A LOT Of Teams, Even More Questions | BTN Bus Tour Reaction - Part 2 | Bigger Ten #164

forged on the grid iron in September perfected in the magic of March for the fans who love the crunch of the pads prefer a dunk and expect nothing but the best this was the Big 10 now this is bigger 10 here's Steve da indeed it is and we have made it to game week I'm Steve Dace with my co-host never partner Aaron McIntyre brother you ready to rock and roll apparently not apparently not I'll tell you what happened I Was preparing for this is the first week for confidence picks I Was preparing for that throwing together uh the the graphics and things of that well first of all it's three pages long now we used to be able to fit all of these even in week one on one page with 18 teams but it's three pages now long now with our bonus picks I was going through your picks kind of arranging them and everything like that and you had uh USC versus L LSU and I'm like what did he have an aneurism while he was putting this together that that's not a big 10 yes it is actually it is now I know I really thought that I was like what the hell got into Steve we're not just picking any game we want to off of I know and we got we have since we're in the non-conference season we have 18 games this week in our league 18 yeah all right but before we break down games um we've actually got to finish breaking down the big 10 Network's Camp tours so two weeks ago we did their first nine schools that they visited and I I broke them down what I what stood out to me on each special on our Twitter feed or X feed at bigger 10 we thought it'd be interesting if you did it for the second nine uh and kind of flip the script where we share your notes on these teams and then I give you my reactions to your notes I thought it'd be interesting and so did you if we turned it around yeah so I uh I watched all of these the first night that they came out and then when it was time cuz I volunteered to do this for you since you were on a little mini vacation last weekend take one thing off of your plate at least and so I I was actually kind of watched all of these twice to kind of jog my memory as I was doing this thread on Sunday so you could tell and maybe maybe you had a different reaction because you've watched all of these episodes too uh it's it seemed like as we got further and further into camp and and by the time it was over teams were done with their camps we were basically into normal practice uh it seemed like even by Big 10 standards Big 10 Network standards we able to glean less and less from each episode towards the very end I should say I will tell you I I did struggle to come up with compelling talking points watching the second nine compared to the first nine yes I agree and I wonder if it's because Ohio State and Oregon are in the first nine and they're considered pardon me they're everybody's favorite the entire network picked that to be the Big 10 championship game you know could be yeah yeah all right so let's get it going here this is Purdue we pick it back up with the boiler makers on defense revson says it was tough to gauge where they are because a number of starters were out said Ryan Walters told them the ones were out because he knows what they can do uh the entire team on the Big 10 Network praised the wide receiver room at Purdue and overall quote feels like a better team than last year but the schedule is rough which is translation for we don't think this team can win very many games true or false well I know revson was also banging the tables I know this does not look like the 18th you know team in the league but then tell us who is Right are they are they going to tell us who the 18th team in the league is since they've seen them all and we have not um I agree the roster is upgraded um if he doesn't turn the ball over it's possible Hudson card could be like the all big 10 quarterback the problem is he turns the ball over um I think five wins is the absolute most they could get with the schedule that they are playing because I agree it it the that to me they're the anti- ruers um if you go back and watch the special on ruers and we talked about this two weeks ago there was a ratio of 70% Talk of the schedule 30% Talk of the roster they're kind of the inverse of that um where you start by looking at their schedule and even though you point things out about the roster that have been upgraded to the transfer portal everything is a disclaimer you know what I'm saying it's like yeah but you know are they going to beat in order to aim in an non-conference you know I mean there there's not a lot of games on that schedule for Purdue where you're like not even a tossup maybe three and that's tough sledding for Ryan Walters in year two we'll go on with UCLA Foster did a better job than his initial rollout at Big 10 media days but it's clear these these settings where he's got the light on him the media line light on him he is just not comfortable I don't if you watched versus listened to his um interview with I believe I can't remember I think it was Ashley Adamson and Yogi Roth this is their second swing out out west the dude was