he's leading the entire national league in F War but if Otani goes 5050 it's a wrap we have vintage Luis saino seevi went seven Innings with one earn run five strikeouts so back-to-back starts for Mets pitcher going seven Innings and I think the Mets might have fixed Phil mton he struck out two for his third save of the year he has a 1.7 era and a near 10 strikeouts per nine since joining the Mets the Mets have won five games in a row they're half game back of the Braves the final wild card spot whereas the Red Sox they're still 4 and a half games back um so like I'm going to speed run through this 108th loss by the white sock because at this point I just feel bad but White Sox fans on Twitter and social media they're now cheering for the record they want the most L's ever I tip my cap they're trying to make light out of something that is all-time bad Gunner he's heating up again he ties Miguel tahada for the most home runs hit by a short stop with 34 I thought that Cal Ripken maybe had one or two 40 home run Seasons I guess not the Orioles went up after RBI from sere and Austin Slater and I for sure got to show this Ali this RBI base H was his third time getting on base they really need him to keep this up going into the postseason Mullen had an RBI double Austin Slater had two more RBI so this is just getting mean and honestly I didn't even know that Emanuel Rivera was an Oro I thought that he was a diamondback or a Marlin or something like that that is a two-run triple and Cedric Mullins is kind of having a Corbin Carol esque second half he had an awful first half he has 14 home runs and 25 stolen bases on the season but that's in large part because of his second half Renaissance he had a 76 Ops Plus in the first half he has a near 140 Ops Plus in the second half the Orioles have 80 wins now this was kind of fun Jack ligher and his high school teammate Anthony vulpi they faced off for the first time they both committed to vanderbelt but vulpi he the best trade the Yankees have made in a long long time Anthony Rizzo is back he blooped in a two-run double he now has three RBI in his first two games off the I he's done more in the last 48 hours than DJ lame has done over the last couple months Garett Cole was really really good before departing with a calf issue he had nine strikeouts in six Innings he probably gets in a double digits had he stayed in the game Stanton speaking of double digits he now has 10 seasons with 25 or home runs hit so he passed his bike trout for sole possession of the active lead in that department the Yankees also have adws but because they have one fewer loss than the Orioles they're still a half game up on the Orioles Osvaldo beo of the A's has been him the last month but Cal righ he's been him all season Cal starts us off with his 28th home run of the Year Victor roess got on for jrod he stole a bag so this sack fly is actually going to be an RBI for jrod Victor has been an absolute Menace on this game is getting good the Mariners they answered right back with a Justin Turner game tying RBI but Shay he wanted to remind us of something what's better than 24 25 Shay's second of the game and 25th home run of the year is a game Ender the A's they're 23 and 17 in the second half and in terms of production they're top 10 in team Ops as as an offense and they're also top 10 in team ER as a pitching staff I'm not saying the A's are going to be World Series winners in 2025 or 2026 but they're cooking up something pretty cool down there the Mariners better send the Reds a thank you card or something to show their appreciation because the Astros W could have ended the Mariner season not technically but being down seven games with 24 games left there's only 24 games left in the season that's crazy but yeah that's basically an impossible feat you just saw JB walk three consecutive Reds Hayward made a nice grab but because of all the walks that is an bi sack fly for Ty France who has a 120 Ops plus as a red so far the Astros did tie it because Cincinnati said hell no we are not pitching the yordon Alvarez they still had to face the dangerous yaner Diaz who's now batting 300 with teams can make the playoffs according to odds makers the Mariners have a 6% chance the Reds have a less than 1% chance can they win 20 games in a row let me know here we go we have a rubber match game if you have no idea what a rubber match is it's a decider of the season series so that Dodgers have won six games the Diamondbacks have won six games mooki and Freddy they didn't do a whole lot in last year's playoffs but but they clutched up in this playoff type atmosphere Betts had an RBI to left field and Freddy he had a two-run home run to left field now we're going to fast forward to the later Innings because the Dodgers started throwing Haymakers and some Jabs Otani he stole a few backs he stole one earli in the game here he is with his second and third he's got 44 home runs and 46 stolen bases with 20 plus games left in the season Otani completely manufactures an RBI for Freddy Freeman on that sack fly Will Smith he is trying anything he can to get hot that is a two-run double after the sack fly and that was followed up by another two- run double mooki he secures a three RBI