that's something that I definitely could see as running for the most I again we've played against air raides before Mike Leech Mississippi State it's nothing new um but it's going to be very interesting since one of our weak points that I've seen the last couple games is when our when the defense is really spread out and you're all of a sudden you don't have your big run stuffers that can go in there and control the line of scrimmage that's kind of always kind of I think has been the weak spot of the defense so I'm very interested to see how this game is going to work um Wisconsin you know looking at what they did against Western Michigan they still can run the ball I think their offensive line is actually solid um yeah but they got you know defensively they got some players especially in the secondary with with with Ricardo hollan who could be a first yes sir yes got that secondary and so this is g to be it's just it's interesting because if we don't if we don't put our best foot effort we we can lose this game and I would say that this is probably the most important game of the season even more than the Georgia game because we need this bye we need some sort of momentum that can help us get better and improve to the next level and if we can't do that this is I mean listen I if we lose to if we lose to Georgia or om miss or any other team I I'll take that because you can afford to lose two games this year and you can still make it inside the playoffs like you can go 10 and two make it or even nine and three maybe and make it inside the playoffs you know but you don't want to risk it by losing early you just don't want to risk it this early and so this is a very very this is a this is a statement game for us for us to make and I'm curious if a lot of the mental lapses um that we made tonight if we can just fix half of our issues today yeah I think we'll be just a much better football team and you know we can definitely go ahead and win that game but I'm not going to chalk it up to I'm just not you know if you asked me a week ago yeah I would have said we're ready no I'm not choing this game up at all and the Wisconsin fans they're chirping like I said before ticket prices Sky I mean before you can find a ticket price for like $18 now all of a sudden it's like the lowest ticket price is like 42 bucks um at least for what I've seen so far on StubHub so I that it may keep increasing because they're goingon to they're going to Hype it up uh I think Wisconsin actually is undefeated so this is gonna be they gonna be loud too coach Jay they gonna be loud yep C Randle 12 o'clock pm um it's I mean which is 11 o'clock Central Time for a lot of you guys out there so this is gonna be a so for a lot of you guys this is a morning game you you know you saw the last time what happened when we went on the road um yeah in a in a in a morning time environment look what that happened so I'm I'm curious man Wisconsin's not going to be a pushover they're gonna give everything they got if we can't fix it we're gonna lose this football game coach car man with with with with with coner coming up man I'm kind of like the chat like most of people in the chat are read it's gonna be a different Alabama football team this week I'm telling you from what I'm seeing in the second half of this game I thought seeing the defense get a little more focused I start seeing the offense get a little bit more focus in the fourth quarter and they start moving the ball more effectively it's kind of like once they once they got out of the Nick saving phase they start actually start playing football once they saw the two outside tackles man the issue with the two outside tackles the b b football gonna be great I don't see Wisconsin posing that big of a threat offensively because of the skill we got on on the on the defensive side run that if we run that 425 and out that 3 three 3 three5 defense we'll be okay if they come out that 3 three5 probably gonna get ran over for for a little while but if they come out with a fourman front will'll be okay offense going to probably pick up G G correct most of the issue they have and just be honest with you man sending them stands tonight I realized I already knew Ryan William was was a dynamic player but Ryan William true he is really the TRU every single play on the rpos he he was 10 yards gone if jayen Miro just pull it and thrw it he had six seven touchdowns because they run rpos he was gone all the line P gone manto man last year you know Michael pennis he pulling that thing and he was gunning that [ __ ] down the line to aroman Doomsday it's like I said mirro just made a bunch of bad reads tonight man he just handing the ball off he should have pulled it but if he make the right reads next week against Rich csin because I'm proba sure Rich CS probably gonna try to man up and play the wi receiv with manto man and I do think they tried to force the ball to Jon Bernard little too much tonight instead of just running the offense and then get the ball to him as it go I think in the first quarter they were trying to force the ball One Direction trying to get him more touch because last week he didn't really get much so I think next week man they'll be they'll be ready to play WIS cussin with no distractions on the road early they should come out lock in ready to play and if they don't and we gonna be in trouble but I really think it's going to be okay I mean just me being a Bama fan and me being a coach you know coaches make adjustments at halftime so they made a halftime adjustment so this game is it's going it's like we needed this game to to like catapult but forward for the rest of the season we needed this game because they came in thinking that they were going to roll through South Florida beat them to death South Florida came in and punched them in the mouth and they need that kind type of game to know just just to wake you up man that's like you in a 12 round match and then you sleep in the first five round and get knocked out then you turn around and come in and start swinging punches and then you end up winning the match so I think we'll be okay man right brinsky what you got Wisconsin um the only thing I can give them credit for uh for Wisconsin that they just have a loud Stadium but I'm not a big fan of tyan diap but we still can't go in there uh sleeping because we'll get caught off guard like we got caught off guard tonight but I don't think they're gonna go in there sleeping they gonna be well prepared they already know uh what's at stake hopefully well I'm actually kind of glad we kind of had a night like this so they won't be looking ahead to Georgia they know they got to take every game one game at like Co sa used to always say uh it's a new team every year what you did last year is last year a lot of these guys are new that's playing out that you can't just look towards the next week you got to focus on this week so we got a lot of work to do um throughout the year hopefully we can get a lot lot of our main problems out the way sooner than later U man CU it's tough man just watch that game but we'll be all right I know we'll be all right uh Jaylen will be all right he just have to uh get out his way a lot more uh this upcoming week you're GNA find out who's there to play and who's not because I have a feeling it's going to be one of those things if you would have watched the body language of Malachi Moore you would have watched the body language of Kobe prenis and these guys like they're pissed right so they're just mad at the overall performance of the whole team and I think you're going to feel that this week and you may see a change of heart on what it's going to look like on the field um the next thing is going to be during this Wisconsin game we got to start seeing adjustments sooner especially on the offensive side the defensive side what they were made it just took a while right and then the offense was just like you said Briny like look the two tight ends didn't come into to the end of the game like you had nobody given a chip block or nothing to help out like uh and said you know what I mean like form me or anybody until the end of the game and of course that makes Elijah pret look really good and yes he is his strength is run blocking it's not pass uh but I've already looked in Wisconsin a little bit I already watched their game um number one I feel like Tyler van DJ's not going to beat you with his arm in my opinion and Wisconsin doesn't have that Elite running back in my opinion yet like they had with Monte ball and all those guys through the years so I'm really not too worried about Wisconsin they do have a pretty good back end um that's pretty much all I got I think we'll be pretty good against Wisconsin the big fear is obvious going to be you got the bu week then you're going into Georgia um and look I know a lot of people are overlooking him but Jackson Dart if he stays healthy he's going to be a problem uh for us as well um I don't know if you guys watched him the past two weeks but he has been killing it right so he looks way more developed obviously Nico with Tennessee like we play a lot of really good quarterbacks um but yeah I think this is