perspiring now he probably just came in off the football field but he got progressively more sweaty as that interview went on that poor guy but I think it seem likes him I I don't know that seems like uh seems like uh seems like that's the case uh the entire team on the Big 10 Network agreed that this is a rebuild but they all of them said this is not this is my words kind of paraphrasing them it's not a terraforming like you see at some places like Michigan State for example yeah dinardo said that there's quote development to do on the o line says this team won eight games to the last three seasons and the other season won nine games Yogi says he doesn't see the defense being successful rushing four right now translation between dinardo and Yogi that means they're just not good in the trenches well this was a sneaky Dynamite defensive front last year uh three of their members from last year's defensive front for the for UCLA are in NFL or on NFL rosters right now including um you know one of the top uh edges picked in last year's draft who was I I think the best defensive player in this year's draft except he has an injury history and that downgraded him a little bit so they just have not been recruiting at that level uh Chip Kelly frankley has not taken High School recruiting seriously the last few years it's pretty much been a a transfer portal kind of a program and then when you have a coach bolt on you at the time that chip did and a new guy come in who's clearly not ready yet uh you're just not going to be able to replenish those ranks I I think their depth is uh is a serious issue if you look at their schedule the amount of traveling they're doing all over the place um you know they play LSU on the road in the non-conference thoughts and prayers to UCLA for that matchup there's an early season game with them Indiana is coming to the Rose Bowl I think like week two or three and I'm going to be fascinated there because I I I don't think there's going to be a huge HomeField Advantage for that if you know UCLA fans they don't tend to show up unless it's a marquee game like USC or somebody like that uh Indiana hasn't played a game in the Rose bow I think since they last made the rose bow they lost to OJ Simpson in USC in 1968 I think they'll be very excited for that trip I think the talent level is you know UCLA probably still a little bit more overall talented but the depth isn't so much so that Indiana could not win that game that that is a game I have an eye on my eye on kind of maybe the most underrated game in the early portion of the schedule to kind of be an omen for what to expect but I I just think Ethan gber is a pretty okay quarterback but the depth on the line of scrimmage is not there overall um I could see them getting a game or two against maybe somebody you don't expect with those receivers and that quarterback getting hot in a given day kind of like a team that is a great three-point shooting team but doesn't play a lot of Defense you don't really want to play them in a tournament setting but over the course of an 18 or 20 game conference schedule they're probably not going to be a factor in the race because they don't get enough stops that's kind of what I think you're going to see with UCLA so I I could see them getting a meaningful big win like a against like a USC but finishing still like 4- eight or five- seven speaking of USC second stop on their second swing out west Yogi praised the wide receivers uh dinardo this stood out to me he says he's been at that point in the tour impressed as he had been through the tour with the offensive line dinardo also added the defense is behind the offense so far and says defensive coordinator Lynn needs to be patient on that side of the ball Yogi said this will be a foundational year I took that to mean and he said as much the foundation as far as as uh Lincoln Riley he's he's already laid the foundation and this is kind of going to be a gauge this is why this is me reading into that this is kind of going to be a gauge of what US c will be or can be going forward under Lincoln Riley the offensive line comment because by this point they've already seen Oregon they've already seen Ohio State they've already seen Penn State so that does give you the Spock one eyebrow for sure I mean their wide receivers man are absolutely Dynamite but they always are yeah I mean but but they're Dynamite I I think A lot's being made about Miller Moss playing against a Louisville team in a Bull game who didn't want to be there who started the year 10- one uh and then lost uh you know uh to Kentucky um at the end of the season in an instate rivalry game and then played just a a really just a rock fight ugly game against uh against Florida State who lost its quarterback in the ACC Championship game and their season was over they didn't really want to be there USC was in the transfer portal trying to lure a cam Ward kind of a player uh as their starting quarterback until Miller Moss went out there and threw six touchdowns in a bll game and no one was more shocked by that than USC was okay so um I I they've got talent for sure um the offensive line thing