hi and welcome to Davis sports report please like the video to help us get into the algorithm also subscribe if you have not done so already and turn on notifications so let's talk some Dash dialogue there's been a lot of Buzz about the diamond League inviting gold medalist Sydney mlu lron to the final leg of The Season's meets just to snatch the rug from under her and take that away shutting her out so how and why is the question people want to know Diamond league has 17 regular season meets or at least that's what I counted and it stated that you have to participate in at least one of those meets in order to be eligible so here is what the CEO had to say and his name is Peter stanney he stated it is not about allowing a specific athlete to compete or not it's about rules and criteria which must be fulfilled by all to becoming eligible to compete at the wdl final Miss mlin lone does not fulfill those criteria either by accumulating enough points or receiving a wild card the final leg of the diamond league is not an Invitational meeting and any athlete proposed for a global Wild Card must have competed at least in one of our events during the season and yeah that's where the controversy comes in right because one everyone was reporting that she would be at the meet I mean got us all excited to see another you know matchup between possibly Sydney and fim Cabo just to snatch the rug from under our feet so thanks for that also you know there's a lot of the athletes that are participating and fans of those athletes that felt like it wasn't fair for Lon to be able to come in without Meeting those criteria and possibly you know winning the big pot at the end whereas there's fans of great athletes that feel like she should be in I mean if you saw her in the Olympics she was just amazing I personally feel like based on that alone the the rules should have been bent a bit to allow her to compete at this final um meet of the season and you know really give us the show that we want to see I mean I think everyone would love to see that rematch so let us know what you guys think she was going to compete in both the 200 and 400 again at this league meet I really feel like somebody fed this thing up by by putting that invitation out and then coming back and saying whoops n you don't qualify so let us know what you think should they allow her to compete I mean it's coming up on us pretty quickly I believe the meet is on September 15th um the have one meet coming up on the 5th which is today and then yeah the last meet will be the 15th in Brussels I will watch but it would have been a lot nicer to watch with Sydney participating so leave a comment let us know which way are you going with it yeah let her in no don't because she didn't meet the criteria we'd love to hear what you have to say again comments below like the video if you haven't done so already and we will see you on the next one goodbye