day which Freddy then beat 435 ft for a second two-run home run of the night he has four home runs and 10 RBI in this four game series and it blows my mind that Freddy hitting 288 with a 880 Ops is Freddy's Worst season since 2015 the Dodgers they are flying high at 83 and 55 and they win the rubber match they win the season series against the Diamondbacks it's going to be really tough for the Diamondbacks to storm back and tie the Dodgers not just because La look locked in but the Padres they just got tatis back and remember he had 14 home runs and eight stolen bases while playing on a broken leg he was going to be the starter in the All-Star Game and it might take a few games for him to get caught back up to game speed now the story of the game for me was Joe Musgrove arise he gave his pitcher a lead in the third and that's all that Joe and the pitching staff needed Musgrove he weaved his way through six scoreless with eight punch outs that big looping curveball got col Keith guessing so tatis is back Joe has a 1.3 earray and 27 strikeouts and the five starts since being activated off the iil and the bullpen is crazy as well newcomers Jason Adam and Tanner Scott they finished the seventh and the eighth and before swor got his 31st save Luis arise and Manny Machado they clutched up again by the way Luis has 15 strikeouts in 97 games as a padre Manny he has another RBI and that basically ends it for Robert Suarez who has 31 saves and because he didn't allow a run his earay is back under two so they lose Josh hater but they get a better relief pitcher in Robert Suarez at least he's been better this here am I seeing this right the Cubs brought in a kid to be a broadcaster I don't know if you won a competition or something but that kid had essentially front row seats to seeing Danby crack a home run and then Ian ha he ripped a two-run three bagger later on in the game I think that Ian might be on the biggest hot streak of his entire life he has 17 hits over his last 10 games and eight of those 17 have been extra base hits and he's got 10 RBI in 10 games Jameson tayion he was great again he's been fantastic in the second half three base hits across seven scoreless all the Cubs Bullpen had was not do that Brian Reynolds he ties it with one swing a three-run blast completely shocked Wrigley Field and McCutchen he silenced them entirely you could have heard a pin drop and the blink of an eye the Pirates they steal aw rennolds has 22 home runs cutch has 18 and 317 for his career also by the way he has a 14 game hit streak let's talk about how big that loss was for Chicago let's break down the standings real quick we're also going to do an update on the stat leaders as well as we'll try and guess the pitcher and hitter because when it comes to the pitcher I have absolutely no idea who this is so we've already talked about the fact that the Orioles are a half game back in the Yankees in the East the twins are three and a half games back in the Guardians because the Royals have dropped six games in a row they're four and a half games back the Astros we know that there six games up on the Astros but in terms of the Wild Card side of things that's where things really are most interesting because the NL is pretty much sorted the wild card is far more interesting because the Mets are a half game back of the Braves they won five five games in a row whereas the Braves have dropped back to back games then you have the Cubs despite the fact that they just lost to the Pirates they're still within three and a half games and the Cardinals are kind of in the race still in the AL side of things the tigers are five games back the Red Sox are four and a half games back but they got to thank the Royals because they're only in it because the Royals dropped six in a row staying with the Royals it's kind of crazy that Bobby Wht Jr and Aaron judge are both slumping at the exact same time so judge he's still number two in terms of batting average he's trying to go for that triple crown he is 12 points behind Bobby Wht Jr look at vlat almost hitting 325 we have scoble he's leading the entire world in wins erra and he's tied with strikeouts with Dylan CE but that still counts as a Triple Crown I believe in terms of home runs we know it's Aaron judge followed by Otani look at Anthony sandir about to become the first witch hitter since Lance burkeman with the 40 home run season we also have Chris S Zack Wheeler Zack Wheeler has been very impressive I don't know if he's going to win a sa young but he's one of the more underrated pitchers in baseball we have Jack flarity rounding out the top guys RBIs we have two Guardians with 100 judge we know that he's leading everyone look at willia Damas with 99 RBI in a walk gear Hesley is just ahead of Cl with 42 saves we have hits Bobby Wht Jr strikeouts ceas and scoble stolen bases Ellie is still leading everyone but look at Otani who has 46 now again he's got 44 home runs and 46 stolen bases and Zack Wheeler he's tied with Logan Gilbert for the most quality starts in baseball again I have no idea who this pitcher could be so I'm going to talk about the batter oh that's easy if you guys don't know this I would highly suggest again I've said this before in other