I think is a good sign defensively though I would worry about that when you look at their early season schedule Aaron they open against LSU they have to go on the road to Michigan by the first month of the Season that would have me a little bit concerned um also you know if the defense is that far behind then deont Lynn did an incredible job at UCLA last year what dinardo's telling you there is they've got some Personnel issues Beyond just tightening things from a schematic standpoint so cuz across the board no matter where you are what level of football you are what's always true this time of year defense is ahead offense so that is a yo y yeah y all right back out east we go to Nebraska man if you wanted to learn anything interesting from this stop just having Dave and Howard on this one made it the dude it was brutal toughest one to decipher it was brutal yeah I mean the cliches abound yes um said Rola was impressive that's not surprising and and that was before I believe this aired before uh they made their stop before he was named the starter uh revson says there's a chart out outside in their practice facility uh declaring who's turned the ball over and how frequently in Camp good because they've tried everything to stop turning the ball over at Nebraska at this point Matt R is just going to shame people I mean they' tried everything else maybe that's a normal thing in college football but that stood out to me I haven't heard of that before uh Big 10 Network noted 31 possession losses in the last six seasonred guarantee there's never been anything like that in college football history the na uh the team prays the defense being good enough last year and says the athleticism particularly upfront is as good or better than last season on that side of the ball I mean defensively their front Seven's legit uh it's one of the best in the country one of the best in our league I think you got a defensive coordinator there that's probably going to be a head coach here in the not too distant future somewhere in college football I think that unit's legit now it was very legit last year they didn't play a great schedule of quarterbacks a year ago they kind of don't play a great schedule of quarterbacks this year either because there's not a lot of great quarterbacks in the Big 10 this year uh that opening game against shadur Sanders in Colorado I think will be a real barometer um because you know you know the one thing Colorado can do is wing it and uh and against that Nebraska secondary that's a little bit shaky and that's where now is the complimentary aspect of football from an offense that's not constantly just removing a shoe and a sock and shooting itself right there in the foot over and over again that's really where it comes in I think it speaks volumes now you know I was raving about Dylan Rola when I saw out of him coming out of the spring okay when we did our Spring football wrapup but it does also speak volumes that a guy who went went to three high schools and as a true freshman is basically the stabilizing Force at quarterback to stop turning the ball over I think that that gives you an idea of how desperate they were to avoid self-inflicted errors and just inventing ways to lose football games which has pretty much been the problem for Nebraska for about the last six to seven years so uh if if Dylan rayola is just a C+ quarterback they will get to a Bull game anything better than that and and it's possible they can win eight to 10 games all right last one uh and then we'll take a break come back Iowa dinardo said the offensive line is actually more accustomed to what he's seen from past Hawkeye units probably the best Iowa offensive line he's seen in the last two to three years that's a positive questions at wide receiver no questions at tight end great defense Yan Jerry said I think at least twice quote if you don't have a quarterback you don't have a team yeah that when I watched the Iowa special that there were two things that that Jerry dinardo said this entire Camp tour that you know really gave me a uh you know a a punch in the face reality check when he said on pen at Penn State this looks like every other Penn State team we've seen which okay I mean I mean they've been pretty good most of these years but 's a lot of expectation that they're going to kind of move up now with all the people they have coming back Y and Michigan's going to they're going to take kind of Michigan's place there next to Ohio State in Oregon right and so he just kind of walks in there is like well it looks like every other Penn State team we've seen H and then the other one was this one right here well maybe there was three when he said Ohio State's offensive line still is a ways away yeah only because of where their expectation level is it's nattier bust for them you know but to say to I mean I you tell me as as an Iowa fan you're watching this you're like trending okay cool that's good good you know I mean offensive line looks like it's back to he might as well just have just said this looks like the same Iowa team but then when he said that about the quarterbacks you felt like which of your testicles