WE HAD TRIPLE DIGIT HEAT OVER THE WEEKEND AND YES, WE'LL ADD MORE TO THAT NUMBER THIS WEEK. 103 IN SAN ANTONIO TODAY, 105 IN PLEASANTON, UP TO 105 FROM DEL RIO TO EAGLE PASS. COULD SEE EVEN SOME TRIPLE DIGITS UP IN THE HILL COUNTRY WITH THE HEAT AND THE HUMIDITY, WE'RE TALKING HEAT INDEX TEMPERATURES THAT WILL BE EVEN HIGHER. SO THERE IS A HEAT ADVISORY AND THIS RUNS UNTIL 8:00 THIS EVENING. BY 5:00 PM, WE SHOULD SEE THE HEAT INDEX THE HIGHEST HERE UP TO 107. SO STAY COOL. STAY SAFE IF YOU'RE SOMEONE WHO WORKS OUTSIDE, LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. TAKE FREQUENT BREAKS AWAY FROM THE SUN INTO A SHADED AREA OR AN AIR CONDITIONED ROOM HERE'S THE HEAT DOME. IT'S PARKED JUST TO THE NORTHWEST. IT'S A STRONG ONE, SO THE HEAT HERE HAS INTENSIFIED AND IT WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO HEADING TOWARDS THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK. HERE'S THE SETUP RIGHT NOW. STATIONARY BOUNDARY RIGHT ABOUT THERE THERE IS A FRONT, A COOL FRONT THAT EXTENDS FROM NORTH OF DALLAS TO THE NORTH CENTRAL GULF COAST AND UP ACROSS THE NORTHEAST. WE'RE SEEING RAIN THAT'S MOVING SOUTH FROM ARKANSAS TO NORTHERN LOUISIANA. ANOTHER AREA OF LIGHT RAIN ACROSS THE NORTHEAST, AND ALSO SOME LIGHT SHOWERS ACROSS THE INTERMOUNTAIN WEST. OUR NEXT RAIN CHANCE WELL IT'S ONLY 10%, BUT THERE'S A CHANCE WEDNESDAY THURSDAY, INCLUDING FRIDAY, UP TO A 20% RAIN CHANCE THIS WEEKEND WE'LL BE WATCHING THE GULF OF MEXICO THIS WEEKEND. A WEAK UPPER LOW MAY COME IN FROM THE EAST AND PRODUCE A COUPLE OF SHOWERS NOT VERY PROMISING, THOUGH PARTLY CLOUDY, WARM AND HUMID THIS MORNING. NOTICE HOW IT CLEARS OUT AND IT HEATS UP FAST. LOW 90S AS EARLY AS 11 A.M., POSSIBLY UP TO 94 AT NOON, AND THEN TOPPING OUT AT 103 DEGREES. SUNNY AND VERY HOT IN THE WESTERN ZONE. SAME FOR THE HILL COUNTRY. EASTERN ZONE. HEAT INDEX TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 100 AND 7 OR AND 110 105. FOR THE ACTUAL HIGH HERE, TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY WILL LIKELY HAVE HEAT WARNINGS THOSE TWO DAYS 10% RAIN CHANCE WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 20%.