just got caved in y yeah so there's that now this was before Kirk fence made the most tepid naming of a starter that I've ever heard that was during his press conference talking about his one game suspension he basically named him Starter by saying well if we were playing a game tomorrow we'd probably start him that that was that was him declaring the starter naming the starter so I I better hope better hope that Kade mcamera has made some strides over the last couple of weeks I know that Phil Steel's hoping that right now because he's got Iowa in the college football playoffs yeah the number of pundits that have that I mean the this what I think there's two people on Inside college football and CBS Sports Network do you watch that show by the way yeah I love that show it's a good show yeah it is um watched it for many many years two or three of the pundits have Iowa in the playoff the number and I've seen others the number of people that have Iowa in their projected playoff makes me want to actually bet the under seven and a half wins for Iowa this year all right we've got one last group of teams to go including the now defending national champions we'll do that here in a minute all right back here on bigger 10 one last group of teams to glean some Intel from Curtis of The Perennial Big 10 Network Camp tours and let's begin next Aaron we're going through your observations let's look at the Badgers of Wisconsin yep uh dinardo said most impressive thing about the defense was the staff providing immediate feed feedback after each play okay that's that's bizarre okay um defensive coordinator Trestle says he doesn't see ones and twos but one A's and one B's Griffith questioned the interior dep on the defensive line and if you know Howard Griffith it's got to be blatant for him to give a negative questioning and he said oh you know it's really hard in of course it is it's defensive line good grief those things like I don't know the one A's one B's thing that was a little weird uh head coach fickles on the offensive side uh says Camp has been more physical by Design he insinuated B basically on both sides of the line U both sides of the ball insinuated last year's lack of preseason physicality caued them early in the season or at least didn't put them where they wanted to be uh Phil Longo says remarkably oh this stood out to me remarkably over the last 12 years they've thrown the ball only eight 12 years they've only thrown the ball 18 more times than they've run I'm not sure what he was talking about whether I think he was talking about his career um on that side of the ball either way that's pretty impressive I thought a pretty impressive balance for an Air Raid Offense dinardo said it's tough to evalu evaluate offensive line this far into Camp they saw their final scrimmage H do you does anything stand out from Wisconsin for you it I think they're still trying to find themselves I agree it I think that the BTN crew probably went in there hoping they were going to be further along than what they saw um and I've lived through this as a fan I think fickle again has much more administrative support than Rich Rodriguez did when he came to our school but you know when you have embedded for decades one particular brand of football and then a guy comes in and says we're going to completely you know re Rebrand that which requires some roster turnover um that's a big ask and this is a huge leer I I mean to me it it's you know it's crapper get off the pot for Longo I think he'll be fired if it doesn't work I don't know that I'd want my year two Fortunes in the hands of Tyler van djk you know when the previous year I went six and six I'm not it's one thing i' I've got to go to Tyler van djk in a transition year after I went nine and three or 10 and two but when I started out going six and six then I have to go go to Tyler van djk that would have me worried you know I and and I think the defense is fine and it was good last year but the the statistical drop off just came from it was on the field more the offense did not do its uh its job playing complimentary football and that's hard to emulate with this style of air raid now Longo a couple years ago during the covid year when he took North when North Carolina uh went to that bulll game again I don't remember which of the new year six bowls they were in against T Texas A&M but I think they had like 2,000 yard rushers on that team so he he can have a lot of balance that's for sure but the the level of the level of explosiveness that you have to be to run this kind of offense in our league given the physicality at the line of scrimage that you are now going to subject your defense to being on the field more often on the other side as a result it it just it's way more than in the ACC Aaron way more okay and you have to really be explosive you got to be scoring in the mid to high 30s every single week because you can play really good defense and be giving up 24 27 points every sing week which you know for 30 years Wisconsin's defensive coordinators were contemplating bridge jumps if they gave up 27 points in a week okay let alone weekly and but that's what's going to happen when you're not occupying as much of the clock as you did going back to when Barry Alvarez first installed that system yeah and fickle spent a lot of time talking about to the BTN team how the need to be more creative and how they present their runs so he obviously recognizes that that is an issue um comprehensively I think it was a surprise to him which it shouldn't have been given that he was at Ohio State but I think he was surprised how physical the Big 10 Still Still actually is which if you're coming from the American you know maybe you know after a long time in the American maybe maybe that's not to be surprised but he did go out of his way to insinuate that their the way that they practiced last off season was really not up to a big 10 standard all right let's continue by the way can I say one last thing for your f what's happening at Wisconsin is a cautionary tale corre to the replacing of Kirk fence by the way yre correct U Michigan State running back Carter cam Carter right uh was interviewed I thought he was probably the best player interview of the tour that's a low bar but he just seemed like like he was an engaging dude who wanted to be there just got married this spring so I just wanted to note that uh Aiden Charles said and everybody's high on him rightfully so I think uh he said he doesn't feel the ton of pressure uh he praised his teammates and he said you know what I've got a lot of guys around me which I thought okay that's cool that's good that your quarterback is is praising his teammates more on that in a minute uh Lind Gren says offensive coordinator Lind Gren says he's challenged child's inconsistency mostly off the field with meetings and walkthroughs that's typical maturity for a 19-year-old and yes childes will be 19 in in September so those two things back to back where child said I don't feel a lot of pressure I got the guys around me who will pick me up and then the offensive coordinator saying consistency off the field those things kind of there's there's reading in and reading between the lines I think I might be doing the former with that but this was um after I I saw this after I posted this tweet thread uh he was just named a captain childes was so he's going to be 19 in September so um I I think everybody's impressed with him I just think the consistency in terms of preparation again he's 18 years old now that's got a long ways to go reading in between the lines or maybe reading into it uh let's see also on child's Yogi stressed the mental decision-making side is something we won't be able to assess until games are played Adamson says it's clear the staff knows the offensive line depth is going to be quote something they have to figure out so I I came out of the spring and I just thought it was a year zero kind of roster uh what I saw uh I love the coaching hire uh did a phenomen Jonathan Smith did a phenomenal job at Oregon State if they're patient and if he stays patient too yep okay and and and builds this thing from the ground up as a Michigan fan I'm worried okay I am I but if if I was a Michigan State fan I would get worried that either one of those two parties will get impatient especially with that with the tantalization of the transfer portal sitting out there well let's just Mel tuer this thing and and go 9 and three in a couple of years and before you know it though you have not laid that cultural Foundation now it says to me making a kid who's not yet 19 you're Captain but but making it is because he's the biggest profile recruit you got at your old school and he followed you there that says to me that that you are going to be patient and you're kind of sending that kind of a statement you know and so this year is really about establishing a culture and competency um and then doing something now that shows recruits you've stabilized this program so that you know you can you can now bring in the kinds of high school players that you can develop and immerse into your culture over the next few years so that in year three you're contending for some kind of a Bull game and then in year four maybe you're a threat uh to replace any of the the current big four or join them in the Big 10 that's easier said than done nowadays Aaron with the transfer portal out there and the impatience of fans and everything else but but this year I think they're they're in trouble this year I I do yeah I'm this is probably outside of obviously Iowa and and their opponent which Michigan state is an opponent of Iowa is probably one of the teams I'm most interested in watching given the cratering uh that's happened over the last few years uh because it's clear that everybody is really high on Childs and and from what I've seen from him which is not a ton you know it looks like he could be he's telling you to bet the over yeah he looks like he could be really really good um but again like you said the patience that's just going to be that's going to be the name of the game all right let's move on Final stop Northwestern dinardo says after about five teams in the Big 10 the main difference is coaching ability not the rosters agreed meaning that the talent level is pretty across the board similar yeah for the bottom 13 teams do you want to take a gander at who those are I think it's Oregon Ohio State Penn State Michigan and us I think it's possible Iowa instead of USC okay but I think we're it's 100% that's who the first four he's referring to are the debate is over the fifth team yeah yeah and he said uh basically Northwestern is one of the bottom 13 teams revon says the quarterback situation is in a solid spot both the offensive coordinator and head coach Ryan Brun says the quarter quarterback will be announced on game day spent a lot of time talking about the novel Stadium for the next seasons and it's you know it's a cool situation but you want to spend your your special talking about ball games not the stadium yeah that that's probably a tell yeah yeah Howard said this by the way Northwestern minus three against Miami of Ohio opening week we'll get get into that more tomorrow uh Howard says the secondary has a ways to go after portal attrition dinardo praised Braun for putting his stamp on the program very hoam final stop but but you know what and you would know this as an Iowa fan more than me that maybe what you want is a Northwestern fan yeah you know true yeah um but yeah it was pretty ho home it kind of seemed like an anticlimactic ending to to end with them after the national champions we'll talk about here in a second but uh yeah and and they were clearly more enamored with the stadium situation there than the team for sure yes all right let's talk about Michigan and uh we'll use my notes and let you react to those okay um Kenneth Grant telling the Big 10 Network we don't have the depth we had last year on the defensive line but he likes how several young players like you know Eda have come along Mason Graham tolds the Big 10 Network I didn't really see much of a drop off at all going against the revamped offensive line Jake bu to me seemed concerned about the quarterbacks notes that they were struggling to mentally process and anticipate against wik Martindale's defense the the entire BTN crew though was pretty high on the revamped offensive line and and to me the way we play football I'd much rather have a dominant offensive line and an okay quarterback than a dominant quarterback and an okay offensive line so that war what that looks like dard Robinson yes that warmed the cockles of my heart surprised the Big 10 Network crew thinks Michigan defense is going to be pretty good and the final thoughts what what stood out to me is the BTN crew noted the attitude of the team was more of one with an edge of being underestimated than aura that was their word of of being a defending national champion and then Jake butt actually responded back to me when he saw my comments about his comments regarding the quarterbacks quote I was not communicating concern rather pointing out that they are fa what they are facing throughout camp and how they will have to adjust that the battle is not about Talent alone but that playing Wink's defense requires the room to be mentally sharp understanding where the pressure is coming from and how the pre-nap and post Snap picture will change this is the challenging this is challenging because you cannot wait for the picture to reveal itself you have to anticipate and throw before the windows are open and clean I used an example of will Johnson's interception that was thrown by neither orgy or Warren overall there was back and forth competition by both units which is what you would like to see during camps this is one of the best defenses in the country I doubt there's going to be any quarterbacks that will that will face this unit and have their best game okay fine still that you know that was a little bit of a maybe a pulling of a punch um still I think key observation here was the chip on the shoulder comment that's what you want to see from this team for sure I I would go even as far to say from what from my vantage point from the outside looking in the only thing that's going to be different about this Michigan team than last year which won the National Championship is just depth now depth is is an important thing but we're not talking about we're not talking about a rebuild at all here you know JJ McCarthy didn't exactly you know he got injured you know feel feel sorry for him he's not he didn't exactly come into Minnesota and light things up not saying he was an overrated quarterback or anything but as you alluded to earlier you really don't need if you have a good offensive line a great offensive line you really don't need a great quarterback either so if I'm a Michigan fan other than depth at places I don't really see this team as that much different and the team that I just saw win a National Championship about 8 months ago so I'd be incredibly encouraged if I'm a Michigan fan going into this especially with you with the added edge of having a chip on your shoulder and being picked what third in the Big 10 so that's a good thing fourth four fourth yes really fourth I didn't realize that fourth in the Big 10 yeah picked behind Penn State yeah oh come on that's okay uh Donovan Edwards was really cool to listen to they he might be he might have been other than cam Carter he might have been 1 a 1B best interviews but just hearing his his story what he's doing off the field as well uh that was really cool this to uh to hear if you had to let's wrap it up here if if if you only watched the BTN Camp tour reports and knew nothing else about these teams you're your top pick your top four finishers in the Big 10 and which team you think is going to end up being worse than you thought like like my top four would be Oregon number one actually mhm Ohio State number two same Michigan third Penn State fourth yep that's how I would so we have the same on that same exact order even okay what is the team and and if I had to pick team that I think will be worse than I was thinking going in it would actually be Indiana because I was pretty high on them at least getting to a blll game with that new coach in the schedule I I can tell you that a lot of professional sports betters are all over Indiana in the over they have been on their podcast clamoring about it all summer long but um they sent Howard and and and rev there and those guys are a cliche a minute together as we pointed out earlier on the show and they were not overly enamored with what they saw they they actually thought the backup quarterback was better than Curtis War the Ohio transfer uh Howard himself said that they were they are still very thin at several positions so that's a team that I went out of there thinking after that report if I just watched that report I'd be thinking that's a team more likely to finish 16th in the league than seven and five yeah I I I think it's the team we talked about this episode which is Wisconsin again we we were deep into camp in last in fact they saw the last scrimmage which was the the last day of camp I believe that's how it typically works so Wisconsin I I still think that they are trying to figure figure figure out how to put Luke fickle identity and that staff's identity on that team which has been the same thing for the better part of the last 30 years so I was I was expecting you know Market Improvement whether that's one or two games this year and I'm not sure if they're going to end up looking that much different this season than they did last year that' be the one for me all right let's come back wrap things up here in a minute this week's X poll results everybody make your final call who wins the 2024 Big 10 Championship 43% said Ohio State the Michigan Oregon results pretty split though uh and then the field coming in at 29% Aaron your thoughts on those results man there's looks like you voted for Oregon I yeah I voted for Oregon that kind of surprises me I I think I think what would be more understand understandable would be like Ohio State 35 Oregon 2 Five Michigan 10 something like that is it possible you know you were remarking at the top of the show when you saw me putting USC on our confidence picture like what are you doing is it possible like Oregon's fans are still they also have still not woken up to the fact they're in the Big 10 the other way yet and they're supposed to troll these polls to to you know represent their team you know what I'm trying to say no that's true no that's true but yeah this is especially Michigan finishing ahead of organ I mean I could see a Michigan Oregon championship game pretty easily MH um I and I mean they're going to see each other during the regular season too but yeah that was it was skewed in a way that I that I didn't really see coming that brings us to our feedback of the week from Tom Johnson who says Ohio State hasn't won anything of importance for four years now until they can beat Michigan which I think they will this year you can't pick them to win the Big 10 Oregon is a much better team can't argue with that except Oregon's never even won a big 10 game true that's true you know that's what I found fascinating about it well Ohio State hasn't won anything Oregon's not even won a game in the Big 10 you know but I I what I do think is interesting about Ohio state is is this idea that Talent was their issue no that that that wasn't their issue nor is this Urban Meer this is the most talented roster in recent memory dude it's not even like the 2019 Buckey that had Justin Fields Chase young Jeff okuda okay I mean not it's not even it's not even close to that in my view but it's a very very good football team but there there there are things about them I'm I'm going to be those receivers they're going to be getting far fewer targets and catches between Chip Kelly's run heavy Michigan like offense and the and the fact that the first month and a half of the year they have the schedule we had last year they're be they're winning every game by 40 so you're not going to be playing a lot of the you're not going to play AA abuka in the third quarter you know um when against akan I will be fascinated to see how these guys take to not getting the ball at the rate they're accustomed to I I will be very interested to see that might be great I don't know but it'll be interesting all right any final thoughts out of you as we head to a game week no I just have to say
